In the short amount of time leading up to the first of May, the group seemed to pack in more fun than ever before given two of their friends would be leaving soon. They went back to the arcade where everything really began. One weekend they went to the lake but it was closed for the month because of some dumb algae problem. Instead of getting bummed out they took an impromptu road trip and went camping. That didn't go as well as they would have wanted but it was for sure memorable. Poor Maya got riddled with massive mosquito bites that she was apparently allergic to. Jasper found poison oak on accident when Monty wasn't watching to warn him of the substance. Octavia fell and scraped up her leg which wasn't a big deal until Lincoln and Bellamy tried to baby her. While it was a messy little trip, it was still decently fun.

As much as they wanted to put it off, it wasn't something they could actually ignore or procrastinate on. The day came where the group helped pack both Maya and Jasper up. It wasn't just a few overnight bags, it was their entire lives being packed up. Harper and Maya's apartment was surprisingly bare with what Maya was packing up. Monty and Jasper's place simply looked cleaner with Jasper all packed up. Of the entire group, Monty and Harper were the most affected. Their roommates and best friends were leaving them and it was the first time either of them would be living alone.

The boys finished loading up the truck and everyone trickled into Clarke and Raven's apartment, taking seats around the living room. The couch was barely big enough for three people so for there being ten people in the room they improvised with pillows on the floor and chairs from the kitchen table. It was somber but they were happy.

"I could eat an entire cow." Jasper quipped.

"Gross, but yeah, I'm hungry," Raven replied.

"We could try to get seated somewhere?" Miller suggested but they all knew that a quick intake for a group their size was few and far between.

"Just not Italian or Chinese," Harper whined having had too many noodles lately.

"I have an idea." Clarke chimed in. "Let's make our own buffet and have one last movie night as a family?"

The reality of that statement set in on their faces but they all loved the idea. Murphy plucked the stack of menus from different diners and Monty pulled up DoorDash on his phone. Between the entire group, they ordered a little bit of everything and more than enough for the group. Delivery people showed up all within the same twenty-minute window, everything from a burger to pad thai. True to the suggestion they made a buffet lineup on the table in the kitchen and pulled down a mismatched collection of plates, bowls, and silverware. No one really ordered anything specifically for themselves and to everyone's surprise, Murphy managed to weasel in a cake order. Who delivered the cake, they couldn't figure out until he revealed it was a personal call from a cafe he took a job with. He realized he wanted to be a cook. Someone he worked with wrote 'We'll Miss You' on a blue and green frosted twelve-inch round cake. It may or may not have made Maya cry, who made Harper and Jasper cry. Eventually, everyone had teared up but Murphy refused to let it be a sappy evening.

"Keep it up and you don't get cake." He threatened, sounding like an angry mother. That replaced the mood with laughter. After they all ate way too much they then indulged in the cake which was a vanilla buttercream and some kind of blueberry almond-flavored cake with a blueberry jam. It was amazing. They all settled in to watch a movie together, the choice was Jasper and Maya's. They picked the 'This Is The End' which was aptly named for the mood but a mood boost overall. The movie was tacky and hilarious and hit every note the group needed right then. Once it was over, leftovers were packed up but left with the girls, who would now have no room in their fridge. Everyone parted ways like it was a normal night, knowing it really wasn't. Jackson and Miller made sure they bid a proper farewell as they wouldn't be there to see the couple off in the morning and everyone else would be. This time Jasper cried first and Miller was smothered in a hug of all hugs.

Once the door was shut and everyone had parted for the night, Raven and Murphy went to bed. For once though, it didn't have an undertone of anything, they genuinely just looked tired and ready to sleep. Bellamy left Clarke in the living room and went to clean the kitchen a bit more, always one to take care of others. Once he was done he joined her on the couch with a glass of water in hand for her. She took a few sips before setting it down and then he pulled the blanket over her from the back of the couch.

Sitting on the couch together, Clarke was a bit more quiet and somber than normal. Granted, her normal mode was quiet to begin with but she had a heavy heart and wasn't making any commentary on the show. Normally she would troll a little and make jabs at things he likes, as he would her but tonight she was silent, nestled into his side with her fingers playing with the fringe of the blanket over her lap.

"You alright?" He asked quietly, his hand moving around her to pull her in more and rest on her upper arm. She nodded.

He only let her get away with that nod for a moment before giving her a gentle squeeze. "We are all going to miss them." He guessed what was on her mind and nailed it without trouble.

Clarke sniffled a little, not exactly crying but the idea threatened her. She finally sighed and gave in to his attempt to comfort her. "It's weird, you know." She stated, and they repositioned to better look at one another, now sitting face to face.

"How close we all became, different friend groups, turn into one weird-ass family. It feels like someone is cutting part of the family out. I know we're not, but I really love the family we have with everyone." She reasoned, her eyes threatening to betray her even more.

He nodded and rubbed her hand. "I get that and I feel that, but it's not like them moving away will make them any less a part of the family."

She thought of his words before nodding. "I suppose. It'll be weird. It's different when someone can't show up because of work or whatever, but for someone to actually be gone from the weekly get together and the overall nucleus feels so weird."

"Yeah, but you get used to it." He said it without even thinking and while it didn't connect right away, Clarke's face said everything it needed to when she realized he was talking about her. When she was in Africa. Her heart sank and her gut flipped, a feeling of remorse flooding her body. He held her hand tighter at the realization.

