Chapter twenty-four: Cursed Children

(Chris pov.)

After departing from Hatter, Maybell and Lindsey, Alice road with Jack and I road on my own.

While we road, Jack said he was feeling hot and we stopped for a break.

Alice and Jack talked about the engagement to my sister. Which I ignored mostly because I knew the whole story. But only thing was, I knew my sister pretty well.

"Cursed children." Alice said.

"It's not that great. I'm sure...Dodo's daughter can explain it better. She knows more about it then I do." I told her.

"What is she? You said the white princess was the first."

"Yes. It is also possible she is alive. Somewhere but only she knows that." I told her.

"So she's..."

"Third. The second, sadly, was Jack's sister. Alicia. She was named after the queen's enemy, the original and one, legend, Alice. Like the book. Though, she wasn't a child. Alicia is very much like the queen. But she falls in the black, side of things. She won't see people die. she wants them suffering. Like how Maybell and Hatter, sorry. David did when Mark was killed in front of them."

"He was?"

"Oh yes. It's used in school to fear the queen now. And it proves, if you work for her, one wrong move, and your dead to the queen." I explained.

"We should keep moving." Jack said.

With that, we made it to the hospital of dreams. I stayed quiet for the most part, till we reached Caterpillar. He was floating in the pool, with his daughter on the edge, standing by.

"There you are." She spoke. "Father. They are here." She said.

"Do you have the ring?" Caterpillar asked.

Jack answered and they began the questioning.

It wasn't till we left the pool that Alice asked about the cursed children.

"What exactly are they?"

"You want to know what we are? Fine. We are the children, more without love, and can't feel love. Loveless children, with no feeling whatsoever. The queen of hearts is like that too. Why else, would she be trying to feel, but she wants more. She doesn't feel for any emotion other then hate and anger." She explained.

"I never got your-"

"It's Nadia. A name I gave myself. My parents never called me anything. Then I found this name, and Caterpillar made me his number one. I helped him get Jack. And I speak to my father about him, which is how we got Hatter's message about the ring." She said.

"I see. How do you know about...the cursed children?" Alice asked.

Nadia paused. Stopping in her tracks then looked at Alice in her eyes. "I happen to be a descendant of the original Alice. The moment I was born, I was sought out by the king himself. The white king, introduced me to his daughter, I took one look at her, and had a vision. I saw, six girls, known to be the cursed children, and they would be the possible suffering of wonderland. I heard about the queen of hearts, and knew this was bad. The white kingdom fell, and all that was left, was to hide." Nadia explained.

"I told the only two other people who had a child left, to run and hide. Far away from here. Lindsey's parents. She wouldn't have the same power if she was more exposed to your world. She became, one of you. An oyster. When we found out about Ana here, it was different. We had her go back and forth to keep an eye on Lindsey at first, but, then Jack found out about your father. And that was when the whole plan came to be."

"Your saying, Chris, or Ana, was there to watch over Lindsey? See if she'd be normal like me?" Alice asked.

"No. But if she gained enough emotions, she might not be the sixth one and the future I saw, wouldn't come to pass. But sadly, I was wrong." Nadia said. "Which is why now, Alicia is here, yes Jack. And Lindsey needs to stay far away. She needs to go back home. Maybell couldn't leave wonderland because Alicia was tracking her. She was the only other person who knew about the white princess location. So she must stay hidden at all times." She finished.

Now that Alice understood the cursed children, she also knew what Lindsey was, and how for once, she really was the princess in a fairy tale. But one that might go badly wrong in a split second.

Caterpillar then went on to finally get Alice to get her father to return to normal. If she didn't, then wonderland was doomed.

Sure Jack cleared his true motive, and Alice wasn't happy about it. Jack did fall for her, but it wasn't the plan. But, either was her falling for Hatter. I'm not stupid, but what makes it worse, is Lindsey was feeling the same way.

Soon Carpenter appeared. Alice was seeing her father.

Nadia left us to work, I followed her leaving them be. "You didn't explain the other, part of what you saw." I told her.

"Ana. If I had told her, then Lindsey would die." Nadia said. "And so would you. Along with the last hope, for wonderland's true ruler. It's better, if that stays hidden." She said. But it wasn't long before he appeared.

"Hello Ladies. Ana. Where is Jack?"

"Mad March?!" I couldn't believe it! He found us. We were done for!
