Chapter 26: The Deep Freeze
In the Xiaolin Temple...
Raimundo, Omi, Kimiko, Alice and Clay happily came out of the temple while wearing their swim wear.
Alice wore a pale blue and pink plaid bikini top with a trim of white frills and spaghetti straps. There was a large bow sewn on front. The bottom was a pale blue bathing suit with frilly pink and blue plaid fabric across the top and string ribbons residing on each hip. Her pink hair was high, short and spread out ponytail with straight across bangs while a bright blue ribbon tied into a bow was on her head.
Kimiko wore a dark green swim wear with purple green sunglasses lying on her head. There was a matching green swimming cap on her head and wore green purple sandals on her feet.
"Dudes, can you believe the man broke down and gave us a day off?"Raimundo asked while holding a soccer ball and few colourful bath sheets.
"No, it is so very much unlike Master Fung."Omi commented. "Especially when we have so much to learn."
"Easy there, partner."Clay reminded. "You gotta learn to chill."
Omi stared at Clay in confusion.
"Kick back?"Clay said.
Omi shrugged in confusion causing Alice to sigh.
"He means try to relax, Omi."Alice admitted.
"Got it, Allie."Omi assured confidently.
"I'll get the barbie going!"Kimiko remarked and took out the Eye of Dashi. "Eye of Dashi!"
The Eye of Dashi made a cloud blast a bolt of thunder on the grill to create a small fire as Alice placed a bunch of kebabs and hotdogs on the grill.
"Tangle Web Comb!"Alice chanted.
Alice used the Tangle Web Comb to grab the cold drinks from her bag and place them near the beach chairs.
"Fist of Tebigong!"Clay chanted.
Clay uses the Fist of Tebigong to create a hole in the ground.
"Orb of Tornami!"Omi chanted.
The Orb of Tornami poured water into the hole to make it look like a swimming pool.
Alice chuckled in delight as she relaxed on her beach chair which was next to Kimiko's.
Raimundo and Omi were playing in the pool as Clay prepared to jump in.
"Ah, this is the life."Alice remarked as she stretched a little. "It feels like we survived all the battles against the forces of evil just for this moment. We deserve this reward for our great work."
"You said it, sugar."Clay chuckled.
Raimundo nodded. "That is true."
"This is most strange to me."Omi mumbled.
"Totally right."Kimiko remarked.
"This is most strange to me."Omi mumbled.
Kimiko looked at Alice.
"Hey Allie, why did you about a first kiss the other day?"Kimiko asked.
"Nothing! Absolutely nothing, Kim!"Alice assured with a nervous smile and thought. "I can't tell her or the boys I got kissed by Chase! I'll be the laughing stock just like in 5th Grade!"
"Okay."Kimiko said simply.
Kimiko focused back on reading her magazine causing Alice to sigh in relief.
"Surfs up, Omi!"Raimundo laughed with a smirk.
Raimundo began splashing Omi with water causing the small boy to shout.
"Cannonball!"Clay shouted.
Clay jumped into the pool and landed on Omi.
"Who wants to catch a few waves?"Raimundo asked while holding a surfboard.
Omi and Clay didn't respond.
"Sword of the Storm!"Raimundo chanted.
Raimundo uses the Sword of the Storm to create a big surf wave to ride on that sends Omi and Clay up in the process.
"Hey, dudes look!"Raimundo remarked. "I'm hanging 10!"
However the wave approached where Kimiko and Alice were causing everything to get washed out including the two girls.
Then Dojo slithered forward holding the Ancient Scroll.
"Hey! Gang! Got a live one incoming!"Dojo announced and opened the Ancient Scroll to show the monks the newly activated Shen Gong Wu. "It's the Shen Gong Wu called the Lunar Locket. Whoever possesses it, can control the phases of the moon!"
"Really?"Alice asked as she twisted her ponytail to dry it.
"There is no time to lose!"Dojo warned and then notice the grill. "Is that a double garlic bratwurst I smell grilling?"
Dojo reached out to grab the food, but Omi quickly placed a lid to cover the grill.
