It is now three months later
Rick had Rafael with him and Ador was at his art gallery trying to make money. He had already told Kate that he would sell the gallery and everything he made from it and his paintings could be used to help pay to build the ship. It had earned him a heartfelt kiss from Kate again.
Lais, Kate, and Alexis were in the city. "Let's shop, ladies." Lais strode down the street with Kate on one side and Alexis on the other. They had all day to go to bridal shops until they found just the right dresses for two weddings. Lais had screamed and hugged Kate until Kate was sure she could start to hear bones being crushed.
"It's about time, girlfriend." Lais had hugged her yet again. She had really been afraid that Kate was going to take too long to admit that she loved him. That she would end up losing him and regretting it for the rest of her life.

Lais was first out and they had a budget even if Ador was going to donate money. Alexis looked her over and ended up shaking her head. It just didn't fit her right.
Kate had barely even made it to where Alexis could see her before Alexis could be seen shaking her head. Kate moaned and went back to strip it off.
The two had tried three dresses and were now walking to the next store.
"I've never had this much trouble buying a dress before," Kate groaned.
"It's just one shop and that's in just this city. If we have to we can take a three hour train ride and go where you got that stuff you call coffee," Lais said optimistically.
"Hey, don't mock my coffee." She was sure it was why she was still sane. "I need to go there to get more, anyway." She was running low.
That had Lais looking at Alexis and silently asking her what she thought. Alexis was in. "Let's go, we have all day. Dad will just have to deal with it."
"You two aren't thinking what I think you are. …Are you?" Kate wasn't sure just what was going on. If they were these two were her greatest best friends ever.
"Let's go, girl. We need dresses." Lais took hold of Kate's arm and made their way to the train station.
Alexis felt it was time to tell them. "Three dresses, technically."
Lais and Kate stopped dead in their tracks and stared at Alexis.
"I asked Alex to marry me and he said yes." Alexis hoped they wouldn't kill her. Instead Lais screamed and hugged her until Alexis couldn't breathe. She was going to marry her son! Then no sooner than Lais let go of her Kate tried to crush her bones.
"Um, aren't you still a little underage?" Kate asked after she let go of her.
"On Earth, yes. Here, no. Well depending on when we do this. I need to wait until my next birthday in a few months to be legal here." She had done her research.
That had Lais looking at Kate with a silent question. "Three weddings at the same time?" Kate looked a tiny bit dubious.
"I can talk Rick into waiting. Rafael might even be walking by then." Lais was sure she could do it.
"I'm pretty sure Ador won't mind waiting a little. We just need to know where we're going to do this. …He really said yes and you're the one that asked?" Kate thought that was really brave of her.
"He didn't actually say yes immediately," Alexis admitted.
"I'll kill him," Lais announced even if she wasn't actually going to kill him. She loved him far too much to actually do that. But that didn't mean she couldn't give him a piece of her mind.
Alexis took her literally. "Please, don't. Oh, you mean… Well that you can do. I can kiss whatever part of him you hurt and make it feel better." Alexis also wasn't bashful.
"Let's go, ladies. We need train tickets and three dresses." Lais took one arm then the other and they all walked off.
"A triple wedding. The guys are going to flip." Kate was sure of it and all three laughed.

They hadn't destroyed the budget and they each had a dress that all three of them liked. Kate even had another bag of local coffee.
"Did we do good or did we do good?" Lais was thrilled.
"We did great!" Alexis was happy.
"What are the guys going to be wearing? Suits, I know that. I mean local or Earth style? Pretty sure Ador will be local." He grew up here. "I still can't believe he said he would come." She had been so sure he was going to dump her because she wasn't going to stay.
"I told you he loves you," Lais reminded her with a smug look.
"So where are we going to do this?" Alexis queried since she was now going to be a part of it and not just watching.
"Rick and I are still working on that. We've narrowed it down to three locations. Now we have to go back and see if any of them can do three weddings at the same time. At least this means we'll have a bigger group." Lais was betting that Ador would bring everyone he knew so his side was going to be the biggest group there.
"Three." Kate shook her head. She was still trying to wrap her mind around it all.
"We've been gone all day. The big bots should have accomplished something by now," Alexis mentioned as they got closer while carrying their boxes. As part of the cost cutting measures they'd purchased dresses that didn't need alterations.

They could see the bots even before they got that close and both of them were working.
"Good thing you found that mineral," Lais said thankfully.
"You wouldn't believe what we had to do to get it. I thought sure Dad was going to come back as a powder. Burnt to a crisp." Alexis would laugh about it if it hadn't been so serious.
"It took us three systems to find it. Then Dad went down and used his bracers to tunnel down until he reached it. Only that released a burst of gasses that shot what we wanted out into space straight for the system's sun. He had to chase it down before it got burned up.
"It reminded me a lot of the time when he tried deep frying a turkey. It went poof and burned off his eyebrows." Alexis ran her finger across her eyebrows and laughed a little.
"Pictures?" Lais asked hopefully. She could use them to blackmail him with to get what she wanted someday.
"Sorry, I was just a kid at the time and it didn't occur to me." Alexis hadn't actually thought about it.
"Just my luck." Lais would live.
"Ooo." They were close enough now to actually see a tiny piece of the outer hull taking shape. "Looks like we're finally getting somewhere." Kate had seen the renderings but couldn't wait to see the actual ship.
"I hope you've read everything. Tomorrow we start taking apart our only working ship," Lais reminded her. They were going to need the parts soon.

