Meanwhile at Beacon
Team JNPR was making their way over to an airship to start their week long mission, while they do so Jaune is telling his teammates about a one second call he received from Ruby the night beforehand.
"It doesn't make sense guys, I get a call from her and then one second later she hangs up." said Jaune.
"I'm sure they're fine." said Pyrrha, trying to reassure her team leader.
"Probably a butt dial..." said Nora nonchalantly, as she made her way over to the airship.
"Team RRWBY has always performed exceptionally in the field. We should be focusing on our own mission." said Ren.
"We're gonna be deputies!" Exclaimed Nora in excitement.
"I just this feeling... I don't know." said Jaune.
"Jaune..." Pyrrha started, only to be interrupted by alarms going off. The team looks over and sees smoke coming from Vale.
"We're changing our mission." Said Jaune as he pushed his teammates to the airship and added "Everybody on board!"
Team JNPR goes towards the bullhead, Nora and Pyrrha enter. But Ren gets stopped by Jaune who says "Ren, we'll make it that village another time."
Ren nods and enters the airship, Jaune follows his teammate and yells to the pilot "Take us into the city!"
The door to the airship closes, and then it takes off. Leaving Mercury, Cinder and Emerald on their own in the courtyard.
The three watch the smoke rising up from Vale, prompting Emerald to say "You don't think..."
"Sure looks like it." said Mercury.
"But that's still days away!" Exclaimed Emerald.
"So? What do we do?" asked Mercury looking at Cinder for answers.
Cinder looks at the city, sighs and replies "We clean up their mess."
In Vale
Team RRWBY looks on as the Grimm and the robots are beginning to attack the civilians, but they are then interrupted when Doctor Oobleck and Snake approach them. To which Doctor Oobleck "Students! Are any of you injured!"
Ruby looks at her team, not seeing any injuries she replies "We're all relatively unharmed."
"Good." said Doctor Oobleck.
"Uhm, sir. What do we do? You're the one who is supposed to give us orders and watch over us." said Weiss.
Doctor Oobleck looked around and replied with "As your current legal guardian and the only teacher in the area, I hereby allow you five to engage the enemy and to use your semblances if needed."
"Thank you Doctor." said Ruby "What will you do?'
"Snake and I are going to help you." said Doctor Oobleck as he turned his thermos into it's weapon form. While Snake pulled out an automatic rifle and loaded it up with rounds of dust.
Ruby then looked at her team and said "Alright everyone, stay safe. Now lets defend Vale from these monsters." To which the rest of her team nodded in agreement and dashed after the Grimm and robots that were attacking the city.
Ruby then uses her semblance to dash ahead, and together with her scythe in it's sniper form begins to fire at the Grimm and Sniper Joe's that were aiming their attention towards her. She fires several shots and manages to take out several Beowolves. When she sees that the sniper joe's are blocking her attacks, she turns Crescent Rose back into it's scythe form and then uses her semblance to dash behind them and then slices the sniper joe's to pieces before they could do anything.
Weiss in the meantime uses her rapier along with ice dust to drive ice pillars through the creeps, that were charging at her, and managed to take them out due to a lack of armor on their underbelly's. She then sees several robotic birds carrying eggs towards the battlefield. She sees Rock and exclaims "Rock! What are those things!"
Rock, having just finished off several Beowolves with a charge shot, turns around, sees the birds and replies with "Those are Pipi's, don't them drop their eggs on the ground!" After which he fired several charge shots into the air and takes out a few of the robot birds.
Weiss wondered what Rock had meant with that, only to receive her answer when she was attacked by several smaller birds that spawned from eggs that were dropped on the floor. The tiny birds were attacking her and Rock, and with each impact she felt that her aura was being drained more and more. She had to think of a plan and fast, but then it hit her. As she and Rock were being pushed towards a wall by the birds, and Rock was stunned from the attacks she got an idea.
She grabbed her rapier, opened all of the cartridges, then plunged the rapier into the ground and yelled "Myrtenaster rush!" After which several shock waves of ice, fire, electricity and dirt were spread across the battlefield. Taking out the Pipi's as well as it's spawns, alongside some beowolves and a few small nevermore's.
Weiss took a bit to recover her breath and regain some of her energy, but then she felt a hand on her shoulder. She looked over and saw Rock standing next to her, instead of the usual scowling look on his face he looked less angry. "Rock... what?" asked Weiss in confusion.
"Regain some of your energy, I've got your back." said Rock, as he began to shoot his charged shots at the beowolves and creeps that were charging at them and was able to take some of them out.
Blake in the meantime used her semblance to dodge the swipes from several beowolves. She then grabbed a vial of fire dust, and used her semblance to create a clone of herself. The beowolves then swiped at that clone, and were caught in an explosion that was created as a result of the clone being infused with the fire dust. Which destroyed the beowolves in the process.
She then dodged several lightning bolts that were shot at her from the sky, and then used her enhanced cat vision to see who or what was firing those bolts of lightning at her. She saw that several small robots were flying through the sky on small clouds, and then used the rope of Gambol Shroud to attach herself to one of the clouds.
Once she was in the air she used the hidden blade on her weapon to take out the robot piloting it. She then took over the control of the flying cloud and went towards the other robots and swung the blade with her rope at the robots to take them out. After a while the sky was cleared from the flying robots and Blake decided to go after the small nevermore's that were harassing civilians.
Back at the site of the crash Doctor Oobleck and Snake were shooting at the beowolves that were charging at them. Oobleck used his thermos to shoot several fire balls at the Grimm and was able to take out a good majority of them. The remaining ones were frozen in place by rounds of ice dust being shot at them by Snake's automatic rifle. After which he shattered them to pieces.
A large shadow then overtook the two men, the two turned around and before they were able to fight back against the figure they were launched backwards by the creature that created the shadow. After which the creature slid off towards the others who were fighting against the Grimm and the robots.
Yang in the meantime had just defeated a beowolve by punching it repeatedly until she managed to pierce through it's armor and managed to take it out. But then she saw that Doctor Oobleck, Snake, Ruby, Weiss, Rock and Blake had been launched into her direction and fell onto the ground. She was about to ask what had happened, only to see that a King Taijitu was slithering towards her.
She propelled herself forward using her shotgun gauntlets and was about to strike the massive Grimm, only for it's tail to knock her backwards after which it started to leave the scene. She crashed into a wall, and fell to the ground. She then felt the force of both hits powering her up. She smirked, and was about to launch herself at the Grimm again, only for her to be held back by a hand grabbing onto her shoulder.
She turned around and saw Ruby looking at her with a pleading look in her eyes. Knowing what this look meant Yang tried to free herself, only for Ruby to keep holding onto her. Yang then said "Ruby, please let go. I have to take this thing out. I'm the only one who is strong enough to do so."
"And what if you miss Yang, with if you miss the one shot you have and that Taijitu manages to kill you. What do you think I'm going to have to tell dad. Or how do you think I would feel?" asked Ruby, as tears were forming in her eyes.
"Ruby relax, it's me. Big old invincible, big sister Yang. I can take him." said Yang.
"No you can't!" Yelled Ruby "No one is invincible Yang, not you, not me, not our teammates, not even our teachers. Look around you! Doctor Oobleck, a licensed huntsman and our teacher was knocked out by that thing. I'm not losing you! So get it in that stubborn head of yours that I'm not letting you leave!"
"But... But why?" Was all that Yang replied with.
