Dragon Ball Z: Alternate Love

Chapter 25: Frieza

After Raditz had reunited with his mother and introduced her to his allies, miles away on Namek, Frieza had landed at Lord Guru's home, with Nail glaring daggers at him.

Nail, "you. You're the one responsible for all of the carnage on my planet."

Frieza, "indeed. I am Lord Frieza. And I have come to learn how to use these, er, Dragon Balls, as you call them."

Nail, "did you try working the shaft?"

Frieza, "... classy."

"Nail? What does he want?"

Nail, "he's asking how to use the Dragon Balls."

"Did you tell him to work the shaft?"

Nail, "yessir."

"Good work Nail."

Frieza, "anyways, I tried wishing on them, but nothing seemed to happen."

Nail, "well, if you're having trouble, might I suggest calling one eight hundred, eat a dick?"

"We don't even have those!"

Frieza, "okay, this is getting ridiculous. What IS that?!"

Frieza blasted part of the roof away and flew up, Nail following as Guru was seen.

Lord Guru, "oh Kami! Natural light!"

Frieza, "good lord, I was led to believe that your species survives entirely on water! How is he so fat?"

Lord Guru, "oh, hello. I'm Lord Guru, and I'm NOT judging you by your appearance."

Frieza, "well, I'm Lord Frieza. And I've come to find out how to use these Dragon Balls of yours. It'd be a shame if I had to punish you or your little friend?"

Nail, "you WILL NOT touch him!"

Frieza, "oh? And why is that?"

Nail, "I'll make you a deal."

Frieza, "well, I'm a gambling man. What IS this deal of yours?"

Nail, "a duel, miles away from here. If I'm able to best you, you will leave Namek and never come back. If I lose, as long as you do not harm Lord Guru, I will tell you how to use the Dragon Balls."

Frieza, "hmm…. Deal."

Before they could leave, Lord Guru spoke, "Nail. Listen to me. YOU are Nameks best fighter. When you fight, you carry our entire culture on your shoulders. It was no wonder why I helped unlock your potential long ago. I am truly proud of you Nail."

Nail, "you…. You mean it Lord Guru?"

Lord Guru, "yes. Now, teach this man a lesson."

Nail, "yessir!"

Nail flew away, with Frieza trailing behind. Once Guru was truly alone, he said, "my son. In my last minutes of life, I know you will make me proud…."

….

Krillin, "what about Vegeta? Shouldn't we wait for him?"

Chi Chi, "are you nuts?!"

Raditz, "he'll only force us to make him wish for immortality. We can't let him get that. I don't trust him yet, after everything that's happened."

Bulma, "well then, I suggest we sneak away with the Dragon Balls, wish back Piccolo and the others, and then wait for Goku to wake up so he can help us deal with this Frieza guy."

Gine, "very smart thinking. My son did well in choosing you to be his wife."

Bulma, "er, t-thank you Gine."

Gine, "oh please, just call me mum."

Bulma, "er, okay, 'mum.'"

Raditz, "alright then. Everyone grab a ball, and let's fly off."

Bulma, "but wait! Shouldn't someone guard Goku?"

Chi Chi, "I'll do it. But if Vegeta runs off, I'm heading back to you guys."

Raditz, "good. Now then, let's move out."

Krillin, Gohan, Dende, Chi Cha, Bulma, Yamcha, and Raditz all grabbed a ball and flew off as Chi Chi made her way back inside of the ship.

….

Frieza and Nail landed miles away from both Lord Guru, and our heroes.

The two glared at one another for a few moments before their fight began!

….

The whole group were around the Dragon Balls, Dende about to activate them.

(Namekian will be translated in italics)

King Kai had contacted all of them, telling them of all that had happened with him. After their deaths, Piccolo, Chaotzu, Bora and Upa had travelled across Snake Way to train with him. They had even all learned the Kaioken technique! Piccolo had explained that he had managed to train to be just as powerful as Raditz was now, and that along with being a help against Frieza, him being brought back would bring back Kami and the Dragon Balls on Earth!

Bulma, "so, we know our wishes?"