"There is too much at stake Dojo."Omi stated firmly. "I'm afraid this can not wait."
"Tell that to my stomach."Dojo insisted. "He so hates to be teased."
The Xiaolin monks go to a snowy mountains to retrieve the Lunar Locket while wearing their coats and clothes to keep them warm from the cold weather.
"There it is!"Kimiko said. "There's the Lunar Locket!"
Raimundo, Omi, Kimiko, Alice and Clay sees Jack's Dude-Bot heading towards the Lunar Locket.
"That bot is going to get there first!"Kimiko warned.
"Not if I can help it!"Clay responded and went off Dojo. "Seismic Kick, EARTH!"
Clay slammed his foot on the ground causing a small avalanche to slither down the Lunar Locket next to the cowboy's feet.
The Dragon of Earth picked up the Lunar Locket.
"Bravo, Clay!"Alice chuckled.
"Just because we're mortal enemies, does it mean we can't be friends?"the Dude-Bot asked.
The Dude-Bot used his laser eye to cut through the rock just a bit higher than Clay's feet.
The rock fell off the mountain along with Clay, sending the cowboy sliding past his companions.
Raimundo, Kimiko, Omi and Alice watched as the robot used an odd magnet hand to bring the Lunar Locket towards him.
Raimundo leapt up and clapped his hands together.
"Typhoon boom, WIND!"Raimundo shouted.
Raimundo made a spiralling air spin to bring the Lunar Locket into his hands, but the Dude-Bot grabbed the Wu at the last second.
"What do you say afterwards, we throw around the old pigskin?"the Dude-Bot asked.
The Dude-Bot threw a medium sized snowball at Raimundo, who kicked it away.
"Sorry, I don't play ball with machines."Raimundo replied.
Raimundo tried to fight the Dude-Bot, but got caught.
"Was it something I said?"the Dude-Bot asked.
The Dude-Bot threw Raimundo causing Kimiko to rush forward.
"Judolette Flip, FIRE!"Kimiko yelled.
Kimiko kicked Dude-Bot away causing him to drop the Lunar Locket and land in a pile of snow.
"Can't stand the heat?"Kimiko asked with a smirk. "Then got off the mountain, tin-man!"
Suddenly the Dude-Bot flew a few inches high while holding a big ball of snow before dropping it on Kimiko.
The Dragon of Fire screamed as she rolled away, leaving Alice and Omi the only ones standing.
The Dude-Bot landed in front of Alice and Omi.
"Perhaps we should add the three of us to our buddy list?"the Dude-Bot requested.
"Freeze Powder, ICE!"Alice shouted.
Alice sent ice shards towards towards the Dude-Bot, pinning him against snowy ground.
The Dude-Bot removed the sharp ice shards on his body.
"You could really use a new hairstyle."the Dude-Bot suggested.
"My hair is totally fine, machine!"Alice snapped angrily.
Alice rushed forward to kick the Dude-Bot, but the bot sends her landing in a pile of snow.
"Tornado Strike, WATER!"Omi yelled out.
Omi sent water strikes on the Dude-Bot to send him landing on a hole of snow.
"Why do we have to fight all the time?"the Dude-Bot asked as he stood up. "Life is too short."
Omi began to fight the Dude-Bot, but the small boy's fighting skills caused no damage to the tin head.
The Dude-Bot flicked Omi away and the Dragon of Water landed where his friends were.
"We could've been brothers."the Dude-Bot admitted and began to shake a little.
Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay, Alice and Omi began heading towards the Lunar Locket.
Wuya glared at Jack.
"Get that Shen Gong Wu before we lost it!"Wuya reminded.
Jack pressed a button and a robot claw came out from his jet.
"Nobody wants to be my friend."the Dude-Bot said as he began to tear up. "I never had a real friend."
The five monks were about to catch the Lunar Locket, but the claw from Jack's jet took it.
"Let's go, Dude-Bot!"Jack ordered. "We got what we came for!"
"I don't like being human!"the Dude-Bot cried.
The Dude-Bot, unhappy with being able to have emotions, tears out the Heart of Jong and throws it away.
