I need to reset this to the timeline soon, otherwise it will get to hard to write so expect some timeskips soon...
A ringing of her phone snapped Samantha away from her uncle and their tiny moment. "Hold on, let me... why is Jer calling me, he's just downstairs." Annoyed but curious she grabbed and answered her phone. "What do you-"
"Hello, Samantha." The voice was not Jeremy's, instead it was a girls, firm and powerful she radiated malice with just two words. "Jeremy is a little tied up at the moment, but if you want to see him again then your going to do as I say and that means saying nothing to that idiot John."
Faking a smile, despite the terror in her heart, she turned to her Uncle John. "Jeremy needs me to help him with something. It's about some journals he found, Your name sake actually wrote them."
"Smart move, he actually has one of those Journals on him. Say he wanted your help interpreting the drunkard's writing, it's barely legible and I actually knew him."
She did so, getting a chuckle out of her Uncle. "Yeah, I remember reading them myself, trust me that one isn't even that hard. Try getting to the later journals, they are basically just scribbles on paper."
The voice on her phone laughed a little. "Get over to the town square in half an hour, come alone other wise... well, your a smart girl, you figure it out." The phone clicked off, leaving her alone with only her thoughts and her Uncle.
John was still smiling at her, looking a little less douchelike then normal. "Am I forced to let you go now?"
"Yeah but seriously we will talk later. I know your not happy about me hanging out with Vampires but I have leverage over them right now and honestly they are behaving. I promise if I get over my head your going to be the first person I ask for help." She smiled, leaning in with a wink. "I convinced everyone but Elena to learn hand to hand, they don't know it but I am preparing them for if the vamps ever get out of control."
"Smart girl... but what about your sister, she's dating one of them."
"I can't make Elena's choices, trust me I would rather she not date Stefan but she's a big girl." The thought of Stefan left her hot and cold all at once, rage boiling in her blood as well as smug satisfaction of her most recent punishment. "I got rid of his daylight though, so he can't go into school."
That made John laugh. " How'd you manage that?"
"I am awesome, that's how. Besides, he pissed me off so I punished him... anyone I got to go. Jer is using the book for a school project and he needs help reading gibberish with some lady friend. I'll be seeing you." Hugging him close again, she sighed in his embrace, then lead him out of her room, wishing she had some lock on her door before hustling out and all but throwing herself down the road, knowing it took about twenty minutes to walk into town if she walked as fast as she could.
She had time, she would make it.

"What a good liar." John sighed, watching his daughter as she walked away, panic clear in her every movement. He may not have heard a word said on the other line, but her sudden panic and shift in attitude gave him all the answers he needed. He knew something was wrong but questioning her would have just made things worse, she was special like that.
Wondering how best to handle it, he walked back into her room, quickly sneaking about her room, looking for confirmation of anything that his spies had mentioned or suspected...
The walls themselves were coated in occult themes, with a lot of references to New Orleans of all places, a center for magic and vampires. He saw beads hanging on various parts of furniture, symbols written on the walls that only added to his suspicions.
Then he found himself at her desk, his hands roaming over what wasn't there, and he knew he was right...
She really was a witch.
"She cloaked her supplies, Isobel was right. Clever girl."
He could feel them, everything invisible on her desk. Plants, a bowl, a knife, vials... everything to cast spells or make potions. His daughter was a witch.
"What are you doing?"
He almost jumped, the cold sound of Jenna's angry voice a reminder of his actions and need for stealth.
A lie came to his lips easily. "Seeing how she decorated, she seemed pretty proud of it."
Jenna clearly didn't buy it. "Well that's enough looking, get out."
"Fine, fine." Hands where she could see them, he walked out of his daughters room, right by Jenna... who cold cocked him, sending him into darkness.
The pretty Chinese girl on the bench drew Samantha. Her ring pulled towards her, a sign of her vampirism. She let her other hand drift near her sacrificial blade, knowing she could draw on it for a burst of power alongside her ring if she needed to. It would give her enough power to escape safely... she hoped. She had no idea how powerful this vampire was, how much strength or years she had on her. That was the trouble with vamps, they were perfectly masked.
Monsters wrapped in innocent looking skin.
"You came, I didn't think you would."
"Why wouldn't I?" Sitting next to the girl, she looked at her with some discomfort. She was a beautiful but young looking vampire, it was clear she was turned very, very young. " He's my brother, I would do almost anything to save him."
"That's what I'm counting on... so tell me, when do you plan on opening the tomb."
That threw Samantha for a loop. "Soon as I can, but we'd have to do multiple attempts to get everyone out. I can't break the spell outright, even with my friends, the spell is too powerful. As it is we need a binding agent to fully or even partially dispel the magic." She shivered thinking of the power of the spell she was even considering breaking. "Even then we need to wait for the full moon for enough power to dispel the magic."
"That's in three days, anyway you can break it early."
"I'd need to channel a powerful sacrifice. The normal disruption spell requires a dog or deer, but without a binding agent it wouldn't matter... unless I offered it something greater... " Her eyes widened, her mind crossing all of her lessons and knowledge of magic, realizing a solution to her problems. " Like a vampire, someone young though since any older then a year would be fatal for me. But my vampire friends are trying to avoid making any waves in this town so that's a no go."
The vampire in question smirked. " I can handle that... now you are going to do it in three days. I have someone I need to take out. Do that and I'll give you back the little Gilbert."