Krillin, "wish back all four of our friends, thus bringing back Piccolo, Kami and the Dragon Balls. Then, wish Piccolo here to Namek to help us fight. And the final wish, we'll have to think of afterwards."

Chi Cha, "go ahead Dende!"

Dende pointed his hands at the Dragon Balls and chanted, "now, rise Porunga, and grant us our wishes!"

The balls began to glow brightly, and suddenly, a trail of light burst forth from them, rising higher and higher into the now cloud filled sky until it formed the muscular form of Porunga, the Namekian Dragon.

Yamcha, "woah! This guy could wear Shenron like a scarf!"

Porunga spoke in a voice like Shenron, "you have summoned the seven Dragon Balls. Speak your wish, so I may grant it and return to my lair."

Meanwhile

Vegeta had just woken up, and was running to the bathroom, when he looked outside.

Vegeta, "huh. It's nighttime. Since I first got here. After several days. On a planet with three suns…."

After several seconds, realization hit Vegeta like a mallet over the head.

"Oh you MOTHER FU-"

The crew could faintly hear the yelling, "uckers", as they made their wishes.

Dende, "for the first wish, we want the ones known as Piccolo, Chaotzu, Bora and Upa to be resurrected from the dead!"

Porunga's eyes glowed for a moment before he said, "your wish has been granted. Speak your next wish."

Dende, "next, bring Piccolo to Planet Namek, and the other three fighters to their homes on Earth."

Once again, Porungas eyes glowed before he spoke, "your second wish has been granted. Speak your final wish."

….

Meanwhile

On Earth, Tien and Launch were currently washing the dishes, when they heard a knock on the door.

Tien and Launch looked at one another confused.

They went over to the door, and opened it up.

And what they saw made their hearts skip a beat.

Standing there, looking at them with tears of joy streaming down his face, was Chaotzu!

Tien, "C-Chaotzu…?"

Launch, "i-is it really you?"

Chaotzu smiled as he said, "how's the baby doing?"

The trio instantly pulled themselves into a group hug, filled with sobs of happiness. Their family had been reunited!

Miles away, Bora and Upa had awoken on the outskirts of their village, being met with gasps of surprise, that were quickly replaced with cheering.

The friends of our heroes had returned!

….

At the Lookout, we see Mr. PoPo watering the flowers, a content smile on his face but as this occured, he suddenly caught sight of something. On a small display in the middle of the lookout, the stones that had been the Dragon Balls had been placed there for safe keeping. But then, they all suddenly began glowing brightly. Mr. PoPo had to shield his eyes until the light died down.

And that's when he saw it. The Dragon Balls of Earth were now once again seven orange starred balls!

Mr. PoPo, "t-they did it!"

Mr. PoPo felt someone approaching, and quickly whirled around to see Kami there, smiling.

Kami, "hello Mr. PoPo."

Mr. PoPo, "K-Kami?!"

Kami, "so, tell me, what have I missed?"

Mr. PoPo quickly ran to his friend, laughing in joy and grabbing the staff he carried around to return to his old friend.

Kami, the Dragon Balls, and Piccolo had returned!

….

Speaking of which, Piccolo looked very surprised as he looked around at his home planet. It was a bit overwhelming to the Namekian, seeing his homeworld for the first time in his life.

Piccolo, "so, this is Namek. My home. I've never felt like this before. But, I can't be sentimental right now. I've gotta find the others!"

And so, Piccolo quickly located the power levels of his friends and raced off in the direction towards his friends.

….

A few moments prior to this, Frieza and Nail had been fighting like willd, until the Namekian fighter was left on the ground, bruised and beaten.

Frieza, "now, how do I activate these Dragon Balls?"

And that's when the sky went dark.

Frieza, "w-what's going on?"

Nail started snickering.

Frieza, "what's so funny?!"

Nail, "t-the Earthlings have a-activated the Dragon Balls."

Frieza, "what?!"

Nail, "t-they're making t-their wish as we s-speak! Hehehe, y-you've lost!"

Frieza, "I will f #king murder all of you!"

