Chapter 33

Ash and Lillie are now at the Johto Region, they are heading towards the Ilex Forest as they are going to find Celebi. He has Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Lugia and Ho-Oh besides Pikachu, Lucario, Gabena and Sceptile. Once they finally arrive at the shrine, Lillie says, "This must be it."

"And Team Rocket is not here yet, so we must return Celebi before they even lay a finger on it." Ash says as Lillie takes out the GS Ball. She places it in front of the shrine and then she mutters the words that are the chant of summoning. Once it is done, Celebi comes from the door to the world as she flies around the group.

"Ash, it is nice to see you again." Celebi nuzzles the trainer and Ash says, "Celebi, good to see you, as you can see, we are here for a mission and it is associated with Team Rocket."

Celebi tilts her head, but just then, a net appear out of nowhere as Celebi is trapped inside. "What the..."

"I know it would be a good idea to follow you two." They turn around and see no other than Giovanni in front of them. Ash says, "Giovanni..."

"Never knew that it would be Red's son and Lusamine's daughter that comes here." Giovanni says. "But it doesn't matter, we got what we needed. Celebi, with the power of time, would be beneficial to Team Rocket."

"Like we will let you get away with it." Ash says as he takes out the Whip of Grass, he tries to use the Power Whip, but Giovanni takes out a sword and a protect appears. "No way..."

Giovanni says, "You seem to be a perfect Aura Guardian, but I am as well." Then he shoots out the Hyper Beam, hitting Ash to the ground.

"Ash!" Lillie yells in horror as she rushes to him. Giovanni turns to his team and says, "Our work here is done, we should leave before they are going to attack us."

"Yes, boss." As Giovanni is going to leave with Celebi in his net, Ash says, "You are not leaving, Ho-Oh, I choose you."

"Lugia, you too!" As the two Legendary Birds appear, Ash yells, "Scared Fire!" Lillie yells, "Aeroblast!"

Both Pokemon shoot out their powerful attack as the helicopter falls down to the ground, Giovanni grits his teeth and says, "Those kids never learn how to give up."

After Ash rides Raikou and Lillie rides Entei, they follow Suicune to find the helicopter remains and then they see Giovanni there. "You even have five Legendaries to assist you, huh?"

"Let go of Celebi, or you are going to face the consequences." Lillie says.

"You two are perfect humans that can lead the world, how about I offer you a deal, join Team Rocket, and we could rule the world together."

"And you think we will agree to that?" Ash says, "You separated my family, and you are not going to get away with this."

"Then so be it." Giovanni sends out his army of Grass Type Pokemon, namely Victreebel, Cacturne, Carnivine, Ferrothron, Gourgeist and Shiinotic, Ash asks the five Legendaries to handle the Pokemon. After the great battle, Ash's Pokemon remain victorious and Giovanni stares at his fallen Pokemon in shock.

"It doesn't matter I win or not." Giovanni says as he tosses the net that contains the Celebi. Ash grabs it and then another helicopter appears, Giovanni jumps into it and says, "This is only the first step. And your doom will be around the corner." Then he leaves their sight as Lillie asks, "Should we chase them?"

"No, we should heal Celebi first. She must be injured."

Once they are Teleported back to the Galar Region, they give the Celebi to Tox as he helps healing the Pokemon. "How is Celebi, Tox?"

"It should be fine after resting. But what happened and how did she get into this kind of state?"

"Team Rocket's leader. But something is not right, we battled him, but from what he said, all we did just to buy him some time. Some time for what?" Ash says.

"And he even return Celebi back. I have a bad feeling for this."

Celebi wakes up a little and then she says, "Ash..."

Ash rushes towards Celebi and asks, "How are you feeling?"

"Awful...I see a vision...the world would turn to Ashes, you have to stop what Giovanni is planning." Celebi says.

"Did he do something to you? And how are we going to stop him?" Lillie asks in worry.

Celebi shakes her head and says, "He didn't do anything to me, I am not sure how to stop him, but I think it is going to be related to all of us Legendaries."

Arceus says, "If that is true...maybe what Team Rocket is after is not the Pokemon itself...but what?"

Ash says, "We will encounter him again, and I realize that his aura is another level compared to us... I think it would be hard for us to defeat him alone."

"You're right." Lillie says. "How about we go somewhere to rest? I mean, we did destroy one of Giovanni's helicopters, surely he wouldn't be that quick to find another Legendary."

"You're right." Ash says as they go to find the others as they are going to tell them about something else.

Back in the Rocket Base, Giovanni is standing behind Dr. Zager, he says, "Doctor, how is the work?"

"It is going well. Thanks to the data, we would be finished it in no time." Zager says.

"Indeed. We have already lose a lot of members to those two, and we are not going to take any more chances if facing them." Giovanni says as he looks at what seems to be a shell of a Celebi. "But as long as they didn't know our plan, it would be safe."

Here is the first part of the battle against Team Rocket. As you can see, the Grass Type Pokemon Giovanni is after is Celebi. But he isn't going to capture it, but rather something else. Will Ash and Lillie face the visions from Celebi?
