A/N: This is a surprise Chapter I meant to get out yesterday.

Chapter 2-M.I.T

Peter could not believe that this was happening. MIT had been his dream school since he was kid. Maybe it was because he found out Tony had gone there that he had set his heart there but Tony didn't need to know that. What he did know though, was that Peter wanted to run the company, and in order to do that you need a good education, strong engineering skills, and a brain. Tony said he didn't need to because he already had all of it, but Peter wanted t.

"What do you think Underoos?" Tony asked as they stood at the front of the school. They watched the kids pour out of the school when class changes took place and the peacefulness of the campus when school was out.

"I think I'm going to like it here" Peter said confidently, he had never been more sure of anything in his entire life. Except the fact that Tony was his dad through love. That was cheesy.

"I'm glad" Tony said giving Peter a side hug. That had been the end of their tour for the day. They would be back for the school year so no worry there.

They left side by side kids gawking, but for the first time, Peter really didn't care. He was changing, but so was the world around him.

"When is the due date" Peter asked excitedly as soon as his parents got home from their appointment.

"Well, they said my dude date is March 23 of next year." Pepper said cheerfully.

"wow that's really far away" Peter said disappointed.

"That's what I said" Tony said with a pout. That night they celebrated with some hamburgers and fries. The Avengers then came down and they had some ice cream and of course a movie night, because what would be a celebration without an Avengers movie night. So they sat in their seats and watched star wars. Again.

"Are you excited" Ned asked, when he was over for the summer one time.

"yeah, Ned I'm very excited" Peter said genuinely.

"most people aren't" Ned said suspiciously. Peter was actually confused.

"Why" he asked shock evident in his voice. Ned looked at Peter astounded.

"You really don't know?" He said in disbelief

"I really don't know"

"really?"

"really"

"Really?"

"Really"

"really?"

"really, can you tell me now" Peter said impatiently. Why was Ned so surprised that he was happy for his parents.

"because don't babies take up a lot of time" Ned said looking down at his hands. Peter contemplated this for a moment. He couldn't help but imagine all of the issues that could happen. No more lab time, Tony would need to help with the baby. No more movie nights, early bedtimes would be required now that a baby would be waking them up most of the time. No more dad and son time.

"I- I should go" Peter said, eyes burning with unshed tears. He grabbed his bag and pulled on his suit. With one last nod towards Ned he headed out the window. He sat on one of the roofs.

Would Tony really not have time for him? Would be become inadequate? What if something happened to the baby while he was babysitting? Would Tony blame him? Would Tony still love him? Peter paused. He would right? They weren't related though. Tony wanted to start a new family with Pepper Stark. They would be Starks and Peter would be a Parker. He wasn't related to any of them. He was still an orphan, he was still just Peter and they were still them. Suddenly he wasn't feeling so sure about this.

He stayed up late that night. He found it hard to sleep. To be honest though, he hadn't had a very good sleep in a long time. He didn't tell anyone but he was having nightmares. Staring at the empty Iron man helmet. Cracked, with dried blood. He shook the memory out. He couldn't have them. He decided then and there that he couldn't burden Tony with this he had a baby on the way.

So when his spider sense went off and he tensed up, he didn't say anything to anyone. For months it kept getting more and more sharper. His Fight and Flight was going crazy and eventually he just got used to it.

But then MIT came along and Peter was completely on edge, and he couldn't go anywhere without looking over his shoulder. He was tense almost all of the time. He knew Tony was getting worried and probably was getting even more nervous especially with MIT coming up. Still Peter thought it probably wasn't a big deal also because nothing had happened. Not a single thing. No one was watching him, he would know.

"Peter, I've been worried about you" Tony said walking into Peter's room. He had a worried look-like he usually did these days. He didn't seem to relax much.

"I'm fine dad. Don't worry about me." Peter assured. Like he had multiple times before.

They had the same discussions every night. Deniability was Peter's immediate go to and he knew Tony really needed him to open up. With Pepper though, Peter could tell he was already moving down a bit in the list of priorities. Hence, Tony stopped being so…how to say- insistent. He kind of just walked out with another glance over his shoulder. Peter couldn't tell if this was because he was starting to become good at acting or not, but he didn't think too hard about it.

However, the day of the MIT leave was the next day and he still felt on edge. He had his boxes moved to the car, he was just saying bye to everyone. It was a bittersweet moment. He didn't want to leave his family he had literally just started living with them. Peppers belly bump was getting pretty big and the press was having a field day. They didn't go out as much because of it. Peter didn't mind he was never one for the spotlight anyway.

"Bye Nat" Peter said. Natasha looked at him with adoring eyes and gave him a hug. He knew it meant a lot when Nat showed her emotions.

"Good bye Man of Spiders" Thor said also hugging Peter.

"Bye Bug buddy" Scott spoke sadly giving his friend a hug.

"Bye Pete" Hope said softly.

"Have fun in college" Bruce said trying to sound cheerful.

"I don't like you" Sam said, everyone gave him a look, "but I'll miss you"

"Good bye Peter" Steve said. Peter nodded.

"Bye child" Vision spoke

"Bye Peter" Wanda said a few tears streaming down her face. Peter gave her a big hug. He was pretty sure he was going to miss her most. Next to Tony, Peter, Nat, Happy, and Rhodey of course. They had developed quite a bond.

