Chapter 23
"Do we have to go home?" Skye groaned walking onto to the ship. "Skye you have duties as a princess you can't stay away from Corona forever." Rapunzel said sitting next to Skye. "What duties I'm ten!" Skye exclaimed throwing herself back on the bench that lined the ship.
"Drama Queen." Rapunzel giggled poking Skyes side. "Liana come on!" Rapunzel yelled looking off the ship to see her daughter talking to Elsa.
"I hope you enjoyed your vist." Elsa smiled. "I did, you should really come to Corona some time, I would love to show you how training the guards is going." Liana said beginning to walk towards the ship.
"Maybe, have a safe trip home." Elsa said waving as Liana boarded the ship. "Goodbye." Liana called back waving. "I can't believe it's been a week." Lucas said sitting by his mother. "I know feels like just yesterday we were arriving." Rapunzel said turning towards Lucas.
Eugene and Flynn finally boarded and the ship set sail. The family was back in Corona late that afternoon. "We're home." Eugene said walking over to where his family had been sitting.
"Land!" Skye exclaimed running off the boat. "Skye." Rapunzel giggled watching as her youngest daughter laid flat on the dock. Liana got off the ship and looked around for Derick, she couldn't find him and assumed he was working in the libary she was tired and decided she would go look after dinner.
The family went upstairs and ate they were famished after their long travel. Once everyone finished dinner they all headed for bed, except Liana who decided to make a quick stop in the libary.
She looked around the libary but couldn't find Derick. She gave up and started to head to her room when she saw one of stable boys who she knew was friends with Derick. "Axton!" Liana exclaimed running up to the boy.
"Hey Princess welcome back, can I help you." Axton said walking with Liana. "Have you seen Derick anywhere?" Liana asked watching as he opened the door to his room.
"Yeah, he and some other boys went out riding, something about finding a tower." Axton said motioning for Liana to come in his room.
"What kind of tower?" Liana asked sitting on Axtons bed. "I don't know apparently a princess used to live there, your parents probably know." Axton said putting away his boots. "Thanks for the help." Liana said leaving. "Anytime." Axton said before closing the door.
Liana headed to bed and decided to ask her parents about the tower in the morning since they had already had a pretty long day.
The next morning Liana met her parents outside for breakfast, while her siblings played in the courtyard.
"Good morning sweetheart." Rapunzel said lifting a cup of tea to take a sip. "Morning mom." Liana said situation down and beginning to eat.
"So any new guards coming in for training today?" Eugene asked taking a bite of toast. "No I don't think so." Liana responded shaking her head.
"Do you guys know about any towers?" Liana asked moving the pile of eggs around on her plate.
"I mean besides the one your mother was trapped in for eighteen years and the one your grandfather locked her in and the one your aunt cass made with her black rock magic, no I don't think I know about any towers." Eugene said listing them off on his fingers.
"Why do you ask." Rapunzel said tilting her head at her daughter. "Derick and some of his friends went out riding to find a tower and I know it's not yours so I was trying to figure out if there was another one." Liana said fiddling with her fingers.
"Well he won't find anything so I'm sure he'll be back very soon." Rapunzel smiled rubbing Lianas arm. "I should go training starts soon, thanks for the help." Liana said standing up.
"Good luck with training." Eugene smiled giving a small wave as Liana walked off. "I better not have to save anyone from a tower." Eugene groaned turning towards Rapunzel. "Aww but you're so good at it." Rapunzel giggled lightly pinching Eugenes cheek.
"Ok were doing theif training today." Liana said reading the papers in her hand. "We're doing four groups of five and each group will go twice." Liana said walking around. "Group up." Liana said looking up at the guards who were already picking groups.
"Li!" Derick yelled running towards her. "Derick!" Liana exclaimed excited. "Guys warm up I'll be right back." Liana said before running off. She ran towards Derick and jumped into his arms where he spun her around before putting her down and kissing her.
"Aw, I just love love." Rapunzel said watching her daughter from afar. "Remember when we were young." Eugene said walking up behind her. "When." Rapunzel scoffed "we're still young."
"You're thirty seven." Eugene said sitting down next to her. "Yeah that's young you're the old one." Rapunzel said crossing her arms. "I am not that old." Eugene gasped offended. "You're forty two!" Rapunzel exclaimed.
"How dare you!" Eugene yelled. "We agreed to never say my age out loud. Rapunzel smirked evilly.
"Oh no I know that look, Blondie don't you dare." Eugene scolded. "EUGENES FORTY TWO!" Rapunzel yelled so everyone in the courtyard could hear her.
Everyone looked over to where Rapunzel and Eugene were sitting. Liana brought her palm to her forehead and groaned. Rapunzel giggled and quickly slipped away. "Blondie get back here!" Eugene yelled running after her.
"Hey, Liana we're ready." Pete called over to Liana. "Coming Pete!" Liana yelled back. "I have to go, but let's have lunch together." Liana said kissing his cheek. "Ok I love you." Derick said blowing her a kiss as Liana walked away. Liana mouthed I love you too and then turned around and ran away.
