Chapter 28th
There were a number of bulkheads having been damaged from the explosion. The entire submarine from top to bottom was being checked out from damage control parties. Chief Francis Sharkey had his hands full in the missile room getting into shape with the rest of the crew working hard.
He needed to make sure the missile Control panel was working perfectly. Since he didn't need any major shorts with the wiring in case of another attack. Though they had blown up the enemy submarine and without any knowledge of where it had come from with the country.
Everyone was tired. Chief Sharkey after making sure his men were working and finishing up with the control panel. He had advised them that he was going to take a short break in the mess hall and see on whether the cook was able to come up with something. Unless all of the power was still out? Though all of the generators had kicked in. He had known that communications was still out. Though he had an idea that someone was working on the problem.
Walking out into the semi red lighting into the corridor. He saw crew members working with the clean up. When he finally arrived into the mess hall with a number of off duty crews having drinks and sandwiches that Cookie was able to come up with.
He walked up to cookie having finished with someone as his assistant helping with the orders. "How's business Cookie?" Sharkey had to asked with curiosity.
"Booming! However we are attacked again like that. I don't think their is going to be anyone left alive with the next explosion." He will make mention with his scary tone of voice and demeanor. "What would you like to have to eat?"
"Do you have anything hot at all?" Sharkey was hungry and with his stomach growling...
"Of course I have even with the generators taking over. I have steak or Roast beef as with mash potatoes and corn on the cob, salad and rye bread." He replied to give Chief Francis Sharkey a smile onto his face.
"I will have the steak, mash, corn on the cob and rye bread. Please skip the salad and I will have a large cup of black coffee." He said to find a seat not to close to anyone. He wasn't in any type of mood to chat.

Meanwhile downbelow C deck...
Kowalski and Patterson were working on restoring communications throughout the entire submarine. Patterson had replaced two of the major wires inside the communications relay system sending signals to all of the intercoms on board the Seaview.
The both of them were knee deep in grease and dirt once they had replaced the wiring to take two hours total. Once it was done Kowalski had to test the system in the control panel relay system contacting certain departments. "Control room this is Kowalski we are finished with the communications. Are you able to hear me at all?" He will have asked waiting for them to answer.
"This is Commander Harrison, we hear you nice and clear. Thanks for a great job of restoring communications." He will say with a brief smile to see if he was able to contact Admiral Nelson having been in a cabin for awhile trying to get some sleep.
Meanwhile Kowalski was able to contact the aft missile room, sickbay, engineering and other key departments. Once they were done they were finally able to take a long break advising Commander Harrison of this fact and letting the reliefs know with the two taking a break before coming back to their regular stations.
Kowalski and Patterson were glad in a way that the job was done. It was a big job with communications restored. Now they needed to continue on with the repairs and with the exercise though still dangerous.
Meanwhile on board the Exeter...
General Norton needed to find out the condition of the Seaview and her condition. Since still two of his crew members were sitting in the brig. He was sitting on the brig with the captain talking to his radioman about receiving a very faint echo possible chance it's the Seaview.
"Captain is he sure at all?" General Norton had to know with helping them out if possible.
"Yes sir he's sure. I have the coordinates for us to follow. Do you want the jets sent out at all General Norton?" The Captain had to asked since it was his call with the General to make.
"Follow the coordinates. However don't send out any jets at all for now. But do have them on stand by just in case." General Norton gave the order though the captain was liking it at all.
However when Chief Daniels had found out with the order. He wasn't exactly happy with needing to remove the explosives on board the four jets. He had told his man to pull them out as quickly as possible.
With Colonel Bracken being told on the way to the bridge to speak with General Norton. When he had reached the bridge. The captain had told the pilot to stand down for now until further orders.
Shaking his head without having a single word with the general. He went to say something to the other three pilots before heading for his quarters to rest and hopefully later he will be in the mood to have something to eat. Lately his appetite has been just awful no doubt having lost a few pounds.
Even though his wife Melanie was always complaining about his weight over the years being herself a pilot as well on board the U.S.S. Enterprise for the past three years.
Grumbling he walked into his quarters throwing himself onto his bunk with covering his eyes with his hands before falling asleep and without removing his clothing.
Meanwhile Chief Daniels went to work with his own men to remove the explosives only to be on camera with General Norton and the captain adding them to catch the spies on board. They had suspected! But now they were going to have the evidence to prove it.