"NOOOOO!"Wuya and Jack shouted in unison.
The Heart of Jong landed into a chasm.
"Go down there and get me the Heart of Jong!"Wuya demanded.
"But it's dark!"Jack complained. "Anyway the dweebs will never find it and it's...dark."
Jack flew away with the Lunar Locket as the monks glanced below the chasm.
"We must find another way inside."Omi stated.
Later that Night...
Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay, Alice and Omi were talking to each other in a room inside the Xiaolin Temple.
"Sometimes, we must lose to win."Omi stated.
"Awww! Don't go all Master Fung on us, Omi!"Raimundo complained. "Last thing we need right now is another lesson."
"It appears to me that you do."Master Fung answered as he walked forward. "You must leave the land of despair and follow the road that will lead you to the lost Shen Gong Wu."
"At least that one was kinda short."Kimiko remarked.
"And I didn't end up yawning."Alice snickered.
"Master Fung is right, we must strike when Spicer is most vulnerable!"Omi declared.
"Well, that would be anytime."Raimundo admitted.
The five monks headed to Jack's House, only to get stunned to see a huge entrance in the wall and the laboratory badly damaged.
"Something weird happened here."Kimiko commented.
Then Monkey Jack came out screaming inside his lab causing the monks to go in their fighting positions.
Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay, Alice and Omi remained in their fighting positions, but Jack didn't attack.
Clay picked up Monkey Jack by the head.
"Easy there, Monkey Boy."Clay instructed. "What's going on?"
Jack dropped the Monkey Staff and Clay placed him down.
"Hey, guys."Jack greeted with a smile. "Boy, am I glad to see you."
"Did we just walk into a parallel universe?"Kimiko asked.
Alice shrugged in respond.
"I don't wanna frighten you guys."Jack said. "I just used the Monkey Staff to escape the evil snowman."
"Oh, I like snowmen."Omi remarked. "Does he have a carrot for a nose."
An image bubble of a friendly snowman appeared above Omi's head causing Kimiko to shove Jack away and popped the image bubble.
"He destroyed all my robots and then he left with Wuya."Jack admitted as he picked up a Jack-Bot head.
"We must track down this most evil of Snowmen."Omi stated.
The five monks began to leave, but then Jack spoke up.
"Please, take me with you!"Jack begged sadly. "I'm all alone! I have no robots, I-I'm weak and helpless!"
Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay and Alice began to leave but Omi stood where he was.
"We are Xiaolin Warriors, we must protect the weak!"Omi admitted. "Even if it is Jack Spicer."
Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay and Alice face palmed as Jack brightened up.
"That means yes, doesn't it?"Jack asked and jumped in joy. "Yipee!"
Jack hugged Omi while rubbing the small boy's head.
"I am feeling most uncomfortable!"Omi scowled and started hitting Jack a little. "Please only touch me, if you are kicking or chopping!"
Omi walked away while Jack crawled on the floor to follow him.
The Next Morning...
Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay, Alice and Omi began to head inside the temple with Jack right behind them.
"Wait here until we figure out where your going to bunk."Clay ordered.
The five monks went inside the temple as Jack started mimicking and doing Clay's actions.
But then Raksha showed up to look for Shen Gong Wu and let out a evil screech.
Jack began to back away in fear, only for the monks to rush outside.
"What a horrible screech."Alice scowled while rubbing her ears.
"We've got some serious ice to crush!"Raimundo stated.
"Don't let him get near the vault!"Kimiko warned.
Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay, Alice and Omi launched toward the snowman.
"Please not the face and hair!"Jack cried while dropping down.
The five monks tried to kick Raksha, but the monstrous snowman made his stomach and the young warriors dropped on the floor.
"Typhoon boom, WIND!"Raimundo yelled.
Raimundo sent a wave of wind to Raksha, but the giant snowman devoured it before blowing it on the Brazilian boy causing him to become a frozen statue.
Kimiko leapt into the air.
"Judolette Flip, FIRE!"Kimiko shouted.
Kimiko sent rings of fire to Raksha and the snowman trapped her in a chunk of ice.
