A/N: I made a promise to my readers that I would warn ahead of time if the story took a dive into the darkness. We are as dark as I was projecting for this story at this moment. This story is rated M for a reason however due to the content of this chapter it is rated NR for the duration of it. This is not intended for kids. You have been warned.
Elsa closed her eyes and tried to regain her focus when she felt hands circle around her. "What are you doing?" Iver whispered in anger as the crowd gasped at the sight. I hope she knows that I don't hold any of this against her. Maren mused to herself as she jumped at the cell door opening. "Hey kid, You going to sit down here or help get your girlfriend back?" General Mattias smirked at the shocked Northuldran.
Elsa opened her eyes and spun to look at him trying to say something when she began to hyperventilate. What is happening? She looked at him in alarm when his brow furrowed. He turned and yelled for help when she felt herself lifting in the air. Iver carried her inside amongst the panic down in the courtyard. Anna rushed to her sister's side placing her hand on her cheek as Elsa felt the tears stream down her face, wrapping her arms around stomach. "Go get a doctor." Iver yelled at Jakob who immediately walked out of the door returning a few moments later with a doctor following him. "Give him room!" Jakob pulled Anna away from her sister as she sobbed in fear. Anna sobbed as she tried to pull out of Jakob's arms. "That's my sister, Let me go!" She cried out as she watched her sister in horror.
Maren walked briskly behind Mattias as they carefully made their way through the castle. "We have a very narrow window to get this done." Mattias urgently said as they started ascending the stairs. "What do you mean by a narrow window?" Maren asked quietly. "After Gale started pushing our ships back to Arendelle; We sent a scout ahead with the assistance of Nokk. It wasn't long that he returned with news of Arendelle. I was disturbed to hear of Arendelle being taken over by Iver, and the two Queens hadn't been seen in days." He quietly filled her in. He looked around the corner and continued in a hushed voice. "We sent in a maid who drugged Elsa. The tonic however will wear off pretty fast, so we have a short time that we can move in and take the kingdom back." He finished as he spotted a doctor looking over the Queen. He flinched when he noticed her having difficulty breathing. He held his finger in front of his mouth as Maren's mouth went slack. "We have to hurry." Maren whispered back as her heart raced.
Gulping air into her lungs was all Elsa could focus on as she felt tingling in her fingers and face. I don't understand. She closed her eyes as the doctor checked her over. "I don't see anything physically wrong. Did she ingest anything or take any medicine?" The doctor asked as he looked at Iver. "Nothing she hasn't had before." Iver mumbled as he glared at his brother. "What did you do to her today?" Hans straightened up at the mention of his name, "I did exactly what was asked of me. I didn't even give her any of the elixir because I was busy trying to capture her for you." He smugly stated as he shifted at remembering thrusting into the goddess. Anna glared daggers at Hans, "Was that before or after you raped my sister?" Iver didn't hesitate and stormed across the room. "You did what to my fiance?" Hans backed up with his arms raised. "I did what any man in my position would do." He sheepishly stated. Iver grabbed his sword into his hand and thrust it forward. "You are hereby sentenced to death for attacking my Queen." Iver growled out as he pulled his sword from his brother's chest watching his brother fall to the floor. Everyone in the room was silent as the blood pooled around Hans' lifeless body.
Everything changed in a blur of movement, loyal Arendellian soldiers followed by Maren stormed into the room with weapons drawn at the same time Iver quickly pulled the red headed queen into his arms with his sword held at her throat. "Lower your weapons or I will slit her throat." He ground out looking around at the faces of the traitors, his eyes resting on Maren. "I knew you'd be a distraction, I should have gone with my gut and killed you the first night." He fumed. Elsa pushed herself up still breathing heavily, looking around the room. Anna. She gasped as she saw her sister caught in the middle of what would be bloodshed. "Stop, Please!" All heads turned to her as she stood and struggled to walk over to place herself between the loyal guard and Iver. She looked at Mattias, I will not allow my sister to be killed for me, She took at deep breath, flinching as she saw Maren's chocolate brown eye's staring into her soul. Please forgive me. She thought as she blinked back tears. "I accepted his proposal to be married under no distress." She winced as she saw Marens heartbreak. "No." Anna whispered. Mattias slowly lowered his sword as the rest of the loyal Arendellian soldiers followed his lead. Iver smiled as he pushed the younger queen away walking over to pull his queen into his arms. "Well done love." He whispered in her ear as her stomach dropped. "Come on, this is clearly an act. She was obviously trying to save Anna. Why aren't you doing anything?" She pleaded with Mattias as she rushed towards Elsa. Iver growled as he raised his bloodied sword in his hand. "I will finish what I should have done the night in the throne room." He lunged at the Northuldran whose eye's widened at the quick movement in the corner of her eye. Gasps and a strangled scream was heard as everyone was frozen at what they just witnessed. Maren looked up from the floor and scrambled to stand, Elsa, "What did you do?" She whispered as she stared at the sword protruding out from Elsa's stomach.
A/N: Deep breathes everyone, deep breaths. I reworded the Jakob section in the last chapter for clarification as it was requested. In short, it's one or the other. There is a lot that happened in an insanely fast amount of time in this chapter. It has a purpose, trust me. Thank you guys for the reviews and the awesome following of readers. I'm excited for what's to come. See you soon!
