Sesshomaru raced through the forest as fast as his legs would let him. His only goal, to get as far away from Narakus castle as he possibly could before Byakuya woke up. Or even worse, Naraku returned and discovered him missing. His current, human like condition however, would not let him run for as long, or as far as he wanted, and he quickly became tired. His running slowed to a stop as he leaned against a tree, panting to catch his breath. He took in his surroundings, tress, nothing but trees for as far as he could see. He looked behind him, and could still still barely see the top of the mountain that the castle was on, masked by the barrier. No, hes still to close, he needs to get further away. Taking a few more gasps of breath, he continued forward, opting not to run this time, but walk at a brisk pace. He had no idea where he was headed, but as long as it was away from that castle, he didn't care.

Night had fallen an hour ago, the moon now low in the sky. Sesshomaru kept on trudging forward in the dark. Seeing at night was never a problem before, but now that his eyesight was weakened, he could barely make out anything in front of him. He cursed as he walked right into a tree and stumbled backwards. He was exhausted, it would do him no good to collapse out here in the middle of nowhere, he needed to rest. Looking around him, he spotted a large tree not to far from him, with a large hole in the trunk. Stumbling, he made his way other to the tree, and pulled himself into the hole. It was just wide enough for him to fit, and just small enough to hide him from view. He stretched himself out, and leaned himself onto the tree wall. His eyes heavy, he allowed them to close for a moment to rest. He very quickly fell asleep.

Sesshomaru was startled awake when he felt something grab him and pull him from the tree, tossing him onto the ground. Rubbing his head, and trying to blink the sleep out of his eyes, he looked around trying to located his attacker. His eyes fell onto his assailant, and a cold chill went down his spine.

"Found you..."

Kamavirya towered over him, his eyes gleamed in the moonlight as he started Sesshomaru down. Sesshomaru slowly stood, as the lion demons eyes followed his every move. Sesshomaru brought his fists in front of him, and took a fighting stance, and the lion demon burst into a fit of laughter.

"What this now!? Your going to fight me? Oh that is hilarious! Oh by all means Sesshomaru, bring it on. I'll even let you throw the first punch! Here."

Kamavirya tilted his head to the side and pointed to his cheek, a large grin on his face. Sesshomaru let his lips come to a small smirk.

"If you insist."

Sesshomaru focused on the shards as he pulled his arm back, and threw his fist at the chuckling lion demon. His fist collided with Kamaviryas jaw, and the lion demon went flying backwards, crashing through a tree. As the tree toppled, Sesshomaru took this as his chance to run, and he turned and bolted down the forest. He didn't make it very far when a strong hand grabbed his hair and yanked him backwards. Sesshomaru grunted in pain, and rammed his elbow into the lion demons stomach. Kamavirya lurched over and coughed up golden blood, his grip on Sesshomarus hair loosened and Sesshomaru pulled free. He turned around and backed away from the lion demon, as he coughed and sputtered, his arms wrapped his stomach.

"How gasp in the hell are you so gasp strong all of a sudden!"

Kamavirya glared up at Sesshomaru, as he continued to back away. That's when he noticed it, a small glimmer of light emitting from Sesshomarus arm. Kamaviryas frown turned into a wide grin as he realized what was happening.

"Hah...hahahah... I see. You have my jewel shards, it all makes since now."

The lion demon straightened himself, and began to stalk towards the Inu. Sesshomaru glanced around before finding a large tree branch. He bent down and grabbed it, before beginning to back away again. It wasn't much, but it was still a weapon of sorts. Kamavirya just laughed.

"That must be how you escaped Naraku as well. Your a crafty one, I'll give you that, Sesshomaru. But it will do me go good if you have that kind of strength. So I'll give you the choice, either you go ahead and give me my shards back. Or, I'll just rip your arm off and take them myself."

Sesshomaru felt his body go rigid. He JUST got his arm back, no way was he going to lose it again. But at the same time, he was done cowering away from his enemies. He still had the jewel shards, he wasn't so powerless now.

"I'm not giving you anything, scum."

