Kyandi: Hehe! Hey guys!
Roksana: She's been laughing all day.
Kyandi: Of course! My back feels better, I got funny reviews and the ending of this chapter was hilarious.
Roksana: Only to you.
Kyandi: I'm pretty sure Hibari got a laugh out of it...well...later on.
Roksana: Oh, I'm sure he could it absolutely amusing, the little jerk.
Kyandi: Probably. Knowing him, he did.
Roksana: Yeah, I should punch him.
Kyandi: No, you shouldn't. How about we move on instead. Everyone, enjoy and review.
Roksana: Tsk. Kyandi-sama does not own Katekyo Hitman REBORN.
Chapter 37 Facing Truth
"Real...Real Six Funeral Wreaths!?"
There had been several times in Roksana's life in which she had regretted being right, and this just so happened to be one of them.
"Yeap. They are the real ones chosen by me for the new world." Byakuran answered.
"How could that...then the ones we met so far...who are they!?" Tsuna asked.
"I didn't know! There are actually people I didn't know in the Millefiore!?" Irie asked.
"That's because it would be troublesome if I put too much pressure on Shou-chan. This is what I am thinking...just choosing someone that strong is useless, because the key points of the rings' power is a stronger "resolution". Because of that, i did not just search within the mafias. I looked all over the world for strong people with "resolution" surpassing normal people. Plus, it is those that will turn their "resolution" into "loyalty" towards me. The world is so big, thanks to that, I met them. For example, him..." The display behind Byakuran changed, showing a rather scruffy looking man before shifting again to show a town nestled among nature. "As you people see, his hometown loved the nature that is so attractive, and I told him. "Can you let me see your resolution?"."
Roksana and her friends watched as the video showed them a volcano erupting, wiping out the town.
"What is that?!" Tsuna asked.
"It looks like a nightmare." Reborn remarked.
"Agreed." Roksana added.
"He gave up his hometown for me. It's so scary, this is just something not long ago. I didn't think that just showing his loyalty, he would destroy his village and the villagers that brought him up." Byakuran said.
"What is that inside the lava?!" Gokudera questioned.
The video zoomed in to show the very man that had destroyed the village, now soaking in the lava, a burning towel folded on his head. All the while, the man was whistling to himself.
"How could that be..." Kusakabe gasped.
"Should be saying he isn't even a human!" Gokudera added.
"Hehehe, now you guys understand the unique powers of the real Six Funeral Wreaths. Besides this, they had five thousand subordinates. Plus another one hundred A level soldiers." Byakuran told them.
"One hundred A level soldiers?! Before the A level soldiers was only the Six Funeral Wreaths." Spanner told them.
"Because there isn't any so we made it...ah, it's becoming even more interesting!" Byakuran remarked cheerfully.
"Byakuran-san! The match you were saying...what were you planning!?" Irie asked.
"Last time I was always playing with Shou-chan. Do you still remember the game named "Choice"? I am planning to make it real. Details will be informed ten days later. I won't be moving during that, so rest properly." Byakuran told them.
"He really is a crazy marshmallow." Roksana remarked, making Byakuran raise an eyebrow at her in questioning.
"She has a point. Stop the useless talk. To see such a monster, how could we rest properly?" Reborn demanded.
"Oh. You are the Arcobaleno Reborn. Oh, I really want to talk to you more, but you all can't escape. The Melone base you are located in...is going to disappear." Byakuran informed them.
"Disappear?" Tsuna repeated.
"To be accurate, it's because of the super ring transmission system is moving."
"Which means the teleport system using ring flames is completed?" Spanner asked.
"Nope it's not, it only works with the object with such frame because it needs lots of time and powers, so in a lifetime you might not even see it once. So, see you ten days later." Byakuran told them.
Roksana had to raise an arm when a bright light lit up the room. Irie called out to them, telling them to grab onto something. Roksana, being blinded by the light, only felt an arm wrap around her waist, pulling her back. She wasn't sure what happened after that, only that she opened her eyes to find herself on the floor, her friends sprawled out around her, and Hibari hovering over her like the guard dog he had become.
"What. The hell. Was that?" Roksana asked, separating her words up into smaller sentences to communicate her annoyance.
