Chapter 37: Momo's retaliation

Momo's P.O.V

I was sitting on a chair thinking about the fact that I was separated from the boy I loved. My father was speaking with one of the guards about their plans. "And we will leave tomorrow with Momo on board," Father said, "She will move to a new school, and once she graduates, she will marry Han." Just the thought of being away from my true family was enough to make me cry. A single tear came from me.

The guard looked. "Maybe you should let me keep an eye on Ms. Yaoyorozu, and make sure she doesn't leave the room," he said. "Well, it looks like your leader trusts you, so I will too," Father said. He then looked to me and glared. "It is about time that you gave up that RIDICULOUS dream once and for all!" He shouted, "No daughter of mine is going to have a career as a pro hero! You will use your quirk to help with the family company and that is final!" The guard calmed him down. "I leave the rest to you." He started to leave.

I covered my face with my hands, wanting this nightmare to come to an end. "Torodoki….." I said. The guard looked to me. "You love him don't you?" He asked me. I looked at the guard. "What does it matter to you?" I asked.

"Because I can help you get back to him," the guard answered, "Where I come from, its wrong to interfere with young love." He handed me a handkerchief and I dried my tears away. "Who are you?" I asked. "Let's just say I'm someone who cares very deeply for their friends," the guard said. His appearance started to change. It was Starla. "Starla!" I said giving her a hug.

She hugged back and smiled. She told me she had also managed to help Han escape is cell. "Now we just need to get the others out of their cages and stop Aura Phantom from what he's planning," she told me. I nodded, determined to stop my father from what he was planning. This island is their home and he had no right to take it from them.

We went around looking for areas that would lead us to our friends that were trapped. I knew we hat to be careful because there were probably guards around every corner. It gave me an idea however. I created a small pebble and threw it at a wall. This got one of the guards attention. As soon as two of them arrived, Han and I beat them up and stole their costumes.

This allowed us to walk through with ease. "Hang on guys," I said, "We'll find you."

Todoroki's P.O.V

I was still staring at the wall thinking about Momo. I could tell she was not happy to be separated from me, and neither was I. Deep down, I loved her. Meanwhile Melissa was heartbroken by what her father had done. He betrayed his own flesh and blood for science. For a quirk enhancer. I heard footsteps and looked to the cage. Three guards were looking at us. "Just follow our lead and we can get you outta here," said one of them. They opened the cage. "Hurry, we don't have much time," the guard said as they reached out their hand to mine.

I was suspicious. "Who are you?" I asked. The guard took off their helmet. It was Momo who was in disguise. "Somebody who loves you," she said. We shared a kiss for a few seconds, but Iida pulled us apart. "Escape and stop the bad guy now, kiss later," he said. We all started to get out of the room. As soon as we took a few steps out we heard laughter. "That doesn't sound good," Mineta said. An alarm went off, and soon we were surrounded by guards. Momo's "Father" arrived as well as Han's father.

"And just where do you think you're going with my daughter?" Mr. Yaoyorozu asked. I stood in front of her. "You're not getting near her after that performance," I said infuriated with what he was planning. I didn't care if they were related by blood. He wasn't going to even touch her. "Dad, don't do this," Han said, "This island doesn't belong to someone like him." Mr. Yaoyorozu looked at him. "Silence," he said, "Your words will fall on deaf ears, so its no use trying to persuade him." He ordered one of the guards to pull Han away from Melissa. "Momo, come," he said pointing at Momo. I wouldn't budge an inch. "Move it buster!" Said one of his guards. He hit me in the gut with his rifle and I fell to the ground.

The guard then grabbed Momo roughly by the hand and brought her over. "ITs time you made a decision Momo," her father said to him, "What matters more to you? Your friends, or my demands?" Midoriya and Bakugo helped me back to my feet.

"Now Momo, do you agree to marry him?" He asked giving her a ring, "And do you also agree to be part of this plan I have for I-Island?"

Uraraka and Midoriya and the others were watching the events unfold. Momo thought back to what I said to her. "Listen to your heart." She turned her back. "No," she said. Mr. Yaoyorozu had a vein in his head."What did you say?" he asked. "I said no," Momo snapped, "This business deal has caused me nothing but trouble!" She pushed the ring away.

