Crisis of Infinite Visions: A Wonder Woman Fanfiction Story

Episode 19:

Back on Gemworld, in the universe of Earth-0...

The shockwaves have knocked Flaw and Earth-947 Wonder Woman back some.

Everyone else across Gemworld has fallen unconscious.

Earth-947 Wonder Woman reactively has crisscrossed her arms in front of her.

Flaw declares, "no one...stops young sir! ! I will destroy you for this! !"

He angrily charges for Earth-947 Wonder Woman.

They're both trying to grapple the other down. But, that's not getting anywhere.

Suddenly... Earth-947 Wonder Woman hovers fast with a battle cry.

She hurls her tiara three times in a row to stun Flaw.

Flaw groans hard...clutching his crystalline head from all the vibrations.

With a brief wide smile, Earth-947 Wonder Woman gets her golden lasso around him.

Flaw grabs the golden lasso hard from the ground. But...Earth-947 Wonder Woman pulls tighter.

She just as quickly is flying fast... dragging him across the sky.

With the sudden momentum and the glow of the golden lasso... Flaw cries out in mental pain.

His crystalline form is cracking more and more. Little pieces are falling from him.

Earth-947 Wonder Woman confidently calls out, "maybe it's time you face the crystal chimes: The ones telling you you're no match for me, whoever you are! Ready to give up?"

Flaw doubles over with some hard groans.

In a saddened tone... Flaw cries out, "no! ! Flaw...like young sir...always has life: No afterlife! !"

He puts out his arms wide as he does.

His arms suddenly are fully restored...high enough away from the golden lasso's glow.

And... Flaw tears himself loose.

Half of his form is completely shattering into near blinding light and crystalline pieces. His other half is using the momentum to launch himself at Earth-947 Wonder Woman.

Astonished... Earth-947 Wonder Woman cries out, "Hera! What madness is...?!"

She also now has some of her golden lasso around both of her arms.

She tries to block Flaw. But...everything becomes a blinding blur.

Earth-947 Wonder Woman reactively closes her eyes.

Flaw cries out, "no! ! I...wanted to exist! ! To...protect...Chaos! !"

Hundreds of little crystalline pieces rain down on Earth-947 Wonder Woman.

She's coughing hard with moderate cracking. She's groaning hard and coughing hard.

And... She crash lands to the ground.

After a bit... She dizzily and barely pulls herself up over some debris in a village.

Between hard groans... Earth-947 Wonder Woman murmurs, "my head! Why...am I still...?"

As her vision comes clear again... She looks down at herself some.

She gasps in complete shock. Tears start falling from her face.

She's realized her arms...are kind of swiftly transforming into crystalline arms.

Earth-947 Wonder Woman closes her eyes.

She struggles to hold back Flaw's mind from taking control of hers.

She can hear Flaw's cries of mental pain...struggling to come out of her.

Earth-947 Wonder Woman takes some deep breaths.

She hears hard coughing from some unconscious townsfolk.

She effortlessly pushes away some crystalline house debris from a child.

Earth-947 Wonder Woman starts to ask, "are you...okay...?"

She starts to reach out to check the child's vital signs.

But... She quickly gasps.

Flaw's legs and face are beginning to form...over Earth-947 Wonder Woman's own body.

Flaw calls out, "I...am Flaw! ! I will destroy all in my way! !"

He tries to lunge a arm for the child.

Earth-947 Wonder Woman cries out, "no! ! Don't you touc...! !"

Tears are falling from her face.

She struggles to hold back his crystalline arms with her own golden lasso tight around them.

Flaw tries to break his arms free of the golden lasso...banging it against more debris.

With her arms up... Earth-947 Wonder Woman barely holds back a pile of crystalline debris from collapsing in on her and the unconscious child.

Earth-947 Wonder Woman cries out, "by...the gods. Hard sniffle! What am I becom...?! No! !"

She runs and runs...until she's far away from any villages.

Flaw calls out, "hey! No fun! !"

Earth-947 Wonder Woman fires back, "damn you, Flaw. Damn you to Tartarus! !"

She's bent over...crying.

In mental seconds...

Earth-947 Wonder Woman can hear Flaw's cries of frustration.

She is thinking to herself, "I...I visited another Earth before with the Justice League of our world. I've seen the cruel High Councilor Kal-El...with another Diana as his lieutenant. Sniffle. Sniffle. She's no real Amazon. Sniffle. I... Sniffle. I could not have seen myself on the edge of becoming like her."

