Chapter 45: Pixelator part 2
Scene: The hall way. Pixelator opens the door to a room. Alec Cataldi is in the room.
Pixelator: Jagged Stone?
Alec: What?
Pixelator: (opens the door) Look into the lens!
"That's kind of creepy," said Alya, shuddering. "Does it hurt to be digitized?"
Adrien shook his head. "Not really. It's just a bit scary."
Meanwhile, Marinette gives the shades to Penny.
Penny: I'll give them to Mr. Stone.
Marinette: Can't you deliver them to him now?
Penny: He's... resting.
Jagged Stone is in the bathroom, giving Fang a bubble bath.
Jagged Stone: Now who likes having his belly scratch? Daddy's little Fang!
The class died of laughter.
"Daddy's little Fang!" Adrien imitated, laughing. "And I thought he was RESTING."
"Looks like this is his idea of resting," Marinette giggled.
"And it also looks like he thinks he's the crocodile's father," Alya added, smirking.
Chloe stifled out a laugh. "The momma's got some explaining to do."
"Yeah, she definitely does," Nino snorted.
Marinette: Okay, no problem. Just trying to do the job right the second time.
Penny: Got it.
Marinette: Thank- (Penny slams the door)
Marinette: *sighs* -you…
"I feel like his assistant is a bit impatient," said Kim.
(Pixelator knocks the door)
Marinette: I hope Mr. Stone likes them.
"Like them is an understatement! He really likes you, Marinette," said Alya.
"Yeah, like even the day we were at Luka and Juleka's house, when his assistant was akumatized into Desperada, he recognized you first," Adrien told her.
Marinette nearly choked on her own saliva.
Adrien panicked. "Are you okay? Did I say something?"
Luka….Was it completely horrible of her to have completely forgotten all about Luka? What was she going to do when she got back? Marinette felt sick. It was only when his name was mentioned that she remembered he even existed that day. She swallowed. "Um, no..nothing at all. It was just a cough."
Tikki: Hard work always pays off.
Penny: Who are you?
Pixelator: Look into the lens! (zaps her)
Marinette: (Sees the Pixelator, and goes into the elevator) Time to transform!
[ Transformation Sequence ]
Marinette: Tikki, spots on! Ah! (Marinette transforms into Ladybug)
"How is it that you're always at the event of the akumatization?" Chloe frowned.
Marinette shrugged. "Luck?"
Scene: Jagged Stone's room. Pixelator breaks in and sees Jagged Stone.
Pixelator: Hey there! Time for your photoshoot!
Jagged Stone: How did you get in here? I don't know about any photos. Fang, attack! (Fang rolls over)
"Looks like daddy's little Fang feels cozy after a nice bubble bath," Kim snickered, making the class laugh.
Pixelator: See you later, alligator. (Zaps Fang)
"That's like..the ONLY time the expression is used properly," Chloe snorted. "People say See you later, alligator! all the time, but in this case it's ACTUALLY an alligator."
Marinette laughed. "Oh yeah, you're right!"
Jagged Stone: What? Fang? Fang! Who are you?
Pixelator: I am Pixelator, your biggest fan, Mr. Stone. Can I called you Jagged?
Jagged Stone: No!
Pixelator: I want to immortalize you, Jagged! I'll be your one and only fan! You will belong to me for eternity! Now, look into the lens.
"That's just disgusting, who would want him as a fan?" Chloe said in disgust.
Marinette folded her arms across her chest. "Sure, I stalked Adrien. But I didn't turn into a creepy villain and chase him around Paris, trying to digitize him so he could belong to me for eternity."
Adrien stifled a laugh. "When you put it that way, now I feel bad!"
(Pixelator is about to zap him, but Ladybug saves him)
Pixelator: So, you're Ladybug. I've heard such pathetic things about you.
"From WHO, may I ask? Hawkmoth?" Adrien scoffed.
Pixelator: Look into the lens!
(Pixelator zaps Ladybug, but she dodges. Ladybug grabs a flower vase with her yo-yo, and throws it at Pixelator, but he dodges them. Jagged Stone hides under a table. Pixelator keeps zapping Ladybug. Her right arm gets zapped and digitized. She manages to get Jagged Stone out of the hotel)
"Your arm!" Rose gasped. "That must be scary."
Marinette nodded. "Getting your arm digitized isn't exactly the best feeling in the world!"
Pixelator: Ugh! Where did they go?