Frieza didn't even bother blasting Nail into dust. He darted off as fast as he could to where the Dragon Balls were, leaving Nail there, barely conscious.

….

Everyone looked around, waiting for Piccolo to appear.

Chi Cha, "um, where is Mr. Piccolo?"

Raditz, "I agree, he should be here, right?"

Gine, "what does he look like?"

Gohan, "Mr. Piccolo is tall, green, wears purple and white."

Dende, "should I wish him over to us?"

Before anyone could blink, Dende was hoisted into the air by an angry Vegeta.

Yamcha, "what the Hell?!"

Then they all turned to see Chi Chi land right behind them.

Chi Chi, "sorry guys! He just ran off so fast that I couldn't stop him!"

Yamcha, "it's fine honey."

Vegeta, "listen here you little twerp. You're gonna speak that little language of yours, and make the Dragon give me immortality, or I'm gonna tear those little ears of yours off!"

Chi Cha, "if you touch him I'll knock you into next week!"

Vegeta put the Namekian down. None of them wanted to start a fight with Vegeta. Especially with Frieza on the prowl.

Krillin, "I don't think we have a choice."

But before Dende could even attempt to make a wish, Porunga's eyes suddenly turned black. A loud screech was heard as the Dragon was suddenly engulfed in flames! Everyone took a step back as the Dragon seemed to explode, with the clouds dissipating, and the Dragon Balls all falling to the ground, as white stone balls!

Vegeta, "w-what the Hell just happened!"

Dende fell to his knees and began to sob uncontrollably.

Chi Cha and Gohan went to their friend.

Chi Cha, "Dende? What's wrong?"

Dende, "t-the Grand Elder. H-he's gone!"

Gohan, "what?!"

Dende, "he's passed on. And now, my people's Dragon Balls are all gone!"

Vegeta, "screw that! Now I don't get my immortality! Could this get any worse!?"

And that's when they all heard someone behind them say, "ahem?"

Everyone stood stiff as a board as they all turned around slowly.

And standing there, was Frieza.

Raditz, "... that's how Vegeta. That's how."

….

Piccolo was going as fast as he could. He knew the others were in danger. He could just feel it. But that's when he saw it. A lone figure, splayed on the ground like a rag doll.

Piccolo descended, and saw the crumpled form of Nail.

Piccolo kneeled down to him, "hey, you dead?"

Nail, "w-what? Another Namekian?"

Piccolo, "what happened to you?"

Nail, "a-a horned man. He w-was as strong as the devil h-himself. He's g-gone after the Earthlings."

Piccolo, "Gohan! Chi Cha!"

Piccolo was about to rise, but Nail grabbed Piccolo's leg.

Nail, "wait! I c-can help you!"

Piccolo, "how? You're too hurt to fight."

Nail, "listen. I-I don't w-wanna die, a-and you need to b-be stronger to s-stand a chance to k-kill this m-monster!"

Piccolo, "how can you help?"

Nail, "it's a-an old and t-taboo technique. T-two Namekian's c-can fuse t-together into one."

Piccolo, "... show me."

Nail, "p-press your hand to my c-chest."

Piccolo did so, and Nail slowly brought his arm up to do the same.

Nail, "n-now. Concentrate on m-me as I f-fuse us together."

Piccolo did so. And suddenly, Nail was covered in blinding light as he seemed to disappear, merging with Piccolo.

After a few moments, the light was gone, and Piccolo was alone. He felt stronger. He looked around.

Piccolo, "h-he's gone."

"Wrong."

Piccolo, "the Hell? Where are you?"

"I'm part of you now. Your power is mine. We are one."

Piccolo, "and this is the side effect?'

"Yep. Now, let's go save your friends!"

Piccolo, "you took the words right outta my mind."

"Literally."

And with that, the now stronger Piccolo raced off to save his friends.

….

Frieza, "so, did I hear Vegeta right? The Dragon Balls are useless now?"

His voice was so calm, but you just KNEW he was just fuming on the inside.

Yamcha, "w-well, not necessarily!"

Frieza, "oh, is there something I should know? Can one of you tell me?"

