So it's not gonna be easy. It's going to be really hard.

We're gonna have to work at this everyday, but I want to do that because I want you.

I want all of you, forever. Me and you, everyday.

-Ryan Gosling, The Notebook.

You know your life sucks when you struggle eating Grilled cheese.

Annabeth sets the bowl and plate steadily on her lap, and tries to scoot up the bed so her back is to her pillows. It takes work, but she gets there.

Her soup is all over her lap.

Annabeth lets out a foreign whine. She could barely do anything. She hated it.

"I swear, I'm never stepping a foot on a street ever again," she grumbles, cringing at the disgusting tomato color on her white sheet. She wants to call out for help, but her Mom is in her Office down the hall, probably on a 'very important call'.

So she just sits there as the soup seeps through the sheets.

'Somebody will have to come check on me soon,' Annabeth thinks. 'Then my savior will come.'

Call her a drama queen, but tomato soup legs are gross.

As if on queue, someone knocks at her door. "Hello?"

In her soupy state, Annabeth does not recognize the teen's voice. "Please, please please come in. I had tomato soup and there was just a gust of wind that-..."

She stares at him.

He smiles at her, ad shuts her door softly. "Hi...' He says, slightly awkward. He starts to wall to the side of Annabeth's but, but pauses. Obviously not sure what to do. Pretty much, he's walking in circles.

Annabeth stutters. "P-P-ercy? What- What in the name of Manganese nodules are you doing here?!"

Percy smiles down at her, not paying attention to the nasty red stain on her blankets.

Annabeth's mind starts to wander. 'Oh My god's, what if Percy thinks-', she mentally shakes her head. 'No, that's ot how gravity works.'

"I, uh...Me and your Mom just talked."

Annabeth immediately starts worrying. "Percy, that is the dumbest thing eve-"

"She said it was you choice."

She stares at Percy. Now way in Hades did Athena say that, or even let him into her Office. She also didn't hear any yelling, cursing, or crying so...chances are that Percy and Athena didn't talk.

"She said...she heard me talking to you, that night? When you...cried? And I talked to you, and realized everything I was saying was stupid...Yeah. She said That she might not really...like me, but...she said it was your choice. So...that's, that?"

Annabeth smiles, and waves Percy over. He slowly walked over and sat next to Annabeth on the bed. His eyes wander to the dumped over plate and bowl, and the large red tomato soup splotch.

"Annabeth! Let me go get a towel-"

Annabeth laughs, rolling her eyes. "Percy, a towel isn't going to fix this mess. It's long gone...and down my legs."

Percy picks up the remains of her sandwich and set them on the plate, which he sets on her night stand.

They sit like that for a while, a comfortable silence consuming the two. They hadn't been this close in so long, and the only time they got to talk was that night at the hospital what Annabeth started responding. Then, Percy speaks up.

"So...what is your choice?"

Annabeth sighs. "Well, if what you say is true and my Mom really think's it my choice, then of course I choose you! But...did you really talk to my Mom?"

Percy is smiling as he nods.

"And she did let you in? You didn't...sneak?"

"N- Well, she let me in her Office. Harry let Me in."

Annabeth cant help the smile that graces her face. She loves Harry, he's great.

"Then yeah, I choose you." Percy's smile widens yards.

"Really?"

"Really."

They don't talk much for a while, leaving Annabeth to dwell on her thoughts.

If you told her a year ago that she's be here, and that she'd reconnected with her Mom, broke up with Luke, fell in love with Percy, and had been a coma...she would've sent you to a mental hospital.

But, here she was. Literally living through all of that crap.

Percy interrupts the quiet (again). "So...does thing mean were a...'thing' again?"

Annabeth laughs. "Did we ever really break up?"

Percy has to think about it.

'Idiot.'

"No, technically didn't."

Annabeth smiles, and nods. "Well, lets just say we did."

Percy looks confused.

"what-"

"Percy Jackson, would ;you like to go out with me?"

Percy laughs. "Well, it depends. Let me look at my schedule.." he says looking at his wrist, as if theres a watch on it.

Annabeth rolls her eyes, but silently watches him.

"Looks like I'm free...Saturday, 1:30 at My apartment with the Sally special: Blue cookies. That sound good?"

Annabeth ponders on it. "As long as you can take me."

Percy looks confused, but then his eyes wander to the wheelchair that Annabeth will have to use for a while and he gets it.

"Duh, I wouldn't let Anything get in the way of out cookie date."

They both laugh.

Percy is just happy to be with her. Yes, he really wanted her to get better and be able to take care of herself, but he's help her with that. He didn't mind.

"Percy, you remember when you told me you loved me?"

Percy's eyes widen. He knew Annabeth heard what he said a few times, but he didn't know that she could hear that early on.

"Um, well...yeah. I do."

"Well," Annabeth doesn't even feel nervous to say it. She felt like she could sing it to the world in an opera, scream it in her Mothers face. "Percy, I love you."

The green eyes boy jumps up and squeals. Like, a actual 'eeeek' squeal. No joke.

"Annabeth! Ya! Annabeth! YA! Annabeth y-"

Annabeth roll's her eyes, but she's laughing. "Yeah, can you quit the squealing and get down here so I can kiss you?"

Percy jumps onto her bed carefully, making sure not to hit her, and kisses her. For the first time in months.

"For the record, I love you to."

"I already know that nimrod."

"Oh, yeah. I just wanted to say it again."

So maybe, Athena wasn't in love with Percy and maybe Annabeth still was recovering from getting hit by a car, and maybe she still didn't know how Luke as doing, and maybe, she would smell like Campbells tomato soup for a few days...but she had Percy, and Percy had her. And that's all that they needed.

"...I love you seaweed brain."

"I Love you to Wise girl."

AAAHHHAAHHHAHAHHA...

So, how do you feel about that ending? Really, I've been stressing about it since I posted last weeks chapter, but this is the LAST CHAPTER! I don't know, month from now I might make an epilogue or something but...it it complete!

I just got to say, this story did not turn out as expected...at all. Luke and Annabeth were supposed to be together and Percabeth was going to be like...a secret affair but, then I watched The Notebook.

Yeah, I didn't like that movie.

The biggest baby in the world (who has balled her eyes out at Pete's dragon, good dinosaur, and every sad dog movie known to Man kind) didn't shed a single tear during one of the saddest nick spark remakes of all time.

But like, sweetie, if you really Noah...you wouldn't go off and get engaged to James what's-his-but, The weird guy from HOP. Darling, don't go cheating.

Yeah, sorry, anyways! I started this story on...April 7th and here, on August 30th, we depart.

...*sobs*

I guess it's a goof thing this story is coming to a close now, since my school is starting back up in 2 weeks and that would be a crap ton a pressure since we are doing 8am-3pm, just getting lectured on ZOOM.

Fricking ZOOM.

Anyways, I hope that ending was good, and I hope you enjoyed my lecture...I really don't like cheating, if you haven't noticed.

I'm so thankful to Y 'all. My dudes, you guys are amazing.

Oh! And for the record, I did plan out what happened to Luke. All the damage was done to his legs and he lost one. A leg that is. I was going to make it both but... I'm not a monster!

Well, I guess this is Of Dogs And Chocolate, signing off on SLS for the last time.

-Bye Felisha!

Ugh, I know that is soooo 2019, sorry.