Hawk Moth: If you want Jagged, you must find Ladybug.
Pixelator: I don't have time to deal with this Ladybug!
Hawk Moth: Yes, you do. Plenty of time. (Starts controlling Pixelator)
"What a monster!" Marientte clenched her fists.
Pixelator: Okay, okay! Tell me what to do.
Hawk Moth: I command an excellent photograph of Ladybug with her Miraculous. I want those powers! So listen very carefully.
"You're never getting my photo, Hawkmoth. Besides, wouldn't that make you a stalker?" said Marinette.
Scene: Collège Françoise Dupont. Mr. Damocles' office.
Jagged Stone: I can't stay here. I'm performing tonight.
"Is that seriously what he's concerned about?" Alya shook her head. "Paris is dumber than I thought."
"Says you," Marinette teased. "You couldn't even figure out your best friend was Ladybug."
Alya turned pink. "Well, how could I have suspected it? Let's be honest, you're not as clumsy when you're Ladybug."
"That's because the miraculous enhances physical abilities," Adrien informed her.
"I didn't KNOW that!" Alya said defensively. "Plus, you don't even look the same."
Everyone just stared at her.
She sighed sheepishly. "Fine..maybe you do."
Ladybug: Don't worry, you'll get to do your gig. You'll even get to wear some awesome shades!
Jagged Stone: Huh?
Ladybug: (giggles) Look. While I'm catching this guy, Pixelator, I need you to stay put where no one would think to look for you.
Mr. Damocles: Hm. Ladybug, is this safe? This is a school.
"I love how he assumes people would actually WANT to hang out at school!" Nino snorted.
"Ahem?" Miss Bustier raised her eyebrows.
He grinned nervously. "I mean...isn't school awesome?"
Ladybug: Yes! Pixelator would never imagine his idol would actually want a day out at school.
Mr. Damocles: Hmm?
Ladybug: (nervously) I mean, isn't school awesome?
Marinette smiled. "We said the same thing."
"Yup!" Nino laughed.
Adrien looked confused. "But school is fun!"
The class stared at him. The teacher beamed.
"What?" He asked when he saw everyone staring.
"Nothing, just continue to enjoy your life, sunshine," Alix teased.
Jagged Stone: This is ridiculous. I don't have time for this. First, I get practically hijacked by this crazed fan, and then, I'm attacked by some super weirdo, then…
"Believe me, Jagged Stone. I have a weirder life," Marinette smirked.
"How so?" Adrien asked.
"Um, well," Marinette rolled her eyes. "In case you haven't noticed, I'm part of the weirdest love square that's ever been created."
Adrien grinned. "You and me both, M'Lady."
Ladybug: Wait. What do you know about this crazed fan?
Jagged Stone: He's come to every one of my shows this year. He's also sent me stacks of letters, gone through my trash, he even followed my mother to her weekly bingo night!
Ladybug: How creepy.
"Says YOU!" Adrien smirked. Marinette went red.
"Okay, I'm not THAT obsessed!" she said defensively.
Jagged Stone: Uh, not really, it's just a bunch of elderly ladies getting together having fun.
Adrien laughed. "I'm not sure she was talking about that."
Ladybug: (Uses her yo-yo as a phone to find Vincent's number. She finds it difficult, her arm being digitized. So she types with her nose and chin)
"That must be a nightmare," said Alya.
"Oh yeah, it definitely was. Eventually my leg became digitized too."
"What?!"
Ladybug: Vincent... Aza. (The phone finds him) Got his address.
Alya's mouth fell open. "You're telling me you can stalk anyone you want to using that bug phone?"
"Yeah, what's your point?" Marinette smirked.
Jagged Stone: You're not gonna leave me here, are you?
Mr. Damocles: Hmm?
Jagged Stone: I mean, isn't school awesome?
Miss Bustier rolled her eyes over the roaring laughter of her class.
Scene: The blank space.
Chloé: Daddy! Daddy!
Adrien: Plagg, I gotta find some way to transform.
Plagg: Come on, what's the rush?
"Plagg!" Tikki rolled her eyes.
(Adrien looks at him angry)
Plagg: Fine. If you insist, at least find me some cheese.
Adrien: (sees Chloé) I'm gonna see if there's a way out down there. Don't go anywhere. Could be dangerous.
Chloé: Dangerous?
Adrien: You're not scared, are you? (smirks)
"Careful, boy. You're letting your Chat Noir show," Alya smirked.
