Opening my eyes, I found myself in a desert wasteland. Standing up, I held my head, with me looking at my hands. I wasn't burnt up, or dead for that matter. Standing up, I looked around, with me seeing a destroyed city in one direction, and in the other, what looked to be a storm.

Knowing that the storm wasn't the best idea, I started walking in the direction of the city, but was pulled back. Getting lifted off the ground, I looked back and saw the storm, my eyes widening as it was attracting all metal as I didn't feel the pull on anything other than my bow and arrows. Looking down, I gritted my teeth as I was lifted up too high to let my gear go, knowing that the fall would kill me, meaning that I had no choice but to fly into that direction.

Later

Getting tossed onto the ground, I rolled and faced what looked to be a throne, with me pulling out an arrow as I saw the cape and helmet of Magneto. "Magneto!" I said, pissed.

"No." I heard, confusing me as it was a female voice, before I remembered the only person other than Magneto who could control metal. Seeing them turn, I saw that it was an adult Lorna, shocking me. "Polaris." She said, with me relaxing.

"Your older than what you should be, that shouldn't be possible, unless I'm not in the right time." I said, standing up and thinking to my self. "What happened to everyone, where is Wanda?" I asked, with her levitating herself over to me, landing in front of me.

"She burned, just like the rest of the world." She said, with me falling to my knees. "Humans started this war, and it was the mutants who finished it." She said, with me looking up at her as she narrowed her eyes at me.

"At what cost?" I asked, standing up, glaring at her. "A war that wasn't supposed to happen, happens?" I said, looking around and seeing parts of updated sentinels around. "What happened after I went missing?" I asked, turning to face her.

"The sentinels defeated Apocalypse, but in return, he transferred his consciousness into them, becoming sentient. They killed everyone after that, and I'm pretty sure I'm the last person alive." She said, with me frowning. "They had a back up plan, I remember Wanda telling me about it when we went into hiding, that they could remove his powers, but they needed time." She said, with me gritting my teeth.

"What happened to the S.H.I.E.L.D helicarrier?" I asked, with her looking at me.

"You're standing on it." She said, with me looking down. Dusting the dirt away, I saw that she was correct, as I saw the S.H.I.E.L.D logo.

"Lorna, you just might as well have saved the world." I said, standing up, confusing her.

"What do you mean, saved the world, don't you see what it has become!?" She yelled, with me turning to face her.

"It was only in testing phase, when I was still around, and I know of one thing in there that could help us, all of us!" I said, with me pulling out an arrow and stabbing the ground, with the metal melting away. Moving to the side, I watched as a large enough hole was made. "Time Travel." I said, jumping in to begin my search, only ever being in here once.

Later

Walking down a long hallway, I could still see sparks from the wires. While the helicarrier had no power at the moment, it was well known that it was solar powered. Reaching the lab, I stepped in, with me seeing a main frame computer. Making my way over to it, I plugged my tablet in, with it powering up.

Searching through the computer, I smirked once I found what I was looking form, but frowned once I saw what was needed. "Dame it, I'm so close, I cant be stuck here!?" I said, hitting the computer. Hearing movement, I turned around and saw metal parts flying around, with them stacking onto each other and forming a large device. Looking at the computer, I pressed enter and watched as a suit opened up.

There was only one, with me grabbing it. Looking at the door, I saw Lorna standing there, her arms crossed. "There, you have what you need." She said, looking over at the device. "Make sure that you prevent this from happening, ever." She said, with me walking over to the device and putting on the suit. "So, how does it work?" She asked, with me facing her once finished.

"It uses Asgardian magic and science to send me back in time." I said, with me using its damaged computer to set a time and date, but I was unable to set coordains. "From there, I go back, stop the sentinels from becoming sentient." I said, with her nodding.

"If that's the case, then find the one known as Master Mold, it should be a head then, held at a S.H.I.E.L.D. base in Boston." She said, with me nodding as I turned on the device. Standing in the center, I looked at the lights, then back at Polaris.

"Wanda would be proud of the women that you've become." I said, just before I disappeared.

Later

Appearing hundreds of feet in the air, I knew that I would be screw. Taking out an arrow, I opened its case, with rope wrapping around me and opening a parachute. After a good bit of falling, I saw a familiar house. Making my way down, I landed in the drive way, with me discarding the parachute. Walking over to the door, I knocked on it. "I got it!" I heard, making me smile. Seeing the door open, I saw the Lorna as a kid, looking up at me in shock. "Mom, Dad, its Dakota!" She said, where I heard feet hitting the ground then reaching me.

