Star Wars Episode VII The Force Awakens rewritten

I know I'm gonna get hate and death threats shoved up the ass for this, but I don't hate the new trilogy. But if I were rewriting it, is it any indication that I think it's perfect? Of course not! But what I'm doing here is reintroducing familiar elements but putting new spins on them. So try to keep an open mind here, okay?

26. Ch 23 Star Killer Disabled

Meanwhile we see the Y-wings make the home stretch towards the cannons. "Alright Dodonna squadron! Lock onto those cannons and launch your proton torpedoes!" A whole bunch of Y-wings launch enough torpedoes to destroy the cannons.

On the dreadnought, the walkway splits open between Rey and Kylo, while up above Chewbacca uses his good hand to grab onto a pipe while Finn grabs his wrist, the stormtroopers fall down the slope to their deaths, and Phasma rides the same slope, but uses a grappling hook to latch herself onto another balcony. She gives a lasting look at Finn before storming off.

Beneath the split catwalk, a large metal plate closes the space between our heroes and the cannons. Hux is aware of the destruction on the bridge. "Blast! At 97% charge too! Activate the evacuation alarm!" Pryde then presses a button that plays an automated message. "Warning! Star killer is compromised. Report to nearest hangar or escape pod immediately."

A couple of Kylo's warriors approach him. "Master, do we finish her?" "No. We must leave." And so Kylo and his mean hightail out of there. Finn and Chewie appear in the doorway behind Rey. "Come on! We gotta get outta here!"
