Circus Monster

Stanley Dickinson was at the party. He walked to a group of adults where Luke Kenning aka Mister Kenning was talking. A woman softly touched Mister Kenning on his shoulder and said, "Luke, Mister Dickinson is here."

He turned to him and exclaimed, "Stanley! It is so good to see you." Dickinson replied cheerfully, "You too, Luke."

Stanley and Luke walked to a corner of the hall where there were fewer crowds. Luke sighed and said, "So, how have you been?" Dickinson chuckled and said, "Good."

"Why didn't you come to watch Mumbai tournament?" Kenning asked worriedly. Stanley patted his shoulder and said, "I'm sorry. The Biovolt case is still going on and I couldn't come because of it. I wouldn't have come here either, but there is something here that is quite connecting to Biovolt."

"You mean Team Frozen Dark?"

"Yeah, It is still not known why and how they are connected to Biovolt but it is quite concerning."

"Maybe we should talk to them. If they are working with Boris then we can just ban them from tournaments."

"I don't think it will work," Stanley said calmly, "Team Frozen Dark's connection is maybe not with Biovolt but with Boris and they might be more than just mere students of his."

"Okay," he said in full confusion, "So, what are we going to do?" Dickinson looked around and then said, "We are sending our secret agent for the lead we have here. Since this area is quite a maze, our agent has a definite idea about it." Kenning was still concerned about the tournament and said, "What about the fifth player of their team? They need one more to play the battle with Bladebreakers."

"They are holding a selection process for it."

"Yes, I heard about it. Alia Sharma is participating in it too."

"What about your daughter Rosetta?" Stanley asked, "She can give us the information on what they are planning."

"I wish," Kenning said in a sad way, "Rosetta is having a problem with Catastos. She is losing control over it. Apparently, Catastos doesn't trust her."

"Poor thing!" Stanley exclaimed, "She has the same problem Alia has. I heard Reo is sending someone to participating too."

"Really?"

Naomi and Max were sitting at the bar. Naomi put her hand on Max's shoulder and said, "Oh, Come on. There is plenty of fish in the sea. This place is filled with girls. Look there's Mariah from White Tigers."

"Ray will kill me if I hit on her," Max said.

"There's Julia from F-Dynasty."

"Age Matters."

"Ming-Ming?"

"Celebrity."

"Rosetta?"
"Gay."

"Dude, you are a lost cause," she gave up. She looked around and said excitedly, "Look, there's Zeo." Max looked at Zeo and said, "Naomi, I am not gay." Naomi looked at him and said, "Oh, I already gave up. There's no girl you'll like."

"Hmm"

Naomi looked around again and saw Saint Shields in their original outfit. She said excitedly again, "Oh, Saint Shields. Woah, they don't like dress up games, do they?"

Max looked at them and saw Mariam was talking to Ozuma cheerfully. He couldn't take his eyes off her. Even though she wasn't wearing a party dress she looked really beautiful to him. Naomi looked to the other side by them and noticed Judy Tate and beside her was Emily Watson in a yellow frock with frills but something was different about her- she didn't wear her spectacles and was looking beautiful. Naomi complimented her looks as she saw her, "Wow, she looks beautiful!"

"Yes, she does," Max said as he still watched Mariam. Then he noticed Naomi was talking about someone else. He looked at Emily and was petrified by her beauty. Judy came to Max and hugged him while Emily just stood beside her. Max embraced himself in his mother's arm. Judy then looked at Naomi and didn't recognize her and said, "Miss Cora, you are-" Naomi waved her hands in denial and said, "I am not Cora, I am her daughter, Naomi."

"Oh, Naomi!" She snapped, "You look exactly like your mother." Naomi chuckled and said, "I heard that a lot of times."

"I'm sure you do," she smiled, "Very well then, I ought to go." Judy and Emily left. Max left after them. Naomi looked down sadly. She picked up a glass of wine and drank it all in one go.

"Sad, are you, dear?" Joh came and sat beside her. She rolled her eyes and said, "Not really. I hear that every time."

