Kagome peered over the roof's railing. It was hard to see but she could spy a gathering of people at the gate of the school.
Were those... reporters?
She'd ran by a few of them earlier in the day. They kept asking questions about All Might and how his teaching had been going. Truthfully that wasn't something she could answer in the first place. Her joint lessons with Class 1-A did not include the times All Might was teaching them. Their interactions had been fairly limited so she had no way of knowing how good of a teacher he actually was.
The young woman sighed.
"It's fine Dabi," She addressed the man still waiting on the other end of the line. "It's just some idiot reporters. No idea how they rushed the gate though."
She couldn't see what'd happened either. All she could make out was the mass of people crushing in together at the front door.
The man's voice remained sharp, "Keep your guard up. Chances are the reporters just took advantage of someone else's attack. If they managed to get on campus than someone else probably did as well."
His warning made far too much sense.
The gate.
The reporters.
All of this circus was likely a distraction from what was really happening.
"Hey I'll keep you updated. I'm going ahead and moving back to the classroom for now. I'd rather be around the other students just in case." After all, she had no way of knowing what an intruder's goal would be. Were they after All Might? Herself? Or did they have some other goal in mind? It wouldn't be safe to wander around on her own at this point. At least not until they figured out what was going on.
Dabi sighed, "Yeah, good idea. I'll head down to Tatooin Station just in case. If anything happens, call me and meet me there."
A smile spread across her lips at the thought. She knew that he was just trying to play things safe but it felt nice knowing that someone was worrying about her. It'd been many years since someone had shown her such concern.
"Alright, thank you Dabi. I'll do that. You just be safe as well."
She could practically see the confident smirk she knew would be playing across his lips at the moment.
"Kid, society should be careful around me. I'm more dangerous to their health than the other way around." Just as she expected, his tone was full of the masculine confidence that he carried with him in every fiber of his being. She found it to be an attractive quality to his personality, however she wouldn't dare tell him that directly. It would risk boosting his healthy ego a little too much.
Kagome gave a short laugh, "Alright I hear you. I've got my phone on me if you need anything. Also, I'll see you after school."
"Just be careful."
With that the line went dead.
Her lips dipped at the thought.
Careful, huh?
Azure eyes slid towards the crowd below.
She'd try her best.
