"So, Anna, sweetie, you say that you hate your own breasts. Is there more to it than what you've already said?" Umimi said as she and Anna finished dressing.
"Well, for some reason my nipples end up hurting as well. I'm not sure why that happens though." The young red-haired girl said as she gripped her own chest in frustration at the thought that she didn't understand.
"It's because your nipples are a very sensitive part of the body. When you have bras that are too tight, your chest ends up hurting. That's why you need to take better care of yourself, Anna. I know it's embarrassing but you don't want to keep feeling pain do you?" The blue-haired said in a concerned tone.
"No…." Anna simply responded.
"As for the boys ogling at you, why not use that to your advantage? You could easily get your own boyfriend doing that" Umimi said in a teasing tone towards the young girl.
"Damn it, you're the second one that's said that now! I'm not a whore! And I'm not interested in using my body to get a guy!" Anna yelled out in frustration.
"My apologies, Anna. I was only joking. If you really want to get the guys off your back, why not try a different outfit? Try one that doesn't have any cleavage showing and that doesn't show off to guys. Your current outfit doesn't really accomplish that." Umimi then looked through her closet for an outfit that she thinks will suit Anna. She then pulls out something that might just fit her right, as well as some underwear.
The outfit he had gotten her consisted of a pair of black pants and a black sleeveless shirt which was fully covered by the piece of resistance - a white jacket with red details with no sleeves that matched perfectly.
"Try these on Anna. And here's a bra and some underwear." Umimi said as she grabbed a red C cup bra and red panties. The young girl was interested and tried on the outfit.
"So what do you think, Anna? Do you like it?"
"It feels really comfortable and I like the look! It's great!" Anna said in a happy tone.
"I'm glad you like it. You should have a better time at school. For your swimming classes, just try wearing a bigger one. It should show off your curves less." Umimi said with a smile.
"Wait, I can keep this? But I have no money to give you for it." Anna said in a confused tone.
"Silly, you don't need to pay me. That's an old outfit from when I was your age. You're more than welcome to keep it. Or do you not want it?"
"N-No it's not like that! Thank you for the outfit!" Anna said as she was happy to receive a nice looking outfit from someone besides her parents.
"Glad to hear it. Now then, let's get you started in learning Duel Monsters."
"But before all that starts, you need to choose a deck. Follow me and I'll show you my collection of cards." Umimi said as she walked towards the next room. Anna followed her and was surprised at what she saw. It was a room literally filled with nothing but Duel Monsters cards everywhere.
"Oh my God, there's so many cards! How?! Why do you have so many?!" Anna said with a shocked look on her face.
"I like to collect all sorts of cards. If you look closely, each section has different types of cards. Warriors, Dragons, Beasts, Machines, etc. Take a look around and see which ones take your interest." The blue-haired woman said as she pointed towards the card collection.
"But I have no idea what cards are good and which ones aren't. How am I supposed to make a good choice without even knowing how to play the game?" Anna asked as she was confused.
"Don't worry about all of that. How about this, pick one card out and I'll help you from there." Umimi said with a smile.
"Fine." The red-haired girl said as she then looked around the large room. The huge amount of cards almost completely overwhelmed her, even though she was never the most interested in duel monsters.
"I have to learn how to play. Umimi said to just pick a card that I think looks cool. Wait, this one looks kinda nice." Anna thought to herself as she saw a monster card called Rocket Arrow Express. It had 5000 attack points and the speedy design caught her eye.
"Oh, do you like that card? It does have a lot of attack points but is there any other reason you're interested in it?" Umimi said in a motherly tone.
"It looks really fast and it looks really strong. It has a bigger number than all the other cards I've seen." Anna said as she picked up the card.
"Understood. That card is part of the Train archetype. Let me get the other cards that I have that belong to it." Umimi said as she looked around the machine type cards and eventually gathered 40 cards which she then presented to Anna.
"Here you go. Take a look at these cards and see what you think. I think you'll like it." The blue-haired woman said as she handed the deck to Anna, who then started to look through it.
"Wow! These cards are so cool!" But why do I feel weird when looking at them? Something….. familiar. Anna thought to herself with a grin on her face. She tried not to think about the fact that the cards were giving her a familiar feeling.
"So what do you think Anna?"
"They're really nice! Thank you Umimi, but what's up with this black colored card? It's the only one of that color here." Anna asked looking at the card.
"That, Anna, is an Xyz monster. It is a monster that goes in the Extra Deck which you can summon by overlaying 2 or more monsters of the same level." She explained, but then she saw Anna's confused face. "Oh, right. Well, I guess we should start with the basics then."