"Nah, he's always been like that," Chloe admitted.
"I thought he was supposed to be a cinnamon roll."
"They have exceptions at times."
Chloé: Scared, moi? As if! No way!
"Two second later," Marinette muttered so only Adrien could hear. He tried not to laugh.
(Adrien chuckles and runs to find a way out by leaving Chloé behind then she screams by jumping on his head by pointing at Jagged Stone's alligator Fang who just appeared. Adrien winces and widens his eyes.)
At that point, there were really no other words for how hard everyone was laughing.
"Marinette, now do you believe we're having lots of fun?" Adrien teased, smirking at her.
Marinette shoved him.
Scene: The Champs-Élysées. Pixelator still looks for Jagged Stone
Hawk Moth: Ah, the Champs-Élysées. Perfect. May the photoshoot begin.
(Pixelator starts zapping people)
"Poor innocent civillians," Mylene shook her head.
Scene: Vincent Aza's room. Ladybug sees a lot of photos of Jagged Stone on the walls.
Ladybug: Oh, this isn't creepy at all.
(Suddenly, she sees photos of people who look familiar. She sees Chloé and Adrien)
Chloé: Ahhhh!
Adrien: Ladybug?
Ladybug: What are you two doing there?
"How does that even work?"
Chloé: Ladybug! Remember me? Your biggest fan? Please, please get us out of here. It's terrible in here! (Chloe is holding Adrien's arm while he sighs and chuckles a little) I mean, it's only terrible when you're not around.
Ladybug: *growls*
Adrien laughed. "Someone has a temper.."
Théo: Over here, Ladybug!
Mireille: Help... Ladybug!
"WAIT!" Alya looked disgusted. "Isn't that the guy who had a crush on you? Why is he with Mirelle? Isn't she like..a teenager?"
"Ew, you're right..that's gross. I'm gonna investigate that when I get back."
Ladybug: What happened to you?
Théo: It's terrible, this man, he... took a photo of us and we ended up trapped in here!
Mireille: While we were just simply strolling the Champs-Élysées!
Ladybug: I sure hope Cat Noir's there already!
"Nah, you just saw him," Adrien laughed.
Scene: The Champs-Élysées. Pixelator zaps people. He sees Nadja Chamack
Nadja: Excuse me, sir, sir? Care for an interview with the reporter who spreads the villains' voice?
"You gotta admire her bravery even though it's risky," said Alya.
Scene: Mr. Damocles' office. Damocles and Jagged Stone watch the interview
Pixelator: I will continue my photoshoot until Jagged Stone turns up here in the flesh! Where are you, Jagged? Your biggest fan awaits you! All I want is one photo! Otherwise, soon, the people of Paris will be nothing but memories. (zaps Nadja and the camera man) Hahahahahaha!
"That's really pleasant.."
Mr. Damocles: This is terrible!
Jagged Stone: I've got to do what Pixelator says!
Mr. Damocles: Surely, you can't be serious! It's dangerous out there!
Jagged Stone: Who cares about danger? Jagged Stone can turn down a television appearance! Just imagine what it would do for my career!
Everyone facepalmed.
Marinette groaned. "Seriously, does nobody have any common sense?"
Adrien coughed. "Look who's speaking.." Marinette shot him a glare.
Scene: The Champs-Élysées. The police has arrived to stop Pixelator. Roger Raincomprix appears, but Pixelator zaps him.
Ladybug: Got an itchy trigger finger, eh?
"Woohoo!"
Pixelator: I was expecting you, Ladybug.
(Starts zapping her, but she dodges. She hides under a car, but Pixelator finds her)
Pixelator: Look into the lens!
(Pixelator still zaps her, but she dodges. She runs away from the zaps. She sees a lamppost, and she tries to grab it with her yo-yo, but she falls. Pixelator has her cornered)
Ladybug: I have a proposition to make! If you free those innocent people, I'll organize a photoshoot with Jagged Stone!
"You're lying," Chloe said, as though it was obvious. Well, probably because it was.
"Ding ding ding!"
Hawk Moth: No! Don't listen to her! She's trying to trick you!
"Well, at least he has SOME common sense," Chloe huffed.
Pixelator: Why should I believe you, Ladybug?
Ladybug: Because you have no choice. I'm the only one who knows where Jagged is.
Pixelator: How about I free half of them now and the other half after the photoshoot. Deal?
