The Sports Festival was only the day after Izuku had finished his project, and very much hoped that Momo had finished her end, since he'd be going into it with one arm if she hadn't.

As he got to school, he was greeted by the girl, who quickly pulled his new arm out from her bag. After breaking off a bit more crystal to make sure it wouldn't be too long, he attached the arm to himself and flexed his fingers. It worked as if it had always been his arm, thanks to Momo prepping it with the piece of crystal he loaned her.

The design of the arm was much more muted than his right, with eight silvery panels of only slightly varying color running the length of the arm, two attaching to each finger or thumb, with the middle finger being separated from the others. The pad of the middle finger had a small opening along with a ridged cylinder, and the palm of the hand was a separate silver panel with seven holes about a quarter inch wide, arranged in a hexagon pattern with the seventh hole in the center.

The arm looked exactly as he had designed it, and he thanked Momo for making it for him on such short notice, but with the Sports Festival starting in only a few hours, he had no time to actually test the functionality of it.

As they got dressed in their gym uniforms, since costumes were banned during the tournament to give the students who weren't in the heroics course and didn't have costumes less of a disadvantage.

Noticing that Izuku was still strapping his sword to his belt, Kirishima approached him.

"Hey man, you know we aren't supposed to bring items with us unless they're part of our quirk, right?"

"Yeah, I got this one approved by the principal, as long as I don't actually cut anyone with it, I'm allowed to keep it!" Kirishima nodded at this, before noticing the silver gleam of Izuku's new arm.

"Woah, what does this thing do?" Kirishima asked, holding Izuku's hand up in his to inspect it.

"I guess you'll just have to wait and see, huh?" Izuku gave Kirishima a teasing smirk, before Todoroki pushed his way forwards until he was directly in front of Izuku.

"...Objectively, I think I'm stronger than you. You may-" Izuku interjected here.

"If you use both halves of your power, then yes, maybe you are stronger. But if you want to beat me, you WILL have to stop holding back." Izuku didn't know why Todoroki never used his fire, but he knew that all Todoroki would be doing would be making himself a worse hero by never utilizing half his power.

The class walked out as a whole onto the field in the middle of the stadium, as Present Mic provided color commentary, along with Aizawa. Midnight, another one of the class' teachers, was at a podium in the center, and called out "And now for a speech from the Student Representative of the first year students, Izuku Midoriya!"

Izuku made it halfway to the podium before he realized... wait what speech? No one had told him he had to do a speech, shouldn't Aizawa have... oh. This was part of his punishment for illegally fighting Stain. He'd just have to come up with a speech before he made it to the podium.

As Izuku stepped up to the mic, he cleared his throat and began. "You know, everyone always told me I could never be a hero. That because my power made me weak, that I would only be a hindrance to other heroes. But as you can tell, they were wrong. It doesn't matter what power you have, or even if you have no power at all, because being a hero isn't about power, being a hero is a mindset. If you have the ability to risk your life to help the people around you, and choose to act on that ability, you are a hero, no matter what anyone else says. Everyone here today, even those in the Business and Support Courses, are all capable of being heroes, and so are all of you. Plus Ultra!"

Izuku stepped down from the podium to the cheers of the crowd, all yelling the U.A. motto, and took his place back with his classmates, ready for the Festival to begin.