"I refuse to be a pawn of your scheme any longer." She said. I smiled at her. Mr. Yaoyorozu stood up. "I thought I made it clear that you will do as I say," he said. "Well what's the point of playing along if it tears me away from what I love, let alone taking something away from the people that love it?!" Momo said looking at me as I was smiling, "I would rather live my life freely than be forced to be happy." Mr. Yaoyorozu was furious. He smacked her in the face and she fell. "Don't you DARE say that again!" He shouted, "Your job isn't to decide what's right and what's wrong in this family. Your job is to do what you're told, when you're told, how you're told." I went to help her up.

"This deal is going to bring our family company back to the top, and I will not tolerate anyone destroying it; Let alone my own blood." Mr. Yaoyorozu continued. Momo wiped the blood off her face."Now you are going to go through with what I have in store, and if you ever attempt to deny me again, not only will I disown you," Mr. Yaoyorozu said, "I will also call the government and have them shut down UA High was shocked.

"That's right, those are the things I would do to keep my company alive, and I won't let anybody stop me from doing so," he said, "Because nothing matters besides the company." Momo's fear was suddenly replaced with charged at her father and punched him in the face. Hard! "How dare you…." "Shut the fuck up!" Momo said, "You attempt to hurt my friends and family at that school, and I'll FUCKING kill you!"

Mr. Lee walked up and faced Mr. Yaoyorozu. "Important business man or not, you have no right to force your daughter into doing things that make them unhappy," he said shocking him. He ripped the contract in half and surprised all of us. "I'm through with this," he said, "Our companies will no longer be working together." "What are you saying?!"

"When I signed with you, I thought I was making a good choice," Mr. Lee said, "But after seeing how poorly you treat your daughter, I realize I've made a mistake." He walked away. "I'm sorry I put you through this Todoroki," he said to me, "You are a good man for her." He walked away.

Meanwhile Mr. Yaoyorozu was furious. "I had one chance to bring this company back up and its ruined!" He snapped while glaring at Momo, "And its all your fault….. ALL YOUR FAULT!"

He was about to hit her again but I stopped his hand. "Hit her again, and I will burn you to a crisp!" I shouted. He pushed him back and we all walked away. Momo looked back. "Even now you're just a bitter loner who put his own opinion before anyone else," she said, "No wonder Mom left you years ago." She walked away and came to us.

We were outside in another room. "Well that settles one problem," Momo said, "Now we need to deal with Aura Phantom." I looked to Midoriya who was thinking of something. "We can't just sit here and do nothing knowing that All Might is in danger," he said, "We need to go and help them." "You mean go and fight off the villain?!" Mineta asked, "I know you're happy that you have a pro hero license but DIDN'T YOU LEARN ANYTHING FROM USJ?!" "This is different now!" Midoriya said, "Because we have experience. Besides who said we had to fight them?" Iida looked to him. "What do you mean?" He asked. "Maybe….. just maybe there's a way we can go in and save everyone without having to fight him," Midoriya explained to us. Kaminari looked to him. "Easier said than done dude," he said.

"Well I still wanna try," Midoriya retorted, "While keeping our distance we can try and find a game plan that can get the pro heroes back in action." Melissa had an idea. "Maybe there is a way," she said, "Maybe we can get to the security system is, and shut down the defense protocols." She turned to Starla. "To keep us from getting discovered, you can use your quirk to cloak us," she explained, "And once we get there, we can restart the system!" Starla nodded. I smiled. "So we avoid the fight if we can, then get the place back to normal," I said, "I think that would work." Momo nodded.

"I'm in," Jirou said grinning. "Once we get the system back to normal, the pro heroes will be released and they can take on the guards," Midoriya said, "Then I can take back those rings from Aura Phantom and stop him from getting that device!" I patted his shoulder. "I'll go with you as well," I told him. "Same here," Uraraka said. "Leave some for me," Bakugo stated. Mineta was still worried. "HAVE YOU ALL LOST YOUR GODDAMN MINDS?! ALRIGHT I'LL GO!" "Thanks Mineta," Midoriya said, "The ladies will think you're popular if you help save this island!" He smiled and looked to the rest of us. "Then it's settled," Midoriya said as his hands were glowing with aura, "We have a game plan, and now we're gonna put it in motion!" "YEAH!" We all said in unison as we put our hands in the air.