"Because I don't want to lose you, I don't want to lose anyone. Not you, not our teammates." Said Ruby as tears were now fully flowing down her face. Yang pulled her sister into a hug and let her continue with what she was going to say "I already lost mom, I can't lose you as well. And I know this is a dangerous profession. It's what we signed up for, but I'm not going to let you be your usual reckless self and let you jump towards your own death!"
Yang was silent from the outburst of her younger sister, and was unable to say anything out of shock. She then felt a hand on her shoulder and saw Doctor Oobleck standing next to her.
"Miss Xiao Long, please listen to your sister. I... No, none of us can afford losing one of our in a time of crisis, so please be logical about this." said Doctor Oobleck.
"But we have to take out that thing." said Yang.
"I know, but I forbid you from engaging that thing on your own." said Doctor Oobleck.
"Then what do you suggest we do?" asked Yang.
"Right now, we regain some energy, and when that thing comes back we face it as a unit." said Doctor Oobleck.
Rock then regained consciousness and looked around the area he crashed into. He then saw that the King Taijitu was coming back towards them and yelled "Guys! That thing is coming back here!"
The rest turned around and came face to face with the the giant Grimm and it's gaping wide mouth. "What do we do?" asked Ruby.
"I don't know, students if we don't make it out of here alive. I want to say just how proud I was able to work with all of you." said Doctor Oobleck.
The King Taijitu was about to lunge at the group, only be stunned by pink grenades that were launched at it. Afterwards Nora came flying in and used her hammer to smack the giant snake Grimm onto it's head which stunned it for a bit. She then landed onto the ground, after which Ren jumped in and used StormFlower to keep the Grimm occupied with it's bullets.
Nora turned to the group and yelled "Someone call for backup!"
"Nora!" Yelled ruby in excitement.
"Nora Valkyrie reporting for duty, oh fearless leader of our sister team." said Nora, as she gave Ruby a salute.
"Miss valkyrie! Aren't you supposed to be on your mission, also where is the rest of your team?" asked Doctor Oobleck.
"Oh you know, they're around here somewhere." said Nora nonchalantly.
On the top of nearby roof Jaune was sitting on his shield with his sword pointed downwards, with Pyrrha holding the whole thing in place with her semblance.
"Jaune, are you sure this is safe?" asked Pyrrha.
"Don't worry Pyrrha, this is a hundred percent safe." Replied Jaune, only to nearly fall of his shield. But was barely able to keep his balance to stay on his shield.
Not convinced by her partner Pyrrha replied "Then the tell me the plan again."
"You use your semblance to launch me, while I'm on my shield and holding onto my sword at the Grimm and then I decapitate it. It's as simple as that." said Jaune.
"I don't know Jaune." said Pyrrha.
"It will fine, trust me. That's all I ask of you." said Jaune, he then noticed the hesitation in the eyes of Pyrrha and added "Look I know I lied about my transcripts, but other than have I ever truly led our team astray this school year? The plans I have come up with always worked in the end."
Pyrrha closed her eyes for a bit, thought it over, opened her eyes and replied with "If you feel this the only way, then I trust you."
"Thanks Pyr, on three I want you to use your semblance to launch me towards the head of the King Taijitu so I can take it out." said Jaune.
Pyrrha nodded and replied with "Ok, on three. One, two, three!"
On the third count Pyrrha launched Jaune and his shield down at the street and towards the head of King Taijitu. Jaune holding onto his shield managed to pierce through the head of the giant King Taijitu. After he came out through the other end his shield got stuck into the building behind the place he exited out of the King Taijitu.
He looked at the Grimm and saw that it was beginning to turn to dust. He looked down and saw how high he was, he began to think of ways to get down. But then he heard barking, he looked around and saw Rush fly towards him. The robotic dog motioned for Jaune to get on his back, Jaune understood and then sat onto the dog. He grabbed his shield that was stuck out of the building and Rush then lowered him onto the ground.
When he got back onto the ground he was approached by his teammates, his friends and Doctor Oobleck.
"I must say Mr Arc, it's not how I would take out a Grimm that size. But it's still impressive, so well done." said Doctor Oobleck.
"Thank you doctor Oobleck, that means a lot coming from you." replied Jaune sheepishly.
Ruby then got into Jaune's face and yelled "Jaune! That was amazing! You were all like woosh and that Grimm was all like reeeeeeh!"
"Thanks Ruby, I couldn't have done it without the help of my team." replied Jaune nervously as Ruby was being pulled to the side by her teammates.
"Yeah! You can always count on fearless leader to come up with a plan and have it succeed!" Yelled Nora.
"Speaking of which, where is Pyrrha?" asked Jaune.
"Right here Jaune." said Pyrrha as she used her blade to slide down the building and then joined the others.
"So now what do we do?" asked Blake.
Doctor Oobleck looked around the nearby area and replied with "It's seems to have gone quiet, I think we'll have a moment to calm our senses." After which he grabbed his thermos and asked "Does anyone want some coffee or hot chocolate?"
Before anyone could reply the air turned dark with a small army of nevermore's flying into the area, which were accompanies by the Mecha Dragon flying amongst them.
"What the heck is that thing!" Exclaimed Weiss.
"That is a creation of doctor Wily, it's called the Mecha Dragon. It's only weak point is it's head and it seems to have made friends with the nevermore that are attacking us." said Rock.
"So what do we do?" asked Yang.
"It seems we are gravely outnumbered, we have to come up with a plan and fast." Said Ren.
"Have no fear..." Said Sun
"...Junior detectives are here!" Finished Neptune, as the two then jumped onto the scene with their weapons out.
"Ok, so you two are here. We're still outnumbered." said Rock.
"Ho, ho, ho don't worry students help has arrived." said Professor Port, as the elderly professor arrived on a bullhead with Teams CFVY, Team CRDL, Cinder's team and a bunch of other students and teams from Beacon.
Then several rockets were launched at the nevermore's that were flying into the air, Rock then looked for the source of the rockets and saw that Auto was flying through the sky with a propellor attached to his head and holding onto a rocket launcher.
"Auto, what are you doing here?" asked Rock.
Auto looked down, landed next to Rock and replied "I'm here to help you and your friends Rock!"
"I think enough people are here, what are your orders professors?" asked Snake to the two adults who were present at the moment.
Professor Port looked at Doctor Oobleck and gave him a look that told him that now wasn't the time to bring up his certificates. Doctor Oobleck nodded, turned to everyone present and then he said "Students, I give you permission to fight against these creatures until the proper authorities arrive."
"Alright students, move out!" Exclaimed Professor Port.
The students who had arrived in Vale earlier nodded and then dashed the army of nevermore's that were floating around them, while Auto reactivated the mini propellor on his head and went into the sky with his rocket launchers.
Yang propelled herself into the air using her gauntlets and got onto one of the nevermore's and began to punch it in the neck until she managed to punch through it and caused it disintegrate. She then launched herself to another Nevermore, and while doing so she saw that Weiss used her rapier to impale several nevermore's with giant icicles.
With Team CFVY Coco was using her mini gun to shoot down several nevermore's, while Yatsuhashi launched Velvet into the air who then kicked one of the nevermore's out of the air and into the ground. Allowing for Fox and Yatsuhashi to use their blades to slice the nevermore to pieces.
Team JNPR went after another batch of nevermore's, Nora fired grenades from her grenade launcher. While Ren used Stormflower to shoot at the Grimm birds, this attracted the attention of the Grimm. They went to the ground, but then both Jaune and Pyrrha used their blades to cut off the heads of the Nevermore's.