They grabbed her, hugging her as if I was there to take her. "Calm down, she's not in trouble." I said, with them relaxing a bit. "I need to get Boston, to prevent a war from happening." I said, with them looking shocked.

"You can take my bike." He said, tossing me his keys.

Walking over to the motorcycle, I stopped, with me walking back and getting on my knees, giving Lorna a hug. They were confused, with me knowing that they were. Breaking the hug, I brushed her hair. "Just know, that you are a hero." I said, standing up and rubbing her head before walking away.

Later that night

Driving the motorcycle up to the base, I took notice of the canon taking aim at me. Pulling out an arrow, I shot at it, followed by a large explosion that destroyed it. Hearing the alarms go off, I jumped over the spikes and continued on. Pulling out another arrow, I shot behind me, destroying the outpost that shined its light on me.

Sliding the bike, I jumped off and rushed over to the door before it closed, with me sliding in. Seeing a guard at the controls, I fired two arrows at him, with him ducking. Looking at the arrows, he looked back at me, with one of them exploding while the other one cut the power to the entire compound. Getting up, I started running further in, with me seeing a group round the corner.

Seeing one with a grenade launcher take aim, I shot an arrow at him, followed by an explosion that took out him and his friends. Seeing the elevator, I shot another arrow at it, with it melting the door. Once inside, I stepped aside and shot a arrow up, with me getting pulled up. As I was lifted up, I saw the elevator, with me shooting its cords, making it fall down.

Reaching the top, I shot another arrow at the doors, with it melting away. Climbing inside, I shot an arrow to the left as I continued forward, with me hearing someone scream in pain. Walking up to the glass doors, I saw Trask trying to restart his computer. Kicking the doors in, he turned to me, with me pulling out an arrow as shooting him, knocking him over his desk. Seeing the head of the sentinel, I started shooting explosive arrows around the room, with me shooting Master Mold last.

Hearing guns train on me, I placed my bow down, with me being out of arrows. Getting grabbed, my hands were placed behind my back, with me being hand cuffed soon after. "Director Fury will want to hear about this." The guard said, dragging me out of the room, with me staring at the destroyed room, knowing that I had won.

The next day

"You know, I never expected that this would ever happen." Fury said as he stood in front of me, with my hands cuffed to the chair. "That you, of all people, would defect." He said, with me shrugging.

"When the whole world was at stake, I had to." I said, with him nodding.

"The suit that you were in, it isn't a proto type, is it?" He asked, with me shaking my head at him. "How did you survive that night, six months ago?" He questioned, with me nodding as it was a good question.

"I don't know how I survived, just that I was sent forward in time. How far, I want to say about ten years." I said, with him nodding his head as he took a seat. "I saw what became of the world, there was nothing, everyone was dead, even S.H.I.E.L.D." I said, with him narrowing his eyes at me. "All except one person, and I'm glad that she was still alive." I said, narrowing my eyes at him.

"Let me guess, Wanda?" He asked, with me shaking my head at him.

"No, Lorna. If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't of been able to prevent Apocalypse from transferring his conscious into Master Mold." I said, with him narrowing his eyes at that.

"I know that you are telling the truth, because only me and everyone else in that base knew of Master Mold. The fact that you were wearing the suit that we are still using to prefect time travel, only means that your mission was a success." He said, looking over at the glass. "As of this point, you are stripped of your status, you never existed." He said, with my cuffs getting removed. "You can do as you please, but never, attack another S.H.I.E.L.D. base." He said, with me standing up and taking his hand. "This is your retirement." He said, turning around and leaving, with me standing there, knowing that this was going to happen with my actions.

Two days later

Walking up to the gate that was once my home, I pressed the button on the side, looking in the camera. Hearing the gate unlock, I pushed it open, with me walking through. Closing it, I started walking down the road, with me seeing Wanda running out the door, looking at me. I started jogging over to her, with her running at me in return. Meeting half way, I picked her up in a hug, laughing as she started crying. Placing her down, she placed her hands on my face, pinching my cheeks.

Knowing what she was thinking, I nodded, grabbing her hand and kissing it. "I'm real, trust me!" I said, with her using her powers one me as I saw myself get coated, seeing if I was some sort of Illusion. After a bit, she kissed me, with me kissing her back. Breaking the kiss, I set her down, not breaking the hug. "Do I have a story for you!" I said, with me leading her back to the house to tell her everything that had happened.
