"Mmm fuck my head, huh? Where am i?"
"You're in the Ice Palace, home to King Simon and Queen Betty." said a voice hidden away in the shadows.
"Who said that, reveal yourself!" the being said looking back and forth around the room not seeing anyone.
"Down here bud." wobbling in from the shadows wearing an executioner's mask and wielding a whip was Orgalorg.
"A talking penguin? Not the strangest thing I've witnessed." said the man rubbing the back of his head staring down at the penguin. "Why am i imprisoned? The last thing I remember was fighting Jormungand and falling to his poison…" he shivered remembering how he felt the poison slowly eating away at his body.
"So then that means… You're Thor?" another voice coming from the shadows.
"Yes I was supposed to be in Hel… but I wasn't sent there when I died, wait where was I sent?" Thor said holding onto his head trying to remember what had happened in his after life. "Wait.. father!" Thor said panicking "Mortals what year is it?" He demanded to know.
"It's too late Thor… it's been well over thousands of years since Ragnarok happened." Simon said walking in from the shadows and Betty turning on the lights.
"The only reason you are here right now is because of that stone in your eye socket." Betty said, joining Simon's side. "My eye..socket?" Thor said touching his right eye.. "Bastard snake took it with it…"
"We need to tell Finn and the others, he doesn't seem to remember but I've got a bad feeling about this" Simon said looking over at Betty, his face full of worry, hoping he isn't right on the matter.
"Orgalorg be a dear and tell the others we're taking a trip.. to the night-o-sphere" said Betty heading to the royal ice armoury.
"T The night-o-sphere?! Do you mortals have a death wish!?" Thor said going up to the iron bars and bending them.
"Hey hey! That's expensive to fix!" yelled Orgalorg whipping the bars.
"Oh uh my apologies. But you're messing with forces you do not know of! That's home to lord evil you'll bring ruin to this realm and I am not prepared to die again!?" Thor said as he bent the bars back in place.
" He's given up on that.. Probably" Simon said, opening to the door to the cell.
"HE is the most evil being in the realms of Hell, I highly doubt he has." Thor said casually walking out of the cell.
"I don't know man, I heard the Lich was way worse than him" Betty said shrugging and walking out of the torture room, while Orgalorg just casually puts away his torture devices. "Anyway his daughter is dating one of the heroes of this time so he can't be all bad."
"Wait lord evil has a daughter? And who is this Lich?"
"Oh yeah get ready for this she's part demon part human and part vampire i raised her myself kind of.." Simon said remembering what the crown had done to him a sad expression with a bitter sweet smile on his face. "And the lich.. Was the last scholar of GOLB."
"He mated with a vampire? Thor said curiously. "Humans are vampire food thought? He said stroking his beard.
"Oh no she was human and turned into a vampire" Simon said, getting some bug milk and preparing the portal as they chatted away.
"Human you say? The lord evil had a sweet spot for humans, interesting." Thor said
"That's what I said man. He's a goofy guy but scary when he wants to be, I doubt he wants to take over the world anymore since this is his daughter's home. Plus he's looking for a way to revive his girlfriend although technically she isn't dead more like frozen in time"
"Interesting… Simon? Was it? If you don't mind me asking.. What has happened to my father and Asgard?" Thor said preparing himself for the worst case scenario.
"Vidar and a few other gods Vali, Baldur, Hodr, and your sons Modi and Magni survived the downfall of the old world, and live joyously in a new one. A man and a woman, Lif and Lifthrasir had hidden themselves from the cataclysm in a place called the "Wood of Hoddminir" and had come out and populated the lush land in which they found themselves, unfortunately they inhabit another realm many of the surviving gods went with them, few stayed in hopes of finding survivors. A new sun, the daughter of the previous one, rose in the sky, and well here we are now thousands of years into the future." said Brokk walking into the kitchen. "It's been a long time Thor." Eitri and Sindri following behind him
"Thor!" Eitri and Sindri yelled, rushing in and hugging the ancient god.