Flashes go by: Of Injustice Superman watching monitors while he and Injustice Wonder Woman talk all too calmly, of them sending fighters in all black to take over their world Earth-147...and of the two of them fighting and losing against their Earth-947 counterparts in a Injustice Fortress of Solitude.

But, when the Earth-947 Justice League returned to Earth-947? Zeus's Olympians, in light of Injustice Superman, feared some superheroes would try to destroy them with help from some ambrosia.

Earth-947 Superman was destroyed by a god lightning blast...helping the rest of the Earth-947 Justice League get away from Zeus's wrath.

Their Watchtower teleported them to another universe: Mostly thanks to Batman.

But, to Earth-947 Wonder Woman's confusion? She can hear and see someone else now.

It's Doctor Fate of Earth-0: With his gold cape and his gold helmet.

He reveals, "you crashed in by fate. But...the Lords of Order have fully seen. You and Amethyst are now connected by destiny."

Everything is near blindingly bright. Yet, the stars are seen in outer space.

Earth-947 Wonder Woman nervously says, "Doctor Fate. I...I don't understand. What are y...?!"

She tries to reach out to him. But...he's too far out to reach by her hand.

Earth-0 Doctor Fate cryptically concludes, "I know, Diana of your Earth. One alone can make the ultimate sacrifice for this world. You will understand...in time."

Very nervous... Earth-947 Wonder Woman questions, "Doctor Fate? I've lost so much! How can I...? Doctor Fate?! Doctor Fate?!"

A green and blue lined cosmic portal has just opened up around Earth-947 Wonder Woman.

She's falling through it now...faster and faster.

With a outstretched arm, she keeps calling out, "Doctor Fate! !"

But... Doctor Fate has already vanished.

Then... There's a loud thud.

Out in the physical...

Earth-947 Wonder Woman groans hard some. She's dizzy.

And, yet... She pulls herself up quickly.

She's sweaty all over now. Her vision is blurry.

But... She can tell she's landed in a underground crystalline cave.

There are sparkly towering stalactites and stalagmites of brown and blue. There's a spiraling river of boiling hot bubbling green molten magma.

She can faintly hear Flaw's voice in the back of her mind. But, she knows he's coming back.

She breathes a sigh of mixed relief to herself.

Her clay-mortal hybrid form is mostly transformed into Flaw's crystalline form. But, small circles of her clay-mortal form remain all over her.

With a brief wide smile, she realizes, "thank you Doctor Fate. Sniffle. I...know how to save myself from Flaw."

And... She walks toward the molten magma.

She's starting to melt into clay...along with Flaw's crystalline form.

Flaw's cries of mental pain are kind of slowly getting louder in her mind.

Some more tears fall from Earth-947 Wonder Woman's face.

Earth-947 Wonder Woman thinks to herself, "what do I know of fighting a battle? Very faint laugh. It's been centuries since my mother asked me that question. I told her strength, faith, and truth is all I need. She warned me of Men's World. I never was deterred by it. Sniffle. Not even now. Sniffle. Yet... Sniffle. Part of it cracks through my mortal-clay body. Sniffle. My mother said... Sniffle. ...it's not just Men's World that threatens us: It's the fearful darkness they carry across the seas. Sniffle! I still don't believe it's just men to blame. Sniffle. But, she was right about one thing. Sniffle! Impulsiveness can threaten anyone: Man or woman. Hard sniffle. And, now...I'm beginning to know too well. Sniffle. What it's really like to make the sacrifices my mother has made."

She let herself mostly melt into clay...along with Flaw's crumpled down crystalline form.

She sits a foot back away from the edge of the molten magma.

Earth-947 Wonder Woman continues in thought, "the kind she would never want to tell in my sight. Hard sniffle! Sniffle. And yet... Sniffle. I'm not like my mother. Hard sniffle! Sniffle. Unlike her...I believe there are many more good people. Hard sniffle! Sniffle. I just hope the League of Wonder Women or Amethyst comes to wake me up."

And... She lets the slightly colder air harden her...into a comatose statue.

With a little smirk, Earth-947 Wonder Woman thinks to herself, "well, who knows? Maybe Steve or Lois will come to save me. Very faint laugh. But, I kind of doubt it. They already have a princess in this world. Mala told me some stories of Gemworld...before... Sniffle! Hard sniffle! Whatever happens... I'll find you, my Amazon partner. Hard sniffle! I will come back to you...Lois."

