Lessons In Love: Chapter Thirty-Three: Magic (Part 2)

Stephen and Victor walked right into a giant library. They kept walking through it, because Stephen was on a bit of a mission.

That glowing "thing" that Victor couldn't see was leading him around toward an interesting display of books.

They were chained up. Stephen saw the books, and the two young men lost their focus on that. Victor figured that they were valuable?

Victor was hungry. He touched his brother's arm, but the would-be-sorcerer was deep in thought. He lost track of that glowing thing, and he was inspecting the quiet library.

No one was there. He thought everything was peculiar, and Stephen felt an energy somewhere in the building.

He started walking again, and Victor gave out an exhausted groan. Whhhhhyyyy did they have to snoop around some dusty library? It gave the kid the creeps.

Victor stuck to his big brother like glue, and he stopped moving when they both saw something bright. Correction. They both saw someone that was bright.

Stephen saw a woman. She was physically bright, and that glowing thing had to have come from her. She was sitting at one of the tables, and she looked up at him.

Victor was in disbelief. The woman did not look very, human? Her features were different, and she had a subtle glow.

Stephen was not in disbelief. He thought several things, but the most prominent thought in his mind was unexpected.

He thought that she was beautiful. Stunning, no wait.. gorgeous was the word that held the most weight in his head. The would-be-doctor gave out an awkward laugh, and he started scratching the side of his head.

"Do you have a phone here?"

A phone? What? Victor looked up at his brother. Why did he need a phone? Victor thought his question was odd. He also thought that his brother started acting WEIRD. Victor kept looking up at his silly expression.

"We do not have a phone. Who would you call?"

The woman was Clea. Clea Strange was there to teach the younger Stephen how to manipulate spells from the Mystic Arts. Her husband specifically asked her to do it, and she didn't mind the task.

She looked at a younger version of her husband as he awkwardly tried to form a sentence. It was interesting for her to see a younger side of him.

She knew that he was emotionally subdued, but it felt like she got to see an unfiltered Stephen. He looked out of sorts. Clea stood up from the table. He started looking nervous as he answered.

"I need to let someone know that I might not be there, on Wednesday."

The truth was, Stephen thought the woman was beautiful, and he felt compelled to talk to Christine. He felt like he was checking out another girl or something. Stephen freaked out a little bit, and the phone call was a way to reel himself back into his skin.

Christine Palmer was his semi-sorta girlfriend, so he tried to just focus on that.

Wednesday? Victor gently laughed at his brother. His behavior was really fruity. The young man kept looking at that sheepish expression on his brother's face.

Clea stepped closer, and she started looking at the person that would have been her brother-in-law. Victor Strange was someone that didn't exist in her dimension.

She thought that he was adorable, and she also could read the mind of his older brother. Clea knew exactly who the younger Stephen wanted to call. She didn't see a watch around that wrist, so she simply smiled.

"You could learn a teleportation spell, and be there whenever you want. My name is Clea, and we could get to work now, if you want."

Work? Now? Want? Stephen was confused with her beautiful words. She was closer to them at that point, and he could see more of her interesting features.

Her eyes were a start. Stephen swallowed and he looked away from those. He thought that she was very articulate, and as a result, Stephen got confused with his own words in his head. He awkwardly laughed again, because the teleportation thing really made him laugh out loud.

"Right. This is Victor, and I'm Stephen. Teleportation wasn't on the agenda today. Right Vic?"

Stephen looked over at his younger brother. The sarcasm in his voice was a familiar thing for Clea. She could hear what he really wanted. Food for his brother, and an actual explanation to what was going on.

Clea could handle that.

"I will feed you both, then we will get started."

She didn't really intend to waste too much time. Clea wanted to get to work, but she understood that nourishment for Victor was important. Clea kept looking at him, and she wondered how her husband was handling his presence.

Obviously, the older Stephen wasn't handling it at all, because she was the one taking care of the training. Clea pondered that as she led the two young men out of the library.

She actually hovered over the ground as she moved about. Clea thought nothing of it, but the brothers were bewildered.

Victor was bewildered for a short amount of time. He noticed that his brother was pretty taken with that floaty lady. He decided to tease him about it, as they followed.

"You're acting so weird."

Victor whispered what he thought, and Stephen quickly nudged his brother away from him. Zip it.

Stephen did not want to be called out, and he continued to look at the person leading them to some food. He thought that she could lead him wherever she wanted.

Stephen was more than happy to learn spells, and nerdy shit from her any day.