Tsuna crept over to where the floor ended, peering down to find that all of the Melone base, except for the room in which they and the main installation where, was gone.
"To think there's something out there with that kind of power. I mean...the Melone base was massive." Roksana remarked, Hibari moving back so she could get to her feet.
"Yeah. But how did it only leave us here?" Tsuna asked.
"Because he came here with the Sun Vongola ring." Irie told him.
"Sun Vongola ring?" Roksana voiced, turning to where Ryohei had been laying unconscious.
Instead of the future Ryohei, she was greeted with the sight of her era's Ryohei on sitting on the gurney.
"Where is this place to the extreme!?" Ryohei shouted.
"Dull roar, Ryohei, dull roar." Roksana told him, her tone warning him to quiet down.
Ryohei instantly slapped a hand over his mouth with a muttered, "Sorry!"
"We didn't send him here because once he comes here, the Vongola rings are gathered. When they're gathered...the rings created a force field that protected us and the system!" Irie told them.
"You expected this?" Reborn asked.
"I could guess a little of what Byakuran-san wanted to do." Irie replied.
"Sawada! You're still alive! You guys disappeared, I was worried!" Ryohei shouted, his volume rising once more, making Roksana heave a sigh.
"We will explain it to you later, please be quiet." Kusakabe told him. "There is no doubt Sasagawa and the Sun ring coming here is valuable, but...the situation is not good. Stronger than the previous Funeral Wreaths...How would we fight with our powers as of now?"
"Then we just have to do it rough!" Yamamoto declared, sitting up on his gurney.
"Yama...Yamamoto! Since when did you...!" Tsuna cheered, happy to see his friend was alright.
Roksana was glad to see that Yamamoto was fine despite how well Genkishi had thrashed him in their fight.
"But to think normally, it is a battle with no strategy." Spanner remarked.
"What did you say!?" Gokudera demanded.
"Chill, Hayato. He's merely pointing out the obvious." Roksana told Gokudera, Reborn agreeing.
"No! We can do it!" Irie insisted. "It is because of that, that you guys get through all this. The you that is grown can definitely match them. We are not just purely making it hard for you guys. This level of threat was predicted."
Irie moved over to the main installation, messing with the controls until the center opened up.
"Now we will pass it to you guys. Accept it with your heart! The powers granted by the guardians of this era." Irie told them.
From the center of the device, eight cubes flew free, each surrounded by the different flames of the eight different types of flames. Roksana held out her hands as one, surrounded by the glow of a silver halo, flew right into her hands. Roksana caught it and, when she opened her hands, she found a box weapon sitting there with the Vongola Moon Guardian crest on it.
"This is what this era's Tenth Vongola has entrusted to you guys. The Vongola Boxes!" Irie told them.
"But...how?" Roksana asked, looking up from the box in her hands. "I'm dead in this era, so how?"
Upon hearing this, Hibari's head snapped up, his eyes going to Roksana's back. Roksana didn't see his look as she focused on Irie.
"Tsunayoshi-kun's future counterpart knew you would be coming here, even though your future counterpart was no longer here. He had this one made especially for you." Irie told her.
Roksana's eyes dropped down to the box nestled in her hands. She turned the sterling silver thing over in her fingers, wondering what dwelled inside. She fumbled the box and nearly dropped it when there was a sudden and loud, "VOI!" over the communicator still tucked in her ear.
"What the hell, Giannini!?" Roksana asked.
"It's a transmission request from the Varia, but, I'm afraid the Millefiore might be bugging this!" came Giannini's voice.
"It's fine, just let me through, damn it!" came Squalo's demanded.
"He's too scary, so just connect him! Just be mindful of the volume on the headphones!" Tsuna said.
"You little bastards! Are you all still alive!?" Squalo demanded.
"We wouldn't be here talking to you if we weren't, dumbass." Roksana retorted.
"Yeah and you're too damn loud!" Gokudera added.
"Listen up! At this time, we, as the Vongola, are together in this! So as far as you little brats...You asshole!"
Roksana raised an eyebrow. She was pretty sure she had just heard someone smash a small boulder over Squalo's head. Then another voice took over.
"Sawada Tsunayoshi."
"This voice is...!"
"Xanxus." Roksana said, finishing Tsuna's sentence.