Sesshomaru held the tree branch in front of him, ready to take a swing should Kamavirya get to close. The lion demon snickered, as he continued to stalk towards Sesshomaru, closing the gap between them slowly.

"Very well...your arm it is."

Kamavirya held out his claws, and they began to glow a brilliant gold. He held his hand above his head as whips, much like Sesshomarus, began to form, and Sesshomaru prepared himself for the worst.

"Windscar!"

A rush of yokai and wind went flying by him, and engulfed the lion demon, who narrowly dodged the attack. A blur of red and silver landed right in front of him, and Sesshomaru let out a sigh of relief as his heart began to flutter. But then his heart caught in his throat when he saw his brothers face. Blood red eyes, jagged purple markings across his face, his demon had taken over.

"Inuyasha..."

Inuyasha looked him up and down, assessing any damage that his brother might have. He was banged up, that's for sure, but other than that, he seemed to be ok.

"You alright, Sesshomaru? And what's with the tree branch? You ain't thinking of fighting with that are you?"

Sesshomaru started at him confused. His demon had come out, but he was still in control? How was this possible. Was it because he still held Tessaiga?

"I am unharmed, and it was the only thing I had. My swords are with Ah-Un."

"Well whos problem is that?"

Sesshomaru felt his eye twitch and he glared at his brother, but his eyes quickly fell to the figure who landed behind him. Inuyasha caught his glance and turned around to face the lion demon. Kamaviryas left side was slightly burned, looks like he didn't completely escape the blast.

"Who the hell are you?"

Kamavirya straightened himself and glared at the two Inus. Two giant golden bat like wings, burst from his back.

"I am Kamavirya the Lion Demon of the Skies. And you...you must be Sesshomarus half brother, Inuyasha. Last I heard, Sesshomaru forsake you as a child, and is persistently after your fathers sword. Why would you come to his aid?"

Sesshomaru saw Inuyasha ears flatten against his head and he felt himself wince. Why did he have to bring that up?

"Keh! Its none of your business what I do!"

"Aww, how sweet." Kamavurya laughed. "After all hes done to you, you still protect him because hes family, is that it? Well trust me when I say I know Sesshomaru. Forsaken once, forsaken always, isn't that right, Sesshomaru?"

Inuyasha growled low and turned his head to face his brother, his voice low.

"Sesshomaru just who the hell is this guy?"

"He used to be my war adviser long ago. But his mental stability was questionable, so I banished him from my lands."

Inuyasha ears twitched at the malicious laugh that came from the lion demon.

"Sounds about right to me. But why is he after you? Where is Naraku?"

"Naraku gave me to him as a...prisoner, in exchange for jewel shards. Its a long story after that...but...Inuyasha. Kamavirya tried to rape me..."

A cold chill went down Sesshomarus spine as Inuyasha let out a low, reverberating growl, his fangs elongating. Inuyasha snapped his head back to face the laughing lion demon.

"You did WHAT!?" Inuyasha snarled.

"And I'd do it again! In fact I plan on it. Why do you even care? You know what? Never mind, because I don't care! Now out of my way before I kill you and skull fuck your corpse!"

Inuyasha let out a vicious snarl and raised Tessaiga high.

"Windscar!"

Yokai blasted forth from his blade, rushing straight for Kamavirya. The lion demon grinned, and pulled out what seemed to be a small crystal from his pocket. Taking to the skies with one flap of his giant wings, he tossed the crystal out in front of him. The windscar surrounded, and over took him. Inuyasha grinned, that was easy. His grin faded fast, and his Windscar stopped, and reversed its direction, headed straight for the two Inus. Thinking fast, Inuyasha grabbed Sesshomaru, and leapt out of the way just before the Windscar hit, destroying everything around where they once stood. Inuyasha landed among the wreckage and set Sesshomaru down.

"What the hell!? How did?"

As the dust settled, Kamavirya remained in the sky, a giant crystal shield in front of him.

"Like it? I heard of a mirror demon that once belonged to Naraku, that could reflect any attack. So I replicated it with my crystals, quite easy if I do say so myself."