Back at the hole from which the Grimm were emerging at a rapid pace Doctor Oobleck, Professor Port and Snake were using their weapons to mow down the Beowolves and Creeps that were coming out of the hole. While Sun was using his semblance to create clones to launch Neptune into the air, who then used his electrified trident to shock several nevermore's out of the sky. After which they turned to dust upon their defeat.
In the meantime Cinder and her team went after another Nevermore, Emerald used her guns to attract the attention of one of the nevermore's. Mercury then used his legs to propel himself into the air, and then when he got on top of one of the Nevermore's he used the canon's in his artificial legs to launch it towards the ground. When it fell down Cinder used a glass blade to slice it in two, taking it out.
Blake was having a harder time with the Nevermore's, or so it seemed. She was running away from them, only to use her shadow clones to get out of reach when one of them tried to grab her. After a bit she managed to corner one of them and she first shot a blast from the sheath of Bambol Shroud. Then she turned her blade into it's katana form and used it to slice the head off the nevermore after she managed to stun it.
Ruby and Rock, in the meantime, went after the Mecha Dragon. Rock first got it's attention by shooting several charged shots at it and then dodged out of the way after several fire blasts were shot his way. However while distracting his foe, Ruby got onto the roof of a nearby building and turned Crescent Rose into it's scythe form. She then used her semblance to dash towards the Mecha Dragon at high speeds and then used her scythe to slice it in half.
This caused the dragon to fall to the ground in defeat, after which it exploded into pieces. When that was done, the sound of several heavy machinery was heard. The students looked into the sky and saw that Atlas Military Airships had finally arrived in Vale.
"The Atlas military!" Yelled Ruby in excitement.
The students then regrouped with their teachers, they then saw that the airships dropped a large army of robotic soldiers to the ground which then began to take out the Grimm and robots that were swarming in the area.
"Uh guys." said Coco, catching the attention of her peers. "That hole is still open, and none of us have enough energy left to take out what could potentially come out of that hole." Causing everyone to give her a shocked expression out of realization.
"Don't worry students, that's why I'm here." said a familiar voice, the students turned around to the source of the voice and saw that professor Goodwitch was standing in front of them. "Now if everyone could get out of the way, I can fix the mess you all made."
Everyone at the scene got out of the way, allowing Professor Goodwitch to use her wand alongside her semblance to plug the hole from which several beowolves tried to emerge. Only for them to be trapped underground by the hole being fixed.
The students and adults then sighed as a sign of relief, realizing that the battle was about to be won. The atlas military was dealing with the Grimm and the robots that were still in the area.
"Also, where is Team CRDL?" asked Professor Goodwitch with a hint of annoyance in her voice.
"They... They were with us just a moment ago." said Professor Port, causing everyone to look around in the area in which they were standing in search for that team of trouble makers.
Then while looking around Rock noticed two Atlas airships being shot down by missiles in the shape of magnets and falling to the ground.
"What is that! What just happened?" Exclaimed Ruby in shock at seeing the Airships being shot down.
"Those are magnet missiles." Replied Rock.
"What are you talking about?" asked Weiss.
"Those are magnet missiles, and they just took out two atlas airships." Said Rock.
"So what does that mean, Mr Light?" asked Professor Goodwicth.
"Magnet Man is here, and if he is capable of taking out those airships with those missiles. We'll be in trouble." said Rock.
"Then what do we do?" asked Jaune.
"Well we definitely need to take it out, if it can take out Atlas military airship we can't afford to keep it alive. That is the most logical thing to do." said Doctor Oobleck, but then a giant yellow blob fell from the sky and started reforming itself until it formed into the shape of a humanoid with a single eye.
"Oh no, not the yellow devil." said Rock, remembering back to the times he had to fight it and it's upgraded versions. Dreading the realization that they had to fight it.
"What is that thing!" Exclaimed Yang.
"That is the Yellow Devil, one of the most dangerous creations that Wily ever made. It can take itself apart and pull itself back together. It's eye is it's only weak point also don't get stuck in the goo, as you can't breath in it." Said Rock.
"So we have a rogue robot taking out the Atlas military as we speak and a dangerous blob. Mr light, what do you suggest we do?" asked Professor Goodwitch.
Rock thought for a bit and then replied "We'll need most of us to take out the yellow devil, maybe send one or two people to take out Magnet Man." said Rock.
There was a bit of silence, but then Pyrrha spoke up "I'll do it, we have similar powers. I'll be able to take him out."
"Then I'm going with you." said Jaune.
"Jaune, that's sweet, but I don't want you risking your life for me." said Pyrrha, as she gave her partner a small smile.
"Pyrrha, we're partners, we're supposed to have each others backs." said Jaune.
"I'm going alone, they'll need your help and that's final." said Pyrrha, with determination in her voice.
"Are you sure?" asked Jaune, one last time to make sure that Pyrrha was making the right choice.
"I'm a hundred percent sure." said Pyrrha.
"Then I'll trust you to take care of yourself Miss Nikos." said Professor Goodwicth.
"Thank you professor." said Pyrrha as she was about to run off, only to be stopped by Rock calling out to her.
"Pyrrha, be careful! Don't underestimate him, I don't know how much stronger Wily made Magnet Man since the last time we fought!" Yelled Rock.
"I won't, thanks for the warning." Replied Pyrrha as she ran off to find the robot, while the people that stayed behind got ready to fight the big yellow blob.
Pyrrha then ran into the city and then made her way past several robotic Atlas soldiers that were fighting off the Grimm and robots that hadn't been taken out yet. She kept going and crossed several streets until she reached a place that seemed to be empty, with the only thing in the area being an Atlas airship flying above her.
She got her guard up, and then saw that a magnet missile was fired at the airship above her. She quickly fired her spear at the missile with her semblance to stop it from hitting the ship. After the missile was taken out her weapon returned to her, but then she heard chuckling behind her.
"Well, well, well. It seems I'm not the only one with a mastery over magnetism." Said the voice.
Pyrrha turned around and saw a red robot with a giant magnet on it's forehead standing in front of her. She then replied with "You're Magnet Man?"
"Yes, yes I am and you're not Mega Man." said Magnet Man.
"I'm sorry to disappoint you then." said Pyrrha as she got her spear and shield ready for combat.
"Don't be, I always wanted to fight someone with similar abilities to myself." Replied Magnet Man, as his eyes flash indicating that he had activated his magnetic abilities. "Just try not to disappoint in our fight."
"I'm not someone who disappoints others easily." Replied Pyrrha.
"Then so be it." said Magnet Man, who then fired several of his magnet missiles towards Pyrrha.
Pyrrha dodged the missiles, but saw that they had locked onto her. So she grabbed her spear and sliced at the incoming projectiles, which caused them to explode in mid-air. She then dashed towards Magnet Man, and used her semblance to launch her shield at her opponent which stunned him. Afterwards she managed to get close to him and she kicked him into a nearby tree.
She got her shield back, and tried to slash at her opponent. Only for Magnet Man to block the attack, after which he released a magnetic wave which flung Pyrrha backwards. She fell to the ground, quickly got up and saw that the robot was trying to once again shoot down the airship while having his back turned to her.
Magnet Man fired several magnet missiles at the airship above them, only for them be shot out of the air. He turned around and saw that Pyrrha had turned her spear into it's rifle form and managed to shoot his projectiles out of the air.
"Insolent human! Why won't you stay down!" He exclaimed, as he released several waves of magnetic blasts towards Pyrrha. Who blocked the waves by holding her shield in front of her and then used her semblance to send the waves back to her opponents.
"Because we're strong and we won't stay down easily." Replied Pyrrha as she used her semblance to launch her spear at Magnet Man at high speeds.