Flashes go by: Of Earth-947 Wonder Woman finding some godly ambrosia to temporarily become a goddess, of her rallying the Amazons to fight through Zeus's fighters on the backs of giant eagles, of Earth-947 Lois Lane wearing Amazon battle wear, of god lightning and goddess winds scorching the islands of the Bermuda Triangle...and of Earth-947 Wonder Woman and Earth-947 Lois Lane leading the charge with their silvery blades.

Flaw was melted off of Earth-947 Wonder Woman's body. But, he wasn't destroyed.

Flaw's leader is a different child: The Child from Earth-0 that a Lord of Chaos gave powers to.

Child wears a court jester like outfit of green and pinkish purple. But, the shoes don't have bells.

Flaw and Child, with their powers, reawaken on Gemworld.

Soon after that... They went on to take over Gemworld.

Townsfolk in red, green, very tan brown, and dark blue cloaks running in a panic from flying lava rocks. A bedrock of boiling lava with smoke across a mountain valley. Baskets of fruits, vegetables, and teddy bears tossed in by Flaw to burn.

Cries, screams, and tears from many townfolk. Them holding their families close.

The Child stands on top of a tall purple cliff with his arms out.

The Child twistedly declares, "we did it, Flaw! The Gemworld belongs to Chaos now! Thanks to you, Little Goody-Two-Shoes Amethyst and Little Wonder Why ain't never coming back. It's you and me, Flaw. We're unstoppable! We're the greatest team since peanut butter and jelly! Since Babe and baseball! Since Sodom and Gomorrah! Smell it, Flaw! The Gemworld has cracked open and fallen into its own sewer! It stinks, doesn't it? The air is full of the stench! Ahh! But, Shakespeare was wrong Flaw: A rose could never smell so sweet!"

The Child twistedly smirks.

Plenty of very shaken townsfolk are bowed before him in fear.

He rants on, "can you see me, fellas? You didn't think I could do it, did you? Said I was too young and too cocky. Well, lords and ladies of the land...look around at your new kingdom. Catch the sights. The future is...ta-dahhh. Now! Looks like I've fulfilled my end. Doesn't it, Lord of Chaos? So's let me show you what I want in return. Nothing much really. Just a little place to call my own, where I can hang my hat, put my feet up after a hard day...and relax in a bed of satin and lace. Ha ha ha! On second thought... No. I want to be worshipped daily! I want my own "little" collection of your precious gems. Garnets, and moonstones, and opals, and diamonds. No! Why stop there? Why not daughters and sons too?! Ha ha ha! Only the best for me to raise!"

In mental seconds... A Lord of Chaos's booming voice chimes in, "the Lords of Chaos will be most pleased by your rule, sire."

The Child says, "why thank you, Lord. I'm going to really enjoy this future."

He darkly grins.

Suddenly... Amethyst, Amy Winston and princess of Gemworld, appears.

Amethyst comments, ""hate" to interrupt your childish fantasies, kid. But, I'm back."

In near disbelief... The Child cries out, "you! !"

They both have their fists clenched by their sides.

The Lords of Order with their gold and purple helmets. The Lords of Chaos with their animated cloaks of Chaos. They were the very first bodyguards of The Monitor and Chaos.

After the fallout of the Green Lanterns and Harbinger leaving The Monitor? The bodyguards for The Monitor and Chaos became sick and tired of the fallouts and failures.

The Lords of Order and the Lords of Chaos became immortal by magically separating their spirit energy from their bodies. And, they have been fighting each other through the ages ever since.

They've mind controlled bodies on both sides in the hope of gaining the upper hand against the other side. Some even willingly like The Child.

Fallouts and failures on both sides keep balancing out the scales.

Amethyst's father Pantagones was the youngest member of a group of god followers called The Ancients...until he realized too late they weren't really looking to help Gemworld.

They were looking to bring the purple and pink kraken like Lord of Chaos called Vanademon to Gemworld to take it over.

Pantagones stole some of The Ancients's magic gems to try to help his partner Queen Amethyst fight back against them. But, he never used magic before.

Panatagones was destroyed in battle by Dark Opal. Queen Amethyst was not so quickly destroyed by Vanademon. The witch-mother Citrina sent Amethyst away to Earth-0 for adoptive parents to unknowingly protect her during Dark Opal's rule of Gemworld.

