It's that time again to respond to reader questions before writing the next episode of New Titans. I am actually pretty excited about the next episode, since "Fear Itself" is another episode from the original animated series that I think is really good and there are several other things that I plan to do in it. My goal is to have it out within a week, but real life can always cause outlines to take longer to write. Anyway, let's dive into those questions…

From Eris

When Beast Boy gets the form of the Beast, Will he also get a second personality (Beast) which he (after some time) accepts/befriends?

No. I don't like the idea of that form being a second personality separate from Beast Boy. It will be more like Raven's Emoticlones, aspects of her personality that are a part of her. So this won't be like a Jekyll/Hyde thing or Bruce Banner and the Hulk. Beast Boy and his Beast form aren't separate entities, they're the same being.

When the Doom Patrol appears, Will we also

meet other members (beside the members we saw in the cartoon) of the group like Crazy Jane, the Chief, Dorothy, Danny the Street,..?

The Doom Patrol already appeared twice in the first season when it showed Beast Boy leaving them and them reacting to the public announcement about the Titans being the new protectors of Jump City. They have the same members that were in the cartoon, though the Chief has been mentioned as the former leader of the Doom Patrol before the other members discovered the Chief's secret about causing their accidents and the Chief was killed by one of the Doom Patrol's enemies. More about the Chief will be revealed in the future though. Danny the Street and Dorothy Spinner are planned to appear in New Titans, though not as members of the Doom Patrol. You can actually look forward to Danny appearing later this season. As for Crazy Jane… I love her, but I currently have no plans to use her in New Titans. I could always get some ideas for her later, so don't count her out completely.

Will you put in some of the teen titans go comics as episodes like

Naked city: because I find this one hilarious.

Wrong place, wrong time: due to revealing kilowatts backstory and the teen tyrants.

Metamorphosis: geo force debuts and reveals terras backstory.

Dial h for hero: Robby Reed debuts.

Issues of the tie-in comic to the animated series will definitely be adapted into New Titans. A villain from the tie-in comics, the Agent, already appeared in the first season as the villain responsible for turning a struggling magician into Mumbo. The Agent will appear later in this season as well, since he's planned to have a big role in the future. Issue #12 of the tie-in comic ("Magic & Misdirection") will actually be adapted later this season, since the issue was set during Terra's time as a Titan. Season 6 of New Titans will also be heavily based on the later issues of the tie-in comic, since I think that those issues are the closest we have to a sixth season of the original animated series and I think a lot of those issues are actually quite good. As for the specific issues that you listed…

Naked City: No. I already have plans for what I want to do with Mad Mod and I don't think the events of "Naked City" would do anything to advance those plans. It would just be filler and that's something I'm trying to avoid in New Titans. I want every issue to in some way develop the characters, story, and/or world.

Wrong Place, Wrong Time: Definitely. I love the multiverse and I definitely intend to introduce the concept into New Titans.

Metamorphosis: No. Brion already made his first appearance at the beginning of season two in a flashback and Terra's backstory is something I plan to reveal later this season after hinting at it in her debut episode. Though for the record, I love Metamorphosis. I think the issue is great and gives the Terra plot closure. However, Terra's backstory differs from the one given in the issue. You might remember that when Slade took off his mask, she recognized his face. Terra knows Slade and how she knows him is a reveal that I'm building up to. The first season was all about "Who is Slade?" The second season is all about "Who is Tara?"

Dial H for Hero: Maybe, but most likely no. Robby Reed is a character that I'm not very familiar with and honestly when it comes to characters that "borrow" powers from others, I'm more interested in Black Alice. As I've said before, New Titans has a large cast and I try to include characters that I would be interested in working with. I'll still consider Robby, though I make no promises.

And also will the hybrid appear.

You mean the X-Men parody that fought the Teen Titans and the second Blue Beetle? No, I have no plans to have them appear in New Titans and I don't think that will change. They don't really interest me.

Will technis have a big role later.

Possibly. You might remember back in season one that Fixit mentioned he was a member of Technis. I have considered using Technis in later storylines, though the problem is that in the comics their storylines are… confusing. As comic reviewer Linkara said in his retrospective on the history of the Titans: "I have never known less about what is going on in a comic." Adapting it may be tricky. But it eventually led to "JLA/Titans: The Technis Imperative", which is really good and has moments that I love to work into New Titans. So I'm undecided.

And will teenage heroes who never joined the titans join here like stargirl, secret, damage, and the ray appear.

…you do know that Damage has been a member of the Titans in the comics, right? But as for if he will be in New Titans, I haven't decided on anything for him yet. I might still consider him, but I don't think Secret and the Ray will. There are just already so many characters and I don't think that there's room for either of them. I do have plans for Stargirl, however. There's a chance that she will be appearing in season three as part of a storyline that involves the fate of the Justice Society in the New Titans universe.

And since Tamaran doesn't have a nudity taboo are people allowed to walk around naked there and would beats boy do that.

...no. Just no. Beast Boy would never do that because his teammates would obviously be uncomfortable with it and he's not a jackass. New Titans is mature, but I'm trying to keep it tasteful. The mature elements have a point. Nudity for the sake of having nudity wouldn't have a point. I'm trying to be better than that. While Tamaran was mentioned not to have a nudity taboo in the comics, it was played for laughs. This isn't that kind of story.

Will Jarras minion appear he is an obscure Titan who is an alien.

No. I like using obscure characters, but only when they interest me or when I think that I can do something with them. Jarras Minion doesn't stand out to me as a character that I would like to work with and I already have plenty of characters that I do want to work with.

And that's all the new questions that reviewers sent. If you have any more, please send them.