Clay tried to use his rope to catch Raksha, only for him to get caught by his own weapon.
"Well, I be hog tied!"Clay said and dropped on the floor.
Alice bit her lip nervously as she stood next to Omi.
Since she was the Dragon of Ice, the pink haired girl wasn't sure that her signature attack would be effective against the monstrous snowman.
"Leopard attack!"Omi yelled and leapt up.
Omi sliced off Raksha's hands as Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay and Alice rushed up to him.
"You've been as they say, disarmed!"Omi stated.
However Raksha easily grows four arms while letting out his horrible yodel.
This caused the monks to get shocked and their mouths to drop open before running away.
Wuya appeared next to Raksha.
"Get the Shen Gong Wu!"Wuya ordered.
The five monks began running to the meditation room while avoiding to be hit by Raksha's four arms.
Raimundo, Kimiko, Omi, Clay and Alice sees Raksha waving at them from the roof.
"Prepare for defeat!"Omi warned. "You shall not-"
Raksha became a pile of snow which entered the room and landed on the five monks.
"Enter."Omi finished.
Raimundo, Kimiko, Omi, Clay and Alice popped their heads up from the snow.
The pile of snow came together and formed Raksha.
The five monks took out their signature wu.
"Sword of the Storm!"Raimundo chanted.
"Star Hanabi, FIRE!"Kimiko chanted.
Raimundo and Kimiko use the Sword of the Storm and the Star Hanabi to melt Raksha.
"Snowman!"Wuya shouted. "Noooo!"
"Fist of Tebigong!"Clay chanted.
Clay used the Fist of Tebigong to create a hole to drain the water, but he fails to catch the Heart of Jong.
Alice, Kimiko, Raimundo and Omi face palm causing Clay to hit himself with the Fist of Tebigong.
This caused Raksha to form again.
The water flows into the vault, where Raksha meets up with Jack Spicer, who was stealing Shen Gong Wu during the battle.
The monks made the vault and head down stairs to stop Raksha.
"Help me!"Jack cried out.
The monks came behind Jack and Alice took out the Komori Sword.
"Komori Sword, ICE!"Alice chanted.
Alice used the Komori Sword to slash away Raksha's hand that was reaching out to grab the Wu that Jack held.
"You've made your bed Spicer, now you must eat it!"Omi admitted.
"I was only luring this walking ice-sculpture into a trap!"Jack excused.
"In our vault?"Omi asked.
"You can thank me later!"Jack responded.
"Sure, why not?"Alice answered sarcastically.
"How do we stop that guy when he changed from ice to water so fast?"Kimiko asked.
"It is most impressive."Omi remarked happily. "I to wish to learn how to shape-shift!"
Omi and the others ran out of the vault as Raksha tried to grab them.
"Just not today!"Omi commented and glared at Raksha. "Prepare to battle!"
Jack took out the Tunnel Armadillo.
"Tunnel Armadillo!"Jack chanted.
The Tunnel Armadillo activated causing the five monks and Raksha to notice Jack making his escape.
"Jack Spicer!"Omi shouted. "He has our Shen Gong Wu!"
Raksha melts into snow to go after Jack in the hole that the evil boy genius escaped in and Wuya flew after him.
Clay, Alice, Omi, Kimiko and Raimundo groaned, realising that they have failed lost once again to stop their enemies.
Suddenly the sun covered by the moon creating a full eclipse causing the meditation room to become darker.
After a few days, the entire planet was being covered with ice and snow.
Alice landed on the ground making a snow angel while wearing the dark blue fluffy coat that was keeping her warm.
"Look!"Dojo cried. "My Shen Gong Wu blisters has frozen into little heart peas!"
A blister popped causing Kimiko to shiver in disgust.
"Sorry, but too much information."Kimiko replied distastefully.
"I say the weather is nice and refreshing despite the situation."Alice remarked in amusement.
Dojo slithered up to Alice.
"Good for you, pinkie."Dojo answered with a glare. "The cold doesn't bother you, but it's bothering us!"
"I guess that means you complained that to Lee as well, Dojo?"Alice asked smugly.