Now... Amethyst, aka Amy Winston, as a twenty year old adult has come to fight for freedom.

Amethyst points out, "yes, me. Hard sniffle. You tried to scare me away. But, I still came."

Flashes go by: Of Amy Winston back on Earth-0 in her cosmically set Earth form of a mortal teenager in modern Earth clothes, of her hurrying out the door of her house to try to stop Flaw, of her adoptive father Herb Winston falling unconscious fast and groaning hard, of her dog Taffy whimpering and groaning hard on the ground, of Amy Wilson standing there, of her breaking down crying...and of Flaw cruelly laughing as he walks away into the night and The Child's cosmic portal ahead.

The Child says, "you're a fool to return!" Amethyst coldly glares back, "no. You are the fool."

She has her arms out some as she does.

Suddenly... The Child laughs hard.

The Child sickly reflects, "I get it! You went home, watched Flaw take out your dog and your daddy, saw your mama is the madwoman of Chaillot, and that little princess emerald had taken your place. So you watched Magnum Force, saw a few episodes of The Equalizer, sat through a few screenings of Rambo...and decided to come back for a little match-nography."

Amethyst faintly laughs.

With a faint smile, she remarks, "okay: If that's the way you want to see it. But, you know something? Faint laugh. Loving me isn't going to stop me from destroying you. You're too young and cruel for me, even if I magically turned myself into a child."

With a very cold glare, The Child cries out, "how dare you?! ! I never had my feelings hurt so! ! !"

Amethyst mutters back, "oh, boo hoo! I can see through you and your act with my eyes closed."

She lowers her arms down to her sides. But, she's still clenching her fists.

The Child figures, "ohhh, that's it! ! ! Flaw! Destroy her for real! ! Destroy her now! ! !"

With a dark grin, Flaw kind of slowly walks toward Amethyst.

Amethyst concludes, "all right, Chaos child. C'mon! C'mon, Flaw! Let's see how you stand up to a Lord of Order who accepts her power! You're going to pay for Taffy and Herb Winston, Flaw! I swear it! ! So, c'mon! Hit me with everything you got!"

Flaw declares, "I will, Amethyst. Young sire will be pleased at last."

Amethyst scoffs.

She says, "young sire? Faint laugh! Not in my world, Flaw."

Flaw angrily charges for her.

Soon... Amethyst and Flaw are falling off the cliff...heading for gray crystalline spikes.

Amethyst instinctively makes a green, very tan yellow, and blue cosmic portal under them.

They both crash land into a faintly familiar crystalline cavern.

Amethyst shifts her body to make Flaw fully crash against the cavern ground.

But... It doesn't even make a dent in his crystalline form.

Flaw declares, "this will not stop me from carrying out your destiny, Amethyst!"

Amethyst somewhat nervously calls back, "oh no?"

She's putting up a blue lined purple astral shield in front of her.

But... Flaw punches right through it and into her.

All too confidently... Flaw calls out, "no! !"

Amethyst crash lands against the cavern ground.

With a dark smile, Flaw tells her, "accept your destiny, Amethyst."

Amethyst groans hard. She struggles to get back up.

Her cosmic-cognitive senses are spinning around like crazy. But...one certain image is clear.

Amethyst can hear echoes of what Earth-0 Doctor Fate told her earlier:

One alone can make the ultimate sacrifice for this world. You will understand...in time.

Amethyst very faintly smiles. She scoffs some.

She mutters back at Flaw, "as for you and your destiny? Go...to...hell! ! I'm out."

Amethyst has just magically blasted the Earth-947 Wonder Woman statue with boiling hot water.

And... Earth-947 Wonder Woman transforms back to her original form: Fully restored.

Flaw confusedly asks, "what?! ! That...that can't be her! ! She's destroyed! !"

He has his arm out toward Earth-947 Wonder Woman on the first part.

Amethyst and Earth-947 Wonder Woman bittersweetly smile to each other some.

They're both teary eyed.

Earth-947 Wonder Woman decides, "get back! Sniffle. I...I'm happy you revived me, Amy Winston. But, I'll stop him. This...this doesn't have to be your fight now. You can still go home."

Amethyst solemnly concludes, "please understand me, Diana. I... It's sweet for you to let me be a teenager again. But... Sniffle! But, what about you?"

Some tears fall from their faces.

Teary eyed... Flaw pleads, "but, I...! ! Sniffle. You can't! ! It...was my destiny to destroy her! !"

He has his arms out now.

