I am very excited to say that DragonGirl135 is coming back to Fanfiction!
If you don't know who Dragon Girl is; she is a fanfic author who wrote a book called Dark wings (this book was heavily inspired by it)
in my opinion she is one of the best authors i've found. so please go check out her fics.

Chapter 24- "determination"
(Bertha's perspective)
(The day after the fiasco on the Bog isles)
Everyone was a bit wary after yesterday, especially Hiccup. He hasn't left the house all this morning. I was worried about him, he hasn't eaten breakfast or lunch, he hasn't said anything other than "goodmorning" and he hasn't left the house since yesterday afternoon.
I was at the docks seeing the Berserkers off. And with me were Cami and Tindra.
Cami was very impatient, everytime Dagur brought up something that would extend the conversation she would groan. Tindra was wary of all the people around us; some of them could be upset with us. Eventually Dagur and I finished our conversation
He knelt down in front of Cami.
"Your impatient to get back to Hiccup." he said
Before Cami could respond he continued
"He's a good man, too much of a goody-two shoes to be a stalker." he said with a grin
Then he stood up and boarded his ship
Cami looked at me in confusion
I merely shrugged my shoulders to show I was none the wiser.
(Hiccup's perspective)
I sat in my room staring at a blank wall for who knows how long.
The only time I had left my room was to get breakfast but even then all I said was Good Morning and barely ate any of my porridge. I finally stood up and walked over to my desk that was under the blank wall.
I had 5 blank pieces of paper in front of me and a pencil, so I began sketching.
On one page I drew a large man with a braided mustache he was missing one hand and one leg, on another page I drew a tall large woman without a helmet her hair was down and she was in a defensive stance, I drew a third person a young man, he was lean but muscular and wielded too hatchets that were covered in flames he had a very strong and determined expression on his face, the fourth person was a large women with her hair in a short ponytail she whore a large helmet and exuded a sense of respect and honor, on the fifth page i drew a short women shorter than me, her hair was all over the page, she wore a smirk of pride, but her eyes were mischievous. I picked up the five pages and hung them on the wall above my desk.
I took a step back and looked at the people I care about; My family.
(Thuggory's perspective)
I was sad, we were supposed to leave today to go back to the meathead islands.
I was having fun here with Hiccup and Cami but now I have to go back to my own home.
"Thuggory can you come here?" my dad called
"Sure." I said and walked over to him
"You enjoy it here right?" he asked
"Yes." I said sadly
"Well I decided to let you stay, with Bertha's permission of course, and that you keep up your studies." he said
I blinked my eyes multiple times in shock
"... I… Thank you!" I cried
"Your welcome." he smiled
"But why?" I asked
"Because you're happy here, and you haven't been this happy since before Edna and Devina died." he said
"Thank you so much!" I whispered as I gave him a hug
Then after we ended the hug I ran outside to tell Cami and Hiccup.
(Gobber's perspective)
(several days after the fiasco on the Bog isles)
I was whistling my favorite tune while clanging away at a sword with my hammer when Hoark one of the guards came running up to the window.
"Gobber…"
"Dont ya worry hoark i'll have yer axe done by tonight." I interrupted
"It's not that… I saw something out in the water."
I grabbed my axe attachment and replaced my hammer with it.
Then I hobbled down to the docks.
By the time I got there, the thing Hoark saw was closer. It looked like a single boat with something floating along behind it
After a while of watching I recognised the boat as one of ours.
It took another few minutes for the boat to arrive at the dock, in those few minutes a large crowd had gathered.
"STOICK! Yer back so soo…" I started before I saw the state of his face and more importantly his beard
"Gobber not now." he said gruffly
After he stepped off the boat Astrid, Fishlegs and the twins got off
"Where's Snotlout?" I asked
Astrid pointed at Ruff and Tuff reeling in a rope and tying it to the dock
I blocked out the sun with my hand above my eyes and squinted at the small object floating behind the boat.
That's when I recognized Snotlout, wearing nothing but his undies in a floating bathtub!
"Hey Gobber." he called to me
"Snotlout what are ya doing?" I asked
"Oh. I was kicked off the Bog Burglar island for calling the heir a whore, this was their punishment." he said gesturing to his "boat"
The twins reeled him in enough so he could hop on the dock.
Spitelout, Stoick and Snotlout all went up to their houses
This left the rest of the teens with me.
"Anyone wanna tell me what happened?" I asked them
"Stoick should tell you." Astrid said simply before walking towards the woods
"We weren't paying attention." Tuffnut said boredly then he and his sister went to their home.
"You need to talk to Stoick." Fishlegs said before scurrying off.
"What happened?" I asked myself…
(Bertha's perspective)
I was helping load the Meathead's ship; they'd be leaving later today.
I was carrying a barrel of salted fish onto the ship when Thuggory ran right past me
"Hel...lo?" I said as he ran right past me
"He's just excited for what I'm about to ask you." Mogadon said as he approached
"And what would that be?" I asked in mock suspicion
He clasped his hands together
"Thuggory enjoys it here, especially with his friends."
"And I would like to ask if he could remain here, under your care."
"That would be great." i said smiling
"I would invite Cami and Hiccup to come to the Meathead islands but… that would mean i'd have to bring 2 extra people there instead of one less."
Then he covered his mouth directing his voice at me
"By the way do I refer to Camicazi as Miss Haddock yet?" he asked conspiratorially
I started laughing
"No, not yet." I laughed
While I was laughing Tindra ran up to me waving a piece of paper
"You need to see this." she said out of breath
"Is something wrong?" I asked
"Just read…" she breathed
I took the letter from her
"Take a break." I said to her
I unraveled the letter
To Bertha-chief of the Bog Burglars.
I want proof that my son willingly went with your daughter, I need a third witness.
The witness can't be from either of our tribes. If no viking witness is found by the end of this week then the Gods will be our witness. Let Thor be the decider.

Mogadon whistled through his teeth
"Do you know if there was a third person?" he asked
"I don't know." I said
"If it's anyone I would think it's Thuggory, but i'm not sure if he was present for that conversation." he said
"I'll go talk to Cami and Hiccup to see if there was anyone else who was present for that conversation."
(Hiccup's perspective)
(after Bertha told them the contents of the letter)
I paced around the room with Cami sitting on the side of my bed
Bertha had already left the room
"Nonononononononono." I mumbled to myself
"STOICK you idiot!" I shouted
"You know to him that's a compliment." Cami said
I didn't respond.
I continued pacing around the room
After a while Cami spoke
"You're making me dizzy with all your pacing." she said
"Sorry." I apologised as I sat down on the bed beside her
"We need someone who heard our conversation." she said sadly after a moment
"Except that's the problem, no one did hear us!" I said standing up annoyed
"What happens if we don't find someone?" Cami asked
My face paled as I thought of it
"I would go back to Berk while you, Bertha and the whole tribe would be shamed for kidnapping me." I said
"So what do we do?" she asked
"Whatever we can." I said sadly but with determination.