Tony was driving him there. It was some nice bonding time before the baby came. Plus maybe Peter would tell him about his spider sense which only seemed to be getting more intense as they drove to MIT.

"So how's MJ" Tony said watching his sons face turn beet red.

"She's um she's good." Peter stumbled. "Going to Harvard law school"

"Wow! Smarty pants" Tony said impressed.

"yeah, she's awesome" Peter blushed. Tony laughed. It was nice talking like old times.

"Are you going to miss the lab" Tony asked.

"That's a weird question" Peter replied confused. Tony just nodded a glint in his eyes.

It wasn't very far away it took 3 hours and 30 minutes give or take. F.R.I.D.A.Y was giving the directions. She was pretty helpful in the car. The ride there was smooth they talked some more. Laughing a jokes, quips, sarcastic comments, the things Starks laugh at.

It had happened about a week, A month after Ned's revelation. Peter had gone up to Tony with a form. Tony had been confused. Peter wore a big smile as he handed his dad the form. When his dad read it he had started crying. Peter did too. It was a form to change Peter's last name. It was really memorable because Peter was officially becoming part of the Stark family. Even though he already was, it just meant more.

"We're here buddy" Tony said bringing Peter back to reality. Peter smiled taking in the school once again. He still couldn't believe he even got accepted. "you still look as awed as you did the first two times"

"I know but this is for real" Peter said matter of factly. It was true, the tour had been put into two days worth of looking around. This was different because now he would actually be staying here. Living here.

They walked into the dorm together. It was nice to say the least. Of course Peter had gotten a small house that was labeled as 'off campus' but it was just a few blocks away. It was the same one his dad had stayed in. He took one roommate and he was so excited to meet them. To make a friend because Ned was going somewhere else and the gang had split up. Of course they would stay in touch but they weren't together anymore. They'd have to find new people.

"I'd like to show you something" Tony said guiding Peter to a wall. It looked like a completely normal wall until he said, "Boogie woogie"

Peter gave him a look. "I was 18" Tony defended. "Just walk in"

Peter did. It was amazing! It was a miniature lab. Well, miniature compared to the lab at the tower. This one had the same amount of computers, Desks, even storage areas. It had all the chemicals to make webbing even though he wouldn't be spidermanning.

"wow this is amazing" Peter said in awe for the third time that day.

"There's one more thing" Tony said. "Karen?"

"Hello Anthony Edward Stark" Karen replied. Peter gasped.

"Karen?"

"That is me. Your personal assistant. I can be located from everywhere around the house"

"but, my roommate. What if he doesn't want an AI" Peter said kind of disappointed.

"Oh he will" Tony said enthusiastically. "Lees" He called in the same fashion that he had called Peter underoos many moons ago.

Out came Ned. Peter was shocked. They just stood there staring at each other before running to give each other a hug.

"What are you doing here" Peter asked.

"I go here" Ned said.

"did you transfer"

"For a so called genius you are not able to figure this out? I never told you where I was going. I don't know if you noticed that. Anyway I was going to surprise you"

"you did" Peter said happily. Maybe the gang wouldn't be apart after all.

"I'm so bored" William complained.

"Suck it up" Kyle said. He was tired of hearing his friends whiney voice all the time.

"Boys" Dave scolded his sons. They were supposed to be a part of the next leaders of HYDRA. Things weren't looking so good. "We are waiting for a few more months to strike. We need to give them space make sure Spiderman isn't on edge. We can't watch him. It will make him paranoid and then we'll never catch him"

"Then why did we follow them" Kyle asked fidgeting with his HYDRA lanyard.

"It was a test. The bond between Stark and the kid are weakening. We needed to make sure Peter would keep him mouth shut." Dave explained.

"Oh" William said. "Can we at least do something? A mission?"

"This is your mission" Dave snapped slamming his hand on the table. William jumped. His son was so frustrating. Too much like his mom.

"Hello" A menacing voice spoke.

"Redskull" Dave greeted giving the man a bow.

"How is it coming along" Redskull asked the trio

"Fine master" William said.

"Good." Redskull replied. "Get the witch" He walked out without another word.

"You" Dave said pointing at his oldest.

"Yes father" William replied standing at attention.

"Your mission if you chose to accept it is to get…the Scarlett witch"

"I accept"

Smiling Dave led his son to another room to work out the plans. Kyle sat there tears brimming. He wanted a mission. He wanted the love his dad seemed to give William. He sucked in a deep breath and continued looking over Spiders watch. Kyle would be putting it on the night before while William did the fun kidnapping part. How unfair.

"Son" Dave said. Kyle stood immediately excited. Maybe this time.

"Go fetch us some dinner" Dave said. William sent him a smirk. Kyle rolled his eyes and headed out.

"I'm just getting some pizza vis" Wanda said grabbing her car keys. "back in a few"

She drove to get some pizza. She saw some dude that looked slightly familiar but she couldn't put her finger on it. She ignored it and ordered the pizza. As the left she noticed the man following her. She turned into an alley so that she could get up against a wall.

"Hello?" She called her back pressed against the wall. Eyes in front until he felt someone jump down on her and a jab in the neck. "What the?"

She didn't get a chance to get the heck out of there before darkness engulfed her.

A/N: Oh no! Poor Wanda!