"Hah, nice try human." said Magnet Man, as he released a wave of magnetic energy to send the spear back to Pyrrha, only for her to use her semblance to resist it and then try to send it back to her opponent. Which led to the spear becoming stuck in mid-air due to the two opposing forces using their powers to send the spear to the other person.
"I can do this all day." Said Pyrrha, as she increased the strength of her polarity.
"So can I, lets see who croaks first." Said Magnet Man as he increased the strength of his magnetic energy blast.
Meanwhile with the others
After Pyrrha had left to fight Magnet Man, things had not been going well for the people that were left behind. The Yellow devil was stronger and faster than Rock had remembered. Being able to dodge attacks, while at the same time being able to fire several blasts of energy from his giant at eye at once. Leading to most people having to retreat due to their aura's getting dangerously close to getting to the red.
Professor goodwitch tried to use her semblance a few times to reflect the energy beams being shot at her, only to get hit in the process. Right now people like Doctor Oobleck, Professor Port, Snake, Ruby, Sun, Ren, Nora, Coco and Rock were using their weapons to shoot at the creature at the same time. Only for it to quickly dodge out of the way and move to a different location, while also having it's eye pop out of the massive blob and shoot at the people on the ground.
"Gah!" Exclaimed Ren as he, Nora, Sun, Coco, Snake and Professor Port fell to the ground from exhaustion.
"Oh no! Yang, Weiss, Blake and Rock cover me!" Yelled Ruby, he teammates nodded and began to fire blasts from their weapons. While Ruby used her semblance to quickly get her fallen comrades to safety.
She then returned and got an idea, she turned over to her teammates and friends. After which she said "Guys, I'm going to need one of you to create a diversion. Then I'm going to use my semblance to take that thing out."
"Are you sure that will work?" Asked Rock.
"Trust me, just create an opening and everything will work out fine." Replied Ruby, who then got approached by Professor Goodwitch.
"Miss Rose, please be careful. Remember, Mr Light said that you can't breathe in that thing. So please don't do anything reckless that could get you stuck inside of it's mass." Said Professor Goodwitch, with concern in her voice.
While that was being said, the Yellow Devil got ready to fire more blasts from it's eyes, only for them to get blocked by Jaune's shield who quickly rushed in to block the attacks. "Guys! Please hurry, I don't know how many more blasts my shield can handle!" Exclaimed Jaune.
"Ok, Ruby when you're ready. We'll cover you." said Rock.
"I'm ready." said Ruby, to which her teammates nodded and began to fire blasts from their weapons at the Yellow Devil, making the creature too busy absorbing the blasts to move out of the way. Ruby then moved backwards, got her scythe out and used her semblance dash towards the Yellow Devil at high speeds.
She then cut the Yellow Devil in two at a high speed, and got out on the other side. But unfortunately she didn't strike the eye, and instead struck the torso of the creature. She was about to celebrate due to not realizing that, she was caught off guard as the Yellow Devil regenerated and then struck her with one of his arms. Absorbing her into his body mass.
"Ruby!" Exclaimed Yang, as she then lit up her hair out of anger and dashed off to punch the eye of the creature. While Rock was only able to look on in horror, the realization hitting him that one of his friends could be dying right now.
As Yang was punching the eye of the creature in anger, and taking hits from the creature becoming more powerful but being unable to take it out, Weiss approached Rock, shook him out of his daze and exclaimed "Rock! How do we get Ruby out of there!"
Getting out of his daze, Rock looked at Weiss and replied with "There is one thing that the Yellow Devil is weak to, lightning based attacks. Do you still have lightning dust in your rapier?"
Weiss looked at Myrtenaster, saw that she had run out of lightning dust and replied "I'm out." She then turned to Neptune who was trying to dodge attacks from the Yellow Devil and asked "Neptune, use your trident against the Yellow Devil."
"Are... You sure? I'm not sure... if I can get close... to the creature!" Yelled Neptune as he kept dodging blasts from the Yellow Devil.
"Then give me your trident!" Yelled Rock, to which Neptune immediately threw Rock his trident. Rock then activated it, got ready to strike and then dashed over to the Yellow Devil while shouting "Yang, move out of the way!"
Yang did so and moved out of the way, allowing Rock to dash towards the Yellow Devil. He jumped at the Yellow Devil, impaled the eye of the creature with the electrified trident. This caused the eye to explode, after which the Yellow Devil fell apart and it's gooey body then fell into the nearby sewers. Leaving only an unconscious Ruby behind as a result, to which Rock quickly rushed towards.
Rock saw that she wasn't breathing, and began to quickly apply CPR to get her to start breathing again. After a while Ruby only began to breath a slowly, indicating that life was returning to her. Causing Rock to exclaim "Ruby! Please, please wake up. I lo-" Only for him to stop when a small vial dropping from the sky landed on him, causing him to stand up and shake his head.
Ruby then woke up, and saw that not just Rock was standing over her. But also most of her friends looking at her in concern. "Guys..." She tried to say, only for Yang to pull her into a hug.
"Yang." said Ruby softly.
"DON'T EVER SCARE ME LIKE THAT AGAIN! YOU HEAR ME!" Yelled Yang.
"Ya-Yang, I'm fine." Said Ruby, as her sister kept holding onto her.
"I'll be the judge of that." said Yang, as tears began to flow down her face and kept holding onto her sister.
The rest of their team kept on looking at the interaction, while Rock kept holding onto his head to get his bearings back after the vial hit him. Blake noticed and asked "Rock, are you alright?"
"Yeah... yeah I-I'm fine. I'm going to check to see how Pyrrha is doing." said Rock, after which he teleported out of the area.
Jaune looked at his shield and saw that there wasn't as much damage as he thought there would be. He then looked at the ground, saw the vial and said "Hey guys, does anyone know what that is?"
"It's just some plastic, vomit boy. Don't worry about it." said Yang, as she kept holding onto Ruby.
"Oh alright, if you say so." Replied Jaune somberly.
"Wait, show me that thing your holding." said Auto, to which Jaune nodded and handed him the piece of plastic. Auto looked at it and then exclaimed "Guys... That is not some piece of plastic, that is a vial of the roboenza virus and it seems that Rock has been infected with the virus."
Everyone looked shocked, then Professor Goodwitch asked "And what does that mean?"
"He will be turning evil, and become more violent." said Auto.
"And he went after Pyrrha!" Exclaimed Jaune, after which he dashed off to go after Rock.
"Shouldn't we go after him?" asked Ruby to Auto.
Auto didn't respond, instead he pushed some buttons on his right arm. To which Yang exclaimed "Auto!"
Said robot held up one finger, telling Yang to wait. After a few minutes a capsule fell from the sky, which then opened to reveal a plastic capsule similar to the previous one that landed on Rock.
"What is that?" asked Weiss.
"That, miss Schnee, is the antidote for the roboenza virus." Replied Auto.
"How did you do that?" asked Blake.
"I programmed my lab to function similar to those rocket lockers in the school and to launch specific ones if ever needed." said Auto.
"So now what do we do?" asked Neptune as he picked up his trident from the ground.
"We go after him, stop him from doing anything bad and give him the antidote." said Auto, to which the rest of the people there nodded while Snake quickly took off without being spotted.
"Then lets go." said Ruby as she ran off, with the rest of her team, Ren, Nora, Sun, Neptune and Auto followed her. While the rest of the people stayed behind to deal with any remaining threats.
