Chapter 33 My Inner Darkness Part 1

Ven's POV

"Everybody get out!"

After Riku yelled this, everybody started running away as crystal spikes continued to come from the ground.

"Come on Sora", Riku said before slinging said person's arm around his shoulder.

"Kairi", Aqua said as she shook said person. "Come on Kairi! We need to get out of here!"

Kairi didn't respond to this. She just continued to stare at the crystal spikes.

Then...something happened.

The ground bellow Kairi and Aqua began to glow!

"Look out Kairi", the latter said before pushing the former out of the way.

Then...Aqua was encased in crystal!

"Aqua", Kairi yelled before running up to the crystal. "Oh no."

"Aqua", Terra yelled before running up to the Crystal. "Can you hear me Aqua?"

Aqua didn't respond.

Now...I was angry.

I glared at the Master of Masters.

Then...I summoned my Keyblade...and started running to him!

"Ven", I heard Terra yell.

But I didn't listen. Instead, I scaled the palace wall and met the Master of Masters on the balcony.

"Why hello there Ventus", he greeted.

"You", I said angrily before pointing to Aqua who was in crystal. "Release Aqua right now!"

"Why should I help a killer", the Master of Masters asked.

Hearing this took me by surprise.

"You knew", I asked in shock.

"Yes", the Master of Masters replied.

And that's when I realized something.

"That's why you captured me", I said in realization.

"Bingo", the Master of Masters confirmed. "I needed to test if Darkness was still inside you, which it is. And since these Heartless appear to be useless, I'm going to have to use that Darkness."

With that...the Master of Masters clenched his hands together.

By doing so, my body began to feel tight, as if something was holding me in a tight grip.

I yelled out in pain, then...I blacked out.

I opened my eyes, and found myself by on my Station of Awakening.

"Huh", I said in confusion. "Why am I here?"

After I said this...a dark void appeared on my Station of Awakening.

Then...a shadowy figure rose up from it.

"Hello Ventus", it greeted.

"Who are you", I asked.

"You may refer to me...as Darkness.

Upon hearing this, I looked at the figure (who I now knew was Darkness) in shock.

"You", I asked in shock. "You're Darkness."

"That is correct", Darkness replied.

Hearing this made me angry.

"Why", I asked angrily. "Why did you do it?"

"Kill Strelitzia", Darkness asked. "It was merely for the sake of survival."

"What do you mean", I asked in confusion.

"I knew that the world as we knew it was coming to an end", Darkness revealed. "I also knew that the five new Union Leaders would find a way to escape this."

"I still don't get how Strelitzia is involved in all of this", I pointed out.

"She was one of the chosen five", Darkness revealed. "So, I took over your body, killed her, and took her place."
