Chris: Last time on Total Drama Island: the campers were tasked with picking 3 of their team members to perform in a talent contest. The performers were selected by the theater-loving Elicia and the super bossy Colleen. Colleen totally threw a fork in the road for her her team by busting Evander's jukebox and having the way too energetic Leslie perform in his place. Peggy and Lukas started going out, how cute is that? Wendell tried to sabotage Lyle with Annalise's help, but she blew it and got herself attacked by squirrels. That was awesome. In the end, the Killer Bass won, thanks to an unexpected entrance by Duke, and the Gophers sent Colleen packing for doing nothing but boss them around. Who's going off to the chopping block next? The camera opens up on the island before showing Chris introducing the campers to the stage for the talent show. Elicia is shown being super excited about it while Colleen is being really bossy to her team. Colleen and Evander are shown wrestling over the records before she bumps into it, knocking it over and breaking it. Leslie is then shown flopping on the stage. Peggy and Lukas are shown behind the cabins and she faints from excitement. Wendell and Annalise talking is shown followed by Annalise dumping squirrel feed on herself, getting attacked, and running off stage crying. Duke is shown suplexing the bear through the stage followed by his team cheering. Finally, Colleen is shown walking the dock of shame, angry at her team, before the camera returns to Chris finishing his monologue. The intro plays and then the camera opens up on All the campers sitting on logs while Chris stands before them.
Chris: Alright campers, I hope you're ready for the most intense challenge yet. Honestly, some of you might die.
He looks directly at Francis who shudders.
Chris: Joking. Anyways, you're all going to be spending a night in the woods. There's a campsite for each team with everything you'll need to survive. The catch being that you need to find the campsite first.
He tosses a map and compass to each team, Harriett catching it for the Bass and Hellen for the Gophers.
Chris: And do yourselves a favor, don't get mauled by bears. Just because one of you is strangely superhuman doesn't mean all of you are. The first team back tomorrow morning wins invincibility!
He blows his air horn and the campers start to get up and walk to the woods.
Desiree: Oh my gosh, how are we gonna survive if a bear attacks? Elicia can't even survive a night without her teddy bear.
Elicia: You...!
The camera cuts to a clip of the previous night, where Elicia is freaking out and screaming because she can't find the stuffed animal while Harriett, Desiree, Peggy, and Annalise all look annoyed at her.
Duke: Don't you worry, little talkbox. The Dukester is gonna keep all of us safe, all night.
Lyle: Odds are, a bear wouldn't attack us unless we messed with them first. I know a thing or two.
Harriett: I am so prepared for a bear attack, though! I got bear repellent, bear traps, bear bait...oh, and Bobby smells so bad that they probably won't even go for him!
Bobby: Gracias, mademoiselle.
The camera cuts to the Gophers walking through the woods, Hellen leading the group with the map and the compass.
Hellen: Did you know that you're more likely to be injured or killed in your own home than out in the woods like this? We're way safer than we are normally.
Roxy: I think that's because people are more likely to be home than they are out in the woods, just a hunch.
Veronica is spooked by Hellen's statement and, once again, clings to Roxy's arm. The camera then cuts back to the Bass who are being led by Harriett. Peggy and Lukas are walking next to each other, holding hands.
Peggy: So, Lukas, have you ever went camping before?
He writes no on his board, letting go of her hand.
Peggy: I used to go with my brother all the time, it was a lot of fun. Maybe sometime after the show we could, like, go together, or something?
He smiles and nods, causing her to get super excited again as they stop and hug while the group continues. A moment passes, before they see that their group is way out of sight. They try to run up, only to find no one. They look at each other, scared, as the camera cuts back to the Gophers who have just made it to their campsite. As Francis is digging through the supplies, he notices that there isn't anything to eat.
Evander: Hey, what gives? Where's the munchies and such?
Hellen looks at the map and sees some notes on it.
Hellen: It says here we have to go out into the woods and find our own food.
The team groans after hearing that statement.
Francis (Confessional): I'd have no problem looking for food in the wilderness, but the bears would probably steal whatever I get. I'm just too easy to mess with, I guess.
Percival: I'll go forage! I took a lesson on it during my knight training.
Percival walks off into the woods as his team waves to him. The camera cuts back to Lukas and Peggy. Peggy is hyperventilating as Lukas climbs a tree to try and get a better view, only to be blocked by more trees.
Peggy: Any luck?
Lukas shakes his head and slides down the tree and the two keep walking.
