Chapter: 21, For Insecto
It was night. A billion stars were out. I loved looking at the stars. Where I live, I barely see any stars, but here it was beautiful. It always gave me a good feeling inside, that everything is going to be all right, but tonight wasn't the night to star gaze. Tonight was the night… for revenge.
Monger drove the jet while we sat in the hold. Link told us his plan and got us in the mode to kick those aliens' butts! …for Insecto. We finally reached our destination.
We then saw something that made us want to choke. The Mother ship had a mouth Literally, it was like part…monster, part machine. I'm not sure monster was a good word for this thing, but there it was, a huge mouth full of sharp teeth. Its tongue lashed and the mouth snapped its sharp teeth.
It was the weirdest thing to see.
"Its like as if the whole mother ship is…living!" Doc observed in horror. When we were about 100 yards close to it, it spotted us.
The whole X turned a bit toward us. Then, from the mouth came a huge purple ball of energy.
So that's where the recent ball came from and hit… I thought then started to tear up at the thought of Insecto.
"Get ready monsters!" Monger yelled to us.
Link opened the door to the hold.
We were ready.
When the ball of energy was the size of the moon, the mouth closed and the ball came toward us. "Now!" yelled Monger and we jumped. I spread my wings.
Everyone else flew with jet packs. Susan had about seven strapped to her. We finally found an opening and landed inside. Susan, B.O.B., Doc, and Link took off their jet packs. We turned and then saw the huge jet trying to shake off the ball of energy.
Suddenly the ball met up with the jet and we watched a super explosion happen. We hoped Monger survived the explosion but we weren't 100% sure. "No time to mourn now, we have some aliens to deal with," Link announced to us. We followed him down the tunnel to the inside of the ship.
Susan looked at the tunnels' walls. "What is this tunnel for?" she asked
"This place is where the smaller ships come out," Doc answered Susan.
"Duck!" Link yelled and we all ducked.
"Where?" B.O.B. asked.
Just then a couple of alien saucer ships flew past us and out of the tunnel. B.O.B.'s mass got hit and scattered. "Ahhh! My back!" he screamed and looked at his back. "Oh right I don't have a back!" he said laughing as he pulled himself together. Doc smacked his forehead and shook his head in disbelief and embarrassment.
We then continued walking. We then got to the home of the alien saucers. They all the sudden seemed very familiar. As if I have seen them before somewhere. Suddenly a couple of aliens started walking toward us. We quickly hid behind some machines.
Susan hid behind a parked saucer.
They didn't see us and passed us.
That's when it hit me.
They were the same aliens we fought in Tomorrow Land!
I looked at the others and they just realized it as well.
When they were gone, we got up from our hiding places and continued walking. "So what's the plan now Link?" asked Doc nicely.
"We find the aliens and kill them all," he answered Doc angrily. Obviously Link kept a huge grudge on the aliens.
"Ah, I get it, simple and basic," Doc said, trying to not make it sound like that Links plan was so stupid and he could think of a better plan then that.
Then we found it.
The nest.
We were on a second story looking down at the swarm of aliens. They were all crowded around staring up at their leader. The leader looked just like them but had what looked like a crown but it was in an X shape, just like the mother ship.
"Wow! That's a lot of aliens," I whispered. Everyone else nodded. We crouched down low so we wouldn't be seen.
Suddenly they all turned their heads at once up to us. We jumped.
"I hate when they do that," said Susan.
Then they all raised their right arms.
"For Insecto!" yelled Link and jumped down and crushed some aliens. We watched Link fight some aliens while we stood on the balcony.
"Yeah!" B.O.B. yelled and jumped down and started to fight some aliens as well. Doc and Susan looked at each other and nodded, then jumped down, leaving me the last one on the balcony.
"For Insecto," I said before jumping off the balcony.
