*Chapter 20: Chasing Ratigan*
The citizens continue to fight off Ratigan's henchmen, but Ratigan's goons are overpowered. Basil, Dawson and three other male mice continued to battle against the professor. Robyn stood there, hiding the dagger in her dress robe to see Ratigan shake the mice off of him. He got his royal robes off and reveal his suit. Basil fell on the ground with a grunt. Robyn rushed over to him.
"Basil! Are you alright?" She asked. Ratigan gritted his teeth to see her caring for the detective. He then heard a whistle coming from the balcony. He looked up to see Fidget holding up Gustave in his batwings.
"The boy! The boy!" He called. Olivia, Zoe, and Ginny came out from the curtains to see Gustave being held by Fidget with horror. Robyn looked up and gasped.
"Gustave!" She cried. Ratigan took the opportunity as he grabbed Robyn in his arm and ran above a few heads of the male mice, and swung up to the balcony. Robyn screams for Basil, trying to get out of the grasp of the evil professor. Basil, Dawson, and Zoe ran after Ratigan, but they halt when Ratigan wrapped his arm around Robyn's neck, and held Gustave in the air by his shirt.
"Stay where you are!" He warned. "Or the boy dies! Robyn will be mine, Basil!" Robyn slightly choked when the arm is around her neck, she grabs the arm. Her hazel eyes look at Basil's worried expression. Ratigan disappeared as he dragged Robyn and Gustave out.
"Hurry Dawson!" Basil said. Dawson and the others followed the detective out of the royal hall to go after Ratigan.

Once they are outside, Basil pointed up at the sky to see a blimp. Ginny and Olivia came out to see the blimp.
"Where is he taking them?" Ginny asked. Basil climbed up the flagpole and grabbed a large rope.
"Dawson! Flaversham!" Basil called. "Gather up those balloons!" He pointed at the colorful balloons. Basil undid the rope and lowered the London flag down. They are about to make a flying contraction.
"I'm going with you!" Olivia said to Basil.
"No, you may not! It's too dangerous!" Mr. Flaversham said. "You stay here with Madame Ginny and Zoe."
"No. I'm going too." Zoe said with a look. "Robyn and Gustave mean a lot to me. Let me come along. Olivia will stay with my mother."
"We must hurry!" Basil said as he is struggled to make a flying contraction.
In the dark clouds, thunder rumbled and lightning flashed in the sky as the blimp flies across the London buildings. In Ratigan's blimp, Fidgt was pedaling while Ratigan was at the wheel. Robyn and Gustave were held hostage, but it didn't stop them from being afraid. Even Gustave had the guts to talk to the professor. Robyn grips on the dressing gown as she feels the cold air.
"Just wait! Basil will stop you and put you in jail!" The gypsy rat said with a look. "And Robyn will not marry a big, old, ugly, rat like you!" Ratigan slowly turned his head to face Gustave with annoyance and anger.
"Would you kindly sit down and SHUT UP?!" Ratigan shouted at the boy. Gustave flew back to the corner. Robyn faces Ratigan with anger in her eyes.
"You fiend!"
"And as for you, my darling, as soon as we are out of sight, you will marry me!" Ratigan said as he grabbed Robyn by the neck, making her gasp. "And the detective will be no more! I will be sure that you will never see him again!"
"I will never marry you, Ratigan!" Robyn spat. "I don't love you! You took away precious lives! You kidnapped my friends! And all you care about is my voice!"
"Love me or not, you are still mine!" Ratigan said. "And you will sing for me!" Robyn took out a dagger and attempt to stab Ratigan, but the professor is faster by grabbing her wrist, squeezing it. Robyn grunted a bit as Ratigan is hurting her wrist, making her drop the weapon. Gustave was about to get the dagger, but Ratigan steps on his hand, making the boy cry out.
"Let...go!" Robyn cried out. Ratigan kicked Gustave away and push Robyn down with his strength. Ratigan snarled at the mouse with anger.
"Must I teach you some respect?!" He yelled, bringing his hand up, ready to strike her.
"Look!" Gustave asked, pointing ahead. Ratigan turned to see a London flag in front of the blimp. The professor jump back in shock to see his enemy. Basil, Dawson, Mr. Flaversham, and Zoe stood on the matchbox tied by the flag with balloons inside. Robyn got up and smiled at the rescuers. Ratigan grew irritated, gritting his teeth and steered the blimp away.
"Let her go, chaps!" Basil told Dawson and Mr. Flaversham to loosen up one of the balloons. It released the air and made their ship fly faster to catch up with the blimp. Basil gave a smile of courage and very determined.
The chase continues as the airships went around the chimney rooftops of London. They sped around the statue of Lord Nelson. The blimp went under the bridge, trying to lose Basil's aircraft. Basil kept his smile on his face as Dawson made a terrified look when they are drawing close to the bridge. Zoe let out a scream and shut her eyes. But the aircraft missed the bridge. Dawson and Zoe look back and sighed in relief.
In Ratigan's blimp, Fidget kept pedaling faster and faster until he slowed down, he began coughing, tongue hanging out. Robyn managed to get the dagger and hid it before Ratigan turned to the bat with a look. Fidget jumped on board, standing behind Gustave who stood on the stool, looking out for Basil and the others. Robyn remains by the boy, watching the bat.
"We have to lighten the load." Fidget said as he gestured to Robyn and Gustave, intending to throw them off. Robyn's jaw dropped in disbelief. Gustave made a look at the bat.
"Are you kidding me?" He said. "I can't swim."
"That makes two of us." Robyn said to the young rat.
"Ooooh, you want to lighten the load?" Ratigan asked Fidget in a casual tone, clasping his hands together, forming a grin. Fidget grinned wickedly at Robyn and Gustave. Robyn brought Gustave close to her, protecting him. "Excellent idea!" Ratigan spoke as he grabbed the ears of the bat. He threw him off the blimp.
"No! Not me! I can't fly! I can't fly!" Fidget struggled to flap his wings in the air, but due to his broken wing, he ended up falling in the river. Robyn and Gustave looked down in fear, not sure if Fidget had drown or survived. Ratigan took control of the pedals and began to pedal faster. Robyn told Gustave to take control of the wheel since Ratigan was occupied. Behind the blimp, Basil's aircraft has caught up. They are an inch closer to the blimp.
"Steady!" Basil said. Dawson, Mr. Flaversham, and Zoe took control of the aircraft as Basil jumped off and grab the tail of the blimp. His feet nearly hit Ratigan in the head, but the professor ducked down and smirk at the detective. Robyn and Gustave are at the front of the blimp, but they let out a scream as they saw something ahead and it was too late to steer the wheel now. Ratigan looked to see what made the two scream, and he too screamed when the sight of Big Ben clock tower came close. Robyn and Gustave ducked down as the blimp into the bright yellow glass.
On the airship, Dawson and the two mice looked down in concern and worry as they see a small crack hole with Ratigan's blimp dangling along. Zoe covered her mouth, praying that her friends are alive.
"Oh please." Zoe said. "Please let them be alright."
*Author's Note: Get ready for the next chapter! It will be very intense! Hey, this is rated T for reasons. And yeah, I had to add Gustave in the climax too. Don't get me wrong, I like Olivia and all, but we already have a damsel in the mix and it's Robyn.*