The 2 had spent a bit of time, Anna slowly learning how to duel and whatnot from Umimi. She got the hang of it pretty well, and the fact that she was going to use this knowledge to get to Yuma made it better. Now she needed to test her knowledge and imprint it better into her head.
So she and Umimi dueled a few times, the older woman going easy on her of course so she could learn. But safe to say the difficulty went up a bit as Anna got bolder with her moves.
"Umimi!" Then a male voice called out.
"Oh! That's my boyfriend. I guess we have to stop here for today."
"Ok. " Anna replied, not having a problem with stopping. Her house, her rules, and she was just a guest.
"Honey, glad to see you. How was your day?" The blue-haired woman said as she walked up to her boyfriend and hugged him.
"It went great. Here are the cards you asked for sweetie." Tobio said as he handed a booster box to his girlfriend.
"Nice! And it's water cards as well! Thank you!" Umimi said as she opened the booster box to find many packs of cards. Anna then came out of the room to see the two adults.
"Oh, who is this Umimi? It's not like you to bring home guests."
"Her name is Anna Kozuki. She's a sweet girl and I'm teaching her to play duel monsters. I ran into her on my way home and we both soaked by the rain so I couldn't just abandon her. And we've bonded since then. I've even invited her to come to our wedding!" She said with excitement.
"That's very nice of you. I'm glad that someone of her age will get the chance to see a wedding right before her eyes."
"I still need to ask my parents. I'm sure they'll say yes though." Anna said.
"I'm sure that you'll enjoy it. It's in one week. Will you be able to make it Anna?" Tobio asked with a smile.
"If all goes well then yes. Will I need to bring a lunch?" Anna asked.
"Well it wouldn't really be much of a wedding if we didn't have plenty of food now would it?" Umimi asked Anna.
"Umimi is right. There will be an awesome cake too." Tobio said to Anna to which she responded with drool coming out of her mouth.
"Haha, looks like you're looking forward to it. You'll have a great time." The older man said to the young red-haired girl who wiped the drool from her mouth.
"Now then Anna, would you join us for dinner?" Umimi asked.
"Of course! Dinner sounds good right about now." Anna said as her stomach growled.
"Looks like your stomach agrees with you too. Let's make some curry. How does that sound sweetie, Anna?" The older man asked his girlfriend and Anna.
"Sounds good!" Both said at the same time.
Both adults then went to the kitchen and started to make the curry. Anna was sitting at the table and looking through the deck that was given to her by Umimi with excitement.
"She really seems to enjoy those cards. I'm guessing you gave her those, Umimi?" Tobio asked his soon-to-be wife.
"Indeed. She picked one of them herself and I looked and found other cards from the same archetype. Truthfully, I'm not that good with machine cards and I don't know much about that archetype but she seems to enjoy it so that's good enough for me." She said with a smile.
"When we have a kid, I'm sure that he or she will be in good hands with you around." The older man said.
"Dear, don't talk about kids yet. We haven't even married yet. At least wait until after the wedding." The blue-haired woman said with a pout.
"Don't worry, I know. I'm just speaking about the future, sweetie. Ah, seems like the food is done." Tobio said as he took 3 plates out of the drawer and poured the curry from the pot onto them with a large spoon and then placed them on the table.
"Time to eat up. " The soon-to-be husband of the house said as he and his girlfriend sat down.
"Anna, are you ok with staying over for the night? I'm sure you wouldn't want to go home this late." Umimi said.
"I guess that's true. Can I use your phone to call my parents and let them know where I am?" Anna asked as she was eating. She was naturally worried that her parents were going to be angry with her regarding the current situation.
"Of course you can dear. But first, let's finish dinner. Also, don't worry, we have an extra bed here for you. It's nice and comfy as well." Umimi said.
"Thank you. You really are nice." Anna said with her food in her mouth"
"Anna, you shouldn't speak with her your mouth full. And thank you."
Soon enough, the 3 finished dinner, and Anna called her parents. It actually went better than the red-haired girl thought it would as they were fine with it. After hanging up, the girl changed into a pair of pajamas that Umimi gave her. The older woman then showed her to her room and showed her the bed.
"Wow, it looks really nice!" Anna said with cheerful voice, the room Umimi showed her being pretty spacious and whatnot. "Are you sure I can sleep here for the night? I can always take the couch."
"Of course you can, Anna. You're a guest so you deserve to be treated with respect." The older woman responded.
"Thank you!" Anna said cheerfully as she went and jumped on the bed. Umami simply giggled at her antics and went away, leaving the girl alone in the room.
Umimi then went to her room where Tobio was waiting for her. "Honey, what are you doing here?" The blue-haired woman asked.
"Let's sleep together tonight." He responded with a smirk.
"N-No way! Do you realize what you're saying? Anna is in the other room!" Umimi shouting in disapproval.
