Sorry for the delay...life got a little busy…anywho on with the chapter.

The look of revulsion didn't go away and every time she looked over at Ray it intensified. While he no longer had multiple darts sticking out at him, his cries of pain didn't end with Stefan as Klaus took over.
Sabrina didn't have to look to know what was happening, Ray's scream were enough and the drink wasn't doing a lot to help her. She finished the contents of the glass only to have it replenished by the bartender.
"You wanna just leave the bottle there?" she shrugged at him.
"Should I be concerned about Stefan not returning?" Klaus was back from torturing Ray.
Sabrina kept her head straight as the hybrid leaned on the counter.
"I don't know." She replied impassively taking a sip from her glass. "Visions aren't really my thing anymore, remember?"
"True." He leaned in closer. "But your intuition is still strong and I trust your judgment."
It didn't take long for her to finish the liquid in her glass. She looked at the bartender who sighed and placed the bottle near her. Pouring it herself, she looked at Klaus.
"Of course he'll come back. You've burrowed into his head deep enough," she told him derisively.
Klaus smirked at her reluctant response before sitting down beside her. "You've quieter than usual, love."
She casted her eyes back down and wondered if she should risk bringing it back up. Inhaling deeply, Sabrina decided she'd rather know now then end up dead at a moment that suited him.
"I'd rather you get to the point. You not saying anything is beginning to scare me."
"Ah." Klaus smiled. He was expecting this sooner or later. "What is it you think I'm going to do, love?"
"Your threat was to kill me," she responded turning away from her drink almost looking past him.
"Hmmm," he hummed in agreement.
"And are you?" Fear and curiosity was in her voice as she gave him her full attention, eyes no longer drifting.
She watched as his glance coasted down to the hand that was cupped around the glass on the countertop, the beating of her heart increased and her throat began to close up.
He tilted his head in curiously. "I don't remember stopping at an antiques jewellers."
The large quantity of alcohol was starting to get to her. It was her last resort at a coping mechanism for downing out the mess in her life, albeit it she knew it wasn't a good one and right now it was having adverse side effects.
"Please don't be angry." Fear began to mask the curiosity.
"Why shouldn't I go straight in to ripping you heart out?" The anger was rising in his voice as he stood up from the bar stool. This was no longer the Klaus she was talking to a few moments ago.
"I watched the people I love die, I left was little I had behind. You couldn't possibly expect me to do this on my own." He towered over her but the emotional hurt from the memories kept her looking at him.
"I'm not like you, Klaus. I can just switch it off when it gets too much, I have to actually deal with it. But I couldn't!" Her voice trailed off as she lowered her head looking down at the counter.
"Not anymore." While quiet he heard it loud and clear.
"Yet here you are alone, while Elijah is lying daggered in a coffin." The anger in his voice started to decrease but she felt like he was purposely trying to remind her, just to cause more pain. "To hide it from me you re-daggered him each time. It must off hurt."
"Out of loyalty to you or fear I'm not sure which," she scoffed.
"Regardless, you still did it."
She expected this betrayal to be the signature on her death certificate but instead she witnessed Klaus showing some kind of understand. "Yes I did."
"And was it worth it?"
Like his previous comment she was caught off guard and pondered for a few seconds. "Yes."
A moment of silence fell between the pair. Sabrina shook her head, pulling herself back to reality before taking another sip of her drink.
"Are you going to take him off the wall and being stage 1?" she asked looking towards Ray.
"You're not the villainous type to suggest I go on with my plan. Come to think of it you've hardly interfered with anything over the summer."
"I didn't come on this trip for you Klaus."
Her sentence was cut short by Klaus' interruption. "That much is evident."
A strange feeling fought inside of her. Instead of ignoring it like she should have she pressed on with it knowing regret would soon follow if it didn't end the way she hoped.
"Why are you okay with this?"
"Would you rather I rip out your heart this very moment," he replied quickly.
"Klaus," she sighed at the repeated threat.
"Why are you okay with what I'm doing?" he retorted back.
Sabrina took another hesitant pause to contemplate. "I think we're more alike than either of us would like to admit."
Klaus' reaction was hard to read. Sabrina was just glad it didn't end with her dead. "Do what you have to do. All I ask is you don't cause more pain than necessary." It was an attempt to end the conversation while she still had the chance.
It was either the alcohol or the clash of two very different temperaments but it seemed like a sense of a nonverbal understanding was met.
Klaus smirked at her as he walked over to Ray. She turned her head and picked up the liquor bottle contemplated pouring another glass. Looking back at Klaus who acted like nothing had changed had Ray laying on the pool table, he lifted his wrist from his Ray's mouth and fed him his blood. She turned her head slightly as Klaus got ready to snap his neck.
Bottle still in hand, from the corner of her eye she saw Stefan emerge from behind Klaus. Sabrina sighed and put the bottle back on the countertop and pulled her phone out of her back pocket.

"You look like you could use some fresh air." Sabrina stood beside Stefan who was resting on a high table watching Klaus. "Come with me."
She let him outside to the car park of the bar. The night air was a change from the dingy atmosphere inside.
"You don't look so good." She commented.
"I'm fine."
Sabrina looked at him, taking in all the emotion in his face. He was hurt. "How can you be after killing Andie?"
Stefan frowned unsure of how she knew. "Damon told me."
Stefan further furrowed his brows. "Does Klaus know?"
"I may not be the smartest person out there but I'm not a complete idiot, I know when to keep my mouth shut. Besides I'm not the one leaving a trail of bodies down the East Coast."
Stefan gave her a withering look. "You've seen me kill countless people all summer, why do you suddenly care now?"
"Because I just watched you torture a poor man for hours and now you've come back from killing someone else to get your brother to stop following us and I know it eating you up inside but, still you choose to let Klaus get to you, you choose to switch it off and not care! This isn't you Stefan."
"But this is who I have to be." His tone sounded like he had given up as did is face.
"No, no it doesn't have to be. Stop trying to act like it doesn't bother you. The further you go the harder it'll be for us to get you back, for Elena to get you back." She noticed the change in his posture at the mention of her name. Something about what she was saying was working.
"You're stronger than this and I know you're hurting but please..." she didn't know what else she could say. She knew Elena would be able to end the sentence with something sentimental but she wasn't here right now.
"Do you know what day it is today Stefan?" From context of the question he knew what she meant and the look on his face told her he did know.
"Call her. Everything you've done has been for the people you love. Don't let this be the reason they lose you." Sabrina did the most that she could and walked away.
She stopped at the door and turned around to take one last look at her broken friend. He had his phone in his hand and a quivering fallen expression. She watched a little while more as he held it to his ear. She could see the wave of emotions on his face. Her own saddened as Stefan tried to hold back his tears. Leaving him alone she headed back into the bar.