Professor Goodwitch walked around the crash site for a bit, and then saw that Torchwick was trapped under some debris. He opened his eyes and said "Well done, looks like someone was finally able to catch Roman Torchwick master criminal."
"I'd be quiet if I were you, you are in no position to taunt anyone right now." Said Professor Goodwitch, as she then used her semblance to remove the debris from Roman and then put the rubble back were it originally came from. After that a rope was tied around Roman.
"Oooooh kinky, if you are going to do anything with that whip of yours the safe word will be candle." Said Roman, causing Professor Goodwitch to blush in embarrassment.
"You will stay quiet while we wait for someone to take you into custody!" Exclaimed a flustered Professor Goodwitch.
"Hmmm, dominant I like that." Said Roman.
"Sit still and wait for reinforcements!" Yelled Professor Goodwitch.
"No need for that Glynda." said a new voice.
Professor Goodwitch turned around and saw that General Ironwood had arrived with an Atlas airship. "General, what are you doing here?" Asked Professor Goodwitch.
"I'm here to take Torchwick into custody." Replied the General.
"But this is Vale, you don't have the jurisdiction to enforce the Atlesian laws here." said Professor Goodwitch.
"The Vale council gave us jurisdiction." replied General Ironwood, as he gave one of his soldiers the signal to take Torchwick into custody. Ironwood turned to Torchwick and said "Roman Torchwick, on behalf of Vale and Atlas I'm placing you under arrest for your crimes. Anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law."
"Yeah, yeah I know. This isn't my first rodeo with the law." said Roman, as he was transported onto the airship.
"This isn't right, you can't do this" said Professor Goodwitch in disbelief.
"Why don't you have a talk with Oz, he should be able to tell you all about this. After all the Vale council should have told him of this." said general Ironwood as he went into the airship, which then took off.
Professor Goodwitch then grabbed her scroll with a panicked look on her face, which made Coco ask "Professor what's wrong?"
"I need to make a call, keep watch over the city and make sure that no Grimm attack any unarmed civilians." said Professor Goodwitch as she made the call to Professor Ozpin, while the students nodded and did what they were told.
With Pyrrha
Pyrrha was still in the middle of her struggle against Magnet Man, desperately trying to beat the robot and trying to increase the strength of her semblance to get her spear to pierce the robot. But she was getting tired from the struggle, and thought to herself "I can't keep going, this is becoming too much for me."
She then thought back to her early life and all the tournaments she had won, which only made her feel somber. But then her mind started to show her memories of her interacting with the friends she made at Beacon. The sparring match she had with Rock in combat class, the food fight with Team RRWBY, meditating with with Ren, lifting weights with Nora.
Then her mind flashed to her moments with Jaune, when he first accepted her help with training, the improvements he had made over time and the school dance. She then felt determination rising inside of her and thought "NO! I'm not giving up! I'm Pyrrha Nikos, champion of tournaments, top of my class at Beacon and capable of training those without skill. I'm not falling to a simple opponent like the one in front of me!"
Pyrrha then felt her strength return to her and she increased the strength of her semblance and managed to overpower the resistance coming from Magnet Man. Causing the spear to fly through the air and impale the robot in front of her, which caused it to fall to the ground.
Magnet Man then looked at his opponent and said "Impressive, I guess we now know who the real master of magnetism is." After which he exploded, leaving only his memory chip behind.
Pyrrha was about to pick it up, but then Rock teleported in and grabbed the memory chip. Causing him to get the message "Magnet Missile Obtained." He then stood still with his back turned away from Pyrrha.
She was about to approach him, but then Pyrrha felt a strange evil energy coming from Rock and asked "Rock? Are you ok?"
Rock then chuckled darkly, turned around and replied with "Oh I am fine, for the first time in my life I feel truly free." After which he shot a massive purple charged shot at Pyrrha, which she couldn't dodge and was therefore shot to the ground.
She then struggled to lift herself up, only for Rock to come close to her face. After which she asked "Wh-why... Ar-are... you doing this?"
Rock chuckled again, grabbed Pyrrha's spear and stabbed her in the gut with it. After which he said "Because I'm finally free from my restraints, no more laws, no more rules. You'll just be an example for the rest to not get in my way."
"This isn't you." said Pyrrha, as she was struggling to speak due to the stab wound.
"No, this is who I am! This is who I should have always been!" Exclaimed the now evil Rock.
"You won't win. You won't get away with this, our friends will come for you and save you from this state." said Pyrrha.
Rock chuckled and replied with "Let them come." He then saw Jaune run towards them, but then came to a stop when he saw what had happened "Oh hello Jaune, come to save your girlfriend?" Rock taunted, as he held his buster up to Pyrrha's head.
"Rock, please let her go. You don't have to do this!" Exclaimed Jaune in desperation.
"Hmmmm, sure why not." Said Rock as he then threw Pyrrha at Jaune, who then jumped to the ground to catch her. And then Rock teleported out of the area to get away from them.
Jaune then turned Pyrrha onto her back, looked her in the eyes and exclaimed "Pyrrha, Pyrrha! Please, speak to me!"
Pyrrha, struggling to stay awake from her injuries, looked at Jaune and replied weakly "Jaune, I'm sorry."
"No! No, don't apologize. We'll get you to safety, just stay awake!" Exclaimed Jaune.
"Jaune... I'm proud of you. I'm proud of the progress that you've made, look after our team for me." Replied Pyrrha, as she was beginning to close her eyes.
"Pyrrha, please don't say that. You'll make it out of here alive. I promise, I'm not letting you die." Exclaimed Jaune, as his body began to give off a faint glow.
"You'll make a fine huntsman one day. I love you." Replied Pyrrha as she closed her eyes.
"PYRRHA! No please." exclaimed Jaune as he began to try and shake her awake, only for her to not give him a response. "PYRRHA!" Jaune yelled in agony, which caused both of their bodies to start glowing. While in the background a loud crash was heard, which Jaune chose to ignore.
Jaune however did notice the glow around his body and yelled "What is this!"
"Jaune!" Was then exclaimed, he turned around and saw a large group of people running towards him.
When the group came to a stop they saw the state that Pyrrha was in and the glow emanating from Jaune. Causing Ruby to exclaim "What happened!"
"Rock has turned evil, and he shot Pyrrha then stabbed her with her own weapon. I tried to help her, but now I'm glowing." Replied Jaune as he kept holding onto his partner.
"You've unlocked your semblance." said Ren.
"What?" asked Jaune in confusion.
"That glow, it means you've unlocked your semblance. Your body and soul are now working in harmony." said Ren.
"My semblance... You mean this glow? What is it doing?" asked Jaune.
Ren closed his eyes for a bit to concentrate on Jaune, after a bit he opened his eyes and said "You're healing Pyrrha, your semblance is called amplification. You can increase your own strength or durability. But I sense that there is more to it than that, I sense that you can use it to amplify the strength of other people's semblances or in this case use it to heal others."
"Then what do I do now?" asked Jaune.
"You keep healing, but you need to focus. So take a deep breath, clear your mind and begin pouring your energy into one place." said Ren.
"Wait before you do anything, did you see where Rock went?" asked Ruby.
"I didn't, I'm sorry. I was too focused on keeping Pyrrha safe that I didn't see where he went." Replied Jaune.
"That's fine, focus on healing your teammate. We'll find him." said Sun.
"Thanks." said Jaune as he closed his eyes, listened to the advice that Ren had given him and began to pour his aura into the wound in Pyrrha's body. Which started to heal it and stopped blood from leaking from the wound. "It's working, she is starting to heal."