Inuyasha growled. Great so it was Kanna and her mirror all over again. But Inuyasha doubted this little shield could amount to what Kanna could do. Lets see how he does with a Backlash wave. Inuyasha raised Tessaiga above his head again.

"Windscar!"

Once again yokai rushed towards the lion demon, surrounding him, and reversing it direction back the way it came. Here goes nothing.

"Backlash Wave!"

Both energies raging yokai clashed with one another, the Backlash Wave easily overtaking the previous attack. It overtook the lion once again, and to both Inus surprise, came barreling back at them. Inuyasha barely had time to grab Sesshomaru and get out of the way. He didn't jump in time, and the aftershock of the back sent them flying. They both landed on the ground with a hard thud. Laugher rung out as the dust settled once again, Kamavirya still in one piece, his crystal shield and golden wings shimmered in the moonlight. Inuyasha pushed himself up and spit dirt out of his mouth, his eyes fell to Sesshomaru, struggling to sit up.

"Shit, you ok?"

"Yes, I am fine."

"Good, god dammit!"

Sesshomaru watched Inuyasha pound the ground with his fist as he cursed. He turned his gaze back to the lion demon as he laughed. There had to be a way around his shield. It shone in the moonlight, and thats when Sesshomaru noticed a small crack in his shield. So the shield wasn't as all powerful as he thought, we just need a more powerful attack, that might shatter it completely. His eyes fell to Tessaiga. A more powerful Tessaiga? Wait...Of course! Pulling his sleeve back, he reached for the shards in his arm.

"Inuyasha, here, use these."

Inuyasha looked down and saw four jewel shards in Sesshomarus hand.

"Sesshomaru, where the hell did you-"

"It doesn't matter right now, take them and use them on Tessaiga! Trust me, it will break the shield."

"Keh, fine."

Inuyasha took the shards from his brother, and stuck them in the base of his blade. He hopped this worked. Kamavirya shot Inuyasha an amusing look as he stood, and held Tessaiga above his head again.

"Windscar!"

"When are you going to give up Hanyo!?"

The Windscar collided with the shield, and once again came rushing back at him. Swinging his sword again, just as he was about to unleash the Backlash wave, Tessaiga began to glow pink, as the jewels shimmered from their place in the blade.

"Backlash Wave!"

The immense yokai that came from Tessaiga glowed a bright pink, instead of its usual color. It clashed with the opposing Windscar and overtook it effortlessly, pushing back both opposing forces of yokai at the lion. Kamavirya laughed as it hit the shield, but his laughing soon stopped as a cracking sound came from his shield. It shattered into pieces and the blast overtook him, a shrill scream of pain filled the night air. The yokai dissipated, and the lion demon was gone. Inuyasha lowered his blade to rest on the ground as he caught his breath, that final blast took a bit more effort on his part than he expected. But it was over now. He removed the shards from Tessaiga and sheathed the blade. He turned to face Sesshomaru, and held out his hand.

"Here, you need these more than I do right now."

Sesshomaru reluctantly took the shards, and placed them in his pocket. He brought his gaze back up to Inuyasha.

"...You saved me again."

"Yeah, I seem to be doing a lot of that lately, huh." Inuyasha snickered.

They stared into each others eyes for what seemed like forever. A gentle breeze picked up around them, their silver hairs, flowing and shining in the wind. Inuyasha closed the gap between them, and pressed their lips together. Sesshomaru gave into the kiss, placing his hands on his chest, while Inuyasha placed his hands on Sesshomarus waist. Inuyasha deepened the kiss, his tongue forcing its way into Sesshomarus mouth. Both of their tongues danced around eachother, before Sesshomaru pulled away, needed air. Their eyes met again, and Sesshomaru noticed that Inuyashas eyes were no longer red, jagged striped no longer adorned his face.

"I was really worried about you, yah know."

Sesshomaru let out, a rare, and gentle smile, and Inuyasha smiled back. They moved in again for another kiss, when a small voice interrupted them.

"I-Inuyasha?"

The two froze, and pulled away as they turned towards the voice. There Kagome stood, a few feet away from them. Staring at them, with tears in her eyes.