"Perish the thought!"Dojo pleaded desperately while covering his eyes.
Then Jack showed up into the temple while shivering by the cold weather.
"Jack Spicer."Raimundo scoffed. "Maybe we can warm up by having a gold old fashion butt kicking contest?"
"Hey guys, I know what your thinking."Jack replied.
Omi, Kimiko, Alice, Raimundo and Clay glared at Jack.
"You couldn't be possibly or you would be screaming that little girly scream of yours!"Kimiko snapped.
"I've been bad!"Jack cried in guilt. "Now that's over, please let me stay with you!"
"Oh? So you can stay and rip off more of our Wu?"Clay questioned.
"No!"Jack answered with a smile. "I want to help you get back your Wu and my Wu! That evil snowman cleared me out!"
"No surprise, evil wanna be."Alice commented simply.
Master Fung walked up to the group.
"How do we stop a guy that we can't find?"Raimundo asked.
"Sometimes the way to find your enemy is to let him find you first."Master Fung responded wisely.
"I get it."Raimundo admitted. "Maybe we should warm things up a little."
Afterwards Kimiko, Raimundo and Omi come up with an idea to get Raksha's attention.
"Orb of Tornami, WATER!"Omi chanted.
Omi used the Orb of Tornami to make a globe of water over the temple.
"Star Hanabi, FIRE!"Kimiko chanted.
Kimiko uses the Star Hanabi to heat waves into the globe.
"Sword of the Storm, WIND!"Raimundo chanted.
Raimundo uses the Sword of the Storm to keep the globe in place.
Then the Sword of the Storm blows the globe apart, sending hot water over the temple, melting the snow and ice.
Clay and Alice took out their umbrellas to protect themselves from the hot water while Jack cried out in pain from getting washed by the hot water.
Master Fung looked at his apprentices.
"Young monks, you must protect yourselves from evil forces that are drawing very close."Master Fung warned.
"Thanks."Jack responded brightly.
"We are not talking about."Master Fung stated. "There are evil forces that are far greater."
"Not true!"Jack argued and folded his arms.
Seeing the monks defiance, Raksha attacks the Xiaolin Temple.
"Care for a little fire, snowman?"Kimiko asked and took out the Star Hanabi. "Star Hanabi, FIRE!"
Raksha's stomach melted revealing the Heart of Jong.
The monstrous snowman roared Kimiko causing her to run away in fright.
"Seismic Kick, EARTH!"Clay shouted.
Clay stomped his foot on the ground causing a small amount of ground to be lifted up.
"Sword of the Storm, EARTH!"Raimundo chanted.
The Sword of the Storm lifted up the rock from the ground, sending it towards Raksha which ripped the snowman away from his feet.
"Well, looks like the iceman got iced."Clay joked.
Omi and Alice watched as Clay and Raimundo got kicked away by Raksha's new grown feet.
"Your cue, little man."Alice suggested.
Omi rushed forward and took out the Orb of Tornami.
"Orb of Tornami, WATER!"Omi chanted.
Omi fired water at Raksha, but the snowman swallows the water causing his stomach to formed again and become bigger.
"Your supposed to melt smaller not bigger!"Omi stated.
Omi screamed and ran away from Raksha.
"Forget about them!"Wuya snapped. "Get the Wu!"
Kimiko tried to run away but got trapped in a chunk of ice which caused her to drop the Star Hanabi.
The Star Hanabi landed next to Jack's feet causing Alice to pick up the Shroud of Shadows.
"Shroud of Shadows!"Alice chanted.
Alice disappeared from sight.
Raksha went up to Jack.
"Please don't hit me!"Jack said with a nervous smile. "I'm neutral!"
Alice and Raksha touch the Star Hanabi at the same time, starting a Xiaolin Showdown.
"Raksha, I challenge you to a Xiaolin Showdown!"Alice challenged. "I wager my Komori Sword against your Lunar Locket!"
"Snowman accepts."Raksha answered.
"I suggest a Shen Yi Bu Dare."Alice insisted kindly. "Your Heart of Jong against my harmless little Teapot Cannon."
Raksha roared at Alice before responding.
