"Yess!" I said and engulfed Harry in a massive hug. I had completely forgotten about the events from yesterday, I guess you could say that was a good thing.
"Wait really...?" Harry asked questionably.
"YES. I SAID YES YOU PRAT." I playfully hit him on the arm. "Don't worry it's not a dream." Next thing I knew Harry pulled my face to his and snogged me with so much passion. Why hadn't I said yes to him years ago, the way his lips felt on mine, the way our lips locked. It was perfect, and it was what I needed after the death of Percy.
"Ginny do you want to go on a date tonight?" Harry asked me after we pulled apart for air.
"Well I have to, don't I. I am your girlfriend." He kissed me yet again.
"And this is why I love you Ginny Weasley." Ok that took a bit to process, I know he's said that before but now that we're official it kind of hit me like a rock. He was telling the truth, I decided not to reply. I didn't know how to. "Just meet me in the Gryffindor common room at 9 o'clock tonight."
"Ok," I replied, excited to discover what he had planned for the two of us. "We should go down for lunch. Public or not yet?" I asked him, I secretly hoped he wanted public. The feelings I had for him were genuine and I was slowly but surely falling in love.
"Public, but only if your happy. I don't want to push it." Aww... he was so sweet.
"Lets go then," I said maybe a little to quickly. I jumped up of him then pulled him off the couch with me. He was smirking.
"Just wait a second." Harry said before I dragged him out the door. He stepped closer to me. "I need to kiss you one last time, before we go public."
He leaned his lips to mine, as kissed me with more intense than any of the other ones. I kissed back with just as much intense. We may have stood there for several hours, just snogging each other's faces off, until there was gagging sound coming from the door. We both turned around and their were Ron and Hermione. Smirking but also looking quite disgusted.
"Well this day esculated fast." Ron said matter of factly, "I never thought I would ever see the day that I would see my best friend snogging the living daylights out of my sister. And believe it or not, I'm quite happy about it actually. Welcome to the family Harry."
I gaped at Ron, who was this guy and what had he done with my Brother. My brother wasn't this 'cool' about things. "Well, thanks Ron. Anyway, we were just about to head down for lunch."
"Have you even checked the time," Hermione added in still smirking. "It's nearly dinner, you guys slept in." Harry and I blushed.
"Ok, then lets head down for Dinner." I grabbed Harry's hand and pulled him out the door, Hermione and Ron in tow.
We walked along the halls in silence, it wasn't awkward but rather pleasant. When were reached the Great Hall, it was time. I squeezed Harry's hand and we walked into the hall as if nothing had changed, and all this was just normal. Sadly it didn't seem like everyone else thought that. The second we walked into the hall everyones heads turned to us and gaped. Everyone then erupted in applause and galleons seemed to be being passed between people. I guess everyone betted on us, but I can't be sure. Harry and I sat down at our usual seats with Ron and Hermione opposite us.
We ate in silence, once I was finished I turned to Hermione and signalled for her to come with me. I wanted some girl time before my date, I needed to get ready and if you know anything about me, I'm not the girly girl. I know zero about makeup, dresses. My life was quidditch and mud who cared about any of that stuff people like to call beauty.
We decided to head up to Hermione's dorm, she had more nice clothes than me, and we were pratically the same size.
"Hermione. I need help. I have a date with Harry tonight and you know me, if just any regular night I'd just wear trackies and my Quidditch hoodie (Harry's Quidditch Hoodie to be more exact, I still had it.) But I can't it's our first date."
"Don't worry Ginny, I'll make you look better than you ever thought you could look."
"Ok, Hermione." I said worridly, "But absolutly NO dresses or Makeup, understand."
"Ginny, I know, I have the perfect outfit planned. Come I'll show you." Hermione opened up her trunk and pulled out some clothes. A pair of black jeans with holes in the knees (what was with muggles, who want's to see just your knees), A black and white stripped top with cut out shoulders (Don't understand the point on that either) and some white shoes with Converse written on them, I guess that was the brand. No jewellery, thank Merlin.