"Good, now keep going." said Ren as he turned to the rest of the group and added "Go after Rock, me and Nora will stay here to help our team. We'll wait for the paramedics to arrive."
Ruby nodded and replied "We'll do that, stay safe."
The group was about to run off to find Rock, only for all of them to get an alert on their scrolls. Stopping all of them in their tracks to look at their scrolls.
"I wonder what could be so important." said Yang as she took out her scroll to look at the message.
They all looked at the message on their scrolls, but were shocked to find the message they had gotten.
"No... That can't be." said Blake in shock.
"This... this is an arrest warrant for Rock." Said Neptune.
"But how is that possible, he couldn't have done anything that bad to have an arrest warrant put out for him?" asked Ruby in confusion.
"Guys read what it says." said Weiss as she began to read out loud what the warrant said "Rock Light also known as the hero Mega Man has hereby been declared an enemy of the Atlesian military after destroying multiple airships and attacking several soldiers including the general. If anyone sees this criminal do not engage and let the Atlesian military handle it. Anyone seen helping this criminal will be deemed a traitor to the kingdom of Atlas and will be arrested on the spot."
"What do we do now?" asked Sun.
"We go after him, give him the cure and hope to god that we get to him before the Atlas military gets to him. Now lets go!" Exclaimed Auto, as he ran off with the rest of the group running off. Leaving Jaune and his team behind.
Jaune, who was still healing Pyrrha, saw that the wound was nearly closed and then heard a soft beat. He then exclaimed "Guys, I'm getting a heartbeat. Pyrrha is going to make it."
Earlier with Rock
The now evil robot had teleported onto a random street and saw that several beowolves were charging towards him. He made quick work of them by blasting them to pieces with a shot from his fully charged buster, which released a wave of purple energy instead of blue.
"Tch, pathetic. Is no one her worthy of challenging me!" Exclaimed Rock, he then saw a figure run across a rooftop nearby. He teleported over to the rooftop and tackled the figure. Getting a good look at the figure, Rock exclaimed "Well, well, well Snake Man how nice of you to drop by."
"Mega Man, you ssssssssshouldn't be here!" Exclaimed Snake Man.
"Too bad, I'm here right now." said Rock.
"No thisssssss can't be, they ssssssssaid you would to busssssssssy fighting to pay attention to me." Said Snake Man.
"Really, and why is that?" asked Rock, who then saw a small package attached to the other robot. Prompting him to ask "Wanna tell me what that is?"
"You ssssssssshouldn't pay attention to that." Replied Snake Man, who tried to escape from Rock's grasp.
Rock grabbed the package, opened it and saw that it was the hard drive he left in his room. "Well, looks like your time has run out." Said Rock, as he held his buster against the head of Snake Man.
"You can't kill me, you're a hero. You're one of the good guyssssssss." said Snake Man.
"Not anymore." Replied Rock as he began to charge his mega buster.
"Pleasssssssssse, have mercy." said Snake Man, only for the robot to be shot to pieces from the purple charged shot that Rock released onto the robot.
Rock then grabbed the memory chip that fell onto the ground, absorbed it and got the message "Search Snake Obtained", after that he grabbed the hard drive. Rock smashed it to the ground, and then got the message "All weapons obtained, all restraints are about to be removed."
"Perfect, now lets have some fun." said Rock, as he then looked towards the sky and saw more Atlesian Airships enter the Vale airspace. Causing him to get an evil grin on his face. "This will definitely be fun." He said.
Rock then stood with an evil and determined look on his face, he then turned into a rainbow version of himself with the colors of all the weapons he had obtained so far. He then aimed at the sky, and shot a large orb into the sky. After a few seconds the orb exploded, releasing several blasts of elemental energy, missiles and explosions into the air. Everything that released from the orb took down the Atlesian airships that were in the air.
The airships came crashing down onto the ground, which took out several buildings. All the while Rock looked on with glee on his face, while he exclaimed "This is perfect! This is art!"
He then looked on as none other than General Ironwood came crawling out of the wreckage of the airship, and looked at Rock standing on the rooftop of a really building. To which Rock replied "General, I would love to stay. But I have other places to be, see you around!" After which Rock teleported out of the area, leaving the general to seethe in anger.
He then grabbed his scroll, dialed a number and yelled "I want every available unit to Vale to hunt down Rock Light also known as Mega Man. I want him arrested and tried for treason, anyone seen helping him will be seen as an enemy of the Atlas Military. Do not let him escape!"
He then began to walk away with his pistol in his hand, but was then stopped when one of the soldiers crawling out of the wreckage asked "Sir, where are you going?"
"I'm catching another criminal, don't let Torchwick get out of sight." said Ironwood as he stormed off, leaving the soldier to watch over the still captured Tocrhwick.
Back in the present
Rock was running across several rooftops while shooting out hyper bombs, crash bombs, napalm bombs and drill bombs from his buster to the ground, causing massive explosions once the bombs reached the ground. He continued running across the rooftops, when he got punched in the face by Yang using her gauntlet and was thrown to the ground.
"Ah Yang, come to die." said Rock as he pointed his buster at Yang.
"No, I'm only asking this once. Stand down and let us help you." said Yang.
"Hmmmm, nah I'm good." said Rock as he charged up his buster, and released a beam of purple energy from it. The energy hit Yang and powered her up.
"That was a mistake." said Yang, as her eyes had a red glow from anger.
"It sure was." said Rock, as he used the thunder beam on Yang.
"Gah!" Exclaimed Yang, who got knocked down as a result of being hit by the beam.
"Hmm, what a shame. Now where is the rest of our team?" Pondered Rock.
"Right here!" Exclaimed Weiss, as she landed in front of Rock and used the remaining bit of dust in her rapier to encase Rock in a pillar of ice. When it seemed that Rock couldn't get out, Weiss turned to Yang to help her out. "You ok?" she asked.
"Yeah, just a shocking experience." joked Yang, earning her a punch from the heiress. However with their backs turned to the ice pillar, Rock then used the scorch wheel to free himself and then threw several crash bombs at Yang and Weiss. The explosion knocking the two backwards.
He then looked around and had the arm that was his buster grabbed by a rope, he looked in the direction from which the rope came and saw that Blake had tried to capture him. He then pulled onto the rope and then yanked Blake closer to him. When she got near him he punched her in the stomach and knocked her down onto the ground.
Rock looked at his fallen teammates, scoffed and said "Tch, look at you. Not even a challenge for me, now where is our dear leader?" At the moment a plastic container was shot at him, and exploded onto him upon impact. Spilling the contents onto Rock, making him turn around to see that Ruby was in the air holding onto auto and having fired the shot.
Upon being spotted Ruby said "Hey Rock, please don't kill me for this. I know your still in there."
"A foolish assumption." Replied Rock, as he then began to charge his buster. But after a bit of charging something changed from within Rock, and he turned back to his normal good self. The sudden change caused him to fall to the ground in pain.
Ruby was put on the roof by the still flying auto, approached Rock and asked "Rock, are you ok?"
"Don't come closer!" Exclaimed Rock, as he then teleported away.
"Rock, come back! You're not a monster to us!" Yelled Ruby, she then ran to her teammates and said "Are you guys ok?"
"Yeah, i'm fine. He didn't shatter my aura." said Blake, as she got up from the ground but still held onto her stomach.
"I'm fine, how about you brute?" asked Weiss as she helped Yang to stand up.
"Could be a lot better, my aura is about to shatter." said Yang, as she struggled to stand.