"I didn't mean to-"

"No, you're right. I did that to you guys but on worse terms. At least we know they are leaving, and why." She feigned a smile through the anxiety brewing in her.

"Clarke, you did what you needed to and came home to us, to your family. No one faults you for that."

Nodding again, she ran a thumb over the back of his hand. "I know I wouldn't change things if they had any other outcome."

Her words must have hit him deep because he looked smitten and leaned in, she instinctively leaned toward him to meet his lips but they didn't kiss. The world slowed down for a moment as he looked at her. She felt it, whatever it was he was feeling. He seeped out of his soul and into hers, into the air around them and the mood became dense in a completely different way.

He looked like he wanted to say something and she waited for the nanoseconds that passed.

"Clarke, I-" He paused to smile. "You have no idea how much you saying that means to me. I wouldn't change anything that happened to lead to here either, because it brought us here." His boyish grin was electric and her eyes welled up in a new way. The love pouring out of him was overwhelming in the best way, and she knew exactly what it was. It was love. They were in love, and hell they probably had been for a while but she knew in this moment that they were on the same page.

"I love you." The words fell into the blanket of emotion like a single fiber of silk that was needed to finish the entire piece and they both had a glaze to their eyes. Bellamy's face lit up and tears magnified his freckles while a smile crashed against her. The kiss was sloppy and real, both of them fighting shit-eating grins. After a fervent few seconds of sloppy kissing, they separated only inches.

"You know I love you too. Wholly and utterly head over heels for you." He smiled. It was Clarke that said it first, out of the two of them. Something they had probably both thought of but never expected to go the way it did or even have an idea of if and when it would happen, should it. Yet, it was so perfect. Both Bellamy and Clarke knew they were the type of couple that didn't need to say it, or even hear it to know it was true. They felt it, and now they finally shared it and the Gods be damned if it wasn't the best feeling.

Happy tears dried fast and were replaced with laughter and sloppy kisses. Those kisses eventually turned into something deeper and full of lust. It wasn't long before the TV was abandoned for the bedroom and the night ended with an eventful, heated passion akin to the honeymoon phase of every couple's relationship that they never really went through. This was different though, a wholeness that they didn't know was missing. Needless to say, they forgot about their friends moving away.

Morning came far too fast. What sleep they could manage felt uneasy. Clarke woke to void in her bed. Bellamy had already been up which wasn't abnormal for him. But this morning she wanted him there. Begrudgingly she peeled out of her bed and roughed up her hair as she walked out into the hallway. It was empty, and so was the living room and the kitchen. She knew no one was in her bathroom and she could see no one was in the main one. Confused but not alarmed, she settled on waking up with some coffee. Just as she was refilling the basin of the coffee machine, Bellamy quietly walked in. She barely hears the click as the door closes.

"Hey-" She noticed his arms full. He went out to get donuts and coffee for everyone and even with his wingspan, he was struggling. She bounded to him and lifted the two very full drink caddies from his hands.

"Morning." He stole a kiss before she could walk away and into the kitchen.

"Why do you always take care of everyone else?" She playfully nagged him as they set things down on the dining table.

"Why, it's my job, Princess." His smirk made her fight back with one of her own and they embraced, sharing sweet and playful kisses as they stood in one another's arms.

"Ew, get a room." Low and behold, Murphy would be the one to interrupt them and half-dressed no less.

"Get some pants." Clarke quipped back and Bellamy added on to it.

"Or go home." The couple laughed at him and he rolled his eyes as he closed in on them.

"Is this for everyone?" He asked, barely even waiting for an answer before looking into one of the paper bags.

"Yes, but."

"Yeah, yeah. I know, don't eat it all." Murphy palmed a bear claw and a cup of coffee before waving them off and disappearing back into Raven's room.

"That man has no respect for anyone else," Bellamy stated. He wasn't angry, it was more of a playful observation.

Clarke laughed. "You get used to it." She shrugged, turning to pluck a cup of coffee for herself. He stopped her.

"This one is yours." He tapped a lid with a little blue dot on it in what was likely marker. She picked it up and took a sip. It was her perfect order and he knew it somehow by heart. On the tips of her toes, she kissed his cheek.

"Thank you."

"Mind if I grab a shower?" He asked, as he always did. He never tried to help himself to her apartment unless it was to clean or get something someone else asked for.

"You don't have to ask." She tried, but he just smiled as they both knew he would. He disappeared back into her bedroom to shower. It wasn't a half out later and everyone was up and ready to face the day. Clarke and Raven went over to the other apartment to bring them coffee and the bag of donuts Bellamy got for them. The groups converged there and chatted for a bit before they finally found themselves down in the back parking lot. The moving truck was packed up and locked. Bellamy and Monty making sure Jasper had checked off everything he needed or wanted to bring. No one cried this morning, be it from being tired of having gotten it out of their systems. When Jasper took the wheel of the truck and Maya climbed in beside him, it felt like a void was forming and it was. Clarke and Raven stood with Monty and Harper as their friends drove away, Harper couldn't help but cry. They turned not a block away and were gone. Monty pulled Harper in for a hug.

"Let's go." His tone is sweet and soft. Monty and Harper went back up to her apartment and likely stayed there for the day. The rest of the gang had to work but at least it was a Friday. Only, tomorrow they would have their movie night without their two friends. The other two couples went about their days as normal, going to work.