"Brokk, Eitri and Sindri old friends! You survived Ragnarok!" Thor said hugging the three brothers, Finn and Marceline floating in shortly after.
"Ah the whole gang's here. You guys ready?" Simon said chanting the words and opening the portal walking in.
"Wait stop no!" Thor yelled resisting the brothers but they started to force Thor thru the portal"
"Quit being a baby Thor it's a new adventure" Brokk said laughing.
"So that's Thor huh. Looks like a normal man to me." Finn said with his hands behind his head floating into the portal.
"Seems like a wimp to me" Marceline said floating in after Finn.
"How dare you call me a wimp!" Thor said glaring at Marceline.
"Simon is that Lord Evils daughter?" Thor said as he's dragged away forgetting that he is being dragged into lord evil's realm.
"Yep that's her alright." Simon said, nodding already walking to Abadeers house.
"Mjölnir to m...!" Thor yelled but was too late the portal closed before he could finish. "How are you people so calm! WHY ARE YOU HEADED TO YOUR DOOM!"
"Calm down Thor. Abadeer is harmless." Brokk said his face saying otherwise.
"Yeah man he's cool once you get to know him" Finn said holding onto Marceline's hand. Tryna kept his cool after what had happened when he went into the night-o-sphere alone.
"Im Cool"?" Abadeer said, walking with the group as they head to his house.
"Yeah man yo.." Finn let out a terrified yell and then the group besides Marceline began to yell in horror. "Don't do that!" The group yelled trying to calm themselves down.
"Uhuh. FINN YOU DARE BRING GODS INTO MY REALM!" Abadeer said turning into his freakish monster form and looking at the group. "Oh it's just you guys, Pfft. Hello Marcie." said Abadeer turning back and floating past the group and into his house. "Well don't just stand there. The cold air will slip out."
Abadeer was Sporting his signature boxer briefs, a white tank top, red boots and his sandwich. "I wasn't expecting guests. All I have is water, the blood of my enemies, kool aid and lemon aid.
We need to talk with you. " Simon said, pouring a glass of lemonade for himself and Betty. "With all of you" he said, turning to face the group.
In the vatican we found some enchanted items. 3 of which were extremely powerful and created by death itself. Simon said bringing out 2 of the items and placing them on the table. "And we found the golden Chalice." He said, handing it to Finn. Finn, I'm sure you read Harry Potter when you locked yourself up in our library " Simon said, adjusting his glasses and taking a sip of his lemonade.
Sorry to interrupt but may I have some of that kool aid? Thor said "I haven't had a drop of water since i've been brought back to life. Simon paused and rubbed the bridge of his nose. "Surre have some Kool Aid" Said Abadeer chuckling a bit.
"Anyway, We took these items to the grandmaster to see what he could tell us about them. Apparently Harry Potter was in fact not just a story." he said and then points at Thor. "We were attacked by him when we got to the golden chalice, but thankfully Gunthur used the reviving stone on Thor before he could do anything to us. What ever commanded him before his resurrection didn't want Finn to be immortal again." Simon said looking over at Abadeer. "What was that thing?" Simon said looking at the demon who was enjoying his manwich.
"Haaa, we have got ourselves into a big mess." He gets up and instantly changes back into his suit with his amulet around his neck getting all serious like. "Yes I know what that was, very well in fact." Abadeer said standing in front of the group." As you all know I am Lord of Evil controller and ruler of all chaotic evil in existence. In this aspect I am number 1 but what you don't know is The lord of Good, he vanished soon after the world had fallen into chaos. The lord of good was my other half as yin and yang rules the laws of existence the ruler of all chaotic good. One cannot exist without the other. Without the both of us Chaos Runs rampant. Golb… Pure unrefined chaos has been struggling to free itself from its prison since the beginning of time." Hunson said " We have to find the lord of good before it's too late. If he has died we must replace him, and from the looks of it.. He might have died since golb is moving around like this or something must have happened to him. I.. don't know how he did it" Abadeer looks at Thor." But you had become another of his scholars."
