Sabrina leaned up against the picket fence, looking up at the house that stood detached from all other signs of life. She felt hot and sweaty surrounded by the balminess that graced the Memphis air that night. She closed her eyes and sighed deeply as she heard the screams come from the house. Opening them she was greeted with the sight of Klaus walking down the steps that led to the front porch.
"Must you do every time?" she asked crossing her arms as he stopped in front of her.
"Highway 41." It wasn't the response to her question.
"So I was right, it's near the border?" Klaus gave her a small nod. "I'm beginning to think your abilities are tied to that small little town. Still, you do have your uses."
Sabrina's vision were becoming less frequent and shorter in duration since they left Mystic Falls. The distance from the town changed the way she saw things. What was once a seamless transition of moments was now a few seconds of staggered images and echoes that caused the girl to get intense migraines.
"Are we done here, can we go?" Boredom laced her tone.
"Why the rush love, Elijah isn't going anywhere."
The smirk following his comment created a sinking feeling in her stomach. Confusion and anxiousness covered as face.
She'd taken every step to be careful and so far was doing well, but this caught off guard. "What?"
With a pleased look on his face, Klaus didn't respond. Instead, he began walking away leaving Sabrina in shock.
Trying to calm herself didn't work. Her breathing was slightly unsteady out of dread. She tried to reason with herself and blame it on paranoia and the possibility that Klaus could have been referring to anything. She knew what she was risking and right now her sanity way paying for it.
She became unfrozen as the silence of the night was broke by Stefan emerge out of the house. He was covered in blood but didn't seem to care. As he walked past her, he made no indication to start a conversation but made brief eye contact before walking to the car.
Sabrina turned around running to catch up to him, hoping Stefan's presence would erase the anxiety. She caught him just as he was about to enter the passenger side of the car. No words were exchanged as the pair got into and drove off to the next location.

The bar lived up to its name. It was located right on the highway and filled with people making pit stops. The air was misty, a few neon signs illustrated the walls. Sabrina sat nursing a drink at the counter. A group of women were at the end of the table chatting and drinking. Bikers and other patrons dotted across the establishment. Sabrina sat alone on the long table watching the bartender picked up a cloth to wipe the various different glasses in front of him.
"What's up Ray?" the bartender opposite her asked the new comer.
Hey Red, get me a beer."
Ray walked up to the counter and sat down beside her. Playing with the straw in her drink Sabrina turned to Ray, giving him a little smile before looking back at the pool of liquid in her glass.
"You're a new face here."
She smiled and turned back to face him. "Just visiting."
"And she's got a cute accent on her," he smiled back as the bartender placed the bottle of beer in front of him. "Planning on staying long? I'd be more than happy to show you around."
Sabrina smirked at him, watching him take a drink out of the bottle before placing it back down. "I've always been told not to accept requests from strangers"
Ray coughed and cleared his throat then proceeded to hold out his hand. "I'm Ray."
She raised a brow before extending her own hand. "Sabrina."
"See, no longer strangers." She couldn't help but laugh at his forwardness.
"Ray? Ray Sutton?" Klaus' voice broke their interaction. He leaned in and sat beside Ray
"Who wants to know?" He turned his head to the hybrid.
"I've been looking everywhere for you. We started in Florida, Pensacola. I met a young chap there who you used to work with before you moved to Memphis." Ray looked back at Sabrina who was twirling her straw with a crestfallen look as Klaus continued. "Now he directed me to two lovely young women. And they led me here, to you."
"I think I'll be going. It was nice meeting you Sabrina." Ray stood up in a hurry, trying to get away from Klaus.
"Not so fast mate." Klaus was quicker and stopped him. "You only just got here, now your type are very hard to come by."
Turning the other way Ray tried to walk away once more but bumped into Stefan.
"I wouldn't do that." He pushed Ray back to the counter and stood next to where Sabrina was sat.
Ray looked at the girl who he had been talking to a few moments ago. She hadn't moved and her expression remained the same as the two men continued their efforts.
Ray was fast to catch on. "Vampires."
"Swifty swift Ray! Yes! My friend here is a vampire," Klaus said reaching over and taking the beer bottle that Ray left. "He compelled everybody in the bar so don't look to them for any help."
Ray looked around to confirm what was being told to him. The people in the bar seemed oblivious to everything that was happening, no one intervened as they all carried on with their afternoon.
"I however, I'm something else, a different kind of monster. I've got some vampire, I've got some wolf."
"You what?" Ray asked in confusion as Klaus' speech continued.
"A hybrid Ray, I'm both. You see I want to create more of me. Now you being the first werewolf that I've come across in many a moon, pun intended Ray." Klaus' little joke was only amusing to him but nonetheless he went on. "I need you to direct me to your pack. So, where can I find them Ray?"
"You can't compel me, it won't work." Sabrina could tell Ray was adamant in not being a part of this but unfortunately for both of them, she knew how this would end.
"Can I get a scotch on the rocks, please," Stefan called out to the bartender.
"Tell you what Ray, We're gonna play a little drinking game, something I like to call truth or wolfsbane." Stefan proceeded to pull out a pouch from his back pocket. Pouring out the contents he crushed the dried herbs with his fingers.
If Ray wasn't scared before he sure was now and as always Klaus seemed to find enjoyment in it. "Oh, this is gonna be fun Ray."

Sabrina's face contorted in disgust as she watched Stefan throw darts soaked in wolfsbane at Ray who was chained to the wall. She could hear him groan in pain as Stefan stirred the liquid in a glass with the sharp end of another dart.
She turned in her seat when the bartender placed another glass in front of her removing her empty one. she smiled in appreciation as she lifted it to take another sip.
"I'm beginning to think you have an alcohol problem." The voice belonged to the hybrid sat next to her with his feet resting on the countertop
Sabrina picked up the glass once more ready to go for round two. "This place doesn't do coffee, this is the next best thing."
The glass stopped when it reached her lips. Her hand made no movement to pour the liquid into her mouth as something new caught her attention. A woman sauntered over to Klaus causing him to stand up. Whoever she was it was someone he was expecting, placing the glass back down she watched the interaction while holding the glass.
"Hello Mr Klaus. I have some new information for you. You told me to tell you if I saw anything, I that guy's brother Damon at the farm house." From the corner of her eye she saw this had also held Stefan's attention.
"Well, thank you Claudine. You just tell your friends to keep up the good work with the neighbourhood watch"
As soon as she walked away Stefan appeared in front of Klaus. They were aware that Damon was following them but this was the closest he had gotten to finding them.
"My brother still on our trail?"
"He's getting closer, I'm gonna have to deal with that." Klaus moved past Stefan.
Stefan hand grabbed Klaus's arm, stopping him in his tracks. "No, no, no! Let me handle it."
Klaus turned around and looked at Stefan and tried to calculate his fast reaction. "Why should I let you leave?"
"Cause, you'll know I'll come back."
"Do I?" Klaus questioned.
"You saved my brother's life, I'm at your service."
"Ah, you sound so tedious and indentured. Aren't you even having the least bit of fun?" Klaus tone became lighter as he pointed towards Ray with a smile.
"I'll make sure that my brother doesn't bother us anymore," Stefan told him with a straight face before leaving with the bar before any other questions could be asked.

A/N: And we've official kicked of season 3! I'm hoping to have part 2 up tomorrow. A/N: If you think Sabrina isn't doing much while with Klaus and Stefan, remember that Klaus has a very on/off temper and can kill her at any moment. I'm trying my best to keep everyone in character but that's not to say Sabrina won't have her own moments.
Amara.