Xanxus' voice had become deeper with the added ten years, but she still recognized the voice.
"Have you become a little less immature yet? Show me that the Vongola in ten days time will be the strongest!" Xanxus told Tsuna.
With that, Xanxus cut the communication.
"They cut it off." Yamamoto remarked.
"That damn bastard, always saying whatever the hell he wants!" Gokudera snapped.
"Sounds like a lot of the men in my life." Roksana retorted dryly.
For a moment, the guys around her looked at each other, each of them wondering if they were one of the men she was talking about. Reborn didn't even bother with the thought.
"Well, it doesn't matter. It seems that he's on our side this time around." Reborn remarked, bringing them all back to the subject at hand.
"Um, about Mukuro-sama...do you know the current whereabouts of Rokudo Mukuro?" Chrome asked, finally speaking up.
"Eh...according to what Byakuran-san had said...Mukuro had taken control of a Millefiore solider but was then killed by Byakuran-san's own hands." Irie told them, both Chrome and Tsuna stiffening up.
"I highly doubt that." Roksana remarked. "That man could survive a nuclear holocaust."
"I agree. I don't think that was Byakuran-san said is so. That's because, on the Vendiche's prison's death list...his name never appeared." Irie said in agreement.
"Then that means..."
"He's alive! There's no doubt about it!" Irie said, finishing Tsuna's sentence.
Roksana jolted forward, catching Chrome as, with the wave of relief that washed over her, Chrome collapsed, a happy smile on her face.
"Thank goodness!" Chrome said as she leaned against Roksana's chest.
Irie crouched down in front of her and Roksana, checking on Chrome, but Roksana assured him that she would be fine.
"By the way, there is one thing that's been bothering me. Is it possible for the Vongola family of this era to come out and assist us?" Kusakabe asked, looking up at the device that currently held the future counterparts of Roksana's friends. "If they join us, our fighting strength would dramatically increase.
"True. But unfortunately, that must never happen, no matter what. If the Tsunayoshi-kun from the past this era's Tsunayoshi-kun were to exist at the same time, there's a chance that the time-space continuum might be torn apart and the world could disappear." Irie explained.
"Wh-what did you say?!" Kusakabe exclaimed.
"That is why I'm counting on all of you. There's no other choice but for the Vongola ring holders to do all that they possibly can." Irie told them.
"Tsuna. There's still one important thing you haven't asked Shouichi yet." Reborn pointed out.
"Huh?" Tsuna replied.
"Irie Shouichi. Won't you come and join our family?" Reborn asked.
Everyone shared a look, a few of them surprised that something hadn't been said sooner.
"Huh? Is that really alright?" Irie asked.
"I don't know why anyone is bothering to ask." Roksana remarked, making everyone look at her. "I mean, at this point, you're kind of stuck with us, whether you like it or not. You and Spanner, both."
"I agree." Reborn said. "So what will you do, Tsuna?"
"Why is it always me?" Tsuna demanded.
"You are a boss. It's your job to decide." Reborn replied.
"Please say it from your heart. If you don't want them, say so, Tenth!" Gokudera encouraged.
"Um, ah...this is why I didn't want to be in the mafia. Even so, Irie has done a lot of bad things to us." Tsuna remarked.
"That might be true, but so has Mukuro. If I remember right, you weren't exactly on good terms with Hayato at first, either. And when Hibari and I first met, he constantly got into fights with me and he still beats you up. Yet, all three of them are members of your guardians." Roksana pointed out.
"You have a point. And Irie has done a lot of dangerous things for us, so from now on, please continue to lend us your strength." Tsuna said, turning to look at Irie. "I'm counting on you too, Spanner."
Irie was so happy, he took hold of Tsuna's hand in both of his.
"It'll be my pleasure! Please treat me well! Since that's settled, there's a lot of work I have to do! I really want to speak with you guys some more but first I must think of a way to conceal this device or else." Irie said.
"If it's technical stuff, I'll help." Spanner told him.
"Thank you, Spanner! This will be a very busy ten days, for sure." Irie remarked.
"Um, is there anything that we can help with?" Tsuna asked.
"Hm? You really shouldn't force yourself, Tsunayoshi-kun. What you really want to do is to see your friends at your hideout, right? Let's part ways in an hour. Then, we'll meet up with you guys later, alright?" Irie told him.
