Agatha wasn't accelerating past the dark colors like she thought she would. Her speed was constant as she fell, not even gaining enough speed for the wind to very audible.

Audino landed on a platform floating freely in the air. Her feet made a bit of a clank against the dusty, red ground. There was an unnerving lack of wind and sound. The plain smelling air tasted like staled bread on her tongue.

"After all this time."

A voice sounded from everywhere. The Audino looked around, but she couldn't see anything.

A wind kicked up a bit of dust. Something went underneath the platform she was standing on. She went low the the ground and covered her face for a short moment until the wind passed.

Agatha looked up at a sharp dragon's body. Its wings were the unmistakable, layered white wings. It's body shape and attributes were a perfect match. It was Palkia.

But it wasn't normal. It's mouth had strange, completely dark tendrils connecting the top and bottom of it. The color all around on it's body was gone, making it look like a pure black ghost.

It's pearls in its shoulders were missing and it's eyes were closed, but she could still feel it staring at her. It was angry.

"I'm glad one of you is finally here," Palkia's voice shivered.

Agatha got on both of her feet, her fight or flight response nailing her to the ground.

"Do your parents know you're here?" Palkia asked.

The Audino fell down and picked herself back up when the pokemon feinted moving closer to her.

"You should have picked a better hobby when you had the chance, but you wanted revenge. Ironic that it led you to me."

The Palkia raised both of its arms, somehow making a shadow fall over the Audino. Its arms fell down. The Audino barely pushed through her fear and jumped out of the way, but the arms were too big and took up too much space.

Agatha was in free fall again, spinning in the air. Palkia flew down, chasing with outstretched claws until it suddenly vanished from view.

Audino fell onto dry, comfy grass on her back. Still shivering with fear, she stood up immediately and turned around looking for if there was anyone else.

She looked around, with nothing in sight over the horizon until there was a Gifarig. She was already walking in the Audino's direction, wearing a relaxed kind of blank expression. She was strangely already close considering Agatha didn't see her there before.

"Who are you?" Agatha called out.

"Why are you here?" Girafarig asked.

"By accident?"

"They're gone. You've got no reason to be here," she said.

"I'm looking for things."

"Your own spot in your family's graveyard? Because I will not hesitate to give you one."

The Gifarig's tail extended close enough to make the Audino jump back a little. The head was smiling at her, moving strangely. She could recognize the telepathy it was using.

"I can't really blame you for having a death wish, though... Just look at you."

The Audino looked around the tail straight at the Gifarig with bland eyes.

"Get your thing away from me," Agatha said.

The tail retracted back to the Gifarig's back after its expression turned into a frown. Gifarig's expression mimicked it.

Palkia swooped in from behind Agatha. It landed with an aggressive stomp on the ground behind the Gifarig. It stood and stared.

"It let you live, you know," she said. "So just take it or leave it."

"I don't care what you think you are, I'm going to turn you into a puddle," Agatha said.

"How are you gonna do it? Drowning us in your parents' money?"

"You were the ones who did it, weren't you?" Agatha asked.

"I understand what you're going through," Palkia said.

Palkia's booming, low voice silenced the Girafarig and her tail. It somehow managed to steal the whole atmosphere. Even the blades of grass seemed to lean in and listen.

"Someone took something from you, leaving nothing but the void and justice. Your family was simply part of my justice. I only left you alive because it was deemed so."

Palkia's eyes opened, revealing a completely empty space. Agatha felt a cold chill run down her whole body, and felt it like a pulse that never stopped.

"And if you do not wish to be grateful, then join me in the void. Your family's power was what started this. Leave. Give up. Your kind wasn't born to face mine."

Agatha wanted to know more, even if it was dangerous.

"What do you mean my family's power?" Audino asked.

"The power of the Peacekeeper," Palkia said.

"Pointless!" the Gifarig's tail said. "Forget it! Just get her outta here."

"For now," Palkia said.

A wind blew over the area and became harsh enough to make Audino cover her face with her arms. She was knocked off her legs, but landed on metal instead of grass.

The wind was suddenly nonexistent, not even taking a second to vanish. Her surroundings changed back to the forest with her home barely out of sight. Audino felt dizzy, holding her head to keep stable as she stood back up.

For some reason, she felt extremely tired. The night and day difference made it obvious it wasn't normal.

Agatha was a little stressed out now that it was over. Everything was crazier in hindsight, but it wasn't extremely mind-boggling to her, but she didn't know what to do next. Her parents told her if she felt or went through anything unnatural to go to them, but that wasn't an option anymore.

Agatha dug deep, wondering if there was just anyone else left to ask. A small encounter clicked in her head, but it was a reliable option. A librarian who lived in town that had helped them before. There was no telling how much she actually knew.

Agatha walked forward, off of the device. She brushed herself off. Tomorrow, she'd give it a try.