"Are you guys good to help me find our teammate?" asked Ruby, to which the rest of her team nodded. "Good then lets go." Said Ruby as she dashed off to find her teammate, with the rest of her team following after Ruby.
Later
A couple of hours have passed and it would still be an hour before the sun would set, Rock had been running through the city while fighting with his own mind. "I can't go back... Let me take over... Never!... You are weak... I won't let you win!"
He kept running but then he was pulled into an alleyway, and was about to fight when he looked onto Snake who said "I had a hard time finding you."
"How did you find me?" asked Rock.
"You've been running through the city for hours, inevitably you would have stumbled upon me." said Snake.
"Why are you here! Are you going to turn me in with the Atlas military!" Exclaimed Rock as he held up his buster.
Snake held up his hands and replied "Whoa, whoa kid calm down. I'm here to help you."
"Really, and how is that?" asked Rock.
"With this." said Snake as held another hard drive against Rock, who then got the message "All weapons removed, morality back online."
"Why are you doing this?" asked Rock.
"Kid, lets be honest here. The military is after you, and there is no way that you'll make it back to that school before they catch you. So it's for the best that your weapons don't fall into their hands." said Snake.
"Are you sure?" asked Rock.
"One hundred percent sure, don't worry I'll keep this safe while also looking for the others while you are in their custody." Said Snake.
"You think I'll be able to get out at any point?" asked Rock.
"I'm sure that the headmaster and your teachers will do their best to keep you out of prison." said Snake.
"Thank you!" Exclaimed Rock, who then quickly hugged Snake. Who only responded by patting Rock on the head.
"What will you do with the hard drive?" asked Rock.
"I'll keep it safe until you pick it up, or your team does." said Snake, as he kept holding onto Rock.
Snake then heard Rock's name being called out by several female voices, causing Snake to say "Rock, it's your team."
"I can't face them, not like this." said Rock.
"They'll understand, now go!" Exclaimed Snake.
Rock stayed silent for a bit and then said "Thank you Snake, stay safe."
"You too kid, you too." said Snake as he vanished into the shadows.
Rock then ran out of the alleyway and bumped into Ruby, who upon seeing him exclaimed "Rock! You're safe!" and pulled him into a hug.
"Guys, I'm sorry." said Rock as tears started flowing down his face.
"Hey, hey don't worry. We're not mad at you." said Ruby.
"I killed Pyrrha." said Rock.
"No you didn't, I'm sure that vomit boy has healed completely at this point." said Yang, as she, Blake and Weiss joined with the hug.
"Guys I'm sorry about this!" Exclaimed Rock.
"Don't be, what you did was out of your control." said Weiss.
"So you guys can forgive me for this?" asked Rock.
"It's not your fault Rock, it's not your fault that you got the roboenza virus." said Blake.
"What do we do now?" asked Rock.
"We wait for Ozpin to arrive to sort this out, we'll even fight off Ironwood with you if we have to!" Exclaimed Ruby proudly.
"Are you sure about that!" Exclaimed booming voice.
Team RRWBY let go of their hug, turned around and saw General Ironwood with a small platoon of soldiers standing before them. "Get away from that criminal!" Yelled Ironwood, causing the rest of Team RRWBY to stand in front of Rock in a defensive position.
"We won't let you take him!" Yelled Ruby as she turned Crescent Rose into it's sniper form and aimed it at the general.
"Miss Rose, Miss Xiao Long, Miss Schnee and Miss Belladonna I suggest you step aside and let us apprehend this criminal." said General Ironwood.
"Never!" yelled Yang, as she held up her gauntlets. Ready to throw down with the general, next to her Weiss and Blake held up their weapons as well.
Ironwood let out a chuckle and then said "Very well then, just know that I can arrest all of you when this is over!"
"On what grounds!" Yelled Weiss.
"Lets see, Miss Rose using your weapon to assault multiple individuals without a license, Miss Xiao Long the incident at that night club, Miss Belladonna your crimes from your time in the White Fang." said General Ironwood, not saying anything to Weiss.
"You have nothing on me general." said Weiss, as she held up her rapier.
"I'll have you arrested for siding with criminals, also that rapier of yours is empty. I wouldn't try anything if I were you." said General Ironwood, as he and his troops pointed their weapons at the group.
"You can't do this! You have no jurisdiction here!" Yelled Blake.
General Ironwood let out a loud chuckle and replied "I'm General Ironwood of the Atlas military, the Vale council has given me jurisdiction over this area. So I suggest you stand down."
"You're bluffing, that can't be true." said Yang.
"And you girl are stalling, buying extra time. You're all tired, and the only option is being saved by your teachers. So here is my ultimatum, I count to three and if Rock doesn't give himself up by then I'll have my troops shoot you until your aura breaks and you'll all be arrested. How does that sound!" Exclaimed Ironwood.
"You can't do that! That's a war crime!" Exclaimed Ruby before turning to Blake and Weiss and asking "That's a war crime right?"
Blake and Weiss turned to each other, looked each other in the eyes, then turned back to Ruby and said "Yes, that is a war crime."
"See, you can't do that. It's a war crime!" Yelled Ruby.
"And who is going to believe you, it's your word against mine." said Ironwood, when he didn't hear a response he began to count.
"One." Team RRWBY didn't budge, but the troops began to take their aim.
"Two." Team RRWBY began to look nervous, as some troops began to charge their blasters.
"Three." The troops were about to shoot at Team RRWBY, but then Rock exclaimed "Stop!"
"Mr Light, finally came to your senses?" asked General Ironwood.
"Yes, I'll go with you. On two conditions." said Rock.
"Name them." said General Ironwood.
"You let them go, and I get to say my goodbyes." said Rock.
Ironwood thought for a moment and then said "Fine, just make it quick. I'm a very busy man, and a lot of reports have to be written over what happened today."
"I won't take too long." said Rock, who then turned to Weiss and said "Weiss, if I never get to see any of you again. I want to say I'm sorry for holding onto my grudge for your father and blaming you for what happened."
Weiss gave Rock a quick hug, let go of him and said "I forgive you, please come back soon."
Rock nodded, then turned to Blake and said "Blake, try to forgive yourself for what happened in the past. You are not responsible for him going down that path."
Blake gave Rock a simple nod and said "I'll try."
"That's all I ask." said Rock, who then turned to Auto and said "Auto stay safe, and keep a watch over the pets."
"Don't worry, I will." said Auto.
Rock then turned to Yang and said "Yang, you're allowed to be selfish at times. But also be mindful of the emotions of others."
Yang gave Rock a fist bump and replied "Just stay out of trouble, you little criminal."
"No promises." said Rock, as he then turned to Ruby who tackled him into a hug.
"Please don't leave!" Yelled Ruby.
"I'm sorry there is no other way." said Rock.
"We can fix this, we can keep stalling until help arrives!" Exclaimed Ruby, in a desperate bid to keep her teammate with the rest of his team.
"I'm sorry, I can't." said Rock as he got himself freed from Ruby's hug and looked her deep within her silver eyes. He then placed a soft gentle kiss on Ruby's forehead and then said to her "Lead them, don't falter, don't ever doubt yourself. You are stronger than you think."
He then walked over to the general, but then turned around to face Ruby and said "I love you, Ruby Rose."
Ruby then fell to the ground, with tears streaming down her face and then exclaimed "I love you too!"
Rock then walked over to Ironwood, who placed him in handcuffs and then walked into an airship that just arrived. After a few seconds the airship took off, leaving the rest of Team R_WBY to look on in shock and with tears in their eyes as their teammate was taken away from them by the military.
