A couple of years have passed and now, Rose was expecting her baby. Garnet and Amethyst were overjoyed, Greg was proud, but Pearl was devestated. The pregnancy was annouced after Rose felt her belly was getting bigger and bigger. Greg has told her time and time again to tell the other gems, but she refused. Mostly because of Pearl's reaction. That day, Pearl went to her champers and fiercly fought with some holographic versions of herself. It was an awful time. Pearl broke down in tears and used the warp pad to escape to the place where it all began. She was sitting on the large floating rose covered platform and sat down covering her face.

"Pearl." said a voice. Pearl turned around and saw Garnet. She too looked devestated as she was and sat next to her.

"You probably heard have you?" said Pearl.

"Yes. I saw it in a vision. Rose will perish as soon as she gives birth." said Garnet.

"Why? Why after so many a millenia did she choose this?" asked Pearl.

"I cannot say. I can't really see too far into the future. But I do see a ton of possibilites. Unfortunately, she alone had to choose." said Garnet.

"I can't do this Garnet. I feel... helpless. I love Rose, and I don't want to see her die! I have already talked with her about it... but she always tells me that this was her choice. Hers! I can't accept it! I just can't!" cried Pearl as she broke down. Garnet placed her hand on her shoulder and they both looked out into the horizon. In a little while, Amethyst went over to join them and sat down next to them.

Meanwhile, back on the beach, Rose left a special video message for her son, should he ever watch it someday with Greg's help.

"I"m sure he'll love it honey." said Greg sadly.

"Greg... I love you until the end of time. Don't you ever forget it." said Rose as she kissed Greg softly on his forhead. Greg began to cry and Rose hugged him tightly.

This was it. This was Rose's final decision. Many have wondered why she chose this path, but what's done was done.

TWELVE YEARS LATER..."Quick, put them in the fridge!" cried Amethyst.

"I'm hurrying as fast as I can! Is he coming?!" cried Pearl.

"He's on his way!" said Garnet casually.

"Oh gosh! Quick everyone!" cried Pearl.

Just then, the door opened. "Steven! Your home!" cried Pearl.

"That's not Steven!" cried Amethyst. In the front door was a corruped snake looking gem with sharp teeth and grotesque green and black patterns!

"Oh my goodness!" cried Pearl.

"Destroy them! Quick!" cried Garnet.

The Crystal Gems then smashed and kicked and poofed the gems while Steven himself came in.

"Guys, you won't believe... ahh!" cried Steven as one of the things came to him. Amethyst quickly dissolved it with her whip.

"Guys, I don't think they have gems." cried Amethyst.

"That means there must be a mother somewhere nearby." said Garnet.

"We should probably find it before anyone get's hurt." said Pearl.

"Can I help?! Can I?!" cried Steven.

Eventually, once the creatures vanished, Steven finally found the present from his "aunts". The freezer was full of his favorite cookie ice creams, Cookie Cat.

"No way! It can't be! I thought they stopped making them!" cried Steven.

"We heard that too." said Pearl.

"So we went out and stole a bunch!" cried Amethyst.

"I went back and paid for them." said Pearl rolling her eyes.

"The whole thing was my idea." said Garnet.

"It was everyone's idea." said Amethyst.

"What matters is that Steven is happy." said Pearl.

Then, Steven began to sing the theme song to his cookie cat. Everyone chuckled. Those were happy times. But this was the beginning of an epic tale.