Peggy: Okay, I'll say it. I'm scared.
Lukas puts his arm around her shoulder as the two keep walking, reducing her stress a little bit. The Gophers are shown again, Percival returning with tons of plants and berries in a sack made out of a huge leaf.
Percival: I bring nutrition from the wilds!
His team runs over to see his haul. Most are excited, except for Evander and Wendell.
Evander: Uh, Percy? This'll only last for probably twenty minutes. We need meat, man!
Wendell: I agree with the greaser, we need some real food.
Leslie: Yay! Fruit!
She starts chowing down, and the two shrug their shoulders, joining the rest of the team.
Leslie (Confessional): I looooooove fruit! It's full of sugar! It's the best food!
The camera cuts to the Bass campsite, where everything is being set up. Duke comes in from the bushes with a whole deer.
Duke: Everyone praise the Dukester, I got food!
Gene: Uh, but what are we gonna cook that with?
Harriett: Oh! I've got just the thing!
She goes to digging in her backpack as Bobby looks around, confused.
Annalise: What's the matter with the stinky one?
Bobby: We're missing like two people I think. Uh...that girl...Penny? And the one who doesn't talk...Jeff, I think.
The team looks around with him, noticing that they aren't there. The camera cuts back to Lukas and Peggy, who have taken shelter in a cave. He is walking in out of the cave, bringing more and more leaves to try and make something to sleep on as she sits in the corner, freaking out.
Peggy: I knew I shouldn't have auditioned for this show. Now, we're lost! And we're never gonna find our way back to the campgrounds in time tomorrow morning!
Lukas runs over to comfort her and the camera cuts back to the Gophers, who are all out of berries, and still hungry as can be.
Roxy: Ugh...I'm starving. Can't we get some fish or something?
Hellen: Eat fish? Blech, we'd be better off starving to death
Francis: Fish makes my stomach curdle, my doctor said if I eat anymore fish, I'll explode.
His team looks at him, completely grossed out, as their stomachs growl. It then cuts back to the Bass, where Harriett is cooking the food for her team.
Harriett: I told you I was prepared for that.
Her team grabs some as she finishes cooking and sits back down. They then hear growling from the bushes, as the bear from the previous challenge returns. Duke gets up and gets ready to tussle while his teammates drop their food and run for their tent.
Duke: Don't you worry, the champ is gonna take this bear down!
Several more bears appear and Duke looks shocked.
Duke: Now, that isn't fair! This wasn't supposed to be a team battle-AHHHHHHHHH!"
The bears take turns kicking Duke's butt before leaving him on the ground in pain, stealing all the food, and walking away. His team cringes from seeing him like that.
Duke (Confessional): Aduh...I like birdies!
The camera cuts back to the Gophers who are all on the ground, starving.
Evander: That's it...I'm getting the food!
Evander gets up and Leslie runs after him.
Leslie: You can't go alone! It's no fun that way!
He rolls his eyes as the two walk into the bushes. Some time passes, and they return to the camp unsuccessful. They look around, only to see nobody there.
Evander: Hey, uh, guys! Hello? Where the heck'd they-
They pop out of the bushes and scream, scaring the lights out of Evander who wails and leaps into Leslie's arms. She snickers as he jumps down, annoyed.
Evander: That was not funny, capiche?
Francis: Looks like we got him good, heh.
Evander walks up to Francis and lifts him up by his shirt.
Evander: I swear to god, I'll...
He then falls fast asleep from hunger as Francis sneaks away, scared. The camera cuts back to the Bass who are trying to tend to Duke's injuries.
Harriett: This'll fix him right up!
She wraps him entirely in gauze as it starts to rain and the gauze slips off of him. The team sighs as they pull him into the tent. The camera shows Lukas and Peggy again, who are huddled in the cave, and then the Gophers, who are all exhausted from the hunger. The night finally passes and the sun is up again. The Gophers get up from the ground, drenched and starving.
Roxy: Can we head back to the campgrounds now? I'm so hungry...
Veronica, who has been up all night studying the map jumps to that opportunity.
Veronica: G-Great idea! Let's go back, right now!
The camera then show Lukas and Peggy waking up in the cave.
Peggy: My head hurts so bad...let's try to get back to camp Lukas...We're probably late by now...
They get up and slowly walk out of the cave and back into the woods. The rest of the bass are shown, carrying Duke as they start to head back.
Annalise: Those two better get back here before we lose the challenge. And we better get back so I can sleep in a bed! I can't take the wilderness anymore!