"Yeah." He was wearing a yellow t-shirt and black jeans. "So, did you think about what Reo said?"
"Yeah, I did," she suddenly became more confident, "I want to do it." Joh pulled his eyebrows together worryingly and said, "You're sure about that. I mean, you will be betraying Riri after she put so much trust in you."

"Joh I wanna do it," she said, "Everyone has to carve out their own way."

The spotlight was turned on and it focused on the stage where a grand piano was set. Ming-Ming's performance was done. The announcer said, "Ladies and Gentlemen, Please welcome, Sianna Yotsume."

Sianna entered the stage from behind the curtains of backstage. The end of her white gown swept the stage as she walked to the piano. She sat in front of it and sighed. Then she started pressing the piano tiles softly into her song. The sound of claps also started a few seconds later into the music. The crowd was silent which made Sianna nervous but she didn't show her nervousness.

Time is dead and gone, Show must go on.
It's time for our act.
They all scream at me, They cannot see,
This curtain hides me.
An amazing gift, so quick and swift,
You were amazing.
By myself I can't, they start to chant
Why are you not here?

Grinning at me, I lay on my knees,
They want to hear me, why cannot 'he' see.
I want to see you. I need to see you.
I have to see you. What happened to you?
We get up on stage. They jump to enrage.
Why are you not here? Why is 'he' so near?
'He' wants me to sing. I just cannot bring...
I say 'he's' not you. What else can I do?

"She sings so beautifully," Hilary said moving her head left to right slowly in the rhythm of the song. Tyson and his teammates agreed to it. Riri said with a smirk, "Don't get too flattered, she is our opponent." They looked at her as they didn't know this earlier. Riri shrugged and said, "Enjoy the song, fellows."

Singing it's a silent song of misery,
A monster lies trapped in its own nightmare.
He is a tyrant. It lets out a plea.
"Why did she have to leave it all alone?"
Bound to sing for us, a worthless monster.
It never sees us. It despises us.
Lying so useless. We start to holler,
"Hey, get up you worthless Circus Monster!"

Riri noticed Reo at the backstage door who seemingly noticed her too. He turned and went inside. Riri tiptoed away from her friends and went inside the same door. She was looking back just to make sure that she wasn't being followed. When she turned, she found Shinyu in front of her. A silver misericorde appeared in Shinyu's hand and she pointed it to Riri.

I lay all alone, I should have known.
You would have left me.
'He' smiles at me. I cannot see why 'he's' in your place.
They can't tell me why you said 'Goodbye' right before our act.
Those two young lions were always so fun.
Why did they leave too?

Roaring at me, I lay on my knees,
What is happening? I can hear you sing.
They will not obey, they've been lead astray.
Will I still see you? I have to see you.
I panic and flee. They both pounce on me.
I fall to the ground. I can't hear a sound.
I look up and see you are not with me.
Am I all alone? Where could you have gone?

Riri puts her hand at her back for her gun but remembers that she didn't bring it. She stood in front of Shinyu in confusion. Shinyu rotated the revolver that was on the hilt of the misericorde and a hollow semi-sphere of dark blue and sky blue graduation appeared in front of her that looked like a shield.

Riri didn't have her gun so all she could do was use her hand. She rushed to her and punched her shield. Her shield, and even herself, broke into pieces like glasses are shattered. That's when she knew that she had hit an illusion, an empty copy, that broke when she punched it and the real person had run away by then.

Sianna's song ended and that's when Riri came out of the backstage safely.

TO BE CONTINUED...

So guys, how was it? Those who didn't understand what happened in the end, I'll explain it. While Sianna was performing, Riri went inside the backstage where she thought she would see Reo but she saw Shinyu. Shinyu had a misericorde (which is a long and thin knife, it is basically of a size smaller than a sword but larger than a knife or dagger). Riri attacked her because she thought Shinyu would attack. Shinyu has a power of illusion that shatters like glass when it is hit. She used it here.

The song I used is called Circus Monster by Circus-P. I do not own it.
