Chapter 2x9: Upgrade Myself
"Mrs. Mohammadi, Prince Arash is here" - said the secretary walking inside a big office
"Hello Aunt" - greeted Arash entering with Thor behind him without waiting for the secretary confirmation to get inside
"He finally rolls in" - she said rolling her eyes - "and who is this?" - She asked signaling at Thor - "Your new boyfriend" - she asked incredulously
"This is Thor, King of Asgard and God of Thunder, he's staying around and he is my friend, not my new boyfriend" - answered Arash rolling his eyes before turning to the Asgardian - "Thor, this is Razia my aunt and FYI if you remember aunty, I never even had a boyfriend" - he added
"Nice to meet you I guess" - sighed Razia
"Nice to meet you too your highness" - said Thor
"Thor if you excuse me, I need to talk to my aunt" - said Arash
"Tamina, help walk him out" - said Razia
"Yes Mrs. Mohammadi" - said Tamina - "please follow me Mr. Thor" - she said helping God of Thunder walk out the office
"She seems boring" - said Arash sitting on the chair in front of the desk
"She have the better resume" - said Razia
"You know I may hire a new secretary" - said Arash
"Are we gonna talk about Tamina or are we gonna talk about why you didn't came when The Snap happened?" - Asked Razia
"Because I was solving the reason of it" - stated Arash
"And did you solve it?" - Asked Razia
"We kill him" - said Arash
"Oh, that's good, everything is back the same, Ervin took Elika and Dastan for ice cream and will be back in a couple hours" - said Razia sarcastically
"Yeah I know we didn't bring them or anybody back, but he did something that can't be reverted" - explained Arash
"So the best thing you all could do was killing him for revenge?" - asked Razia
"No, but it was the only thing we could do with a maniac that committed the genocide of half of the population of the universe" - said Arash
"Still could have make him tell you all a way to figure out" - said Razia
"We tried, but he destroyed the item that caused all this, you still want to remind me how we all lost the fight?" - asked Arash getting mad
"I LOST THEM" - yelled Razia
"I LOST THEM TOO" - yelled back Arash standing up and slamming his hands on the desk in front of him - "I lost them too…and more" - he said looking down
"Arash…" - said Razia with a shaky voice
"I had a life…a normal life…I was standing up by myself…I had normal friends and…I found someone…I know you don't care…I know nobody cares…but he cared…and I lost him too" - cried Arash - "he was in space with Mr. Stark and…I was just hoping he was fine…that he came back…but he never did…I'm sorry…I'm so sorry" - he cried hanging his head down trying to hide his crying face
His aunt stands up and walked towards the boy to pull him for a hug, both cried in each other's arms, trying to support each other and trying to find a relieve for their grief.
"We do care Arash, we care about your safety and we care about you being happy" - she said to his nephew - "I'm sorry too" - she added
"If you two are done with the sappy parade, we got announcement to do" - stated an old man entering the room making the aunt and nephew separate from the hug to look at him - "after all, a kingdom is not gonna rule itself" - he added
"Wha-" - chocked Arash confused before turning to his aunt who had a regretful look on her face and then turned to the man - "What the hell are you doing in here?" - He asked mad looking at the man
"Now, that's not the way to treat your great uncle Arash" - said the man with a smirk on his face as he talked to the Prince
"From all of the people, you called him?" - asked Arash to his aunt
"I didn't know what else to do, I-" - said Razia
"I'm just here to help Arash" - interrupted his great uncle
"You can now help yourself out" - said Arash
"Really?" - Asked his great uncle with a smirk - "if I go, who will help you around with all the mess this "Snap" thing caused, huh?" - He teased - "Razia had to call me, because the Prince abandoned his kingdom to chase…what? A boy? Revenge? In anyway, she is unable to help you while on the other hand, I can do it" - he explained
"So nice of you, but I think I can handle myself" - said Arash sarcastically
"Arash, things are very messy right now, I know you don't want to, but we need Nizam's help at the moment" - explained Razia
"You know what? Whatever…you can stay" - said Arash - "but you will get to advise me only if I ask you to and, if not I don't want to hear your voice" - he added
"I think you are overreacting" - said Nizam
"And I think you just want a taste of something you never had" - said Arash - "you never got to rule or even advice your brother, he dies and turns his legacy to my father, again you have nothing to do, then it all falls on me and…oh nothing for Nizam once again" - mocked Arash smirking as he saw the pissed look on his great uncle's face - "you aren't even enough to get the Vizier power" - he added
"What's your point?" - asked Nizam through his clenched teeth trying to seem unfazed by the teen comments
"My point is…you gotta remember that I'm the ruler in here, not you, I'm the Prince, and this is my and my sibling's legacy, not yours" - explained Arash - "so in other words…" - he said walking close to the older man - "…don't call us, we will call you" - he said with a smirk before he started to walk away
"Arash…" - called out Razia softly to her nephew
"Get the press, I have an announcement to make" - said Arash walking out of the room
Arash got ready in an hour and now he was entering the elevator of the floor he lives, his family owns a building instead of a castle or mansion, well they do have a castle but it's more like a Vizier hideout, they preferred the building to be more close to their people, but with top security around of course with at least two guards on every floor, except Arash's as he doesn't need them, his brother and sister used to share a floor with a babysitter that took care of them, she was gone too, his aunt and uncle had their own floor as well, they have 4 guests floors, Thor is gonna be staying in one of them and his great uncle is staying in one of those, there is a kitchen and dining room floor, a cinema floor, a praying/meditation floor, a gym floor, two offices floors, the others were divided for the workers to live in their own apartments, the only untouched floor was the penthouse that was his parents, they left it as it is for sentimental reasons and the only people allowed to go there was either him or his brother and sister.
