I personally think Naomi is so much like you. She likes cats, has a nice bf, plays badminton, always cheerful and childish etc. Did you base her character on yourself? Btw, nice chapter!

Reply- That is not entirely true. Naomi is like me in few things like she likes cats, hates babies, and plays badminton but unlike Naomi, I never had a chance in love like her and I never had a crush on just one person for a long time except once and I am definitely not childish or cheerful. So, she is halfway based on me. Thanks for the review.

Mirror Mirror

Naomi stared at her image in the mirror. She was wearing a yellow crop top with a peacock feather design on her chest and light blue jeans that reached till her ankle. She wore a pair of white peep-toe pumps. Earrings in the shape of teardrops with yellow stone hung down her ears and a pendant of the same shape and color sat on her chest. She didn't wear her headband. Her hair was perfectly curled and pulled to her left side. Yes, she now knew that she looks like her mother - wearing her jewelry and her hairstyle. Her stomach churned in nostalgia. Her expression was sad as she loved Cora with all her heart and she was gone forever. But then again she smiled, knowing that nothing is permanent and eternity loves the creations of time.

There was a bang on the door that brought her out of her trance. The door opened with a swing and Riri came in. She was wearing a dark red bodycon dress that reached a few inches above her knee and pumps with wedge heels and straps on knees. Her dress was open in a heart shape on her chest. Riri didn't look at her and said, "Naomi, hurry up! We are going to be late." Then she gasped looking at her little sister looking just like her mother. She came to her showed her image to her and said singly, "Mirror, mirror, on the wall, you showed mother once and for all."

Riri smiled and went out of the room. Naomi looked at herself in the mirror and sighed, "Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who's the loneliest of all?"

Kai was wearing a purple shirt and black pants. Tyson wore a light yellow t-shirt with dark blue pants. Ray wore a white shirt and black pants and Max wore a green t-shirt and light blue pants. Kenny still wore what he always wears. Riri and Naomi came out of the house. Hilary was behind them, hiding behind the curtain.

"Oh, come on, Hilary. You look lovely," Naomi pulled her in front of her. There she was, in a cute outfit. It was pink top with gems on it, no strap and open back, and a flair blue skirt that reach just above her knee. She was wearing rosy lipstick and earrings with a pink stone. She wore a silver stiletto-heeled sandal. Tyson could not take his eyes off her to which, Naomi teased, "You will fall out with this much staring."

When they reached the party venue, they could hear the loud sound of music from inside the party hall. The hall was filled with famous beyblading teams. At the end of the hall, there was a stage where Ming-Ming was performing. She wore a baby pink silk frock and her blue hair was open. The rest of her team was nowhere there. Basically, the rest of her team had rejected the invitation for the exhibition match as few were training and few were in urgent business. Ming-Ming had come there for the singles round. Ming-Ming was covering a song and the audience was enjoying it with glasses of wine, brandy, and cold drinks.

In the backstage, the young lady with purple-lavender hair stood nervously and peeped to see the crowd gathered by Ming-Ming's song. She was going to sing after her. She wore a beautiful high-low white gown. The end of her gown was sweeping the floor. She wore rose gold gladiator sandal with three-inch wedge heels. Her hair was pulled into an updo bun leaving her bangs and strands of short hair from sides. She wore light orange eyeshadow and lipstick. Alice came with a bunch of white flowers and said, "Wow Sianna, you look beautiful!"

Sianna gave her a sad smile. Alice worriedly asked, "Is everything okay?"

"Yes," she said looking down, "I'm just nervous."

"Don't fret," she tried motivating her, "You always sang for the theatre show. What's the problem here?"

"I just..." she looked aside, "...don't know how to do it here. I wore a mask in the show so no one knows it is me but here-" she looked from the backstage door and continued, "I can't hide who I am and maybe many don't know me but who knows, hates me."

"Stop thinking like that," she hugged her softly so she would ruin her dress, "I love you. You're my best friend. Look, Since Beysquad was assigned to arrange the party and Alia ditched us, Rosetta and I made sure your performance goes wonderful."

Sianna turned to her and suddenly stop as she felt pain on her back. Alice came close and said, "Hey! is the pain still there?"

"Yeah"

"You did fall from a bad height in the show."

Sound of footsteps approaching them was heard. They looked towards it. A guy with fiery red hair with two strands hanging loose in front of his face and pale skin was coming towards them. Sianna looked at him with eyes wide open. Alice went to him and said, "Pardon me, sir, but only performers are allowed in here."

He looked at her and almost opened his mouth to reply but Sianna cut in, "Alice, would you mind?" She gestured the door the led outside.

"Okay," she nodded and went out. Sianna looked at her go and then said with a sigh, "Tala."

"Yes?" he said without the slightest bit of hesitation and looked at her. She frowned and asked, "Why are you here?"

"Just wandering off," his answers were short showing he didn't want to talk. She asked, "Did you know I am performing?"

"No." To her, it almost sounded like a lie. She further asked, "Don't you hate parties?"

"Yes"

"Then, why-" she was about to question more but she was cut in between by him, "Sianna, I am not fond of talking to someone who has anything to do with Boris."

She looked down in despair. What she had said a few seconds ago to Alice came true. She was hated by people who knew her. Without any further talking, Tala left, leaving Sianna alone in the dark.

Sianna knew her connecting with the world's most known criminal would never be taken lightly so she had always kept it a secret and told her brothers and sister to do the same. She knew that there was a connection between her friend's death and Biovolt. But all of it didn't matter to her. All she wanted is to keep her family safe, the first reason they were sent there. She was burdened with the responsibility of keeping her family safe, away from Biovolt, away from her mother and away from that miserable life of solitude and isolation. It was okay if she had to work somewhere with a bad impression but she would do anything to save her family- one person in particular.

Tyson and Hilary danced when Ming – Ming started singing a romantic song. Their dance had more pulling closer, blushing, and staring than dancing. Tyson pulled Hilary so close to himself that she now couldn't even move. He stared into her ruby eyes as she stared back. They stopped moving. Their heartbeat became faster every second. There was no talking, just staring. With the sandal on, Hilary was almost the same height as Tyson. The song was now on just music now. Hilary then looked aside as it was becoming awkward. Tyson pulled her chin up and he came closer to her face and then they kissed. He could feel her soft lips against his. There was so much passion in that kiss and they just wanted it to not end.

I don't believe in soulmates

But I think we are something close to it.

I see you as my destiny

I want you for eternity.

I believe in you and I need you

Darling, our love can be so true.

And it hurts when you are not here

We can write our own fate dear.

Sitting in front of the bar, Kai and Riri watched the couple. When they stopped, Hilary shyly pulled away from Tyson, came to Riri, and stood beside her, blushing.

"Your lipstick is smudged," Riri said calmly. Hilary was shocked and asked, "Really?" Then she looked at a glass to check it- it was not. She realized Riri was teasing. Riri laughed lightly. Hilary just blushed. It was their first kiss.