"Snowman accepts."Raksha replied.
"The game is ice hockey and the first one to score a goal wins."Alice stated.
"Let's go, Xiaolin Showdown!"Alice and Raksha shouted in unison.
When the showdown started, a hockey arena appeared.
Alice appeared wearing white pink hockey clothes and Raksha uses ice to make a new body and a hockey stick.
The Dragon of Ice and the monstrous snowman glared at each other.
"Gong Yi Tanpai!"Alice and Raksha yelled out.
The Star Hanabi was the puck and Alice gets to it first, skating toward the goal.
Raksha grabbed Alice with his hockey stick and flings her across the field, taking the puck for himself.
The snowman tries to score a goal, but Alice lands in front of it and grabs the puck with her hockey stick.
Alice sends the puck towards Raksha, knocking him down before racing toward the goal.
Raksha melts into water to slide past Alice and becomes a wall of ice, blocking Alice's path.
Raksha takes the puck and heads back toward Omi's goal.
Alice growled a little as she stood up and took out the Komori Sword.
"Komori Sword, ICE!"Alice chanted.
Alice unleashed a big wave of snow toward Raksha.
"Silly girl."Raksha said and took out the Lunar Locker. "Lunar Locket!"
Raksha deflects the snow wave with the moon by using the Lunar Locket to send it back at Alice.
"Freeze Powder, ICE!"Alice shouted.
Alice uses her element attack to make the snow wave into a frozen ice wave which shocked Raksha.
"What does a snowman drink when the sun gets too hot?"Alice asked smugly and took out the Teapot Cannon. "A chill drink! Teapot Cannon!"
Alice fired a wave of hot tea to melt down Raksha before placing away the Shen Gong Wu.
"Time to win this game."Alice stated confidently.
The puck lands in front of Alice while deformed melted Raksha stood between the pink haired girl and the goal.
Alice hits the puck to knock out the Heart of Jong from Raksha and they both fly into the goal, winning the showdown for her.
Kimiko, Raimundo, Omi and Clay cheered at Alice's victory.
"Lunar Locket!"Alice chanted and held up the Lunar Locket.
Alice used the Lunar Locket to move the moon away from the sun causing everything to go bright again.
"Another problema solved by the only ice wielder."Alice said in amusement.
"And now that we have so much snow, anyone up to making a snowman?"Omi asked with a grin and held out a carrot.
Raimundo, Kimiko, Alice and Clay glared at Omi with grim looks before they pelt the young boy with snow and turn him into a makeshift snowman.
The weather goes back to normal, making Kimiko, Raimundo, Omi, Clay and Alice put on their Xiaolin robes again.
"Young monks."Master Fung said. "Now that evil has grown very strong, we must prepare ourselves like never before. I brought each of you armour for further protection."
Raimundo, Kimiko, Omi, Alice and Clay watched in amazement as they were given Xiaolin Armours to be worn during Xiaolin Showdowns with each suit bearing a circle picture of each of their elements.
Alice sees the image of her suit was a lapis coloured circle with a baby blue snowflake on it while at the back of her suit were small bright blue ribbons which meant her hair will be styled in two braided ponytails when she wears her Xiaolin armour.
"I can see myself already."Omi commented. "I am most impressed."
"Awesome colour."Kimiko remarked.
"This is so cool."Alice chuckled.
"Killer style."Raimundo commented.
"Nice duds."Clay admitted.
"From now on, you will wear the special suits when fighting a Xiaolin Showdown."Master Fung stated.
Jack and Wuya stared at the sight in sadness.
"I've got to get me an evil suit of armour."Jack stated sadly. "They say it's the clothes that make the evil doer."
"Well, what do you say Jack?"Wuya asked as she held out her hand. "Partners?"
"Don't I at least deserve an in-sincere apology?"Jack questioned with a frown.
"Never!"Wuya snapped. "You need me as much as I need you!"
"I need you like I need more snow down my pants."Jack responded and stood up.
Jack patted his pants causing snow to squirt out and hit Wuya's face making her look like Santa Claus.
"Apology accepted."Jack said simply.
