Chapter 26- Cell block
When I woke up it felt like someone had smashed my helm with a chair, which was entirely possible considering I had no idea what Soundwave had used to knock me out. I instinctively reached for my swords "How in a kaon pit did they get them off of me?" I thought, becuase when I reached for them in their case they were no where to be found.
The last thing I remembered before being knocked out was seeing Rainjet's sly smile as I was falling to the floor, anything past that was dark.
I looked across the bleak walls of the cell, Bumblebee lay unconscious across from me. Rainjet had really done a number on him if he had been the first to go down and the last one awake out of the two of us.
The cell we were in didnt really have anything special about it, there was one high window that barely let any light in and a one sided door. "So I guess theres no real way of breaking in or out of here" I said making sure not to speak too loudly incase one of the vehicons that was on guard over heard me. "So I've got nothing to do and no one to talk to becuase my partner is still unconscious, this is a perfect way to start a scouting mission", it was true Bee and I hadn't even been in the field for our full hour and a half before he got ourselves caught.
"Wait are my communications working?" I thought as I attempted to call for back up on my communicator, all I got was static feedback in response "The walls are probably too thick to get any range" I muttered. This was perfect I was stuck in a cell with my all but useless partner in his current state and surrounded by cons. "You know I should expect it at this point, I did sign up to join a war after all".
"Keep it down in there!" A guard yelled banging on my door "I'd like to see you fight me to try and shut me up Decepticon scum" I spat at the him. I didn't get s response from him whoever another person answered "Typical Twinwave, getting all fired up with her captors" Rainjet said from outside the door, this day just keeps getting better and better "What do you wan now?" I was trying not to sound too sarcastic but there was still a scrap ton used when I spoke. I couldn't see her through the solid metal door, so my optic roll was wasted on the empty room.
"Nothing really I just wanted to see how my prisoners were doing" ah great more sarcasm from Rainjet, this really does just keep getting worse. "Well you might only have me left if Bumblebee doesnt wake up, you might've fried his processor when you hit him" it hurt me to say but it was true, if he was still unconscious then she might've done some serious processor damage to him.
"I'm sure Knockout will be able to fix him" she said even better, that psychopathic barbie doll was here too . I could hear Rainjet's pad steps leading away from the door, I guess she didnt have anymore pointless sarcasm to use on me.
I assumed we were in some sort of heavily armed and guarded Decepticon base rather than in the mining base Bumblebee and I had initially got captured at, because I couldn't hear any drilling outside. Regardless I needed to figure out a way to wake Bee up so we could figure out a way to get the frag out if here.
"First things first is I need to wake up sir sleeps a lot" I thought, I got up from where I was sitting and walked over to Bee. "Hey dude wake up", I shook him until I heard a groan come put of his voice box. Good he was still alive. The mech put his servo to the back of his helm "I feel like someone hit me with a ship" he said still taking in our new or our maybe forever surroundings, who knows. "Uh I hate to ask but where the frag are we?", ah he's finally noticed that we're in an almost windowless grey room.
"A Decepticon prison cell", I made it sound like it wasn't a big deal though it really was. "I'm sorry a WHAT?! Why are we in a prison cell?" He asked and I just shrugged my shoulders I wanted to get out of here but I wasn't really showing it. "You were on lookout while I was accessing the Decepticons data base, when Rainjet and Soundwave made a surprise visit to knock us both out. I woke up here, I'm assuming it's a different location because I haven't heard drilling" I said, I could tell he was processing our current situation.
"So you're telling me we got ourselves captured and locked in a prison cell in less than an hour an a half?" I nodded my helm "We really need to get better at stealth, that is if we do ever get out of here" Bumblebee said. "Yeah let's hope we do becuase I'm sure Cee and Tailgate are worried sick about us" well that was if those two hadn't noticed we'd gone off grid yet.
"I woke you up to see if you've got any ideas on how to get out of here" I said, he took a good look around the room we were in before shaking his helm 'no' "I dont see any good way out. The window is too high to access and climb out of, the door doesnt have a window to use to memorize guard shifts and the door is solid metal so no chance of picking the lock" Bumblebee looked a little defeated after he said that, it seemed like I was the one that was going to have to think of a plan to get our sorry afts out of here.
"Perfect" I thought where was our cheerleader Tailgate when you needed him? No where to be found of course ir hanging out with Arcee waiting for our return with the Intel, which wasn't happening anytime soon.
"Theres pad steps coming down the hall" Bee pointed out "They don't sound like Rainjet or Soundwave and the guard hasn't moved yet or changed shifts so its gotta be another one of the Vehicons" I said. When our cell door opened ups Vehicon stood in the doorway "Energon" the he said dropping a tray with a couple of energon cubes on it before slamming the door shut.
Bee pulled the try towards himself and picked up one if the cubes to examine it before deciding that they were edible and taking half. He pushed the tray towards me, I picked up one of the cubes and put it in my mouth letting the energon dissolve in it.
"I half to say this has been the most interesting start to a mission" I said after I'd finished the remaining energon "I couldn't agree with you more he said" we both laughed a little, It was good to have his company.
Then we heard more pad steps and a voice "LET ME GO YOU FRAGGING GLITCH!" she said from down the hallway the pad steps were getting closer to our door "Doesn't that sound like Arcee?" Bumblebee asked "Well we're about it find out" I pointed out as the door creaked open to reveal Soundwave dragging Arcee behind him.
He shot me an icy look, well that is if someone with a visor could shoot you an icy look without having optics. He tossed her in with us "JUST WAIT TILL I GET OUT OF HERE!" she screamed at him, he just closed the door and walked away.
"Uh nice to see you too Arcee" I said to the femme while she still had her attention on the door, like she was expecting Soundwave to come back and fight her. When she heard my voice she spun around "What are you doing here?" She asked in surprise "Same as you" Bumblebee replied "Where's Tailgate?" I added. She shook her helm "I dunno know maybe with Optimus? Last time I saw him was when I left to go find you two idiots after Optimus got intel that you went missing", why was I surprised that Arcee had done a solo recon mission to find us? I mean I should basically except it at this point "Well Bee and I cant seem to find anyway out, you see anything on the way in?" I asked her, "Nothing much just a bunch of empty hallways, and no other cells except this one" she replied.
That was a little weird considering we were in a Decepticon base, they were usually equipped to hold a lot of prisoners "Anything else?" She shook her helm "No nothing, just a bunch of empty and understaffed hall ways" she said. Eell this was an interesting predicament and I thought we were going to have a normal scouting mission, but apparently Primus just hates me at this point. "Now to figure out a way out of here" I thought.
(Sorry about all the sarcasm, I was just in that mind of mood when I wrote this)