Kate had smiled all the way to Ador's gallery two weeks later. He was still painting her and she was still posing for him. It was the best way for her to spend time with him during the day. Though at least once a week they went out on a date.
She found him sitting at his desk looking over something. Kate placed her hands on his shoulders and kissed the back of his head. She noticed there were knots in his muscles so she began massaging his shoulders. "Hi, what are you up to?"
"Bookwork. Making sure my bills are getting paid." Kate saw that the gallery was empty which wasn't all that unusual. He rarely had people in the gallery during the day.
"How's it coming?" How was he doing financially?
"Pretty good, actually. The last painting I did of you created competition bidding so I got more than I was even asking for." He was doing great financially. He put part of his success on Kate and part on that big gallery showing where he got noticed.
"That's great! …Me, huh? Which one?" He had painted four of her since they had first started.
He brought it up on the display on his desk. What she saw was one she didn't remember him painting. "I don't remember that. When did you paint it?"
Ador turned to look at her and smiled adoringly. "Right after you told me that you loved me. The day you took your dark coat off and let me see you. The real you."
Kate looked closely at his painting. It was an abstract painting. She couldn't even see her face or any face. It was just a light beige nothing. However she could make out a white body and white wings that were tucked in tight. Her brown hair was flowing down past one shoulder onto her chest. Behind her was a series of shades of pinks and reds. There was the tiniest of black on one wing and just above her head.
She had already asked him if this was what he saw now when he looked at her. She was literally glowing in this painting.
Kate leaned down to kiss him. She still wasn't sure just how he saw anything, but she was a lot happier than she'd been in what felt like a long time.
"You ready to start?" She was here to pose so he could finish the next one.
Ador nodded. "I'm all yours." He followed her into the back room and got set up while Kate stripped off all her clothes. She always posed nude for him now. If he wanted to see what she looked like now, she was going to let him see everything. There wasn't any part of her he hadn't seen already.

"All done." Ador was sure he was finally done with this one. Kate got up off her stool so she could stand next to him and see what he'd painted. This time she saw something totally different from the last one. This one she was either standing or sitting. It was hard to tell since he stopped just below her belly button. She was clearly nude, though. Her head was turned and all of her face couldn't be seen. She had her left hand over her left breast just like he had asked.
Behind her were a pair of black wings tucked in that had shades of red, pink, and blue for a few feathers. Except where her right breast should be there was a shining starburst that had rays coming out in all directions. The biggest and longest went straight down. The center was a brilliant white while the other rays had a series of reds and blues.
"Your heart." Ador pointed at the star that was her breast.
"I like it." Kate kissed his cheek. In her eyes he was talented. "I brought a bag for when you are ready to go home. I'm going to get dressed." She was going to his place and spend the night or longer again.

They had stopped for food on the way to his place. His entire place including the kitchen and bathroom was barely bigger than her bedroom back on Earth. He had been clearly watching every dollar before she'd met him. She didn't care how big it was. It was also filled with paintings he had done through the years. He hadn't thrown anything out. They were leaning up against one wall or another all over the place.
They had made love for a while and Kate was just coming out of the bathroom and went over to one pile and started flipping through them. "What are you going to do with these?" It was a real mix of everything he had ever painted. It wasn't hard to follow how he had progressed in how he painted and what he had finally settled on painting.
"I haven't decided yet. None of them are worth much." They were all his early works and he wasn't really fond of most of them.
"You should bring them with us when we leave. Our bedroom is more than big enough to hold them. I can make room in my apartment for them. …Maybe." There were a lot of them and while her apartment on Earth was larger than this place it wasn't all that big.
"I haven't decided." He was critical of his early works and he knew it.
"Babe." She hated it when he was like this. She went over to him and slid her arms around him. "You're good and you know it. You're selling paintings so it isn't just me that thinks so. Please don't put on the dark coat that I took off. Don't build up walls that I took down."
"You're right. I'm sorry. I'm just critical of what I did early on," Ador apologized and hugged her.
"I know and I get it. But those are who you are or were. We're taking them with us. I want to see them. So smile and kiss me." Kate didn't wait for him to kiss her; she kissed him then kissed his chest and nipples. Dropping to her knees she took his limp cock into her mouth until she had him nice and hard.

