Chapter twenty:

Misa takes a turn and spots someone familiar who she approaches without a problem. "Long time no see."

"You're back." The man greets her with a casual smile given her way. "Welcome back. Ready to get back into the chaos of this place?"

"I suppose I am." Misa confirms with her own smile on her face. "Though there is a message that I think is important." She gets a go on response from the other so she continues speaking. "The government are going to build another building and force others out of their homes. Just to try to bring down the resistance. And to find Kira." She makes sure to give the location of where she had seen this.

The man looks concerned though he nods softly after hearing this. "Your information is very appreciated. You can get to wherever you need to be. This will be taken care of."

"I am glad to hear that." Misa confirms and heads off as the man heads towards the location that she had told him about. She can't stop smiling to herself as she walks which causes her to gain a skip in her step. She does just as she was told and goes where she needs to be right now.

The man looks to the men moving around informing residents that they need to in order to make sure that they'll be able to do whatever they want. He looks to spot someone making sure the plans are good while the work is going on. He approaches putting on an emotional mask of worry. "Excuse me. What is going on here?"

"We are going to be building a building so that we can stop the resistance. We are giving you time to get all of your belongings before the move happens. Please go and begin. The sooner that this is complete the sooner we can get building to be a step closer to stopping the resistance. We are doing what is best for this city."

The man lunges forward gripping the others shoulder with one hand lightly shaking him. "No! Don't make us leave our homes! You can't do this!"

"Get off of me!" The other demands and attempts to shove the man away. He stumbles back and feels a sharp pain in his chest. He looks down only to realize that he is bleeding from a wound on his chest as the bleeding is very rapid. He looks to the man in panic only to see the man holding a knife in his hand. "H-How dare y-you." He stutters out as his legs grow weaker until he collapses.

The man puts the knife into a holster hidden by his shirt and hides it once more. "Long live Kira! The one who should really be in charge!" He then turns and walks away not bringing attention to himself as the other bleeds out on the ground. He pulls out his cell phone sending a text message out as he leaves the area.

L and Light are sitting side by side on the grass by a manmade pond as they watch the ducks swim around on the water sparkling in the sunlight. They are pressed close together happily.

"I'm glad to have you Light." L admits leaning over a little more to lay his head on the others shoulder. He closes his eyes softly as the brunettes arm comes around his shoulders.

"I am glad to have you as well." Light admits happily as he truly does enjoy his time with his boyfriend. He softly closes his eyes as he enjoys the closeness with the other. He cannot imagine himself doing this with anyone else. He feels like the world is bright and wonderful when he is around his raven haired companion. He wishes that they can stay like this forever and forget about the war going on.

Sayu peeks downstairs glancing around and softly sighs in relief at not seeing her parents right away. She tiptoes down the steps heading towards the front door. She puts on her shoes as quietly as she can before getting out the door that she shuts quietly. She makes sure to lock it then hurries away not wanting to get found out. She knows that Light would let her though she isn't sure about her parents. She slows after getting far enough away that she cannot see her place anymore. She heads along going a different direction than last time. She looks around herself as she walks taking in her surroundings. She turns to look where she is going and stops just before her and a man would run into each other.

The man looks at her as if trying to judge what her age is. "You might not want to go down that way." He warns her causing her to tilt her head. "There is an incident going on over there. It'll probably be chaos."

"Oh. Thank you." Sayu nods taking note of this and she turns to go into another direction.

"What is your stance on everything?"

The questions catches Sayu off guard and she looks back to the man who looks patient for her response to what he had asked her. "Well I'm more neutral. I just want to be able to survive and get through life really."

"Hm. Interesting." The man nods with a hum truly showing how he is interested in that response.

"I have somewhere to be." Sayu walks away and the man lets her go. She waits until she turns a corner before she lets out a breath of relief. She was scared when that man had pressed her on such things. She doesn't want to get involved in all the craziness. She frankly could do without it. She walks along a sidewalk beside a road leading to some apartment buildings, though she can start to see businesses up ahead. She slightly glances to the road beside her hearing the screeching tires of a car hurrying to a stop. She spots a black SUV that has pulled up to the side of the road. She quickens her pace gaining a little fear as she doesn't see anyone around herself. She tries to scream as she is suddenly grabbed from behind. She finds it is muffled as a hand slaps over her mouth. Her arms reach out towards the buildings with a plead for someone to save her. Her arms are quickly grabbed by an arm covered to the wrist by a black piece of clothing. She is tossed into the SUV with someone shes never seen before following after.

The SUV takes off as soon as the door is shut.

Sayu's hands are tied behind her back and a piece of tape is placed over her mouth to make sure that she stays quiet.