"Prove he's unhurt and we have a deal."
The vampire pulled out a phone, typing something before it started to ring. The girl spoke into it. " Put him on the phone. " She heard a scuffle before Jeremy's voice echoed before her.
"Hello?"
She snatched the phone away, not caring if it pissed off the so dead bitch. "Jer, you okay?"
"Yeah, I... I have a headache and I am pretty sure a concussion but I am good. Locked in a hot-" The phone was snatched back by the girl, who smirked.
"Well?"
She nodded. " We have a deal... you should know though, I was planning on freeing everyone anyway."
"What why?" The Vampire seemed unbelieving. " Why would you, a witch, do that? Don't you guys hate Vampires?"
"I don't. They have been punished a long time, there is no need for this... I will arrange for it to be broken in three days. Come with you vampire and be prepared to snap his neck. I need to channel them, it will be fatal."
She frowned. " I don't care..."
"Good... nice to see you."
"The names Anna, by the way. Mention me to the Salvatores, they knew me."
She just nodded, marching away, knowing she had to talk to the Salvatores anyway. They had a lot to talk about...
"Really, is this necessary?" John frowned, looking at his tied up state for a moment before turning to Jenna. She was looking at him with shock, hate and anger. He had seen this before but it seemed more intense then before, more risky to piss her off. He worried when he saw the knife in her hand, knowing full well that she had the advantage. "Why did you attack me?"
"Why were you snooping in Samantha's room?" She frowned at him, pointing and emphasizing each word with the knife. "I know about Vampires John, and I know what you think of them. Do you want to hurt her for helping them?"
His eyes widened, and he let some of his anger go knowing she was protecting his daughters. " I am not happy with it, but I would never hurt them."
"I don't know If I believe you..."
A sudden rush of steps going down stairs, caught his attention but Jenna didn't seem to care even when a very shocked but not terrified Elena walked right into the room, looking totally okay with seeing John tied up. "Did he say why he was in her room yet?" her voice was quivering, afraid but strong.
"No, but he will, won't you John?"
He just looked at his daughter. " You know too?" Elena nodded. "She really is a good liar then...I thought only she knew, damn... fine, I know she's a witch and I wanted to make sure she wasn't getting into dark magic. I know what that can do for people. I did some research when I found out, I know what to look for... didn't find anything too drastic."
Or at all, but they didn't need to know that.
Elena snorted, looking so much like Isobel that it was painful for him to watch. "Jenna saw you around her desk, we know it's cloaked. You didn't find anything, try again." Her words were cold, angry and powerful. This wasn't a kid being smart, this was family protecting it's own. It sounded like Greyson... and for that John felt pain and pride in equal measure.
"Maybe, but I found the cloaked supplies, I could have checked it for her magical area of practice. She needs someone to watch her, to monitor her. She's already addicted to drugs, she has an addictive personality and a willingness to sacrifice. She needs that support."
"Maybe, but that isn't your place. It's mine and she's fine. She tells me everything, John. " Jenna stepped forward. "If you try that crap again, I will kill you. She's my responsibility, they all are. I won't let you endanger them, any of them. Are we clear?"
"Perfectly..." And they were, much as he hated it, he knew she would do it. Jenna loved them as much as he did and now that she was in the know, she was very, very dangerous.
Elena hated herself for going with her aunt's plan, but she did so anyway. Jenna was ruthless and it scared her but maybe she could prevent her from going overboard. Stefan wasn't there to help stop Jenna, so she had to go along with it. No matter how much it disgusted her.
'We can't let this become us... I have to talk to Jenna later...'
Sighing inside, Elena's phone rang and she saw her sister's number. " What's wrong?"
"Someone has Jer, get John and Jenna, come to the Salvatore Boarding house."
"Are you serious?" Damon groaned, thinking of the clusterfuck that their life was becoming. "John is here and is revealing our trips to the Hospitals, Annabelle kidnapped Jeremy... what else could go wrong?"
John sighed, looking at him with suspicion and shock. "My nephew has to be rescued."
"I know that captain obvious." He turned to Samantha, who was leaning into a very worried Vicki. " Do you think you can really break the spell?"
She sighed. "I think I can dispel it long enough for two people to get through. Bonnie can break the door's spell, I will get the tomb but It will last for fifteen seconds so you have to be at the door the second I dispel it."
"I think I can manage that." he could not hide his smile, in three days... three days he would get Katherine...
Life could not be better.
Samantha turned to Stefan. "You are going to go in and get someone. Three releases should help. Do that and I will recreate your daylight ring and fix your teabags. I know Damon tampered with them. He told me."
Damon smirked when Stefan looked horrified. "That's why I am so hungry lately?"
"Yup, his punishment for your crap... John, you will stay as my body guard. When we cast the spell we will be weakened, both Bonnie and I. Your going to ignore your hate of Vampires and do it for me. Jenna you are going to do the Same. Elena you are staying home, you have no training or combat skills. You'd be a walking bloodbag at most."
Elena actually glared at her. "You can't stop me."
"Watch me. I will drug you into sleep if I have too. No one could protect all of us."
The sister's glared at each other and Damon couldn't help but feel it kind of sexy.
"Just let her come. If she insists, then it's on her."
The Traveler witch just sighed. " Fine, but she has to stay out of the way. This way we can cast the spell in quiet and peace without worrying about... and she owes me an Apology." She smirked, and Damon knew why he liked her.
She was as spiteful as he was.
