Mewni Castle
"Sir it seems the rebels are taking position for an assault" Marco looked at the knight and nodded. "I'll relay this to the Queen, set up positions of defense. Evacuate the inner sections around the Main Gate and set up a retaliation force" The knight nodded and ran to the others down the hall. Marco turned his head and walked toward me emotionless...no reaction of urgency...nothing at all." It seems your guess was on point, they plan to attack soon if not today". I knew Kalex wouldn't wait around for anything, the moment everything was in place he'd strike.
"Kalex is very intelligent he'll have an ace or two up his sleeve not to mention his combat experience...he's one of the few people even I would be wary to go up against. I have no doubt the Knights of Mewni will be there...which lays another problem...not to mention star and her mother could be with them aswell" Marco began walking before he stopped.
"Leave those butterflies to me" I remembered what eclipsa said about him...how Macro can save or destroy my plans...she seemed really sold on him and with good reason and if there's is anyone who can turn him back...it'd be her.
"No Marco...i want you to lead the charge against the main rebel forces and focus on the Red Suns" He turned his head and nodded. "If star is with them I doubt she'd be in the main assault since she's basically precious cargo...and precious cargo get the secret routes...and remember what i said before...i want kalex alive"
"What about the remaining 4 Red Suns"
"Kill them" Marco kneeled and walked towards the others knights. The Reds Suns served me well for a short time...but Kalex created this legacy of butterflies and to be honest...i want what we had all those years ago. It'll take time but once i restore my kingdom and the Old Butterfly Order...maybe if I help him repair his home...he would see my intentions were not blackened, that sliver of hope for me and him is what keeps him going. I stared at a frame of all the Mewni Queens.
"So please Kalex...make the right decision"

"Hmm all this noise outside is beginning to annoy me" I looked to the knight who i assume was task with guarding me. "Psst darling would you mind telling me what all the ruckus is about" He spoke no words. The gate opened and i saw knights running across the frame in a rush, i believe the attack Mewni had warned me about was beginning.
"Oh how exciting, Mewni's first test as queen...how well do you think it'll go...Marco" He walked in and dismissed the knight before closing the gate. He approached me, hands gripped and eyes locked on mine. Now even i have to admit I was shocked by how much he had grown whether it was darkness taking over or not he had grown...but i doubt it was that.
"So what may i ask is the purpose of you seeing me. You never come without Mewni being here" He looked at me as i saw his purple dark eyes.
"It seems the rebels are planning an attack on the castle along with the Red Suns" I guessed that was the case. "And Mewni?...whats her plan" He sat down in front of me on one of Rombulus's crystal chairs.
"Its none of your concern...I've come here to ask questions about the The Old Butterfly Order" Confused I thought why would Marco care about that, But seeing as how I was at a disadvantage I answered. "My oh My someones curious...hmmmm...The Old Butterfly Order is as ancient as the creation of the Red Suns if not longer. Its Original Queen as far as we know was Nova Butterfly" Marco unchanged looked at the infrastructure of this prison, the cyan glow it gave off was truly memorizing even after spending 500 years here.
"This land previsouly belong to the Red Suns and the Senaz Empire, Kalex is fighting to regain his people's home. Seeing as how him and Queen Moon have a common enemy...it isn't out of the question of a potential allegiance between the two" He stood up eyes filled with determination and eyebrows with a stern stance. With what he would do with this information i don't know but he wouldn't be asking out of curiosity. He reminded me of his old self...it was the curiosity or the determination he showed but now with a hint of anger.
"Where did she...Nova...Where did she come from" I looked down at the crystal that encapsulated me and thought. I had never asked that question nor thought of it...where did we come from. I shook my head.
"I don't know...you have a better chance of asking Mewni about it" He stared at me and clasped his hands together
"Star is most likely with them...I plan to end this conflict once and for all..." I glared at him. I didn't know where he was going with this.
"Marco you understand Queen Mewni...as long as she's on the throne there will always be conflict...same as if I or Star were on that seat...the people of this land have lost their trust in The butterfly lineage"
"I know..." He stood up and showed me his arm filled with purple veins and cracks.
"Do you know how dark magic works...seeing as how your the Queen of Darkness and all" I stood quiet knowing were he was going with this.
"Dark magic is a key that opens your deepest desires...and taints them...I don't even remember what mine used to be nor my previous memories besides a few glimpses...but all I know is what I want right now" He began to walk to the door. Of course that isnt all dark magic is but...What did he mean a key...his deepest desire...memories?!. He has and will be vital to my future plans for this land so his words pierced within my head but more so...his current goal...his desire his what held my curiosity.
"What is it!" He stopped and turned as if he were telling me to ask again
"What is it...your desire...right here right now Tell me WHAT DO YOU WANT!!" he lifted his hood up and turned around.
An explosion deafed my ears and all I saw was his lips move and his eyes staring into me before I was crystallized once more. As I saw him walk the door closed behind him with a thud...his desire... kept replaying over and over and over in my mind. Comprehending what he just said...
Was he...serious?
