Izuku Midoriya and Eijiro Kirishima walked next to each other, every so often looking back at Kokichi, who was trailing behind them. A few times when looking over his shoulder, Izuku's eyes and Kyoko's eyes met, but both people dismissed them as mere passing glances, like ones you'd give to someone who sat across from you on public transport. Simply acknowledging their presence, being polite. This time, though it was something a bit more. Instead of just noticing the other person, both simultaneously noticed the mutual trust they shared, even though it was from nothing more than a brief introduction and the agreement to keep an eye on Kokichi. The way that they knew neither was going to betray the other, or the rest of the group. Instead of looking over his shoulder to see Kokichi, Izuku tried purposely to meet Kyoko's eyes first. He smiled at her, and she stared at him for moments that seemed like eternity. To him, at least. Kyoko smiled back, though it was nothing more than a slight shift of her lips. Even though I've known her for only, how long was it? An hour? Longer? I've never seen her show any real emotion at all. Until now, I guess. Maybe I could actually be friends with some of the people here if- no, when we get out.

After the group walked in silence for about a minute or two, Kokichi frowned and stood in place, stopping Kyoko, Makoto, and Chihiro in their tracks, "You guys all suck. When're you gonna talk about something! This is boring!

Kyoko stared at him, "This isn't the time for this, nobody here is in the position to complain about something like that. You-

Kokichi cut her off, "I don't have to listen to you, but I will. For the time being, at least." Kokichi shrugged.

Before anyone else could say anything, a buzzing noise filled the space around the group. It got louder and louder, and Izuku eventually noticed that the sound was coming from him. Or really, the playing-card sized device that displayed a video of how the Spectacle was supposed to work.

"My interview! How far away are we from the stage?" Izuku held the device up, using the little light it provided to try and get his bearings.

"No idea. But it feels like we've been walking in circles forever," Makoto said, "But we'll be bound to find the stage at some time, it's not like this place is endless."

"And besides, if you're late, we can piss that Vialy guy off. Serves him right for making us do this," Carlton playfully nudged Izuku in the shoulder.