Thor turned pale as the group looked over at him, a fraction of his memories returned. He was stuck in an endless void consistalty suffocating and gasping for air, slithering could be heard just shy of where he was, and something scaly would brush upon his leg or arm every now and then. He could feel the poison from his battle with Jormungand slowly eating away at his flesh, his senses increased from not being able to see. He wished he could die for thousands of years; he suffered this fate and then 4 giant glowing eyes appeared before him. "You shall be my new champion" the voice sent chills down his spine and then everything went numb.
"Thor?" said Brokk, placing a hand on his shoulder. Thor snapped back from whatever he was thinking, sweat running down his forehead. He sat down weakly on one of the chairs and grabbed his forehead breathing quickly. "What's wrong Thor is everything ok?" Brokk said, giving him a worried look. The group was all staring at Thor with concern.
"Yes golb.." he said, his face full of fear. "I wasn't sent to hel when I died, and I fear what happened to me has also happened to the rest of the norse gods." He said his hands on his face. " You guys were lucky to have this stone.: He said, rubbing his eyepatch" But there is only one of these and many of them. We the norse gods are not immortal but eternally youthful thanks to golden apples in Asgard, dying in battle was our greatest honor but.. The torture I suffered after death.." Thor said getting up and taking the chalice from Abadeer. Pouring the rest of the kool aid into it and takes a deep breath before inserting his fingers into the socket taking the reviving stone out, his flesh slow started to rot away and red energy surged from the eye, he quickly chugged down everything in the chalice and a bright gold light over came the red energy his flesh quickly healing from what he had done. The group all looked at each other speechless and back at thor. "This is the only way we have of reviving any scholar that Golb sends at the moment and I'd rather not die again. No honor will force me to go back to that place again and we are going to need it in this upcoming battle, as well as the power of the chalice." He said sitting back down and taking deep breaths trying to calm himself down. Brokk and his brother placed their hand on his back.
"Yes well.." Abadeer says, taking the chalice from Thor and filling it with pure water.. "Finn for whatever reason Golb doesn't want you to become an immortal again. You might be the key to finding the lord of good. " Abadeer said, handing the chalice to Finn.
Finn looks at the chalice and back at Marceline. She smiles and nods at him. " Fine, I'll do my best to find whoever this lord of good is. He says drinking the entire liquid in the chalice. He didnt feel anything different but that could be because he has already been introduced to being immortal before, he inspected his body but everything seemed the same " I don't feel anything different" He says looking at his hands. Abadeer takes the human's hands and cuts his wrist with his nails, blood flowed out slowly covering the wound and then instantly returned into his body sealing the wound as if nothing had happened." Yeah but that could be the philosopher's stone power." Finn said and then looked back at Brokk."btw how do I use this thing properly? "Brokk and his brothers looked at Finn and laughed. "Nothings ever boring when you're around boy." "No that was something else" Abadeer said, interrupting their laughter. "Red energy would have fixed it, besides from what you told us the truth had taken the immortality granted by the stone.
"Ooooh that's what he was talking about ok that makes sense." Finn said rubbing the back of his head. "Yeah he said the cost of this knowledge was the rest of my arm and my immortality but i don't remember ever having it. I can fix any wounds and rejuvenate myself but I could still be killed if hit in the heart."
"So is this a mission to save all the realms?" Thor said pouring himself another glass of koolaid "Indeed it is and this mission is extremely important we could use your help Thor." Hunson said, extending his arm.
"Of course anything to keep that thing and his realm locked away, but I must return to Asgard." he said, taking another sip. "I must gather the remaining gods for what is to come, and we must get to the " Brokk placed a hand on Thor's back. "Thor...asgard is in ruins... and the bridge has been broken. What of the other gods and those humans in… oh they have left this realm as well?" Thor said his hand balling up into a fist. Brokk placed a hand on his back. " A few of the remaining norse gods still live on earth but are scattered all over the realm. Without Bifrost there is no way of contacting them all or returning to the ruins of asgard.