Earth-947 Wonder Woman admits, "I've become a goddess once. But... Sniffle. I...I hope that I'm right about this. Faint nervous laugh. You wouldn't be the only one."

After a bit... Amethyst puts a comforting hand on her upper arm.

At a near whisper... She tells her, "I may not know you well. But...my senses tell me you'll see Lois again. Faint chuckle. Please tell her I said hello."

With a wide smile, Earth-947 Wonder Woman says, "I will...my sister in spirit."

Amethyst giggles a little. But, she's smiling all the while.

Flaw angrily cries out, "no! ! I will still have my destiny! !"

He charges. But...Earth-947 Wonder Woman quickly pulls him back some with her golden lasso.

And... Earth-947 Wonder Woman tackle charges him...right into the molten magma.

They're both melting fast in the molten magma.

Earth-947 Wonder Woman murmurs, "I'm sorry...even for you."

Flaw cries out, "no! ! Let me exist, I beg you! ! Let me...! !"

Many explosive bubbles of molten magma rise up.

Amethyst worriedly calls out, "Diana?! No. No...please don't be...! !"

Suddenly... A large crystalline and clay swirled drop rises up.

And... Earth-947 Wonder Woman call out from it, "Amy! Try to be calm. I'm coming!"

Amethyst smiles in mixed relief.

She calls back, "okay! But... Faint sniffle. But, I can help you."

She uses a cosmic portal to bring The Child in...right into the crystalline and clay swirled drop.

The Child tries and tries to force his way out. But, it doesn't work.

He crudely pleads, "please! Ma...maybe we can work something out, jungle manne...qu...in?!"

He cries out in mental pain.

A crystalline, green, pinkish purple, and clay swirl swirls out...out to the sky of Gemworld.

The Child pleads, "pl...please! ! I...I don't want to go...!"

Earth-947 Wonder Woman and Amethyst reflect, "we know. Sniffle. But...it's the only way for everyone to have what they want. Gemworld will go on: With chaos and order like anything else."

There are flashes of red, yellow, and blue. Big swirls of gold and purple faces go across the sky.

And... Just as quickly... There's a clear blue sky over Gemworld.

The villages, the castles, the teddy bears, the fighters of Gemworld... They're all fully restored.

There's cheerful rejoicing and feasts in the cobble-gem paths and castles.

Amethyst promised she'd visit Gemworld from time to time. She convinced goddess Earth-947 Wonder Woman to let them both attend Lord Topaz's and Lady Turquoise's wedding.

Amethyst hugged her closest friends there goodbye: Lord Topaz, Lady Turquoise, Garnet, White Opal, Carnellian...and goddess Earth-947 Wonder Woman in her semi-crystalline form.

Back on Earth-0, in the year 2014...

Amethyst has recently used magic to restore everyone's memories in town.

She now hates Citrina for messing up the memories of everyone else on Earth-0. Citrina kind of hates her for turning on the destiny she wanted so much so she could easily reunite with her in spirit.

Amethyst as Amy Winston takes some deep breaths.

Her form is cosmically set now as a adult in Gemworld clothes on both worlds. But, her physical mortal senses have returned instead of her cosmic-cognitive senses.

She's at the door to her house. It's late at night.

After a bit... Amy Winston sends some light purple and blue stars over her father and her dog.

They're beginning to be quickly fully restored.

Amy Winston bittersweetly smiles knowingly to herself.

And... She knocks on the door.

Her mother answers the door.

She nervously concludes, "Emmy?! Amy?! I thought I told y...you..."

She gasps. Some tears fall from her face.

She realizes, "oh my god! I...I still don't understand. But... Your tales of Gemworld, and of... Sniffle! It is you Amy. My daughter Amy! Sniffle! I'm...I'm so sorry for not believing you!"

She hugs Amy Winston tight. She hugs her back.

Amy Winston murmurs, "ohh! Thank you, mom. Sniffle. I would have come back thirteen if I could. But... Faint laugh. Sniffle. The funny part is I think I'm stuck grown up."

Her mother very faintly laughs at that.

She mostly assures, "you'll always have a home here, Amy. You'll get to practice law like you wanted. Sniffle. We'll figure something out."

Amy Winston's dog happily arfs.

Amy Winston bends down for a little while to hug her.

Then... Amy Winston's parents pull Amy Winston into a hug.

There are bittersweet tears all around. But...they'll all be all right now.

Amy Winston is finally home.