Ladybug: 'kay. It's a deal. Yeah, right…
"How did he not hear that?" Alya shook her head. "Maybe he was distracted or something."
Marinette nodded. "Probably."
(Pixelator starts freeing people, including Adrien and Chloé, who end up in the Hotel. Nino is reading his Math book, and he sees them)
Nino: Dudes! You just scared me!
Adrien: (sees the TV) Fill in for me, will you Nino?
Nino: What do you think I've been doing this whole time?
Nino grinned. "A thank you would be appreciated."
Adrien grinned sheepishly. "Thanks, dude."
(Fang appears in a room. Sabrina sees him and faints in fear)
"That was so creepy," Sabrina shuddered.
Scene: The streets. Adrien hides under a billboard.
Plagg: If you want my opinion, I think someone's been akumatized.
Adrien: I think you're right. But where's the akuma?
[Transformation Sequence ]
Adrien: Plagg, claws out! (Adrien transforms into Cat Noir)
Pixelator: I've kept my part of the deal, Ladybug, now bring me Jagged Stone!
"He's so stupid," said Chloe.
Ladybug: (sees Chat Noir) Pixelator, I know your akuma's inside your glasses!
"Oh wow, that's so smart!" Alya exclaimed. "An indirect way of telling him."
"How did you think of that?" asked Nino. "I thought you were a goner for sure."
"Honestly, I feel like I think better under pressure," Marinette admitted honestly.
Pixelator: Stop wasting time!
(Cat Noir is about to take his glasses off, but a civilian spots him.)
Civilian: Cat Noir! Woohoo!
Everyone falepalmed.
"Seriously, that happens SO often," Adrien said, annoyed. "It's really irritating."
"That really must be bummer," Alya nodded. "Civilians should really stop interfering."
Marinette rolled her eyes. "Look who's talking. But yeah, still...people in Paris are really stupid when we look at it from this point of view.."
(Pixelator whipps around and sees Cat Noir, and fights him. Pixelator throws him off)
Ladybug: Thanks for dropping in.
"Occasional puns get more laughs than puns every minute," Marinette grinned as her class laughed and Adrien's mouth flew open.
Cat Noir: (tries to take her hand, but realizes it's digitized) Not very handy, I see.
"HA, that was actually good!" Alix snickered.
"Actually yeah...handy...pfft, how do you even think of this stuff, Adrien?" Alya asked, amused.
"Speaking puns is like it's own language," said Adrien, smiling. "You must master the basics of punning, then you need to become fluent, and then-"
"Adrien?" Marinette broke in.
"Yeah?"
"Shut up."
Pixelator: What about our deal?
Hawk Moth: I told you she would betray you. Capture them already, I want their Miraculous!
"He sounds like a whiny two year old," Marinette rolled her eyes.
(Pixelator starts zapping them, but they dodge the zaps)
Ladybug: Together!
(Ladybug attacks Pixelator with her yo-yo, but fails. Cat Noir is about to fight him with his staff, but Pixelator zaps him)
Cat Noir: Ahh! Oh, not again…
"It's better than getting parts of your body digitized," Marinette told him.
Pixelator: When the cat's away, the mice will play. Ready to become immortalized?
Ladybug: Can't wait to live it up.
(Ladybug dodges Pixelator's zaps. But she trips and falls because of her digitized arm and leg. Ladybug jumps into a purple car and does a high jump, but falls.)
Pixelator: Look into the lens!
Jagged Stone: Hey there, Pixelator! I've heard you wanted my photo!
"Saved at the last minute!" Alya exclaimed.
Ladybug: Get out of here, Mr. Stone! (tries to follow him, but falls)
"Your leg and arm...wow, how did you even do anything with that?" Adrien looked amazed.
Marinette shrugged. "Actually, I just called up my lucky charm and threw it towards you...then you hit it."
Jagged Stone: It's me you wanted all this time, wight? Well, here I am. In the flesh.
"He's pretty brave," Marinette admitted. "Or maybe that's just because he wants to make a television appearance.."
Pixelator: Look into the lens...
Jagged Stone: Wait, wrong side. This isn't my best angle. No, no, wait. The lighting's all wrong. Does my nose look shorter this way? Oh, I know, this is better.
Pixelator: Ugh... Hurry up already!
"He's buying you time," Mylene noticed. "Smart!"
"I never thanked him, but I should have," said Marinette.
Ladybug: Lucky Charm! (a powder compact appears) A powder compact?
Jagged Stone: There, I think I'm ready.