Meanwhile on a rooftop on the other side of Vale
Cinder, Mercury and Emerald looked on as they saw the final Grimm being taken out by professional huntsmen from a nearby rooftop, causing Cinder to say "All in all, I would be tempted to say that today was a success."
"Despite all the White Fang soldiers that died in the tunnels." said Mercury.
"Despite those stupid kids making a mess of things and us being forced to help fight off the Grimm." said Mercury in an annoyed tone.
"Yes, despite that." said Cinder, dreading the call she was going to have to make to Salem.
"And despite certain things not happening according to plan, like Mega Man going crazy." said Mercury "How are we going to explain that one?"
"Don't worry, we'll improvise if we have to during the festival." said Cinder, as a figure then teleported onto the rooftop. Cinder turned to the figure and said "And who might you be?"
"I'm Bass, I have a message from my idiotic creator." Said Bass, as he held out a hologram showing only Wily's legs.
"Am I in view?" asked Wily.
"Uhm doctor, you need to turn the monitor up." said Bass.
"Like this?" asked Wily, as the hologram now showed his bald head.
"A bit more down." said Bass.
"Like this." said Wily, as his face was now visible in the hologram.
"It's perfect." said Bass sarcastically.
"Wily, what can I do for you?" asked Cinder.
"I'm here to inform you that you are no longer in control of my armies." Said Wily.
"What!" Exclaimed Cinder in anger.
"Cinder, keep your voice down. You know how hard it it to keep this illusion up when sound is also a factor!" Exclaimed Emerald.
"Right sorry, Wily come again?" asked Cinder.
"I said you are no longer in control of my troops." said Wily.
"You can't do that! Who gave you the right!" Exclaimed Cinder.
"Salem did, I had a small talk with her and after telling her about the amount of robots you lost me she agreed with me." said Wily.
"And who will lead your armies? You? Did you finally decide to get off your lazy butt and decide to help us out!" Exclaimed Cinder.
"Nope, Bass will be leading my armies and he'll be the one to talk to if you need any of my robots in the future. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to be working on a project, ciao." said Wily as the hologram turned off.
"That bastard!" Exclaimed Cinder.
"Tch, whatever. Your feud you have with Wily isn't my problem." said Bass as he started looking over the city.
"You know, I just realized. We're in trouble with the White Fang now that we so many of their brethren killed." said Mercury.
"I wouldn't worry about that." said a raspy but deep voice.
The trio turned around and saw a cloaked figure with a snake symbol on his hood standing in front of them. "Scorpio, good to see you. Did you take care of the issue?" asked Cinder.
"I did, Adam Taurus won't be a problem for our plans any longer. With him gone, no one will think twice before they convince anyone else of leaving or questioning our morals." said Scorpio.
"Good and the White Fang faction in Vale?" asked Cinder.
"Under my control, we're ready to work with you to achieve a world without those pesky humans." Said Scorpio.
"So you want us to do anything with the Belladonna girl?" asked Mercury "Maybe a little accident."
"Leave her be, I'll make sure she won't go after me or the White Fang anymore. That way, her team will stay out of your hairs." said Scorpio.
"Perfect." said Cinder as she turned to Vale and imagined it burning to the ground. She then added "I think everything will go according to plan."
Meanwhile in the main Atlas airship
General Ironwood was looking at Beacon through a window of the airship, then turned to his two prisoners and said "You two brought this on yourself."
When he got no response, he turned to a soldier and said "Leave us." The soldier gave the general a salute and then left the room.
"Torchwick, I've been informed that so far you've been refusing to cooperate with my soldiers." said general Ironwood, as he slammed the cell door and exclaimed "Tell me what I want to know!"
"I know this might be hard to believe, General, but uh... I'm not the biggest fan of local law enforcement." said Roman.
"How about the world's strongest military power?" asked General Ironwood.
"Hmmmmm, first impression. Not great." said Roman.
"I'm going to give you one chance. Who is really behind all this?" asked General Ironwood.
"Isn't it obvious? You're looking at him!" Exclaimed Roman.
"Hm... very well then." said General Ironwood, as he began to leave the area.
"What's the matter General, I thought you wanted to talk." said Roman.
"Because the Atlas military has been given jurisdiction over Vale, we'll be keeping you both here until a decision is made. Pray that neither of you won't be send to Atlas for judgement." said Ironwood as he left the area.
"Well that's just great." Said Roman as he began to pace through his cell. When there was complete silence he exclaimed "Hey Blue, you there!"
After a bit of silence Rock replied with "Yes Torchwick, I'm here." in an annoyed tone.
"Oh good, listen I think that with my luck I'll be able to get us out of here in no time. You just have to be patient." said Roman.
"I'll believe it when I see it." replied Rock somberly.
"Word of advice of kid, stick with me and everything will be alright. Now lets keep each other company, neighbor." said Roman.
Meanwhile at a different location
In the deepest part of the Emerald forest lies the burning wreckage of the airship that Adam Taurus was flying with earlier, but then exploded with him attempting to escape.
However a figure was crawling out of the wreckage, and was struggling to stand up. That figure is Adam Taurus who is now covered in burns and cuts from the crash and who was able to stand up after crawling away far enough from the wreckage.
He looked at the sky and said "I guess this is my punishment for my crimes, huh?"
When he got no response he yelled "I get it! I deserve it, but why did I survive!"
He then threw off his mask, let it land near the wreckage and yelled "There! My face out in the open! Now why did you let me live!"
"Ah screw it!" Yelled Adam as he started making his way through the forest.
After a while he looked around and said "If I'm in the emerald forest, then the safe house we build should be here as well." He then continued searching in silence.
After a long while of searching, which took several hours after which the sun had gone down he finally stumbled upon a small cottage in the forest, he entered it and went to the bathroom.
There he found a med kit, and then looked on in horror as he saw his reflection in the mirror. Which made him look like some sort of distorted devil figure. "What is this!"
The reflection chuckled and said "I am you Adam, don't you see the resemblance. We are the same."
"No! That can't be, I can't be you!" Yelled Adam.
"Oh, but you are. You are just like me, we're both monsters." Said the demonic reflection.
"No! I'll never become like you!" Yelled Adam.
"Too late for that, in fighting the humans you became just as bad as them." Said the reflection.
"Shut up!" Yelled Adam as he smashed the window to pieces, which then fell to the ground and only showed Adam's damaged reflection instead of the demonic reflection.
"What have I become." said Adam.
Meanwhile in Dr Wily's castle
Dr Wily was watching the recordings from earlier that day in Vale, when he got a call from a hidden caller on his main computer.
He accepted the call and was greeted with an elderly face, with a single red glowing eye from the shadows, to which Wily said "Master, is everything alright?"
"Everything is perfect Wily, it's all going according to my plan and you helped me perfectly with it." said the figure/
"Really? Does that mean that I'll be getting my reward?" asked Wily.
"I already sent it to you." said the figure, as a message appeared on Wily's computer.
Wily looked at the message and said "You sent me the coordinates for some ruins in the Vacuo dessert."
"Yes, I'm sure they will be able to help you." said the figure.
"Thank you master, I'm sure that I'll be able to make good use of this. If there is anything you need, feel free to call." said Wily.
"Don't worry I will, and don't call me master. We're on the same level, I consider you an equal." said the figure.
"Thank you, Doctor Merlot." said Wily, as the screen turned off and he was left alone.
A/N: And there you have it, a chapter that took longer than a month to come out. Whoops, but anyways I hope you enjoyed this chapter the intermission chapter should come out soon enough I hope it doesn't take too long but we'll just see when it comes out.