"Haha. I didn't mean it like that, sweetie. Seems like you've become a bit of a pervert, huh?" Tobio said while laughing at his girlfriend's naughty thoughts.
"I-idiot! I knew that already….." She replied while feeling incredibly embarrassed about what she just said. The two then got under the covers and fell asleep like true lovers.
Slowly, the day returned to the world and Anna woke up as the rays of the sun hit her face through the window. She got up, yawning, rubbing her eyes, and then she looked around. "Oh yeah...So it wasn't a dream." She muttered.
"Anna, I see you woke up without my help," Umimi said as she walked into the room Anna was in.
"Yeah, I'm usually a riser with the sun, you know." She said as she yawned. "So, how are you?" she asked.
"I'm great. Thank you for asking. Breakfast is ready. I and Tobio worked together on it to make sure that you enjoyed it. Please come and take a look." The older woman said with a smile.
On the table were 3 plates with rice and omelets on them, and Anna's stomach growled. "Oh my." Umami giggled hearing her. "Someone is hungry."
Anna blushed a bit. "Sorry…"
"It's ok, sweetie," Umami said. "Come sit down with us and eat, then you can head back home."
The 3 ate their breakfast and Anna thought it was absolutely delicious. After cleaning up, it was time for Anna to go back home.
"Take care, Anna!" Umami's boyfriend said as he waved at her.
"Watch out there, Anna!" Umami said as she too waved with a smile on her face.
"I Will! Thank you for the cards and for taking care of me miss Umimi! And I promise to attend the wedding!" Anna said as she started to run to the train station that would take her back home. The couple had offered to drive her home but the young girl insisted that she enjoyed taking the train more. There was something about it that resonated with her that even she herself didn't know.
"I've finally learned a bit about how to play duel monsters! Soon, I'll force that asshole to date me by beating him in a duel!" Anna was saying to herself as she bumped into a stranger while she wasn't paying attention to where she was going.
"Hey! Dammit, watch where you're going! Wait, this just happened yesterday. I really need to pay attention to where I'm running." The young girl said as she looked up at the person in front of her.
"Ah, my apologies young miss." the stranger said as he put his hand forth to help her up. "But you'd be right into assuming you have to watch out where you are going."
"Whatever." She scoffs as she takes the strange's hand, helping herself up. Then she looked up at him, and saw a...honestly, she sees a good looking one.
The man before her was dressed in a black suit with a green tie which matched his eyes. His hair was long, like long-long, having 2 strands flow down on his shoulders in the front and a long, golden loosely tied ponytail which reached to his mid-section. The last feature he had was a upside down cross-shaped earring. "You know." The stranger started, thinking about something. He did seem like he had something strapped to his back. "I think you'd be better off flying than running."
"Flying?" Anna echoed with a hint of confusion in her voice. "What do you mean?"
"Here." The stranger pulled the device behind him, the device transforming, and put it in front of her, the device floating above the ground. It was a pink-colored cannon...Anna was instantly hooked.
"What?!" She jumped at it, inspecting the device. "Woah! Where did you get something like this?" She asked in awe.
"I made it, but it is too girlish for me and small." The stranger explained. "But it looks perfect for you."
"Wait...are you literally giving me this? I don't even know who you are!" Anna pointed out, making the stranger chuckled.
"Excuse me. My name is Art." Art introduced himself politely. "And yes, I am giving it to you. I only ask you to take good care of it."
"Really?"
"Yes, and if you can, maybe even-" He didn't get to finish as Anna flew off with the cannon. But he smirked. "Freaking knew it…" He sighed, then resumed walking.
"OH MY GOD, THIS IS SO COOL! Anna shouted as she flew.
The scene now switched back to the modern-day with Anna and her two female friends in the bath.
"So you literally just took that cannon from a random stranger? Are you dumb? Oh wait, my bad, I already know the answer to that one." Cathy said with a smirk on her face.
"Shut your mouth you damn cat! How could I pass up on something like that? It was the deal of a lifetime!" Anna said as she splashed Cathy with the bathwater.
"Oh, going there, huh? Don't say that you didn't deserve this!" The catgirl said as she started splashing her red-headed friend back. The two now started to throw water at each other back and forth.
"Enough you two! Stop acting like idiots in the bath!" Kotori said as she bonked both of the other girls on the head as punishment for their immaturity.
What's up everyone. VideoGameNerds back again with more Zexal. I'm taking a little break with Vrains for now because I'm having writers block but I'll get back to it as soon as I think of ideas. I've been thinking about where I'm going to go with this after all the prequels are done and I have some ideas now. Anyway, what did you all think of Anna's backstory? And keep in mind, her story is not all told yet. I just feel that I should leave it at this for now.
