He turns on his commlink. "General Leia? You there?" "Copy, Finn." "I made it to turret control but… They're all dead…" "Oh. That's dreadfully unfortunate."
Finn hears more blaster fire right outside the door. "Hold on. I found some more survivors. I'm gonna go help them out." "Copy that."
Finn runs into the halls but sees no one. He does however hear some blaster fire coming from around a corner. He peers into what appears to be a briefing room with some cover points being fought out by Resistance fighters and stormtroopers alike. There are some humans amongst the Resistance fighters, but most of them are made of aliens. And it's here where Finn sees the alien fighters using their strengths to overpower the enemy troopers.
These include another wookiee using its brute strength to throw a stormtrooper at some others, knocking them down, a Squamatan spitting corrosive acid in the face of another stormtrooper, a Vor dive bombing its targets, and and Echani demonstrating its agility when fighting hand-to-hand with them. Even the Gungan from earlier demonstrates his prowess against the troopers without much effort. Finn is amazed by the display and helps the other fighters finish off the squad of stormtroopers. "Everyone! To the bridge!" The Gungan however seems rather suspicious. "Why? Yousa no teenkin' weesa no knowin where it is?"
Finn's face sinks. "Look. I'm really sorry for what I said on Kokash. I guess some of that New Order propaganda hadn't completely worn off of me yet… But you all displayed specialized talents that the Order doesn't have. That's how we will survive." Finn leaves and slowly but surely, the others follow behind him.
