Upstairs Penelope sighed as JJ finished with her hair, JJ said, "all done Garcie and might I say that you look amazinggggg", Penelope said, "thank you sunshine, thank you". Emily said, "and we are almost finished with your hair", Penelope said, "I still can't believe that I am finally going to be able to marry hotstuff".
JJ said, "and don't you think it's about time"?, Penelope said, "it is but I didn't have a choice, I had to leave girlies, I had to leave the love of my life or lose him permantly", Emily said, "honey we don't doubt that you left to save Dereks life, we never doubted that for a minute" and Penelope grinned and said, "you didn't"?, JJ said, "of course not".
Emily said, "Derek is the love of your life and you are the love of his", Penelope said, "truer words have never been spoken my raven haired beauty". They were pulled from their conversation when Jessica and Emma walked through the door, Jessica said, "ohhhh Penelope you look stunning".
Penelope grinned at her and said, "thank you girlie" and Emma said, "Derek isn't going to be able to keep his eyes off of you", JJ giggled and said, "or anything else" and everybody laughed. Penelope looked at Jessica and said, "I was hoping that maybe we could switch things up a little bit concerning your Henry".
Jessica said, "sure, sure, what do you need"?, Penelope walked over to her purse and pulled out two pictures, a picture of her mom and dad and one of Dereks dad. Everybody looked at her as she said, "he'll still be a bearer but I'd like to change it to an honorary bearer, I'd like for him to carry these pictures, one in each hand so that we can have our parents with us today".
Jessica smiled and said, "ohhhh I love that idea", Penelope blew out a deep breath and fanned her face and said, "me too, I want my parents to be there and I know that Derek would love to have his dad there too". Fran and the girls walked through the open door and Penelope said, "now that the three of you are here I would like to tell you about a change I've made to the ceremony".
Sarah, Fran and Desiree stood smiling and listening as she said, "Jessica's Henry is going to be an honorary bearer and he's going to be carrying these" as she held up a picture of her parents and one of Dereks dad. Fran pulled Penelope into her arms and said, "I love that, thank you honey, thank you for making sure that they are all here today with us".
Penelope said, "I miss them so much and I know that Derek misses his dad too so I thought this would be like having them there with us, ya know"?, she was pulled into a group hug by all of the women in the center of the room, They were pulled out of their hug by a sound of Dave knocking on the door.
Fran wiped her eyes and said, "come in my love", Dave said, "is everything okay in here"?, Fran said, "everything is fine, just fine" as she leaned in and kissed him on the cheek. Penelope looked at Dave and said, "is it time"?. Dave nodded his head nad said, "it is, are you ready"?, she said, "as ready as I'm ever gonna be papa bear".
Fran and the others kissed her on the cheek and hugged her tight before she said, "we'll see you outside", JJ looked at Penelope and said, "and we're going to be right inside the backdoor waiting on you". Penelope smiled and nodded her head yes as she watched her friends walk out of the room leaving her alone with Dave.
Dave said, "are you sure that you're ready"?, Penelope rubbed her stomach and then said, "I have been ready for a long time Dave, this has been a long time coming". Dave held out his arm and said, "shall we kitten"?, Penelope looped her arm through his and said, "we shall" as they left the bedroom and headed downstairs to join JJ and Emily so they could start the wedding.