"If that's settled," Roksana turned to look at Hibari, her hands going to her hips. "You...I have a bone to pick with you."
Hibari raised an eyebrow, unaware of what he could have done this time. He didn't get the answer right away. Deciding to head back to base, everyone headed for the surface. Hibari instantly took off on his own, though, not before Kusakabe passed on to him a letter left behind by his future self. More interested in getting back to Ryoka, Roksana let him go. She would shock him soon enough.
For now...she wanted to see her friends and little Ryoka.
They were all silent as they made their way through the busy streets of Namimori. All of them were ready to see their friends, to return to the place that, for the time being, was their home. As they drew near the hatch, they found the others waiting for them. At the front of the group, clinging tightly to Bianchi's leg, was Ryoka, Marc standing at her side. The moment the little girl's eyes found Roksana, she let out a cry of mix relief and joy, tears in her eyes as she released Bianchi and made a mad dash for Roksana.
"Mama!" she yelled.
"Ryoka!"
Roksana darted ahead of her friends, meeting the child half way, crouching for Ryoka to run directly into her arms. Ryoka threw her arms around Roksana's neck, crying for all she was worth as Roksana wrapped her arms around her and stood, lifting the child off the ground.
"Sweet girl, why are you crying?" Roksana asked, trying to sooth the child.
"I was scared, Mama!" Ryoka replied.
"Scared of what? You were perfectly safe with Bianchi and the others." Roksana told her.
Ryoka gave a mighty shake of her head.
"That's not it!" Ryoka insisted.
"Then what was it? Why were you so scared?" Roksana asked.
"I was scared you would die again, Mama, and wouldn't come back!"
That one little sentence was a shot directly to Roksana's heart. While Ryoka had put on a brave face the night before, had smiled and laughed, as if nothing bothered her, the truth was, the thought of Roksana leaving, had scared her. Roksana couldn't blame her. Ryoka had grown up without her mother only for the younger version of her mother to show up. To see Roksana go off to battle after that...Roksana couldn't imagine the fear Ryoka had felt.
"I'm so sorry, Ryoka. I promise you. I won't leave you alone. Even if I leave for a little while, I will come back." Roksana told the little girl. Turning to look over Ryoka's shoulder, Roksana held an arm out to Marc. "Are you going to come give your sister a hug or not, Marc?"
Marc charged forward then, throwing his arms around Roksana's waist. The two children clinging to Roksana was all it took for all of the others to hurry forward, everyone glad to see each other. Roksana was glad to have all of her friends safe and sound.
Now she just had to explain to Ryoka where her father was and why he looked like petulant teenager.
As far as the teenager in question was concerned...Hibari had retreated to one of his biggest places of comfort; Nami Jr. High.
The boy was laying on the roof, staring at the letter in his hand. He recognized his own handwriting scrawled across the page, and knew that it had to, in fact, be from his future self because it included the nickname he referred to Roksana with, a name he had never once used aloud; Little Moon.
It was a ridiculous name, far to sappy for someone like him to use, but given her silver hair and all her affiliations with the moon, Hibari had thought it a fitting name for Roksana. Of course, he could have also gone with "dragon" for all the verbal fire she spat at him most of the time.
The fact of the matter was, no one but him knew he referred to Roksana as Little Moon, and, yet, the letter included it. He was forced to accept that the letter was from his future self, and, at the same time, was forced to accept the fact listed in the letter. The letter, itself, had spelled out the last ten yeas for him, starting just a little while after the fight for the Vongola rings.
It told him of how his relationship with Roksana had changed, how, not long after the ring battles, he had taken the relationship leaps and bounds further than Roksana had probably been ready for. His future self had admitted that he had probably pushed Roksana too far, but, in order to insure that no one took her from him, he had justified pushing her until she relented.
Which, according to his future self, hadn't been an easy task.
Roksana relenting on anything involving him happened about as often as Halley's Comet passed the earth.
Hibari admitted that he had to re-read the next paragraph a few times before the information finally processed and stuck in his brain. The next paragraph told him how, not long after that, Roksana found out she was pregnant. According to the letter, Roksana had been furious, throwing things at him and whacking him with anything she could get her hands on.
