Misty's Point of View
It has been a week since the school term started, and I can honestly say that it's going great so far. Back with my friends, Draco isn't really annoying me as much, though he keeps on giving me weird looks. Everything is good, except for the fact that Professor Moody still scares me. I feel like he's not a nice person, but I think it's just me.
In other news, people have been talking nonstop about the Tri-Wizard tournament that will start next week. Three champions will compete against each other for a prize of eternal glory, and a trophy. . . Personally, I think the game is stupid. People could get hurt, even die, in the tournament, just for a useless trophy, and eternal glory. Some people probably just enter it for attention.
But enough gossip, right now, I'm in the Great Hall, sitting with Ginny, Seamus, and Neville. The Goblet of Fire is there, where people enter their names to be reaped for the Tri-Wizard Tournament. "So far, I know that Angelina Johnson put her name in the Goblet. Also Fleur Delacour from Beauxbaton. " Said Ginny.
"That really gorgeous girl, Fleur, entered the tournament? But why? Lots of chance she'll hurt, her pretty face won't be pretty anymore." I said. "And Angelina, I don't really care. I never liked her." I shrugged. I never liked Angelina because she always screams at me every time we go on Quidditch practice. See, she's the Quidditch captain, and she just loves to boss people around. Another thing, Fred and George fancies her, and sometimes, they would fight over her.. it's not nice.
"Hey look, it's your lover boy." Ginny teased as her eyes followed the body of Cedric, who is walking in with his friends. Ernie Macmillan, Zach Smith, and a few other Hufflepuff boys pushed Cedric towards the Goblet while having a laughing session. Cedric slowly walked through the age line that is surrounding the Goblet, and carefully put his name in the fire. He waited a for a few seconds to see if something will happen. As a result, nothing did happen, and Cedric is in.
"Cedric, you entered the tournament?" I asked. My body automatically stands up and walks over to him and his friends. "Why?"
He replied with, "I figured it would be fun. This is my last year at Hogwarts. I might as well do something fun and memorable before I leave." He has a point.
"Oh well, good luck." I smiled and gave him a hug before his friends drag him out of the room. I walk back to my place, and found Seamus, Neville, and Ginny smirking at me. "What?"
"You really got it bad for Diggory ey?" Seamus asked with his cute Irish accent. "Too bad someone else has their eyes on him. And someone has their eyes on you." He said, looking behind my shoulders.
I turned around around to meet Draco Malfoy's eyes across the room. He was staring at me, not with hatred, but with something I thought as 'Apologetic'. I'm probably seeing things though.
"Hey look, it's Fred and George." Neville smiled when the Weasley Twins walked in, holding a small bottle on their hands.
Everyone cheered as the two entered, showing off their potion I presume. I've heard them thinking about using an aging potion for the tournament, because they can't enter. They're barely turning 17 in about 5 months, in Summer. . .
"Well lads, we've done it!" George exclaimed happily.
Fred boasted, "Cooked it just this morning."
Just as I expected, Hermione, who is sitting on the seat beside us, said "It's not going to work." In a sing song voice.
The twins looked at her curiously and amused. "Oh yeah? and why is that, Granger?" Fred asked.
Hermione closed her book with an ease and pointed at the blue age line around the Goblet. "See that? That is an age line. Dumbledore drew it himself."
"So?" George asked, clearly not getting the point Hermione's trying to tell.
This time, I decided to answer for her, seeing the annoyed look on Hermione's expression. "So, a genius like Dumbledore couldn't possibly be fooled by those pathetically dimwitted as an aging potion." I said, sitting next to Hermione, who gave me a thankful smile.
"But that's why it's so brilliant." Fred laughed. "Because we are not pathetically dimwitted."
I looked at Ginny, and saw that she had a camera(wizard-like) and ready to take a picture of the two, just in case something happens; which there will.
"Ready Fred?"
"Ready George."
"Bottoms up!" The twins exclaimed at the same time before drinking the aging potion. They jumped through the age line, and slowly put their names in the fire. At first, nothing happened, and everyone cheered. Just then, the fire glowed a bit, and next thing I know, Fred and George flew Seven feet away from the Goblet, and now.. let's just say that they look as old as Dumbledore.
"You said!"
"No you said!
And so the twins started fighting, blaming on whose fault it is to take the Aging potion.
"Idiots." Hermione sighed before turning back to her big, heavy book about who knows what. Suddenly, the place got quiet, dead quiet. I looked up and saw Victor Krum, the guy that winked at me, and their headmaster, Igor.
Both guys put their name in the Goblet, with everyone watching them.
Simply putting their names, then they shot both me and Hermione a smile.. Actually, it was more like Krum to Hermione, Krum's friend to me.
"Someone has an admirer." Ginny came over as soon as the Durmstrang boys left. "Both of you have so much admirers already! Hermione has Ron and Krum. Misty here caught the eye of Cedric, Krum's friend, and surprisingly, Malfoy."
"Malfoy?" I asked confused.
"Don't play dumb Misty, you know he fancies you." Hermione said like it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Do you not notice the way he looks at you when you're not loo-.. never mind." She said, realizing what she was saying. "Not my point. He fancies you, even though he acts like he's a git."
"I don't know why people keep on saying that Draco fancies me. He doesn't. I hate him, he hates me. That's our story."
"You don't really hate him." Ginny rolled her eyes. "Not like you hate Pansy Parkinson, at least."
"Look, whatever you say, we do not fancy each other, okay? Good." I cleared. I was about to go out of the hall, but I bumped into someone along the way. It was Alex, Blaise, and the guy himself, Malfoy.
"Watch where you're going Prince." Draco sneered. See? How can someone say he fancies me? How can he fancy someone?
"So sis, I see you've been popular with the boys lately, huh?" Alex smirked as we all head down to the tables for dinner.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
Blaise answered, "He meant, a lot of boys have been eyeing you lately. A few lads from Durmstrang, Seamus Finnigan, Cedric Diggory, and even our own D-" Before he could finish his sentence, Draco nudged him in the stomach while Draco's face turns red.
"Who?" I asked. "The last name, who?"
"Blaise was going to say Dominic. Yeah, Dominic Reese."
"And who is that?" I asked, getting more confuse.
"That's the guy that kept winking at you. Krum's friend." Alex replied.
So that's his name.. "Oh, well I don't really like any of them. Maybe one, but who cares." I shrugged.
"Draco does." Blaise muttered.
"What was that?"
"Nothing." Draco groaned before covering Blaise's mouth. "I think you said enough, Zabini. Let's go." With that, they walked away.
Alex turned to me and said, "I think Draco fancies you."
"Why would you think that?"
"I'm his best friend, I would know. I noticed. I see the way he looks at you. He doesn't really hate you."
"That's the same thing Hermione told me earlier." I sighed, looking down at the floor. "I have a lot on my mind, okay? So let's just not worry about Draco and whoever he fancies. Bye!"
I'm just actually confused. If Draco fancies me, why hate me?
I don't even hate him.. I'm just returning the 'hates' that he gives me... so...
I don't even know what to feel about him anymore.
