The epilogue has already been posted; this is not a narrative chapter. The following is for the armament detail enthusiasts

The small arms: There are three handguns in service A full size .45 double action. Similar to the Smith &Wesson 4506. A compact version of the same and a short barreled .357 revolver. A .45 caliber sub-machine gun similar to the M1A1 that takes 20 or 30 round stick magazines or a 50- round drum. A .30-06 Semi-automatic rifle fed from a 20 -round magazine. A .30-06 squad automatic weapon, a semi-automatic 12- gauge shotgun, and six- round. Drum fed 40 mm grenade launcher. Platoon and company support weapons: .30-06 medium machine gun, .50 caliber heavy machine gun, 81 and 120mm mortars, and 100mm anti-vehicle rocket launcher.

Wheeled vehicles. All wheeled are four or six- wheel drive. A ΒΌ ton truck (Jeep-like), one-half, one. Two and one half and five- ton trucks. A six-wheel lightly armored scout car armed with a 20mm cannon and a .50 caliber machine gun in a turret. (cavalry)

Tracked vehicles: A fast scout vehicle with a four- man crew armed with a 20mm automatic cannon and a medium machine gun. (cavalry) An armored personnel carrier that carries a squad, and a three-man crew, Armed with a 30mm automatic cannon and co-axial machine gun in a powered turret. (mechanized infantry) A light tank, mounting a 75mm cannon, co-axial machine gun and a .50 caliber machine gun. (armored cavalry) A main battle tank, mounting a 120mm cannon, a coaxial .50 caliber machine gun, Roof mounted .50 and .30 caliber machine guns. (armor)

Field artillery: All field artillery is self-propelled. 105mm, 155mm and 200mm cannons.

Army Air Force Aircraft: Fighter-interceptors: Caledonian Aviation F-4A Single seat swept-wing fighter turbo-jet with after-burner similar to the North American F-100 armed with four 20mm cannons. F-4B and F4-C two seat night fighters or fighter bombers respectively. Ground attack: Matheson A-6. Twin turbo-jet engine, twin seat straight wing attack aircraft. Which also serve as light bombers Armed with four 20mm cannons and four .50 caliber machine can carry four tons of internally and various bombs and rockets in eight hardpoints under the wings. It is similar to the Lockheed-Martin B-57E. Heavy bomber: Donaldson B-8. Swept wing six-turbo-jet engine bomber. Similar to the Boeing B-47D It is capable of delivering nine tons of bombs, has a six- man crew and extensive defensive armament. Twin 20mm in cannons in a remote- control tail turret, dorsal and ventral remote- control turrets that retract into the fuselage when not in use.

Transport aircraft: There were three primary transport aircraft. The Corwin C/T'- 4 a four- engine turboprop transport, the Hall C/T-5 a four- engine Jet and the Pearce UT-1 A light twin eight passenger aircraft.

Naval Aircraft: The navy's fighters and fighter-bomber aircraft were modified versions of the F-4's with reinforced landing gear and folding wingtips. Matheson also produced a twin turboprop carrier based anti-submarine aircraft. The Pollard H-1 was an air-sea rescue helicopter.

Warships: The four carriers were 900 feet long, had a top speed of 35 knots, carried eighty aircraft. Defensive armament of 8 five- inch guns, 20 40mm and 20 20mm anti-aircraft guns. The battleships were also 900 feet long with a top speed of 35 knot. Main battery of 9 X 16- inch guns. Secondary battery of 12 X 5- inch guns. 30 each of 40 and 20 cannons.

Battle cruisers: Length 850 feet, speed 35 knots. Armament 9 X 14-inch guns. 10 X 5-inch guns. 30 each of 40 and 20mm cannons.

Heavy Cruisers: Length 675 feet. Speed. 35 knots. Armament. 9 X 8-inch guns, 12 X 5-inch guns. 12 X 40mm and 20 X 20mm cannons 8 X 24- inch torpedo tubes.

Light cruisers: Length. 610 feet. Speed. 35 knots armament. 9 X 6-inch guns. 8 X 5-inch guns 10 X 40mm and 10 X 20mm cannons 8 X 24- inch torpedo tubes.

Destroyers: Six Gordon class. Length: 400 feet. Speed: 37 knots. Armament: 6 X 5- inch guns 12 X 40mm and 12 X 20mm cannons. 10 X 24-inch torpedo tubes. Six Fox class: Length 375 feet. Speed: 37 knots. Armament: 5 5-inch guns in 5 turrets. 10 40mm and 10 20mm cannons. 10 24-inch torpedo tubes.

Frigates: Length:325 feet. Speed: 35 knots Armament: 2 X 5-inch guns. 10 X 40mm 10 X 20mm cannons. 4 X 24-inch torpedo tubes.

Corvettes: Length: 300 feet. Speed: 30 knots Armament 3 X 3- inch guns. 8X 40mm 8 X 20mm cannons 4 X 24- inch torpedo tubes.

Patrol torpedo boats. Not much like the PT boats of WWII fame. These boats are light aluminum hulls, 100 feet long and capable of 60 knots. Armed with four 24- inch torpedo tubes with 12 reloads. A 12- rack launcher of 5- inch rockets amidships A 30mm automatic cannon fore and aft and a 20mm cannon on either side of the bridge Their only protection is their high speed and maneuverability. Therefore, they're only used in night attacks or heavy fog.

Submarines: Length 350 feet. Speed: 25 knots, surfaced, 12 knots submerged. Armament: 10X 24-inc torpedo tubes.

Note: all torpedoes are high speed electric, homing torpedoes.