Hermione handed me the clothes and I went and got changed in the conjoining bathroom. The clothes were so comfortable, I never knew nice clothes could be. I walked back out back into the dorm and spun around for Hermione.
"Ginny, you look so pretty!" Hermione squealed. "Come on lets do your hair."
I sat down on Hermione's bed while she stood up and started to curl my hair with her wand.
"Also Hermione, can it be an updo. I hate hair in my face. I don't see how you girls manage without eating your hair." Hermione chuckled,
"Don't worry Ginny I know exactly what I'm doing"
After another hour, way to long to do hair if you asked me. My look was complete and it was nearly 9 o'clock. I took one last look in the mirror and was ready to head downstairs when Hermione added, "Ginny, hold up. Take this, "She handed me Harry's Quidditch jumper. "I thought it would be cute if when you get cold you just chuck it on. Harry will be like, wait what. How'd you get my quidditch jumper."
I nodded, hugged Hermione then headed down stairs. Excitement engulfing me. When I reached the bottom of the stairs, Harry was already their waiting for me. I walked towards him, and he just stared.
"You going to say something Potter," I smirked. He kept staring.
"You look Beautiful, Ginny. Actually beautiful doesn't quite cut it. You look stunning." I grinned, he seemed loss for words.
"Is Harry James Potter, goggling over a girl. I would never have known." I giggled, he was still starring. I was just wearing jeans and a top imagine if I was wearing a full on dress. He probably would have fainted. I think I'll do that next time, stuff the fact that I hate dresses.
"Stop your staring, Potter and let's go. This relationship isn't going to go well if the only thing you do is goggle over me."
Harry broke out of his daze finally. "Come on Gin, I call you beautiful and stare at you and all you can muster up to call me is Potter." I playfully winked at him. "Urghhhhhh... You're going to be the death of me Ginny Weasley."
I giggled again, Merlin I never giggle. What's happening to me.
"Let's go," Harry finally said. He held out his hand for me to take then led me out the portrait hole.
"Harry, if we get caught I am going to kill you."
"Don't worry, we're Head girl and boy. Plus McGonagall practically loves us. We'll be fine."
"If you're sure." I droned. He rapped his arm around my waist while I placed my head on his shoulder. It felt so nice, why didn't I agree to this years ago.
We finally got down to the black lake, the sun had gone down and the moon was up shining over us. Harry led me down, closer to the water. When we got closer I noticed a picinic rug lying under my favourite tree, with a picnic basket.
"My lady," Harry grinned gesturing me to sit down on the rug. I sat down, meanwhile Harry sat down next to me and brought the picnic basket closer.
"What will it be? Treacle Tart, Pumpkin Pasties or Cauldron Cakes." Harry asked politely.
"It's a no brainer Harry. If you've stalked me Harry for as lond as Hermione has said you have then you know very well that I want Treacle Tart."
"Yeah I know, but it doesn't hurt to ask. I'm being a gentlemen you see."
"I do see and I like it very much."
We ate food and chatted the night away. Just yesterday, my world was at an end. Today could quite possibly be the best day of my life. Although that is probably an exaggeration. I leaned into Harry's side, he was so warm.
"Did you know Ginny, that star up their is called Sirius. It's the brightest star in the sky." I nodded, of course me being smarter than him I already knew this. But he was just being cute. "You know why I told you that?" Harry asked me.
"No, why?"
"Because you're my brightest star in the my sky." I blushed, he was so sweet. Who knew Harry Potter was a big softy. Certainly not me.
"Hey Gin," Harry said after a moment of silence between us. "Am I still worse than the Giant Squid?"
I grinned, "You know Potter, you never have been and you never will be. Remember that."
I shivered it was getting cold. Then I remembered Hermione's plan. I grabbed out Harry's Quidditch jumper and chucked it on.
"Hey, that's where my Quidditch Jumper went." I kissed him, no words were needed. I layed down and put my head in his lap. It was so peaceful, just me and him. Our own little world of just the two of us, no one else. Who knew a first date could be so special.