Apparently, though, she had been angrier about the fact that she was just in her third year of middle school and was to be a mother. While she was more than happy to eventually be a mother and spend her days taking care of the children, apparently she had wanted a full education first. Not that being pregnant had stopped her from what the letter said. Roksana had continued to go about her studies even as her stomach continued to grow.
And then there had been "that" day just a month shy of her due date.
The letter told Hibari that his future self had moved Roksana to his family's estate after he had noticed a man lurking around her house. By that point, Roksana had finally told him why assassins had been sent after her. At least...she had told him a partial truth. Thinking that this man was another assassin, he had taken a very pregnant Roksana to his house, putting her on bed rest himself.
Not that Roksana was happy with it.
That day, there had been an incident at the school. Instead of calling Hibari, who would have probably killed someone, Roksana had been called to deal with it as the vice-chairman of the Disciplinary Committee. Roksana, without telling anyone, had made her way to school, the man taking the chance to attack her. The letter told him that by the time the household staff had told him she had slipped out of the house and he had headed out looking for her, it was too late. When he had finally found her, Roksana had already been injured, taking a shot to the chest in an attempt to keep the bullet from hitting her stomach.
Since Roksana had only been fifteen, just shy of sixteen, by then, legally, he hadn't been able to marry her. Not that she had wanted that while still in middle school. Because of that, when she finally reached the hospital and the doctors admitted they could only save either Roksana or the baby, Hibari hadn't been allowed to make the choice.
Roksana, herself, made the choice.
His future self admitted that he should have seen her choice coming, that he should have known she would pick their child over her own life. Still, knowing her like he had, his future self admitted that it was still like a cement block being dropped in his gut when she told the doctors to save her child.
Roksana had only lived long enough to see her daughter's face once.
Apparently, Roksana's father and step-mother had wanted to take the child since he, himself, was still in school, and he his own mother had agreed, but Hibari's future self had refused. That little girl, with hair as black as his own, but eyes like her mother's, minus the touch of green, had been all he had left of Roksana. Roksana had given her life protecting that child, bringing her into the world.
Hibari would insure the child grew up safe and happy.
In memory of Roksana, he had name the child Ryoka, mixing his given name with Roksana's for the name.
For the most part, it seemed, Ryoka had been just as safe and happy as he had aimed for her to be. Though, his future self had noticed all the longing looks the child had given the picture of Roksana that he kept around. When the future Tsuna had first started planning this whole fight against the Millefiore and had told Hibari that it would included bringing everyone, including the past Roksana, to the future, his future self had jumped on the opportunity to see Roksana again.
Evidently, the past Roksana hadn't been too happy with his future self's "greeting".
At least, technically, he had taken her first kiss like he had promised he would.
The rest of the letter went on to explain all his future self had learned about the man behind all the assassination attempts against Roksana. A twisted man by the name Nicoli. His future self hadn't been able to find out much, but he cautioned against trying to get the information out of Roksana. He had tried a few times during Roksana's pregnancy, but just mentioning Nicoli's name was enough to send the girl into a fit unlike any he had ever seen from her.
Instead of encouraging his past self to get the information from Roksana, he insisted that his past self not get Roksana pregnant. If the future remained unchanged and that assassin still showed up, Roksana would be able to defend herself and stay alive if she didn't have to worry about the life of her unborn child.
Not to mention that he was convinced that his past self would be happier without the beating he had gotten when Roksana had gotten back the positive pregnancy test.
The letter implored Hibari to keep Roksana close, to keep a close eye on her, because he didn't want to find out how angry he could be, how...lonely it was without her.
Hibari folded the letter, after re-reading it for the fourth time, and tucked it away. So, in the future, he had a daughter and Roksana was dead. At the moment, he didn't know how to feel about either. Scratch that, he knew how he felt about Roksana being dead.
He was pissed.
That anyone would or could harm her, take he from him, really pissed him off. Roksana had basically forced her way into his life, insisting they be friends. Now she had to take responsibility for how possessive he had become of her.
"There you are."
Speak of the devil and she shall appear.
Hibari raised an eyebrow as Roksana appeared in his line of sight, leaning over the boy. Someone had bandaged the cut on her face and he was sure the other cuts were bandaged too.