Raditz, "no-one say anything!"

Frieza, "aw, Raditz. Good to see you again. Oh, and Gine! Did your son let you out of the ice box?"

Gine, "go to Hell, asshole!"

Frieza, "you first."

Vegeta didn't tell anyone this, but when he saw Goku beating Recoome and Burtur to a pulp, he started to remember an old legend the Saiyans once told. Of a Saiyan warrior that was so strong and powerful, they could defeat anything. They were called a Super Saiyan.

Vegeta felt very powerful after being healed by the sensu beans, and actually believed he could live up to this prophecy. But then again, that was mostly his pride talking.

Vegeta, "you're out of your league Frieza."

Frieza, "what? Do you think that with all of you here together, that you can take me down?"

Vegeta, "heh, no. You see Frieza, you're not dealing with the average Saiyan warrior anymore."

Frieza, "oh Kami, please don't-"

Vegeta, "after the fight with the Ginyu's, I've gotten quite strong. Stronger than any of your fighters now."

Frieza, "how many times has he made this speech?"

Raditz, "I think I've lost count."

Vegeta, "for you see Frieza, I may very well be the legendary Super Saiyan!"

"..."

"..."

"..."

"..."

Frieza, "I'm going to kill everyone here for having to listen to that stupid phrase from you for the millionth time."

Raditz, "not if we kill you first!"

Raditz and Vegeta lunged at Frieza, instantly trying to punch the tyrant.

Chi Cha and Gine yelled in unison, "Mr. Raditz/son!"

Raditz, "stand back!"

Bulma, "I'll take Dende to a safer distance away."

Chi Chi, "the rest of us will help with this fight in any way we can!"

Bulma took the Namekian's hand as they flew up to a higher plateau. Meanwhile, Gohan, Chi Cha, her parents and Gine all stood together as Vegeta and Raditz began their assault on Frieza.

Frieza seemed to be just dodging the attacks from the two Saiyans as they tried to strike him.

It was like when a parent pretends that they're on the receiving end of their four year olds rough housing. It was like he didn't have to put any effort into the way he avoided the attacks.

Even so, Vegeta and Raditz continued their assault, trying to land even a single punch on the tyrant.

Down below, Yamcha had an idea. He whispered it to the others.

They all began slowly powering up energy into their palms, ready to fire them at Frieza. Gine looked especially ready. Frieza had kept her as a trophy on his trips all of this time, and she wanted some major payback.

As they slowly powered up their attacks, Frieza immediately put Vegeta and Raditz on the offensive. Now they were desperately dodging the attacks Frieza threw at them with his fists, feet, and even his tail! But unlike the horned fighter, the two Saiyans could barely dodge the attacks he threw at them. Raditz was soon met with a strike to the face from Frieza's tail, causing the large man to rocket to the ground. As he got himself back up from the ground, Vegeta was put on the ropes.

Vegeta tried to block every strike aimed at him, but slipped up, and was struck several times before he was sent flying right next to Raditz.

And then, suddenly, all of the other fighters each fired their balls of energy at Frieza, engulfing him in smoke.

Everyone held their breath as they waited for the smoke to dissipate. Their breaths only grew shaky as Frieza emerged from the smoke, with only a few small scorch marks over his body.

thewittywhy: thanks dude. And I'm glad some people wanna see the Ben 10 story. Once the Frieza saga is done, or if Ben 10 gets more votes than the other options, I'm gonna do a Poll for who the romantic interest will be for that story. I'm leaning towards Looma honestly.

Yeah, I did the whole Nail inside Piccolo's head thing. I thought it was too good not to use.

Also, I found it kinda weird that they didn't wish all of their friend's back at the same time, like how they do later with Earth's Dragon Balls to bring back everyone who was killed on Namek. So, that's one change I made that I hope you guys like. And I wanted to write Chaotzu's reunion with Tien and Launch. They will still have to wish Krillin back, since the Earth Dragon Balls only brought back everyone on Namek who died only once, and so they can send the Namekians to New Namek, as well as another wish that I won't spoil for now….
