It took Emma a moment to realize someone was standing outside of her door. She had been sound asleep until she heard someone knocking on the hotel room door. Though Emma was still half-asleep, she managed to pull the bed covers off herself and pull herself out of the bed. Emma slowly walked to the door, not even thinking about who it could be. She didn't even ask who it was before opening the door, due to how tired she still was. When she opened the door, however, Emma immediately felt much more awake. When she opened the door, Emma came face to face with the blond boy she had fought with earlier. Now, however, he was holding a red rose in his hands, and his face showed no sign of anger any longer.

"Hey." Ross started, trying to give a small smile. Emma looked at the boy, unsure what to say or do. "Here." He said, handing her the rose. Emma looked at it for a minute, then took it. She looked at the rose then looked at Ross. "Thanks." Emma managed to say, trying to smile as well. Ross's smile faded a little as he spoke up again. "I'm so... so sorry." He told her, his face filled with sadness and guilt. "I shouldn't have said any of the things I did say. And... I really hope you can forgive me, because I can't forgive myself for saying those things to you."

Ross looked like he felt absolutely horrible. Emma couldn't stand seeing him like this. "Ross," Emma started. "Forgive yourself, because I forgive you." Emma told him, placing the hand that wasn't holding the rose gently on Ross's arm. "And I'm so sorry, too. I definitely shouldn't have said the things I said. And..." Emma looked Ross in the eyes. "I've gotten to know you well enough to know that everything I accused you of is completely untrue." Ross and Emma just looked at each other for a moment, then Ross's smile began to return. Emma smiled back, happy to see the Ross she had gotten to know and like return back to her.

"Emma," Ross started. "Let's not fight anymore, okay?" Emma giggled, then nodded. "Sounds good." Ross smiled back; it was that perfect smile that she had seen the day she met Ross. She liked that smile. "So," Ross told Emma. "Sorry about waking you up. I have to be to rehearsal in a few." Emma laughed. "Don't worry about it. I probably would have slept through the rest of the day if no one woke me up. And I have stuff to take care of before the party, so it's probably a good thing I'm up a little early." Emma told Ross, thinking of the things she would need to accomplish before the party later that day. 'Good thing Ross and I aren't fighting any more, because who knows if I would have been invited to the party if we still were.' Emma thought. "Speaking of the party," Ross started, "that brings me to the second reason I'm here." Ross looked at Emma and just smiled. Emma wondered just what was on Ross's mind. "I was wondering... if I could escort you to the party tonight?" Emma began to smile once again. "Look, I know you don't want to date me. But I just thought we could hang out. Well, we can hang out while I'm not performing, that is." Emma had completely forgotten that Ross and the rest of R5 would be performing at the party tonight. 'Whoa.' Emma thought. 'Does this mean I'll get to be the date of one of the boys that this whole party is for?' Emma tried to remain calm as she responded to Ross's invitation. "Sure... yeah, that sounds really great." Ross smiled and nodded. "I have to be at the venue for most of the day, so I won't be able to pick you up before the party. Would you be okay with just meeting me there?" Ross started to laugh. "Sorry, I guess I really don't sound like much of an escort if I can't drive you, huh?" Emma laughed. It didn't bother her that she'd have to meet Ross at the party. It made it a little less like an actual date, which was probably a good thing. "Yeah, I can drive myself. No worries." she told him, then added, "So I guess I'll just meet you there, okay?" Ross nodded. Emma knew Ross should leave soon for rehearsal. Plus, she didn't want to get him into more trouble with his family than she had already caused. "Text me when you get there. I'll text you if anything changes." Ross glanced down the hallway, then back at Emma. "I guess I'd better go." Ross told Emma. Emma nodded and smiled. She looked into Ross's eyes before he began to walk away. "Wait." She said before wrapping her arms around Ross's waist. She gave the boy a light squeeze, and felt the boy return the hug. 'It's funny.' Emma thought. 'I missed this so much last night. I'm just glad Ross and I are no longer fighting.' Emma quietly told Ross, "I'm glad we're okay." Though she had her face against Ross's warm chest, she was pretty sure if she had looked up the boy would be smiling. "Me too." he told her, squeezing Emma a little bit tighter.

After a moment that Emma thought wasn't nearly long enough, Ross let go and said goodbye. Emma smiled as he walked away, and tried to remind herself that she'd see him later that day. When she saw Ross disappear out of the side door Emma had taken to get in the night before, Emma decided she'd better focus on all of the things she'd need to get done that day before going to the party.

Upon returning to her room, Emma noticed her cell phone screen was glowing and realized she'd received a text from Samantha, which had been sent late the night before. "Emma, I just wanted to make sure you were okay. I don't know what was going on earlier with you and Ross, but I hope everything is fine. By the way, I have some exciting news; Rocky asked me to be his date to the party!" Samantha finished her text message with a sideways smiley-face. Emma smiled at the sight of this exciting news, and responded. "That's so great, Samantha! And things are fine now, thanks for checking on me. Actually, Ross invited me to be his date tonight. Maybe since it sounds like we'll both be meeting our dates there, we should drive together. Want a ride?" Emma thought the company in her car may be a lot more enjoyable than arriving at the party alone. Plus, chances are the two boys that Emma and Samantha would be on the lookout for would be together. While Emma had her cell phone out, she decided she ought to send Rydel a quick text asking if she'd be able to come by any time that day to pick up the pair of shows that Rydel said she could borrow. Rydel responded pretty quickly with an upbeat message, and Emma wondered if Rydel was a morning person. "Of course! Feel free to come by anytime, my mom should be at home up until an hour or so before the party. I'll let her know that you're coming by! Oh, and don't be surprised if she offers you a matching clutch and jewelry and things like that! She's pretty good at that sort of thing." Rydel ended her message with a smiley-face just like Samantha's. Emma smiled at the message. She just couldn't wait to get dressed up and go have a great time that night, and she already knew the evening was going to be great.