"I was sure you'd be here. I mean, where else would you go but your precious school." Roksana remarked. "As convenient it is to be able to find you so easily, I did say I had a bone to pick with you."
He had a feeling that he now knew what the bone was, too. Roksana turned, gesturing to someone behind her. Curious, and if he was being honest, still in denial of having a child, Hibari sat up.
He couldn't remain in denial when Roksana pulled a little girl up in front of her.
"This...this is your fault." Roksana told Hibari, her hands resting on the child's shoulders.
Hibari, forced to confront the fact that this was, indeed, his child, merely stared at Ryoka. She had Roksana's nose and eyes, as well as her fair complexion, but the child had his mouth, the shape of his face, his black hair which was pulled into pigtails to match her mother's. This was definitely a child that was a mix of him and Roksana.
And the moment her eyes met Hibari's, she let out a cheer of "Daddy!" and threw herself at Hibari.
Hibari stiffened as the little girl wrapped her arms around his neck and he had the urge to reach for his tonfa. Only the knowledge that this was his child, as well as the glare Roksana gave him over Ryoka's shoulder, kept him from reaching for it. Hibari merely leaned back on his hands, letting the child hug him no matter how much he didn't like being crowded like that.
Only because of the fact that she was his and Roksana's daughter did he allow her to hang off him.
It was then that Hibari noticed the young boy peeking at him from behind Roksana. When he saw the same black hair and blue-purple eyes as Ryoka's, he almost thought that his future self had left something out of the letter, but then he recognized the facial features that Roksana shared with her father in the boy's face. He had a pretty good idea on who the boy was.
Roksana saw where he was looking and half turned to look down at the boy.
"Right, you probably didn't recognize him at first. This is my baby brother, Marc. Apparently, here in the future...our father and my step-mother are dead." Roksana told Hibari. "That aside...are you just going to stay here? You know, your future self has his own hideout away from the others. It's even traditionally Japanese in style."
As nice as that sounded, Hibari wanted something a little more familiar to him at the moment, which meant Nami Jr. High. Roksana could see that on his face even without him saying anything.
"Have it your way, then, but I'm taking the children back to the hideout. Try not to give Kusakabe too much of a heart attack. He's not a teenager anymore." Roksana told him. "Ryoka, come on. Your father wants to stay here tonight."
Ryoka released Hibari, turning to rush to her mother's side. The little girl grabbed Roksana's hand, hanging off her while looking back at Hibari. When those big pleading eyes, so similar to her mother's in color, landed on him, Hibari's mouth twisted slightly. He instantly felt guilty for not going back with them, and, judging from the grin on Roksana's face...she knew it.
"Have fun with the new knowledge of fatherhood." Roksana told him before turning, pulling Ryoka and Marc with her.
Hibari frowned as he watched her leave.
Sometimes, he really wanted to bite her.
-0-0-0-0-
The next day, as Ryoka and Marc went out with Tsuna, the children and the others, Roksana went back to Nami Jr. High, finding Hibari, once again, on the roof.
"I figured you'd be hungry by now."
Hibari, laying back on the roof, opened his eyes to look up at Roksana as she held out a packed lunch for him. After so many weeks without Roksana's cooking, Hibari practically pounced on the food she offered him. As he dug into the food, Roksana took a seat next to him, pulling a lollipop out of her pocket to unwrap it and stick it into her mouth.
"Ryoka?" Hibari asked, looking around as he took a bite.
"She went out with the other children and Tsuna and the boys. The others were going to pay visits to their houses, check up on their families." Roksana replied.
"You didn't go?"
"I've already been by my house...it's a disaster zone. Only a crumpled frame of the first floor remains. I don't know what happened there, but it's not a place I can go home to anymore. Not in this time period."
The almost wistful sound of her voice, had him looking up from his food and over at her. Roksana was staring down at her lap, lost in thought. She was probably missing her family and her home. Then she heaved a sigh.
"Well, we'll find a way home eventually. Have you tried opening your Vongola box yet?" Roksana asked, turning to look up at him.
"No." Hibari replied simply, going back to his eating.
"Nor have I." Roksana said, pulling her box out of her pocket. "I wonder what's inside."