Pixelator: No more moving! Look into the lens!
Ladybug: Don't do it, Mr. Stone!
Cat Noir: Cataclysm! (uses his Cataclysm to make a crack in the black space, freeing the people trapped in the photos)
"Having your superpower destroy anything you touch comes in handy sometimes," Adrien grinned.
Plagg nodded. "Yeah, talk about a cata-"
"PLAGG!" Tikki interrupted. "Don't say it out loud, you'll trigger it!"
"So?"
Tikki raised her eyebrows. "You remember the dinosaurs, don't you?"
Plagg nervously laughed. "All right, fine.."
Everyone yelped.
"Wait, what?!" Alya's eyes were wide. "No way! Dinosaurs-"
"Let's just WATCH THE EPISODE!" Plagg said, hastily changing the topic.
Pixelator: Come on, open your eyes.
(Ladybug sees Cat Noir, uses her vision, and Cat Noir's staff and the powder compact flash)
Ladybug: Batter up! (throws the compact)
Cat Noir hits the compact with his staff, and it reflects Pixelator's beam, zapping him)
Pixelator: Huh... How did... Huh?
"How did you plan it right at that moment?" asked Alya, amazed. "Ya'll are freaking awesome!"
"Thanks!" said Marinette. "With a bit of luck and a bit of skills..I do have the Ladybug miraculous after all."
Hawk Moth: Next time I assure you it won't be a photo finish! I won't stop, Ladybug! I'll destroy you!
Ladybug: Miraculous Ladybug! (Throws the Lucky Charm into the air, turning everything back to normal. She crushes Pixelator's visor, freeing the akuma) No more evildoing for you, little akuma. Time to de-evilize! (Catches the akuma with her yo-yo) Gotcha! (releases the akuma, turning it into a normal butterfly) Bye bye, little butterfly.
(The Pixelator is brought back and turned back into Vincent)
Vincent: Huh? What happened? Where am I?
Ladybug & Cat Noir: Pound it!
Scene: Le Grand Paris. Ms. Bustier thanks Mr. Bourgeois for the field trip.
Ms. Bustier: Thank you very much for this work experience day, Mr. Bourgeois. I'm sure we'll all remember it for a long time to come.
"Yeah, really long," Marinette grinned at Chloe, who scowled.
Mr. Bourgeois: So do I. Oh, wait, I almost forgot. Jagged Stone's giving a concert tonight, so, I'm giving tickets to the students who demonstrated the greatest effort today.
(Penny begins handing out tickets. Chloe is expectantly holding her hand out, but she skips Chloe and gives it to Marinette, Alya, and Adrien.)
Chloé: Ridiculous! Utterly ridiculous!
Chloe turned red. "How come I didn't get a ticket?"
Alix snorted. "Um, because it was for people who demonstrated the greatest effort?"
Marinette laughed. "All you did was flirt with Adrien."
Adrien shrugged. "Sorry Chloe, I can't argue with that."
Chloe sighed. "I guess you're right."
Scene: Jagged Stone's Concert.
Jagged Stone: Good evening, Paris!
Adrien: It's my first live concert, ever! It's amazing!
Marinette: (Marinette grins) Yeah, amazing!
"Get a hold of yourself, girl!" Alya laughed.
Jagged Stone: I'd like to dedicate this song to the girl who saved my life. This one's for you, Ladybug.
"Wow, Marinette! Jagged Stone wrote a song for YOU! Do you realize that, girl?" ALya said excitedly. "THE Jagged Stone wrote a song dedicated to YOU!"
"Woah that's like, awesome!" Nino exclaimed.
Marinette blushed. "Yeah, I was so surprised too. But it's not like anyone knew I was actually Ladybug."
(Jagged Stone plays the song that's dedicated to Ladybug which makes Marinette happy)
THE END.
"You look like it was the happiest moment of your life!" Adrien laughed.
"It was," Marinette said. "Well, second most anyways. First was when we revealed our identities, the second time I mean."
Adrien looked confused. "Huh?"
"No! I mean, sorry I just meant that...yeah, this was the only time but it was my favorite moment anyways," she said quickly, forcing a smile.
"Hey wait, isn't that the theme song he's playing?" Alix said, shushing them. "Listen closely."
"Oh yeah, it is!" Rose exclaimed. "That's so cool!"
"Well, that was a good episode. What's next?" Kim asked.
"Guitar Villain I think."
"Great, play it."