Alexis had Rafael's hands and was trying to teach him to walk by holding him up. "Come on, take a step." Alexis did her best to help him take a step. When that didn't work she tried an enticement instead. "Pretend you want Mommy."
Alexandre came inside from watching the bots building stuff. "What are you doing?"
"I'm trying to teach him to walk." Alexis thought it was obvious.
"Teach him so he can run out the front door instead of crawl out it." Alexandre wasn't sure this was such a good idea.
She explained her plan. "The sooner he learns to walk, the sooner he learns to run. Then he can run Mom and Dad crazy trying to keep up with him."
That had Alexandre down on his knees, reaching out his arms. "Come to your big brother, Rafael." He was in on this plan hook, line, and sinker. "You can do it."
Alexis helped him take another step. "Mom?" Alexandre finally caught up.
"What?" She wasn't anyone's mother. You had to be pregnant first and she was too young to be a mother and she couldn't be pregnant.
"You called my mother, 'Mom,'" Alexandre pointed out.
Alexis stopped everything. "Did I? I didn't mean to. She's your mother. Mine's dead."
Alexandre crawled across the floor on his knees until he was in front of both of them.
"Mom's marrying your dad. That makes her your mother and that makes him…my dad." What he had just said about his mother made him realize that he would have a dad.
"You don't mind? I've never had a mother. It's always been just me and Dad." Alexis needed to make sure he wasn't upset.
"No. I'll have a dad. It's always been just me and Mom." He was a little in shock. Why hadn't he thought of this before now?
"Oh, God. If Dad marries your mom you'll be my brother and we're going to get married!" Alexis let go of Rafael who promptly landed on his ass.
"I'll be marrying my sister." Alexandre was following her thinking. "MOM!"Alexandre yelled.

"MOM!" Alexandre pounded on the locked bedroom door.
Alexis pounded on the same bedroom door. "DAD!"
The door was locked; they had already tried to open it.
Lais was on Rick with him deep inside her and just needed one more orgasm. However their older children were pounding on their bedroom door. She fell over onto him. "Not now," she groaned. She hadn't had this problem before.
"Maybe they'll go away if we ignore them," Rick said hopefully only to hear them both yelling and pounding on their door. Sadly he knew better.
Lais got off him with great effort and found a robe to put on. Once Rick had one as well they went to the door, unlocked it, and opened it.
"We have a problem!" they both said at the same time.
"Where's Rafael?" Lais demanded since Alexis was supposed to be watching him and they said they had a problem.
"RAFAEL!" Alexis ran to where she'd last left him only to find him gone. "Oh, no!" She ran for the door and saw him outside headed for a bot. "NO! Commence emergency shutdown!"
That had all the bots stopping in their tracks. Alexis scooped him up. "Don't ever do that again. You scared me to death." Alexis clutched him to her chest and hurried inside.
"Rafael." Lais took him from Alexis and held him tight, raining kisses on his chubby face.
"Somebody explain what's going on." Rick wanted answers as Lais sat down and checked their son over from head to toe.
"You're going to marry Lais," Alexis began.
"And you're going to marry Rick," Alexandre added.
"We'll end up brother and sister. I asked my brother to marry me." Alexis hoped they understand the problem now.
Rick rolled his eyes. "Is that all?"
"DAD!?" Alexis was angry at him now and questioning his sanity once again.
"Lais doesn't have to take my last name. You don't have to take his. You're smart enough to know that you're not related to each other by blood and just because we get married doesn't mean you are." Rick thought it was simple enough.
Then Rick's face changed. He looked like a thundercloud. "You're both grounded for leaving Rafael alone to crawl out the door and head for the bots."
"For a week," Lais added quickly. "Now go make sure the bots are still working. Both of you." Both of them dragged themselves out the door.
Lais lifted Rafael up in front of her. "You, young man, are also grounded. You get yourself killed and I'll kill you." All she got was him smiling back at her and trying to grab her nose. "I don't remember this happening with Alexandre." He never got loose and tried to get killed by the bots building their ship.
Rick sat down next to her. "Neither did Alexis. What have we done wrong this time?"
"To think that they thought they would be marrying their brother or sister. Honestly," Lais huffed, annoyed with both kids. "You don't want me to take your last name?" She was suddenly hurt.
"I want you to do what makes you happy," Rick said, "and doesn't freak out our children."
Rick watched Lais beam at him. "What?"
"You've accepted that Alexandre is going to marry Alexis. I'm proud of you." She leaned across and kissed him.
"I must be drugged," Rick teased with a straight face and got a swat to his chest. "Please tell me that you're wearing a stem." He saw the look of shock on her face.
"Uh-oh." She had forgotten to install one. Then a thought hit her. "It's only been a month." She was thinking the residual drugs would still be in her.
"We'll deal with it." Rick didn't mind having another child.
"What do you think, little man? You want another brother or maybe another sister?" Lais kissed him.
"I'm going to go take a shower since what we were doing is over. I'll take him when I'm done. And if those two come back inside…" Rick trailed off.
"They're grounded for another week," Lais told him and went back to kissing Rafael.

"Can they ground us? We're adults," Alexandre grumbled as Alexis reactivated all of the bots.
"We almost got Rafael killed, Alex. I would never forgive myself." Alexis would rather die than let him hurt himself because he didn't know better and then maybe die.
"Yeah." Alexandre hung his head. He had to admit that he loved his baby brother.
This had just taught Alexis a lesson. "We are so not ready for kids."