"Where does the Bifrost connect to the earth? Maybe we can fix it?" Finn said, rubbing his chin.
In Denmark.. "Said Brokk"
"Ah yes Denmark the Asgardian territory." Thor said, stroking his beard.
Fine we need to gather supplies and a crew well set off to Denmark in 2 days" The group starts to talk amongst themselves forming battle plans and items they need to gather. Finn walks over to hunson and marceline with the golden chalice in hand. "I think it's time." Finn said, pouring some more of the water into the chalice."I think you should be the one to wake up your mom Marceline. She takes the chalice and stares at it for the longest time, she starts to tear up and the group follows them to the underground temple where Abadeer keeps the waters for no time.
As they approach the waters of no time, their friends see this sight for the first time since they heard about it. Abadeer transformed into his larger monstrous form walks behind the waters, his tentacles start wrapping around the 2 massive pillars and he starts to force them down into the ground, lowering the waters. Marceline walks up to the massive orb and places her hand on it smiling at the pale brown figure in the waters. " It's time for you to wake up mom, You no longer have to sleep, come back to us to the land of the living." She says tearing up with a big smile.
Suddenly a massive black line appeared behind Abadeer; it was the same as Simon had seen in his castle when they first met up with Abadeer and encountered the 4 eyes that struck fear like he had known before. "All Human Souls Belong To MEE" could be heard coming from the portal. " ALL OF THEM SHALL BE MINE AND NONE SHALL REMAIN ALIVE" the voice got louder and the whole night-o-sphere shook.
This is my realm Golb! "Abadeer shrieked, turning larger and darker than ever before. "You may not do as you please here!" He says taking a hold of the corners of the void and starting to close the portal. 4 massive yellow eyes appeared in front of him and started to glow red. "My scholars shall deal with you ABADEER " Golb said and a marching of skeletal beings started to crawl their way out of the void, their sharp claws digging into abadeers hands and legs.
Thor ran his way swiftly to Abadeers side, dropping, kicking and punching the skeletal beings crushing their bones and turning them into dust. "AH HA HA Finally some action!" Thor said taking out skeleton after skeleton, fear no longer in him but warriors spirit, he was after all a mighty warrior .
"Marceline you need to quickly make your mother immortal" Finn said drawing his sword. "We don't have much time ill cover you" Said Finn smashing and crushing bones as skeletons rushed in from the portal. Betty, Simon, Brokk, Eitri and Sindri all rushed to help Abadeer close the portal.
Marceline quickly started to transform into her large demon form and reached in one hand grabbing her mother from the waters and quickly making her drink from the chalice, her body glew a faint yellow the color of her skin started to return to normal her heartbeat started to beat faster as she gasped for air and coughed up water.
"A large shrieking NOOOOOOO could be heard from the portal and started to shake the night o sphere violently.
"THE HUMANS BELONG TO ME" Golb yelled and the portal grew larger. Thor unexpectedly got hit in the jaw, and skeletons started to flow in faster. Thor got up and started to rub his chin. "Who dares," he says standing up and notices something familiar about this skeleton. It was sporting golden armor and a long white beard. Thor inspected the armor and it snapped back into his memory. "Father" he said, his hand clenching into fists. He quickly backs away "Where's my hammer when i need it. " He says frustrated. "Any weapons I could use here?" He yells out to abadeer who was struggling to keep the portal close. "Kinda busy at the moment" Abadeer said using all his strength the portal stopped growing but isn't budging anymore. Odin started to rush at Thor, their fists colliding, and another skeleton wearing a golden helmet with 2 large horns and long black hair suddenly came from underneath Odin and upper cutted Thor sending him flying on his back. "Loki" Thor said angrily since he had been one of the people responsible for Ragnarok…