Once the Prince was out the elevator on the ground floor he could hear the muffle voice of his great uncle probably giving him some pointers but he wasn't listening, he turned to see his aunt who had a worried look on her face so he reached and grabbed her hand, when she turned to him he gave her a reassuring nod and she did the same for him, Tamina was walking with them with a notepad on her hand taking notes that stopped when they entered the conference room and she handle the teen the notes, probably what his great uncle was saying when he wasn't listening.
Arash move to stand on the podium and looked at all the press in front of him suddenly feeling nervous, he had handle press before, but today was different, losing to Thanos, losing people in his life and almost a year out of this, for first time he felt vulnerable…but maybe this is how people need to see him right now, not like the rich opulent teen, but another person like them…hurting, grieving and trying to survive.
"Hello everyone" - greeted Arash - "thank you so much for coming in here today" - he added before staying silent with all the lights, cameras, recorders and microphones in front of him - "I know a lot of you have many questions about why my uncle, Prince Ervin, have been in charge and where I was…well…" - he trailed
The Prince looked down at his notes, then he turned to his great uncle who had an eyebrow arched and then to his aunt who was looking at him with a smile for support, he turned and looked down at the notes the secretary gave to him.
"I…" - Arash stutter a little
The teen looking at the notes again remembering all that he have learn in this past months as a real teenager and also being a little with Tony Stark, then he remembered a talk he had with him, he steady his breathe and smiled before taking the notes from the podium to rip them off at the eyes of everyone, his great uncle frowned.
"I am Vizier" - stated Arash making all the reporters cameras start to flash while the microphones and recorders where push closer to his direction - "I been working these past months with the Avengers, first with the events of Winter Soldier in Wakanda, later working on some things with Ironman and Spiderman…and lastly…we all tried to stop the inevitable situation we are in right now…The Snap" - he declared
He turned to look at his aunt before looking down at the podium, he blinked his eyes making his teary eyes go away and bit his bottom lip before taking a deep breath and look up again at the press.
"I'm sorry that we have lost a lot because of this, I have lost too…so much…and I just want all of you to know that…I…I renounce my Vizier duties" - announced Arash hearing gasp from everyone around - "right now you don't need Vizier, you need a Prince…no…you need a King, someone who can lead you and help you solve all the issues we are in" - he explained - "you guys deserve better and that's what I'm gonna give you" - he added - "thank you" - he finished
The Prince got down the podium and walked away without answering questions, security helped him and his family to get out of the crowd of reporters trying to talk to him until he got out of the room into the elevator.
"Mr. Mohammadi, I'm getting a call fro-" - started to say Tamina
"What the hell did you just do" - interrupted Nizam mad looking at the teen
"What it needs to be done, because honestly by the state of things, I may as well upgrade myself at this point" - said Arash serious
"You just put yourself in a mess" - said Nizam practically growling
"You know what" - said Arash turning to his great uncle - "maybe this is a mess, but I will get over it, you will get over it, everybody will get over it, because is what the people need, they don't need to adore me, they need to trust me and know that we will help them" - he explained - "you are my advisor, you don't decide what I can or cannot do" - he spat - "I am the Prince…wait…no" - he smirked taunting Nizam - "I am the King and that's what this people need right now, a leader, not a god" - he said
The door of the elevator opened and he started to walk through the office floor with his aunt following him, people were looking at him, but he paid no mind to anybody until a single clap started to echo in the floor, he turned a little to look at who was doing it but everybody on the floor started to clap and cheer for him, he just smiled and nod at them before making his way to his office closing the door once he and his aunt were inside the room.
"So…that's all?" - asked Razia
"What do you mean with "that's all"?" - asked Arash
"You are gonna renounce to centuries of duty as a protector just to stay a King" - asked Razia crossing her arms looking at his nephew with a worried expression as he walked pass her to sit on his desk
"I said I renounced as Vizier, I never said that I will not protect my people" - said Arash with a smirk - "after all there are still bad people out there, I'm just not gonna make a big deal about it" - he explained
"What if the world needs Vizier at a certain point?" Asked Razia
"We will see, but right now…Vizier, is gone" - said Arash before sitting down - "please call out for a meeting with the head of every department for tomorrow and I need new resumes for my own secretary, Tamina can remain as yours and my great uncle secretary, but I need someone with more edge for this bumpy ride" - he said

A/N: Before you ask, yes, Arash took one thing or two from Tony with that speech, but with his own twist to it, so everybody buckle up and all rise King Arash!
Next chapters are gonna go through the most important events happening each year passing by until we arrive to the Time Travel Mission, so we are not just gonna do the 5 years later jump because like I told you guys I want to slowly make Arash grown a bit and I think this time with Peter will be hard but help him in doing so.
