Chapter Twenty-Seven: Baby Shopping Part Two: The Preparations...

Ray grunted as he heaved the heavy, full, boxes up off the ground. "Need help with that Ray?" Wu materialized in the doorway, along with several other familiar faces.

Ray smiled as he looked over at the male elemental masters, relief flashing through him. "Very much thank you..." Realizing his mistake, he corrected himself so that he was responding in their native tongue. "Very much. Thank you." Readjusting his grip on the boxes, he gestured needlessly to the useless room. "We need to get this baby friendly before the furniture arrives."

"That we can do..." Wu darted forward, picking up another box.

Mason gestured to the choppy floor job, a grin on his face. "I happen to know a guy that sells flooring. I can get samples for you and Maya to look at if you like. Some of it is even stuff that you can do buy yourself and not pay for professionals."

"That would be wonderful Mason." Ray grinned, feeling relief flood him that he had such great friends that would come out to help him out with this project...

""On a count of three..." Wu grasped the other end of the old curtain, which they had already found out was far heavier than it looked. Ray obediently grasped the other end of it. "One...two...THREE!" The two of them yanked hard, finally lifting the curtain up and dumping it into a box that was full of old flooring that they were taking to the dump later.

Ray shifted slightly, glancing around the now very bare room. They had cleaned out all the dust and cobwebs on the first day, as well as cleared out the old junk that had slowly been collected in there. The second day had been spent tearing up the old flooring, and scraping off the worn wallpaper, as well as looking over floor and paint samples. Finally, today they were finishing up removing the junk in there so that they could start laying down the hardwood floor that they had selected. The stain was a light color, and the guy that Mason knew claimed they could set it up themselves. The boxes it came in had instructions on how to do it yourself.

"Do we want to paint first, or lay the floor down first?" Ray questioned as nodded to the paint cans full of pale blue and cream paints that Maya had picked out the other day.

"Best do paint first so that we don't get the new flooring by accident." Wu suggested as he picked up one of the cans of pale blue paint up. "Since she picked out two colors, is it safe for me to presume she has something in mind for this?"

"Yeah... most of the walls are to be a pale blue. The wall with the window is to be cream. We're getting blue curtains to replace the old ones."

"Okay then...brushes up!" Wu called out, somehow making it sound like it was a battle order. Ray bit back a laugh as he gathered up the needed painting gear. Everything was coming together...

"There!" Ray finished tightening the last screw into place, the new curtain rod now firmly in place, pale blue drapes cascading to the ground. Maya smiled from where she was sitting in the rocking chair that she had ordered a while back, gently rocking it back and forth as she watched him work. The new floor gleamed, and the walls were painted to perfection, Maya even had added on cloud shaped wall stickers to the pale blue walls, making it look a bit more fancy...without going into a whole lot of work to get it.

Forest stood in the doorway, eyes sparkling as he looked straight at Ray. "Now that that's done... we can get this furniture set up."

Ray blinked, before glancing over at Maya. "How about you tell us where to put everything and you just sit there and look pretty."

Maya rolled her eyes, before nodding to the wall on the left side of the window. "Put the crib there."

With a flurry of movement, the box with the new crib in it was dragged upstairs, ripped open...and the pieces pulled out. A toolbox was produced, and the men set about putting the crib together. Eventually, Maya requested that the new dresser that they bought for the baby be brought up and set up against the wall next to the closet. A group of men splintered off of the rest to do this, working seamlessly to put together the white and blue dresser. Maya also had them move the rocking chair closer to the door. After all, while sipping at her Brew Haha, she asked after the changing table that she had bought. Ray and Wu ended up hauling it upstairs and setting it up together in front of the window. Once everything was done, the ladies arrived with all the other little things that Maya had bought, along with gifts for when the baby comes. The men hurriedly left, leaving the women alone to discuss where the little things should go.

Giggling, Kella and Rochelle hung up a framed poster that read something about love being found here. Stormy bounced just about everywhere, putting up little trinkets on white shelves, hanging up a rather cute baby mobile that had both flames and water dancing all over it. "Since you and Ray have powers, I called my parents, they own a baby mobile company, and I asked them to make this for your new little one! Isn't it great!?"

"That it is Stormy..." Maya chuckled, her gaze sweeping over the room. Baby quilts, stuffed animals, books, rattles, teething toys, and some rather cute gender-neutral baby outfits were spilling out of seemingly every single nook and cranny. Bibs were stacked carefully into the top drawer of the dresser, while diapers were stuffed into the cupboard underneath the changing table. Clapping her hands together, she exclaimed excitedly, "¡Esto va muy bien!"

A burst of laughter escaped Stormy as she twirled around to face her. "Translation please? I have no idea what it is that you just said..."

Maya blushed, before repeating what it was that she had just said. "This is coming along very nicely."

"Good!" The other ladies burst out laughing, before tackling her in a warm group hug.

A/N: Done! Um...yeah...this was supposed to update last week... but my mind refused to get ready for the baby... ugh. There is some time skips and things going on in this chapter... Maya and Rochelle both are starting to show quite a bit... thus why Maya kind of just sat there and directed the others. She can only do so much...

On a totally unrelated note but is ESSENTIAL for this story, which name do you like better? Luna or Celeste?