Now finished with his food, Hibari sat the bento box aside and laid back down down, crossing his legs as he pulled out his own box. Tucking one arm under his head, he examined the box, Hibird flying down to perch on his foot that was hanging in the air. Roksana greeted the bird as it trilled at her. Idly petting the bird with a single finger tip, Roksana turned her eyes back to her Vongola box, turning it over. Part of her was a little nervous about opening the box.
She was curious, of course, but she couldn't help being nervous about what dwelled in the box.
Both were still sitting there, in silence, when Tsuna and the others showed up, coming out on the roof of another building. They were so loud, their voices carried over to Roksana and Hibari. Roksana shook her head while Hibari ignored them, still staring at his box.
"Those guys are really in high spirits! Looks like there's no problem. I don't have to care about them right now."
The sudden voice had Hibari flying to his feet, drawing his tonfas as he moved in front of a still sitting Roksana. Even though he was ten years older, Roksana still recognized that voice. Both she and Hibari peered upward toward the roof over the door leading back inside to find none other than the future Dino sitting there.
"Wait, wait, Kyoya! Don't rush." Dino told the boy. "I will train you properly."
"Dino." Roksana called in surprised greeting.
Upon seeing Roksana, Dino's face lit up and he jumped from his perch. Grinning happily in the way that only Dino could, he approached the two as Roksana got to her feet.
"Roksana! You don't know how happy I am to see your face again!" Dino said, going in for a hug.
Hibari, who was still standing somewhat in front of Roksana, raised a tonfa, a warning look on his brooding face. Dino came to a stop, holding his hands up before him in a look of surrender. Roksana rolled her eyes. Turning her eyes back to Dino, she braced her hands on her hips.
"You might be cuter, Dino, but it seems you still have that push over personality of yours where Hibari is concerned." Roksana remarked.
"C-cuter?!" Dino repeated, his eyes darting to Hibari's whose expression just went stormier than before.
Dino could already feeling the killing intent rolling off Hibari in waves as the boy glared at him. He had almost forgotten how possessive Hibari could be of Roksana. Glaring at Dino, his eyes promising the man pain, Hibari took hold of Roksana's wrist and yanked her after him.
"Hibari? What the hell? Stop yanking!" Roksana protested as Hibari drug her back inside the school.
The door closed behind them, Dino watching and waiting, knowing that something was about to happen that was going to either anger Hibari or Roksana, because that was just how their relationship was. Sure enough, just moments later, Dino flinched as the most unholiest of screams reached him, followed by, "You jackass!".
Downstairs, on their way out of the school building, Tsuna and his friends stopped as they heard the scream.
"Was that...Roksana?" Gokudera asked.
A few moments later, a livid Roksana came flying down the stairs, her hands clenched in fists and muttering Russian curses under her breath.
"Roksana!? What happened?" Tsuna asked, concerned.
Roksana stopped when she saw them, her eyes going from her friends to the children.
"Children, cover your ears. All four of you." Roksana told them. Marc, Ryoka and I-pin instantly did as told, Tsuna having to cover Lambo's ears for him. Once once their ears were covered did Roksana let loose the words she had been holding back. "The bastard bit me!"
"What!? What are you talking about?" Gokudera asked,
"Hibari! He always says he's going to bite people to death, but I never thought he'd actually bite me!" Roksana said, pulling back the collar of her shirt to show them the bruising bite mark on her shoulder.
"H-he really bit you!? Why!?" Tsuna asked.
"Beats me. That guy is crazy. And after I came all the way here to bring him food." Roksana remarked fixing her collar.
Taking hold of Ryoka's hand, Roksana headed for the school doors, Marc following behind her. Sometimes she really didn't get Hibari.
Didn't occur to her that he was jealous.
Not that he'd admit it.

Kyandi: Hahahahahaha!
Roksana: It's not funny!
Kyandi: It's hilarious! He finally fulfilled his promise!
Roksana: I still don't think it's funny. Make him bite the marshmallow.
Kyandi: There's going to be a lot of people he's going to want to bite before this arc is over.
Roksana: Lord help me.
Kyandi: It'll be alright. Anyway, everyone enjoy and review.
Roksana: We'll return tomorrow.
Kyandi: Bye-bye!
