Hello everyone, Droids here with a quick update. As previously mentioned, I'm tweaking NAIS from the ground up, and so far I've gotten through chapters 1 to 18. I've changed quite a few things, but I'm not sure if ffnet is sending out notifications, so just thought to keep yall up to speed!

As I said, I'm not giving up on this fic anytime soon, even with my horrendous update schedule, but I'll keep at it til it's done. Thank you all for your patience, and if you're still reading after all this time, thank you for your support.

While I'm here, I'd like to use this platform to the best of my abilities. As most of you have probably heard, there's been mass protests going on with regards to the black lives matter movement in America and all over the world. Police brutality is a crime and a system that lets this happen without justice is one that is in desperate need of fixing. With everything going on at the moment, here are some things u can do to help:

1. Donate! There's a bunch of donation sites and ways to help, listen on the blacklivesmatter carrd. The first google search result should lead you to it. If you're not in a place to donate, there's a youtube video you can run with ads on, and proceeds will go to supporting the cause. You can find it by googling STREAM TO DONATE, the video is by Zoe Amira

2. Share what you're able- petitions, articles, videos, anything to spread awareness. Knowledge is power. Remember their names and make sure they are known- there can be no peace without justice.

I would also like to bring to attention an issue that has recently occurred closer to home, where 5 frontline workers have been arrested for peacefully protesting their mistreatment at the hands of their employees. These cleaners who are at the forefront of the battle against COVID-19 were not given appropriate PPE to carry out their work, and were refused so much as appropriate break times in between their work hours. As a result, they were jailed for their protests, and their bail has been set at MYR 1,000 per person (for comparison: these people are earning just slightly over MYR 1,000 per month. Getting out of jail on their own coin would mean going hungry for a month for these people in the middle of a pandemic). If you'd like to help these people, you can:

1. Send protest emails to the ones who were involved in the arrest of these frontline workers. There are instructions and a template that you can find in the following link: www.*remove this*instagram*remove this*.com/p/*remove this*CBA_B3QgOsp/

2. If you are able, please donate to these workers' bail funds as well. The instructions can be found on the union's twitter, KesatuanPSHK. If you need a translation or further clarification, please DM me and I'll be happy to walk you through it!

The above twt account has also shared the news articles related to this incident, but if you'd like more resources that would clarify this situation, feel free to ask me as well.

The world is in a rough place right now, between a pandemic and all the horrors we're seeing committed. Please do not lose hope- stay safe, stay aware, stay alive. I hope you're all doing well and are safe wherever you are.