Annalise (Confessional): At home, I have a Supreme Ruler sized mattress. There's only one in the whole world, and I have it! I miss my bed...
Chris is shown waiting for the campers to return. As he looks into the distance, Gophers, hungrily, walk into the finish line all together. They are followed by Peggy and Lukas, before the rest of the Bass show up, carrying Duke still.
Chris: Yikes, what happened to him?
Desiree: He so totally got attacked by bears!
Chris: What a bummer, dude. Interns! Bring the Dukester to the infirmary!
A couple of interns run up with a gurney, tossing Duke on top before running him off to the side.
Harriett: Feel better, Duke! Poor guy...
Gene: Yeah...you wanna go visit him later-
Chris steps between the two to interrupt the conversation with unfortunate news.
Chris: Unfortunately for you guys, even though one of your teammates was mauled by bears, you still lose the challenge and have to vote somebody off tonight. Better get to planning for that. As for the Gophers, you all made it here first so you're safe!
The Gophers weakly cheer before immediately heading to the cafeteria. The Bass sigh and start walking back to their campsite while Wendell calls Annalise over. Lukas notices the two and hides in a bush to eavesdrop.
Wendell: So, I'm thinking you convince them to vote off Peggy tonight. Not only will it keep you in the game longer, but it'll crush Lukas. He won't be able to do very well in any of the coming challenges.
Annalise: Why don't we just get rid of Duke? Everyone is probably gonna vote him off anyways.
Wendell: He may be strong, but he's a complete simpleton. It'll be easy to get him out of the game later.
Lukas stands up from the bush and stares at them angrily. They notice him and gasp.
Annalise: Hey there, uh, Lukas! How long have you been in that bush?
He starts to storm towards his team with his folding dry erase board in his back pocket. Annalise runs after him and quickly snags it from him so he can't notice. Wendell looks surprised that she could think of something like that on the fly. She throws it into the lake.
Annalise: I'll try my best, i just hope that he doesn't find out another way to tell them.
Some time passes and The Bass are all sitting together, except for Duke, Lukas and Peggy.
Annalise: So, guys. I know Duke was horrifically mauled last night and we should probably get rid of him so he can heal, but think about it like this. Duke is our strongest teammate! We can't afford to lose him when the other team has Evander and Percival. If we let him heal up a little, he should be fine by the next challenge. However, there is Lukas and Peggy, who weren't with us last night. Maybe if they were, we could've saved our food from that bear.
Elicia: So, who do you think we should vote for? They're both really nice...
Annalise: I'm thinking...Lukas. He's a little tough and all, but it's really difficult to communicate with him. Plus, Peggy is really smart! We could use her!
Harriett: Alright, I get what you're saying. And if you think about it, we really would've had a better shot last night with the whole group...
Annalise smiles at her genius as the camera cuts to the campfire ceremony. Everyone is sitting down and Duke is covered in medical grade bandages. Chris walks up to them with his 9 marshmallows.
Chris: Alright, you all know the rules. You lost the challenge today. You've all voted for one of your teammates to be sent off the island. When I call your name, you'll come grab your marshmallow. That means your safe. The camper who doesn't get a marshmallow will walk the dock of shame, catch the boat of losers, and never return to the island. EVER! The first marshmallow of the night goes to...Harriett!
She grabs her marshmallow, smiling brightly.
Chris: Lyle...Peggy...Bobby...Desiree...Duke...Elicia...and Gene.
The ones called grab their marshmallows as Annalise puts on a facade of fear while Lukas looks over at her angrily.
Chris: This is the last marshmallow of the night. And it goes to...
The music starts to get really intense as Peggy is crossing her fingers, hoping for it to go to Lukas.
Chris: ...Annalise.
She jumps in joy and grabs her marshmallow. Lukas gains a miserable look as Peggy runs over and hugs him.
Peggy: No! He can't leave! We were just getting really close!
Chris: Sorry Peggy, but those are the rules.
Lukas holds her tight and kisses her in front of the whole team, who emit a series of "aww"s except for Duke, who can't, and Annalise, who rolls her eyes. Lukas then walks to the dock of shame, glaring at Annalise as he walks by. She waves at him with an evil look in her eye as he gets on the boat and is sent off the island. Peggy runs to the cabins, crying.
Annalise (Confessional): She'll get over it, but if she doesn't, I can always get rid of her next.
The camera fades to black as Annalise cackles.
